Abstract: Alzheimer’s disease (AD) is considered the most frequent neurodegenerative disorder worldwide, compromising cognitive function in patients, with an average incidence of 1-3% in the open population. Protein aggregation into amyloidogenic plaques and neurofibrillary tangles, as well as neurodegeneration in the hippocampal and cortical areas, represent the neuropathological hallmarks of this disorder. Mechanisms involved in neurodegeneration include protein misfolding, augmented apoptosis, disrupted molecular signaling pathways and axonal transport, oxidative stress, inflammation, and mitochondrial dysfunction, among others. It is precisely through a disrupted energy metabolism that neural cells trigger toxic mechanisms leading to cell death. In this regard, the study of mitochondrial dynamics constitutes a relevant topic to decipher the role of mitochondrial dysfunction in neurological disorders, especially when considering that amyloid-beta peptides can target mitochondria. Specifically, the amyloid beta (Aβ) peptide, known to accumulate in the brain of AD patients, has been shown to disrupt overall mitochondrial metabolism by impairing energy production, mitochondrial redox activity, and calcium homeostasis, thus highlighting its key role in the AD pathogenesis. In this work, we review and discuss recent evidence supporting the concept that mitochondrial dysfunction mediated by amyloid peptides contributes to the development of AD.

Las aguas minero-medicinales de la provincia de Melgar de la región de Puno en Perú, se encuentran ubicadas a gran altitud, con utilidad medicinal y/o de recreación, por lo que es necesario conocer sus características, en tal sentido el estudio tuvo el propósito de identificar las características hidrogeoquímicas de las aguas minero medicinales de la provincia de Melgar, Puno en Perú. Para el estudio se ha recolectado información de los parámetros físicos y químicos de los pozos minero medicinales de la provincia de Melgar, Puno. Se aplicó la técnica de los diagramas de Piper con la finalidad de caracterizar los tipos de agua minero medicinales. Los resultados indicaron que, el catión predominante en las pozas de Pasanoccollo; Santa Rosa; Huamanruro; Andaymarca y Pojcpoquella, fue el ión Na+, con 84,33%; 56,35%; 50,60%; 64.16% y 73.97% de presencia, respectivamente, mientras que, en la poza de Macarí el catión que más predominó es el Ca2+ con 42.54 %. Con respecto a los aniones el SO_4^(2-) y el Cl- son los aniones que predominaron. El Cl- fue el anión predominante en las pozas de Santa Rosa; Huamanruro; Macarí; Andaymarca y Pojcpoquella con 74.43 %; 67.22 %; 58.57 %; 58.34 % y 70.79 % de presencia, respectivamente, mientras que en la poza de Pasanoccollo el anión que predominó es el SO_4^(2-) con un 58.37 %, de estos resultados se llega a la conclusión que las pozas se encuentran en un marco estratigráfico y estructural de las aguas minero medicinales, está formado por areniscas rojas y rocas conglomeradas.

The history of Colombian neurosurgery is a collective legacy of neurosurgeon-scientists, scholars, teachers, innovators, and researchers. Anchored in the country’s foundational values of self-determination and adaptability, these pioneers emerged from the Spanish colonial medical tradition and forged surgical alliances abroad. From the time of Colombian independence until the end of World War I, exchanges with the French medical tradition produced an emphasis on anatomical and systematic approaches to the emerging field of neurosurgery. The onset of American neurosurgical expertise in the 1930s led to a new period of exchange, wherein technological innovations were added to the Colombian neurosurgical repertoire. This diversity of influences culminated in the 1950s with the establishment of Colombia’s first in-country neurosurgery residency program. A select group of avant-garde neurosurgeons from this period expanded the domestic opportunities for patients and practitioners alike. Today, the system counts 10 recognized neurosurgery residency programs and over 500 neurosurgeons within Colombia. Although the successes of specific individuals and innovations were considered, the primary purpose of this historical survey was to glean relevant lessons from the past that can inform present challenges, inspire new opportunities, and identify professional and societal goals for the future of neurosurgical practice and specialization.

