Resumen Las habilidades blandas son fundamentales en el quehacer científico, particularmente las relacionadas a comunicación oral en inglés. En la Escuela de Física de la Universidad de Costa Rica se ha implementado desde 2017 un intercambio virtual estudiantil. El proyecto realiza actividades con énfasis en temas de Física Médica y cuenta con participantes de Costa Rica, Estados Unidos y México. En este trabajo buscamos identificar las actividades realizadas en el marco de este intercambio virtual de mayor interés para el estudiantado de Física de la Universidad de Costa Rica. Se realizó una encuesta a las 29 personas estudiantes que participaron en actividades de este intercambio en el período 2018-2019. La encuesta incluyó aspectos sobre el conocimiento de los tipos de actividades realizadas, tipos de participación en las actividades, nivel de inglés y confianza en el manejo del inglés oral, así como de factores que limiten la participación. Abstract Soft skills are essential in scientific work, particularly those related to oral communication in English. Since 2017, a virtual student exchange has been implemented at the School of Physics of the University of Costa Rica. The project carries out activities with an emphasis on topics of Medical Physics, and has participants from Costa Rica, the United States and Mexico. In this work we seek to determine the activities carried out within the framework of this virtual exchange that are of greatest interest to Physics students at the University of Costa Rica. A survey was conducted with the 29 students who participated in activities of this exchange in the period 2018-2019. The survey included aspects of knowledge of the types of activities carried out, types of participation in activities, level of English and confidence in speaking English, as well as factors that limit participation.

The widespread adoption of digital tools for learning enables extensive data collection about employee learning activities. This study analyzes how corporations use data to inform and support their learning needs. This study presents a qualitative analysis of what managers and executives overseeing learning and development initiatives in their respective organizations value in learning analytics (LA) at workplace. The interviews were analyzed through a framework that combined lenses of value-sensitive design and value creation to uncover the values underpinning current applications of LA in the corporate sector. We found that corporations vary in their strategic LA orientations when it comes to organizational learning and development. However, although aspirational narratives of executives are diverse, their activities are not. The implications of the rich qualitative findings suggest that learning sciences can support organizational learning by creating diagnostic tools to identify organizational orientations for learning analytics. Computer scientists can also support decision making and research on corporate learning analytics by creating tools that can help map organizational aspirations and activities in relation to the various data sources, stemming from different organizational units. The article is devoted to the issues and problems connected with e-teaching of foreign languages for students in higher school. The results of pre- and post-pandemic surveys after two lockdowns which universities of the Russian Federation suffered from during 2019/2020 and 2020/2021academic years have been compared. The comparative analysis of pre- and post-pandemic students’ attitude to e-learning at the university on the whole and to foreign languages e-learning in particular has been weighed. The authors assessed students’ reaction to possible transition to e-learning, following gradual adaptation to new conditions during lockdown and the role of information technologies in e-learning. Aiming at fundamental analysis of distant learning the authors conducted students’ opinion surveys of the State University of Management on the issues of risks, disadvantages, convenience and advantages of the electronic and blended learning generally and on the issues of foreign language acquisition particularly. Besides, the attainments and skills that the students acquired during the periods of e-learning and which are, in students’ opinion, an essential part of their professional acquirements, have been studied.The article presents the results of postpandemic opinion survey, shows the main problems and advantages of electronic learning, reveals the types of foreign language activities, most recommendable for e-learning, makes conclusions about the advantages of the electronic and blended learning for foreign language acquisition in modern conditions. The conclusions about the necessity of the individual approach to each student even during e-learning have been made.

