SummaryDiethyl ethoxymethylenemal-onate inhibited the growth of transplanted adenocarcinoma 755 in C57 black mice. The formyl and β-pyridylene malonic ethyl esters as well as two malonamides gave moderate inhibitory values. These compounds were inactive when tested against other transplanted tumors. Some possible modes of action are discussed.