La educación inclusiva por muchos años ha tenido como objetivo garantizar la participación sin discriminación hacia sus estudiantes, por la cual se debe fortalecer a la comunidad educativa, así como a los docentes donde deben fortalecer sus habilidades para que enseñen e incluyan a todos los estudiantes sin distinción. El objetivo del estudio fue determinar la relación sobre la percepción de los docentes en la educación inclusiva. El estudio tuvo un enfoque cuantitativo, de diseño no experimental, tipo transversal para determinar la relación entre las variables, donde la técnica empleada fue una encuesta, donde las aplicaciones de los cuestionarios se consideraron a 230 docentes. Los resultados evidencian que la variable percepción del docente y la variable cultura inclusiva tienen Rho de 0,277**., el cual permite inferir la existencia de una relación significativa. Se concluye que la percepción de los docentes en la educación inclusiva mantiene una relación, el cual necesita ser vinculada con la formación de competencias en los docentes.

The ability of the high-temperature polymorph of tricalcium phosphate, a-TCP, to hydrolyse to calcium-deficient hydroxyapatite underlies many developments in the field of synthetic bone grafts, including calcium phosphate cements, foams, and self-setting inks. The objective of the present work was to investigate the effect of humidity on a-TCP powder reactivity. The results showed that a 3-week incubation at high relative humidity (80%) had no impact on reactivity, but, as the incubation was prolonged, the powder started to hydrolyse. This reactivity was associated to the presence of defects and to an amorphous phase induced during powder milling. Moisture studies performed under static/dynamic conditions gave comparable water adsorption percentages. The dynamic studies further proved irreversible water sorption, indicating that some water molecules reacted with the powder after short incubation times. Taken together, these results demonstrate that, although a-TCP powder adsorbs water from moisture immediately, the impact on reactivity appears only after several weeks of storage.

Detecting heavy metals in water is necessary to ensure its safety. However, current detection methods require costly equipment, making heavy metal monitoring challenging. Colorimetric detection of heavy metals using silver nanoparticles (AgNPs) relies on the optical spectra changes when it detects an analyte. We have previously shown that a colorimetric assay comprised of humic acid - functionalized AgNPs (HA-AgNPs) can selectively detect copper ions in water. Here, we investigated the effect of humic acid concentration on the stability of HA-AgNPs and their ability to detect copper. HA acts as a capping agent around the AgNPs, making them stable even for up to 48 days of storage in both ambient and cold storage environments. At critical HA concentrations of 5 mg L-1 and beyond, the changes in the optical properties of the HA-AgNPs are linearly dependent on Cu (II) concentration. Below this critical HA concentration, Cu (II) sensing is futile. The most stable HA-AgNPs is at HA = 25 mg L-1 based on zeta potential measurements, while the best assay for colorimetric copper (II) detection is at HA = 50 mg L-1, giving the lowest detection limit of 4.35 mg L-1 and R2 = 0.999 within a dynamic linear range of 0.00 to 1.25 mM Cu (II). We have shown that the ligand concentration is critical for achieving stable AgNP assays for heavy metal detection.

Los análisis comparativos curriculares de los modelos pedagógicos como el tradicionalista, tecnológico, crítico socio político y constructivista socio político permiten conocer cuáles son las perspectivas de índole pedagógico, epistemológico y filosófico que aporta cada uno de los paradigmas junto a sus respectivos representantes e ideadores. Mediante un diseño metodológico cualitativo, se procede a realizar un análisis comparativo de sus características, semejanzas y diferencias para poder observar sus propuestas y su incidencia en el marco pedagógico y reflexivo del hacer educacional. Los resultados comparados permitirán guiar el proceso de conocimiento de cada modelo y su interpretación específica.

The high levels of biodiversity supported by mountains suggest a possible link between geologic processes and biological evolution. Freshwater biodiversity is high not only in tectonically active settings but also in tectonically quiescent montane regions such as the Appalachian Mountains. We show that erosion through different rock types drove allopatric divergence between lineages of the Greenfin Darter ( Nothonotus chlorobranchius ), a fish species endemic to rivers draining metamorphic rocks in the Tennessee River basin in the United States. In the past, metamorphic rock preferred by N. chlorobranchius was more widespread, but as erosion exposed other rock types, lineages of this species were progressively isolated in tributaries farther upstream, where metamorphic rock remained. Our results suggest a geologic mechanism for initiating allopatric diversification in mountains long after tectonic activity ceases.