The objective of this study is to determine Education in the Digital World from the lens of millennial learners. This also identifies the cybergogical implications of the issue with digital education as seen through the lens of the outlier. This study uses a mixed methods sequential explanatory design. A quantitative method was employed during the first phase and the instruments of the study were distributed using google forms. The survey received a total of 85 responses and the results were analyzed using descriptive methods. Following up with a qualitative method, during the second phase the outliers were interviewed,and the results were analyzed using thematic analysis. The results of the mixed methods were interpreted in the form of cybergogical implications. The digital education from the lens of millennial learners in terms of the Benefits of E-Learning and Students Perceptions of E Learning received an overall mean of 3.68 which was verbally interpreted as Highly acceptable. The results reveal that millennial learners perceptions of digital education are influenced by the convenience in time and location, the fruit of collaboration using online interaction, the skills and knowledge they will acquire using digital resources, and the capability of improving themselves for the future. Millennial learners were able to adopt and learned how to use e learning. Also, since it is self paced learning,it allows them to study on their own time and schedule since e learning can be accessed anytime and anywhere. During the periods of sudden transition to online education, the opportunity to make applications that might attract students' attention to the course has decreased even more. Although this deficiency was tried to be eliminated with videos and simulations, it was not possible to ensure active participation of students in some cases. In this study, the Algodoo program, which can increase the efficiency of the teaching environment by ensuring active participation of students in online lessons and the applications that can be done about Impulse and momentum are explained in detail. A total of 6 different applications were carried out, 1 related to the subject of impulse, 1 related to the momentum, 2 related to the relationship between impulse and momentum change, and 2 related to momentum conservation. At the same time, while developing these applications, the adjustments made on the simulation and the reasons are explained in detail. In this way, both the introduction of the program and the sample application suggestion were presented. The values obtained as a result of the applications were calculated and compared both theoretically and on simulation in different ways. As a result, it has been observed that the values have internal consistency with each other and are also compatible with theoretical calculations. This current research aimed at investigate the effectiveness of the e-learning system (the future portal) in developing the academic achievement of chemistry for second-grade secondary school students in Jeddah, and the research followed the experimental approach. The tool consisted in following an e-learning system using the electronic future gate system that was applied to an experimental group of (50) female students, against a control group of (50) students who studied using the traditional method. The study sample was randomly selected The results of the post-test showed that there are statistically significant differences at the level of significance (α≤0.05) between the experimental group and got a total mean (40.38 out of 50) and the control group and got a total mean (36.82 out of 50), and the difference is in favor of the experimental. This indicates that the method of teaching using e-learning (the gate of the future) has improved and promoted academic achievement in chemistry for second-grade secondary students in Jeddah., and the research came out with a set of recommendations, the most important of which is the need to adopt the use of the electronic learning system (the future gate) in teaching chemistry to students, due to its effectiveness and benefit in developing their academic achievement.

Industrial revolution 4.0 has made a major contribution to life. The era of the industrial revolution 4.0 requires human resources who were able to compete in the global economy. STEM education plays an important role in increasing students' creativity so that they can compete in the future. But in reality, the activities that support student creativity in learning have not been carried out properly. The learning materials used were still limited and student learning outcomes were still in the sufficient category. The solution to overcome these problems was to develop STEM-integrated electronic learning materials to improve student learning outcomes. The research method in this research was Research and Development (R&D). This study aims to determine the effectiveness of STEM integrated electronic learning materials. The effectiveness of STEM integrated electronic learning materials obtained in this study was based on student learning outcomes before and after using electronic learning materials, while the significance of the effectiveness of using electronic learning materials on learning outcomes was analyzed by normality test, homogeneity test, and t-test. So it can be concluded that STEM integrated electronic learning materials were effectively used in physics learning to improve the learning outcomes of X grade students.

Background: Being an essential part of the educational process, blended learning still faces some problems concerning the interaction between teachers and students. They include a decrease in the level of knowledge and in the number of graduates as students experience a lack of live communication with the teacher, lack of sufficient experience of independent work, lack of interactive assessment. Aim: This study aimed to elaborate the model of enhanced feedback in an e-learning course, “Fundamentals of Molecular Physics and Thermodynamics,” to increase student educational achievements. Methods: The effectiveness of the model of enhanced feedback in the learning process was measured with the methodology for calculating statistical indicators of the quality of education: knowledge quality, level of student proficiency, progress, and average grade. To measure the emotional and evaluative attitude of students to educational activities and interaction with the teacher in an electronic course, a test-questionnaire satisfaction with learning activity was employed. Results and Discussion: the results of the initial and final control of the statistical indicators of the quality of education including knowledge quality, level of student proficiency, progress, and average grade in students showed a significant difference between the control and the experimental groups. At the end of the semester, the difference in knowledge quality was 23%, student proficiency level – 13%, progress – 3.5%, average grade – 0.6 scores. The analysis of student satisfaction with the learning process also confirms an increase in satisfaction with the learning process and with the interaction with the lecturer. Thus, the experimental methodology contributes to a significant improvement in the learning process results. Conclusions: The experiment demonstrated that replacing formative assessment with the model of enhanced feedback raises student educational achievements and compensates for lack of live communication with the teacher.

Mein Positionspapier ist ein praxisbasierter Beitrag zu den im Call aufgeworfenen kritischen Fragen rund um Gender Studies, Lehre und Digitalisierung. Meine Erfahrungen bei der Durchführung einer Lehrveranstaltung an der Hochschule für Wirtschaft und Recht Berlin beschreibe und reflektiere ich anhand aktueller Empfehlungen für diskriminierungssensible (digitale) Lehre (vgl. Barbarino 2020). Dabei fokussiere ich auf die Konzeption der Lehrveranstaltung sowie deren Durchführung. Abschließend gebe ich Anregungen, wie diskriminierungssensible, digitale (Gender-)Lehre im Hochschulkontext funktionieren kann.