La investigación tiene como objetivo establecer una metodología para el desarrollo de los intereses lingüístico-literarios en estudiantes de las universidades ecuatorianas a partir de un sistema de ideas que relacionan la participación activa, creativa y protagónica de los estudiantes con su desarrollo personal y profesional. La significación social está en que se aborda la estimulación de los intereses lingüístico literarios sustentado en las regularidades de la creatividad como valor revelador dentro del marco del grupo docente y su trascendencia a la sociedad para lograr la formación integral de sus ciudadanos con una formación profesional a la altura de los retos actuales y reconociendo la literatura como una manifestación artística. La efectividad se corrobora en su aplicación práctica en el grupo tomado como muestra, lo que alude su introducción en las diferentes carreras universitarias. En el análisis realizado sobre la aplicación de la metodología se determinó que en los estudiantes el nivel alcanzado es alto y que su utilización, contribuye al propósito declarado como objetivo.

This article suggests that in the investigation of World Englishes, which has tended to focus on syntactic, phonological and lexical preferences, the analysis of shifts in word meanings (and meaning–form relations in lexical items) needs to be incorporated. Exemplary small-scale studies show that in polysemic words certain varieties come to prefer specific meanings, and in word fields some varieties begin to prefer certain forms over others. Based on analyses of different ICE corpora, a set of prospective verbs, their meaning relationships and their varying correlations with syntactic construction choices in different varieties are investigated quantitatively (using HCFA and conditional inference trees) and qualitatively (showcasing interesting innovative, possibly emerging uses in some countries). Regionality is consistently shown to be a weakly conditioning significant factor. Thus, it is suggested that lexicosemantic variability and diffusion in the evolution of World Englishes deserve and need to be investigated systematically.

In this study, we compared the sensitivities of a newly designed OSL system with two commercial systems, performing OSL readouts of Al2O3:C irradiated with doses ranging from mGy to a few Gy. It is our first prototype, and we used a cluster of three blue LEDs (5 W each and approximately wavelength 450 nm) for the optical stimulation in the modes continuous wave (CW-OSL) and pulsed (POSL). The detection window used a bandpass filter, allowing the detection of OSL signal with a wavelength shorter than 360 nm. For detection, we have a photodetector module with a photomultiplier tube. We compared the readouts with commercial readers, respecting each reader’s different characteristics, which present different wavelengths for optical stimuli (blue and green, respectively) in CW-OSL and POSL modes. The obtained results concluded that the developed reader could be applied for OSL readouts of detectors exposed to a few hundred of mGy in POSL mode and high doses (up to a few Gy) in CW-OSL mode.

La lectura contextual de la Biblia (LCB) es una forma comunitaria de interpretar textos bíblicos desde una realidad particular que se busca cambiar. Esta manera de leer los textos y los contextos promueve la justicia a través del empoderamiento de grupos marginados que transforman la realidad mediante sus propias capacidades. El artículo, que pone en evidencia la dimensión social de la hermenéutica bíblica y su necesario recurso a la interdisciplinaridad, muestra algunos aspectos de la interpretación del capítulo 19 del Libro de los Jueces, en el marco de un proyecto de investigación acción participativa, hecha por dos grupos de mujeres colombianas en condición de vulnerabilidad. El relato, en el cual la concubina de un levita es violada y descuartizada, refleja diferentes aspectos de la realidad experimentada por las lectoras del texto, cuya interpretación les permite darse cuenta de las posibilidades que tienen para transformar sus contextos particulares.