Technology and adult education are often discussed as two separate subjects yet just as it is impossible to live one day without the impact of technology, it is impossible to discuss adult education without considering technology. In the decades since the emergence of adult education as its own field of study and research, these two subjects have experienced substantial growth. However, in recent months, societal issues have forced the pace of this growth into unprecedented and sometimes uncomfortable expansion. The theorists and practitioners who have always been instrumental in moving the fields along were challenged to develop an entirely new paradigm. The issues and reactions will be considered in this article as the foundation for a paradigm shift in adult education. Since effective adult education involves not only information dissemination but communication and collaboration among its participants, online learning activities and entire online courses influence how we view the field itself.

Reshaping education with knowledge and skills is the major objective of many of the developing organization to build competitive knowledge economy. Electronic learning, also popularly known as e-learning is one of the most effective applications of Information and Communication Technology (ICT), which refurbishes the dimension in higher education. COVID-19 pandemic situation justifies the need and real utilization of E-learning. Existing E-learning system provides static content to all learners irrespective of their learning needs. In this paper we propose to create Dynamic Role based access control model based on information from learners needs, audit logs and observations to support adaptive E-learning systems.

Chemistry e-modules based on Problem-Based Learning (PBL) are teaching materials based on electronic learning models or e-learning as a solution during the Covid-19 pandemic for students to learn independently. The purpose of this study is to assess PBL-based academic e-modules from the aspect of validity and feasibility in achieving its learning objectives. The approach used is development research according to the Thiagarajan model. The results showed that at the define stage, an analysis was conducted on the Curriculum 13 (K13) module of the Ministry of Education and Culture (Kemendikbud) with the material “chemical bonding” of Grade X at SMAN 3 Lembar. Furthermore, a module designed using an electronic display integrated with the PBL model was done at the design stage. Meanwhile, the expert validation result obtained an average of 0.86, categorized as valid and feasible criteria at the development stage. The result of students’ responses obtained 72.73% (good criteria), and the result of the chemistry teachers’ responses obtained 88.06% (very good criteria). The PBL-based Chemistry e-module on chemical bonding material is feasible as a Chemistry learning solution for Class X of SMAN 3 Lembar.

Currently, universities have closed their doors and an educational process based on online learning has been implemented. This article presents the results of a study whose main objective was to explore the preferences of the Psychology students of the Central University “Marta Abreu” of Las Villas, in relation to the use of virtual platforms within the distance education teaching process. A quantitative research was carried out, with a descriptive cross-sectional design using a questionnaire, with a descriptive scope, in February 2021. A questionnaire was used through the free software Google Forms®. A non-probabilistic and intentional sampling was carried out. A total of 72 students completed the questionnaire. The data were processed using SPSS / Windows, version 25, using descriptive statisTic. The results showed that of the group of platforms available for the online education process, most of the students use WhatsApp, claiming that its use is frequent among study colleagues; who are familiar with how it works; and that facilitates communication. The second option of choice was personal email, and third, the Moodle platform. Knowing the preferences and motivations of students to give answers to their academic tasks, guides teachers and managers regarding the recognition of various platforms, and not only those dictated institutionally. At present, a call must be made for flexibility, for diversity of possibilities; a necessary adjustment to what the students consider motivating and attractive. En la actualidad, las universidades han cerrado sus puertas y se ha implementado un proceso educativo basado en el aprendizaje en línea. El presente artículo expone los resultados de un estudio cuyo principal objetivo fue explorar las preferencias del alumnado de Psicología de la Universidad Central “Marta Abreu” de Las Villas, en relación con el empleo de plataformas virtuales dentro del proceso docente de educación a distancia. Online learning is an important aspect of higher education today. One-third of college students take at least one course online, and almost 70% of chief academic leaders say that online learning is critical to their long-term strategy [1]. Despite the success and growth of online education, the number of courses that currently offer a hands-on laboratory component is extremely limited, resulting in the lack of an entire category of engineering courses.

We present our cloud-based software-as-a-service (SaaS) solution for educational purposes deployed within the Engineering faculity of our university. Its foundation is the open source Jupyter Notebook project with a web application providing an online environment for various programming purposes. These Jupyter Notebooks have evolved into the JupyterHub project. JupyterHub enables multi-user capabilities and allows students and researchers to have their individual Notebook environments hosted on an online platform. This paper presents our experiences with JupyterHub together with nbgrader, which allows the creation and grading of assignments. This powerful educational SaaS solution has been validated for multiple programming related courses, such as Python, C, C# and Java, throughout the past two academic years. Feedback from students and academic personnel is positive. JupyterHub is currently actively developed for deployment on the popular cloud-based Kubernetes container orchestrator platform, providing nearly infinite cloud-based scaling potential. This open source platform-as-a-service (PaaS) solution can be consumed from various public cloud providers, or it can be set up on-premise. We introduce the means to do the latter on a data center within the university.