BackgroundObservational studies indicate a relationship between vitamin D (25-hydroxyvitamin D; 25OHD) deficiency and the development of internalising disorders, especially depression. However, causal inference approaches (e.g. Mendelian randomisation) did not confirm this relationship. Findings from biobehavioural research suggests that new insights are revealed when focusing on psychopathological dimensions rather than on clinical diagnoses. This study provides further evidence on the relationship between 25OHD and the internalising dimension.AimsThis investigation aimed at examining the causality between 25OHD and internalising disorders including a common internalising factor.MethodWe performed a two-sample Mendelian randomisation using genome-wide association study (GWAS) summary data for 25OHD (417 580 participants), major depressive disorder (45 591 cases; 97 674 controls), anxiety (5580 cases; 11 730 controls), post-traumatic stress disorder (12 080 cases; 33 446 controls), panic disorder (2248 cases; 7992 controls), obsessive–compulsive disorder (2688 cases; 7037 controls) and anorexia nervosa (16 992 cases; 55 525 controls). GWAS results of the internalising phenotypes were combined to a common factor representing the internalising dimension. We performed several complementary analyses to reduce the risk of pleiotropy and used a second 25OHD GWAS for replication.ResultsWe found no causal relationship between 25OHD and any of the internalising phenotypes studied, nor with the common internalising factor. Several pleiotropy-robust methods corroborated the null association.ConclusionsFollowing current transdiagnostic approaches to investigate mental disorders, our results focused on the shared genetic basis between different internalising phenotypes and provide no evidence for an effect of 25OHD on the internalising dimension.

Lung cancer relatively common in Peru. PET/CT is a useful tool in the staging and follow-up of the treatment of lung tumors. There is currently enough evidence to affirm that this technology helps in adjusting treatment and increasing the survival rate of the patients. A descriptive review of the relevant articles recently published on the subject was carried out. It is concluded that PET/CT is useful in the staging and follow-up of the proposed treatment for patients with non-small cell lung cancer. This malignant tumor is also often discovered and diagnosed at an advanced stage.

Actualmente la inversión en energías de renovables como la eólica, geotérmica o la solar fotovoltaica se presenta como el camino más confiable para la transición energética a fuentes energéticas de bajo impacto ambiental. Si bien los grandes parques eólicos y solares de generación han dado resultados favorables existen aún muchas áreas de oportunidad para mejorar el rendimiento de generación y minimizar aún más el impacto medioambiental, como es el caso de los sistemas híbridos de generación de energía. El objetivo de este trabajo fue elaborar el prototipo de un sistema híbrido de energía, eólica y fotovoltaica; que nos permita generar energía eléctrica mediante la utilización de energía fuentes renovables como materia prima y de manera más sustentable al reducir emisiones comparada con fuentes de generación tradicionales. Partiendo desde un dimensionamiento previo de las variables climáticas, el diseño del sistema, el armado y las pruebas de funcionamiento de un prototipo que en una misma estructura, contiene un módulo fotovoltaico, un rotor eólico tipo Savonius, un panel de control y sus respectivas unidades de almacenamiento (para este caso de generación fuera de la red local), en donde podemos esperar un menor desgaste en la saturación de la red eléctrica debido a que, al ser sistema híbrido, se utilizan múltiples fuentes, por lo que, si se llega a presentar intermitencia, no se pierde por completo la generación de energía.

El presente texto expositivo y argumentativo tiene como objetivo analizar y reflexionar los diferentes elementos teóricos que sustentan el Perfil del docente de Educación Física, una mirada desde la complejidad del siglo XXI. Sin duda alguna, esta revisión es necesaria en virtud que en los últimos años ha venido emergiendo diferentes producciones teóricas que han enriquecido la epistemología de esta importante área del conocimiento, destacando además, que esta disciplina pedagógica juega un rol fundamental en la formación integral de los estudiantes de cualquier modalidad educativa. En este sentido, hoy día la revisión teórica sobre estos elementos que han emergido es de suma importancia, ya que esto va a permitir actualizar y transformar no solo los diseños curriculares, sino el perfil profesional con el que van a egresar los futuros docentes de Educación Física. Por ello, este análisis y reflexión presentado en este texto expositivo va a contribuir en la visualización de cómo debe ser la formación de un docente de Educación Física, el cual debe estar en correspondencia con la realidad y proyecto de país.