The transition of courses based on the classic combination of lectures, calculation exercises and laboratory works to student-centred learning sessions and group assignments has been a typical transition for courses at Aalto University and elsewhere. The entirety of the course Electricity Distribution and Markets and its development over time is reviewed, covering the online content, lecture make-up, and the various parts of the assignment work, including the use of a multi-cultural group-forming algorithm, with reference to feedback from students. The methodology employed during the development of this course and in the assessments of group work and flipped classroom techniques made in this paper is trial and error, and the paper evaluates the efficacy of the various pedagogical methods that have been tried through the lens of student feedback.

The general objective of this research is to determine if the use of escape rooms improves the learning performance of postgraduate students of the International Economic Environment subject of the Master's Degree in Foreign Trade Management and Internationalization of Companies at the International University of La Rioja. For it, this research poses two questions: a) does the use of escape rooms impact the learning performance of students?; and b) do students perceive that escape rooms improve their skills? The experimental methodology was applied to this work. The data to carry out the analysis were obtained from a questionnaire designed to collect the students' perceptions about the impact of the experience and a knowledge control test to evaluate the impact of the escape room on academic performance. The results obtained show that the use of the escape room has a positive impact on the perceptions and learning results of the students.

This article reviews a virtual professional development program for STEM faculty conducted in 2020 in which, due to COVID, faculty participants had to adjust their teaching practices. The study found that the program's structure, focus, and ability to foster community helped sustain faculty members. Participants shared lessons learned through virtual workshops they led for others on their campuses.

The study aimed to determine the numerical sense skills that can be developed using participatory electronic games for fourth-grade students, used the semi-experimental approach, and the study sample consisted of (40) female students The fourth elementary school was divided into two groups, an experimental group of 20 students, who studied the skill of numerical sense through participatory electronic learning games, and a group of 20 students who studied the skill of numerical sense in the traditional learning method; Where the two groups applied to the pre / post achievement test, and the study found that the experimental group students exceeded the control group in the post test. The higher levels of the experimental group students in the post-test than their degrees in the pre-test in the achievement test, and thus the study for the effectiveness of the electronic study Participatory skill development in the numerical sense of mathematics course for female students of experimental group compared to female students of control group.

Substantial research has already examined how the COVID-19 pandemic has affected in-person schooling, but no prior work has explored its effects on cyber schools. Here, Robert Maranto, Dennis Beck, Tom Clark, Bich Tran, and Feng Liu compare the students entering a large national cyber charter school network in spring 2020, during the pandemic, with students entering in 2019 and 2018, before the pandemic. They find that the COVID cohort resembled prior groups demographically but reported greater success at their prior in-person schools and exhibited greater measured success in cyber schools.

Background/Purpose: Byju’s e-learning App is one of the most used online learning mobile applications in India. Byju’s app operations began in 2011. It is launched by two business entrepreneurs Byju Raveendran and Divya Gokulnath. The Company's head office is in Bengaluru, India. The app slogan is "Fall in love with learning.” Byju's app brings new and innovative trends in education, specifically in online education. In the beginning, the Byju e-Learning app consists of all kinds of students, all state boards in India, especially from grades first to 12th. Furthermore, the app provides unique services to graduates attempting to pass competitive tests like GATE, JEE, NEET, UPSC, and Bank Exams. The application's main segment is to provide an electronic learning platform with numerous examples to improve students' concentration. It is Indian's fastest electronics app, focused only on learning the concept by various methods and through various animated videos, more straightforward and effective, where to get the best outcome in learning mathematics and science subjects. Objective: In this paper, we analyze Byju's app's influence on students during the COVID-19 pandemic, and to know whether its subscription increased or not in the Covid 19 outbreak. This paper also analyzes how e-learning apps can focus on enhancing the experience of students and helping to improve customer focusing and subscription rate. Design/Methodology/Approach: A survey is conducted in a semi-urban area to analyze different aspects related to online education through Byju’s app during COVID 19 pandemic. In addition, analyze the information collected from the survey and from various scholarly articles and by using the SWOT analysis framework. Findings/Results: During the COVID-19 pandemic, for online education, Byju's app stands as a leading online education brand, with 85% of parents subscribed to this mobile application for their child's education. So, coronavirus crisis helped Byju’s app to become a leader in online education providers in India. Conclusion: From the conducted survey-increased subscription rate of the app was seen and noticed that customers are loyal to Byju’s App. Also, it is found that most of the students in the semi-urban area use Byju's app for their studies during the Covid 19 pandemic. COVID-19 has accelerated and scaled out remote education beyond our wildest imagination. How can we retain benefits, eliminate downsides, and build education better for the long-term future?

Purpose: The aim of this study is to assess the perception of international medical students of e-learning in China, since medical teaching during the COVID-19 pandemic had to adapt to challenges, and students had to cope with the new teaching modality, more so international students. Therefore, the opinion of students with their first contact to a fully virtual education will be helpful to modify e-teaching to better suit the students’ needs. Method: Four hundred seven medical students, in China, were recruited via social media and were asked to complete structured questionnaires, regarding technical and content aspects of their e-courses. Findings: Most issues reported were of technical nature, especially for students attending the school distantly and network instability/unavailability was frequently (52.48%). Moreover, the audio was less helpful than texts/images and the senior students were less satisfied with the technical (0.005) and content (p=0.001) aspects. They also were more critical of their teachers’ performance (p=0.042). Clinical cases and scenarios also received the lowest score. Implications for research and practice: Overall students did not feel confident with the e-learning, comfortable implementing it to patients and were reluctant to embrace it. Both technical difficulties and understanding issues impeded international students from embracing e-learning medical teaching, in China and efforts need to be made to acclimatise them to this new reality.

Creative thinking is the highest level of the kind of high order thinking. In observations at the schools in Indonesia, teachers overly equate all levels of achievement of students' creative thinking to obtain higher order thinking skill improvements in mathematics learning. This condition results in an imbalance in learning practices. Therefore, this research fills the gap of this imbalance by describing the student’s creative thinking profile as a high order thinking skill in the improvement of mathematics learning. These results can contribute knowledge to educators to manage teaching strategies that can improve mathematics learning which refers to high order thinking skill for all levels of their creative thinking. This research is qualitative descriptive research. The subject were junior high school students in Malang, Indonesia. Data collection methods are tests, observations, and interviews. Data analysis is conducted by reducing data, present data, and conclusions. These research results are descriptions of student’s creative thinking profiles as a high order thinking in mathematics learning improvement, namely students have problems planning problem solving; students take a break to make plans; identify the essence of the problem, provide original ideas, provide alternative problem-solving plans, combine previous ideas with problem questions; operate and implement their plans by creating various original solutions.

This study aims to determine whether the application of e-learning in problem-based learning can improve the problem solving abilities of FMIPA Unimed students. The approach used in this research is descriptive qualitative research by actively involving through e-learning the actors in the learning process, namely lecturers and students, as well as other related subjects. This study's design consists of three stages: (1) the development of learning tools and research instruments, (2) the testing of learning tools and research instruments, and (3) the implementation of experiments. Distance education has been acknowledged as a mechanism through which sustainable development can be achieved. The objective of the study is to develop the instrument that measures the effectiveness of distance education in inculcating sustainability among distance learners as the researchers have observed the absence of comprehensive and contextually appropriate measures for the effectiveness of distance education in nurturing sustainability. A mixed method research design was employed by following the six-phase sequential exploratory instrument development process. The quantitative validation of the instrument was done via a survey on 663 learners from the selected public universities in Malaysia. The SmartPLS 3 used by the researchers, produced a new 61-item measure of the effectiveness of distance education as regards sustainability. The findings have enabled the establishment of a comprehensive and contextually appropriate measurement tool applicable to a larger population of distance learners. It also provides an evaluation tool for practitioners in determining the effectiveness of distance education programs and courses that have led to the attainment of sustainability outcome among learners. Future studies may pursue further processes to improve the rigor and construct validation of the instrument besides uncovering other areas which are necessary to be incorporated in the scope of the measures.

In developing nations such as Ghana, traditional face-to-face (F2F) mode of education is challenged when physical classroom (academic) resources are not available for all students in a particular tertiary institution. Globally, education modes have improved through learning management systems (LMSs) as a result of technological advancements. Accra Technical University (ATU) in Ghana is currently facing the problem of turning away qualified applicants due to the fact that the academic resources in ATU are not enough to accommodate all qualified applicants. Using a quantitative research instrument (questionnaire) in accordance to the five-point Likert scale and components of the technology acceptance model (TAM) framework, this paper tackled the problem above by proposing and developing an LMS to support the education of students in ATU. Analytical results of data responses from 200 lecturers and 16 students in ATU, showed that majority of these stakeholders are willing to embrace technology and the developed LMS in ATU.

This study examines science and non-science students' perceptions of the effects of Facebook on their ESL learning. A questionnaire was used to gather data from 631 university students in Malaysia. The findings suggest the science students' more positive views of Facebook for ESL learning compared to their non-Science counterparts, although the differences in percentages between the two groups are small. The science students perceived higher confidence and motivation to read, speak, and write in English, in online and offline environment, after being exposed to Facebook. The science students also indicated a higher level of English language proficiency compared to the non-science students, which may explain their better perceived confidence and willingness to use Facebook in ESL environment. The incorporation of Facebook as a social media should therefore be seen as facilitating a variety of preferred learning styles and strategies in boosting students' learning interest, improving their language abilities, and providing them with the best academic experience.

The problem of educational potential and work potential is multifaceted. First, it is necessary to increase their rational use for sustainable development of the country. Secondly, the value components of educational potential and work potential of young people are unstable and contradictory. This fact leads to socio-cultural features and has an impact on the level of development of the social potential of modern youth. This work addresses the status roles of the unemployed, types of their employment behaviour, attitudes to education, training, retraining, self-development of unemployed youth as a specific social group. The features of value components of educational potential and work potential of the Russian unemployed youth in modern conditions are analyzed based on authors' research. The article analyzes the possibility of using various systems and technologies of training, including traditional, electronic, distance; it also reveals modern methods and techniques of training and offers a model of distance learning for young unemployed.

تعتبر استراتيجيات التعليم والتعلم من إحدي أهم رکائز العملية التعليمية بالجامعات المصرية والتي تتطلب التطوير المستمر والدراسة للوصول إلي أفضل النتائج، إلا أن ذاک التطوير قد يشغل القائمين علي العملية التعليمية والتربويين بشغل خاص، ولکن يتعين علي کل المشارکين بتطبيق نتائجه واعتباره منهاجا للوصول إلي التعليم المتميز. وتتنوع استراتيجيات التعليم والتعلم الحديثة کالتعلم التعاوني والتعلم الالکتروني والتعلم بالاکتشاف والتعلم باستخدام النماذج وغيرها، تلک الاستراتيجيات تحقق أهداف العملية التعليمية والتي تنقسم إلي الأهداف العقلانية والأهداف المهارية والأهداف الوجدانية. من هذا المنطلق يطرح البحث مفهوم التعلم باستخدام المجسمات کأداة لتحسين بيئة التعلم، ويرکز علي عرض المفهوم، ويطرح استراتيجة التعلم التعاوني کاستراتيجية مساندة للتعلم باستخدام المجسمات واللتان تندرجان تحت مفاهيم التعلم النشط، ثم يلي ذلک تطبيق مفهوم التعلم باستخدام المجسمات علي مجموعة من الطلاب بإحدي الکليات بجامعة الفيوم ومعهد المستقبل بالفيوم. وينتهج البحث دراسة نظرية يستعرض بها المفاهيم الأساسية للتعلم باستخدام المجسمات والتعلم التعاوني ثم يقوم بتحليل أربعة من ورش العمل الطلابية بالجامعات المصرية وبکلية الهندسة علي وجه الخصوص لتعليم طرق الانشاء باستخدام الجمالونات الفراغية باستخدام المجسمات البديلة، ولتعليم الانشاء وطرق تربيط الطوب في أعمال المباني باستخدام المجسمات الحقيقة، من خلال وضع أسس وأهداف التطبيق ثم عرض خطوات العمل وتقييم الورش، ثم يتم تحليل تلک الورش للوصول إلي منهجية التطبيق. ويقترح البحث تطبيق استخدام النماذج والمجسمات کاستراتيجية تعلم مقترنة بالتعلم التعاوني لتحسين العملية التعليمية وللتغلب علي الأعداد الطلابية الکبيرة، ويخلص البحث باقتراح منهجية وآلية لتطبيق التعلم باستخدام المجسمات من خلال التعلم التعاوني لامکانية تحسين بيئة التعلم. Educational and learning Strategies are considered one of the most basic pillars for the learning process in Egyptian Universities, in which they need continuous development to reach best results. Despite being the role of educationists, development requires to engage all participants in applications and to consider it the methodology for achieving high qualified distinct learning. Various Learning Strategies, such as Co-operative learning, Electronic learning, Learning by Discovery and Learning Models… etc., are being applied to achieve the main three objectives of the learning process which are the Cognitive, Psychomotor and Affective objectives. The paper aims to focus on the strategy of "The Learning Models" as a tool to improve the learning environment; it also includes "The Co-operative Learning" as a complementary strategy, both proposed to act as an integrated Active Learning strategy. The study starts with a theoretical approach presenting main concepts and determining objectives of the selected strategies. Then, it analyzes four students' workshops in Egyptian universities, especially in faculties of Engineering in order to deal with and illustrate spatial designs such as learning the structure of Space-truss through Alternative Modeling, and learning the process of Masonry bonding through Real Modeling. The analysis presents the application steps and workshops' evaluation to achieve the proposed methodology that will be applied and examined on groups of students in one of the faculties in Fayoum University and in the Future Institute in Fayoum. Finally, the study concludes that the proposed methodology could be considered as an applicable integrated method to enhance the learning process and to overcome problems due to huge numbers of students in the education process.

This study uses WhatsApp to facilitate online discussions in developing content idea for ESL writing. A quasi-experimental study was conducted with 33 pre-university students participating in online discussions on WhatsApp for five weeks to support face-to-face instructions. Pre-test, post-test, and five weekly writing tests were administered, examined, and analysed to identify the participants' writing performance. The findings show significant improvement in the experimental group's essay writing scores after using WhatsApp for online discussions. The participants were able to use the content generated from the MWEG in supporting the arguments in their essays. Besides content idea development, the experimental group saw the WhatsApp online discussions as boosting confidence, raising motivation, and encouraging interactions among students. The themes that emerged from the WhatsApp group interaction were lively discussions, sharing of opinions, and turn-taking. While the control group also improved in their test scores, it was not as significant as the experimental group.

This article describes and analyses a model of continuous learning pedagogy (CLP). Profound, ongoing societal change reflect our time and place new demands on work skills. The necessity to update skills challenges employers, employees, and ultimately the entire education system. Future pedagogical planning needs to consider:1) the goals and methods of the learning process from the adult student’s perspective;2) the learning opportunities offered by the environment based on technology and distance learning;3) the teacher’s caring, expertise-based role and ability to appreciate students’ emphasizing;4) shared leadership, working life skills, and teamwork; and5) interprofessionalism, national and international networks.

A problem that still persists in Collaborative Writing is the lack of use of relevant technology to counter lessened interaction and learning participations in developing writing skills effectively. To offset these difficulties, this study examines the use of Edmodo on students' collaborative writing. This study used a quasi-experimental study of 56 students, grade 10, Gresik, Indonesia, with two assigned classes of experimental and the control group, each containing of 28 students. The results of this study reveal that there is a significant influence of Edmodo on Collaborative writing, evidenced by the results of sig. (2-tailed) is 0,000 (lower than 0.05). Edmodo has proven to be a dependable means when merged with a Collaborative Writing strategy, and has also been attested to reassure student participation and interaction. Suggestions and further research basis are also presented, especially to innovative scholars as treasured opportunities for accompanying enquiry to pay more courtesy to the progress of Collaborative Writing which is increasingly unlocked to always re-join hearty users’ wants. In an age where everything has become more Visual and access to technology and its devices has increased significantly, there is a need to bring about a radical change in how education is imparted and delivered. Using modern age technology, we can not only save resources and time but also make learning more interactive and attractive. This research study was undertaken to ascertain which methodology of teaching works best in the modern-day scenario. Two studies were undertaken.In the first study, a test was conducted on a group of 40 students of the school who were experimented with by delivering lessons in both modern and traditional teaching methods. After analyzing the results, it was observed that the modern way of teaching is a better source of imparting knowledge as it engages the students and makes them want to learn more. In the second study, increased use of the internet and a subsequent rise in online education portals is observed, thereby proving that the modern way of teaching holds the key to a better future in the field of education.

هدفت الدراسة الحالية الى التعرف على أثر استخدام التعليم الالکتروني على التحصيل وتنمية مهارات استخدام المستحدثات التکنولوجية لدى طلاب کلية التربية الاساسية بجامعة الکويت؟، وللوصول لذلک الهدف استخدمت الباحثة في دراستها المنهج التجريبي، لملائمته لطبيعة الدراسة، بينما تکونت عينة الدراسة والتي تم اختيارها بطريقة عشوائية وقد بلغ عدد طالبات العينة (25) طالبة موزعات على مجموعتين بالتساوي، بحيث المجموعة الأولى تمثل المجموعة التجريبية، والتي درست باستخدام أسلوب التعلم الالکتروني، والثانية تمثل المجموعة الضابطة والتي درست بالطريقة التقليدية، والجدول التالي يوضح عدد أفراد عينة الدراسة في المجموعتين التجريبية، والضابطة؛ للإجابة عن أسئلة الدراسة والتحقق من فرضياتها استخدمت الباحثة بطاقة الملاحظة کأداة لجمع البيانات والاختبار لقياس التحصيل لدى الطالبات؛ بينما جاءت نتائج الدراسة حيث توجد فروق ذات دلالة إحصائية عند مستوى (a = 0.01)، بين متوسط درجات الطلاب في المجموعة التجريبية وطلاب المجموعة الضابطة في البطاقة لصالح طلاب المجموعة التجريبية؛ حيث جاء حجم التأثير لاستخدام التعلم الالکتروني کبير؛ بينما أوصت الباحثة بتوظيف أسلوب التعليم الالکتروني في تقديم المقررات الدراسية في مؤسسات التعليم العالي، وکذلک توفير البيئة الملائمة لتطبيق هذا النوع من التعليم نتيجة لما يترتب عليه من تخفيف للعبء التدريسي لأعضاء هيئة التدريس؛ وجاءت بمجموعة من المقترحات منها إجراء المزيد من البحوث حول فاعلية التعليم الالکتروني في تنمية مهارات التفکير ألابتکاري لدى الطلاب، وفاعلية التعليم الالکتروني في تنمية مهارات تصميم المواد الدراسية باستخدام برامج التصميم المختلفة، وکذلک فاعلية التعليم الالکتروني في تنمية مهارات أسلوب حل المشکلات لدى الطلاب، وأيضا فاعلية التعليم الالکتروني في تنمية مهارات صيانة الحاسوب لدى الطلاب . The current study aimed at identifying the effect of using electronic education on achievement and developing the skills of using technological innovations among students of the College of Basic Education at Kuwait University ?, and to reach this goal, the researcher used in her study the experimental method, to suit the nature of the study, while the study sample was formed, which was randomly selected. The number of female students in the sample was (25) students distributed into two groups equally, so that the first group represents the experimental group, which was studied using the electronic learning method, and the second represents the control group that studied in the traditional way, and the following table shows the number of the study sample members in the experimental and control groups. To answer the study questions and verify its hypotheses, the researcher used the observation card as a tool to collect data and test to measure the students ’achievement. While the results of the study came where there are statistically significant differences at the level of (a = 0.01), between the average scores of students in the experimental group and students of the control group in the card in favor of students of the experimental group; Where the size of the impact of using e-learning was large. While the researcher recommended employing the e-learning method in providing academic courses in higher education institutions, as well as providing the appropriate environment for the implementation of this type of education as a result of the consequent reduction in the teaching burden of faculty members. And it came with a set of proposals, including conducting more research on the effectiveness of e-learning in developing innovative thinking skills among students, the effectiveness of e-learning in developing study materials design skills using various design programs, as well as the effectiveness of e-learning in developing problem-solving style skills among students, as well as the effectiveness of E-learning in developing students' computer maintenance skills.

Globally, Covid-19 has created unparalleled challenges at all levels of education. In view of this, Umm Al-Qura University (UQU) introduced electronic learning in education as a measure to limit the pandemic’s effects. In this study, a comparative, cross-sectional approach was taken to explore the use of electronic learning as an active teaching model. The Blackboard was utilized to aid knowledge retention and transform pharmacological knowledge from theoretical to practical knowledge. The study was conducted between January 2020 and April 2021 with 415 pharmacy students. Students felt that content saturation and traditional lectures were critical obstacles for active teaching. Meanwhile, integrated active intellectual teaching methods, including flipped classrooms and practical video simulations, facilitated students’ engagement. As contemporary teaching methods are required in modern education, UQU has sought to empower excellence in education and transform the teaching of pharmacology during the pandemic.

The demand for small bowel (SB) capsule endoscopy (CE) is increasing in the UK. However, there remains a wide variation in the number of CE procedures performed in different centres. Across the UK there is a lack of a clear training pathway or certification process. A standardised national Joint Advisory Group (JAG) on Gastrointestinal Endoscopy approved a 1-year training and accreditation programme accessible to all professional groups that may wish to train in SB CE. Structured training is delivered using JAG-accredited CE courses and an electronic learning module. Prior to setting a knowledge-based assessment, a minimum of 50 SB CE cases are recommended to be read in tandem with a trainer at a local centre, with proficiency documented using Direct Observation of Procedural Skill (DOPS) assessments.

The massive technological revolution of communication and information imposes a need to adopt new strategies based on methodological foundations that are compatible with contemporary technologies, where the use of technology in economy has become an urgent necessity, since traditional economy is no longer suitable for the new generation. The purpose of the research was to answer the following question: what is the effect of the e-learning strategy on the quality of educational services of technical institutes in Iraq? In order to conduct the research, the author applied the descriptive analytical method. The relevant data were obtained from 60 students of the accounting department of Kut Technical Institute. The variables studied are the department management quality, the professor quality and the curriculum quality. The author of the research has made a number of conclusions, including the proof of the presence of a statistically significant effect of e-learning on the quality of educational services. The research stresses the need to raise awareness of the importance of e-learning among students and its positive impact on achieving the quality of services in education.

Project-based learning (PBL) is considered an engaging and promising pedagogy across diverse disciplines and student populations in the United States in the digital age. Research on PBL in online environments and in the field of art has, however, been limited. Thus, the purpose of the current study was to examine the theoretical grounds of PBL and analyze its pedagogical features and application. Of specific interest is Krajcik and Shin’s (2014) PBL model, which includes six pedagogical features: asking driving questions, emphasizing learning goals, fostering authentic practice, enhancing collaboration, learning with technology, and creating artifacts. An account of a qualitative descriptive pilot study conducted in an undergraduate online art course further explicates the application of this PBL model. The pilot study accentuates ways to create an online PBL art classroom and illustrates students performing PBL through their arts-based research projects. Reflection on pedagogical recommendations and the challenges of implementing PBL in the online art classroom concludes the study.