In the present investigation, a study of the drying kinetics of lateritic mineral samples is carried out and the adjustment of the theoretical models exposed in the specialized literature with the data obtained during the experimentation is evaluated. The variation of humidity, drying speed, and drying time for temperatures between 100 ºC and 500ºC were analyzed. In addition, for each of the temperatures studied, the adjustment constants of the theoretical models were determined. From the comparison of the theoretical models, it is established that the Modified Page model is more adjusted to the behavior obtained from the lateritic mineral. From the analysis of the drying curves, it is concluded that the lateritic mineral has a non-hygroscopic behavior.

RESUMO: Esta pesquisa teve como objetivo avaliar o efeito da adição dos pigmentos inorgânicos nas cores vermelha, amarela e verde em blocos destinados à construção modular. Os blocos foram fabricados com o traço 1:5 (cimento: agregados totais), em massa, utilizando como agregados areia artificial, fíler e micro fíler; todos, subprodutos de britagem. Foram incorporados 0% (traço de referência), 5%, 10% e 15% dos pigmentos em relação à massa do cimento e em substituição parcial ao fíler. Para a confecção dos blocos, utilizou-se uma prensa hidráulica com capacidade de prensagem de 8,0 tf. Foram determinadas as densidades dos blocos e realizados os ensaios de absorção total de água e de resistência à compressão. Além disso, com o fim de analisar os efeitos dos pigmentos sobre a porosidade dos blocos, foram realizados ensaios de Microscopia Eletrônica de Varredura (MEV), que indicaram uma microestrutura mais densa para os blocos que apresentaram menor absorção total de água. Verificou-se ainda que o efeito da adição dos pigmentos varia conforme o formato dos grãos e porcentagem de pigmento. Os blocos que tiveram melhores desempenhos mecânicos foram os com 5% de pigmento amarelo, 10% e 15% de pigmento verde e 15% de pigmento vermelho, todos estes com desempenhos superiores ao desempenho dos blocos de referência, sem pigmento. ABSTRACT: This research aimed to evaluate the effect of the addition of inorganic pigments in red, yellow, and green colors in blocks intended for modular construction. The blocks were manufactured with the mix 1:5 (cement: total aggregates), in mass, using artificial sand, filler and micro filler as aggregates; all crushing by-products. Reference mix (0%) and 5%, 10% and 15% of the pigments were incorporated in relation to the cement mass and in partial replacement of the filler. To make the blocks, a hydraulic press with a pressing capacity of 8.0 ton was used. Block densities were determined, and total water absorption and compressive strength tests were performed. Furthermore, to analyze the effects of pigments on the porosity of the blocks, Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM) tests were carried out, which indicated a denser microstructure for the blocks that showed lower total water absorption. It was also found that the effect of adding pigments varies according to the shape of the grains and the percentage of pigment. The blocks that had the best mechanical performance were those with 5% of yellow pigment, 10% and 15% of green pigment and 15% of red pigment, all of which performed better than the reference blocks without pigment.

RESUMO: Embora possuam alta resistência mecânica, as estruturas de concreto armado estão sujeitas a falhas que podem reduzir sua durabilidade e/ou inviabilizar o seu uso, seja por mudanças de utilização ou erros executivos. Assim, foram desenvolvidos ao longo dos anos variados materiais e métodos de reparos e reforços estruturais eficientes para tal finalidade. Logo, este estudo tem como objetivo demonstrar o desenvolvimento do estado da arte, evidenciando a relevância do assunto na atualidade identificando lacunas de conhecimento e apresentando como se deu o desenvolvimento do tema ao longo dos anos. Para tanto, foi realizado um mapeamento literário sobre o tema. Elaborou-se uma string de busca para filtrar artigos relacionados ao assunto no portal de periódicos da CAPES, sendo selecionados artigos de periódicos para análise. Foi realizada uma análise bibliométrica e qualitativa de modo a servir como parâmetro para pesquisadores no aprofundamento de estudos na linha de materiais para reforços de estruturas de concreto. Concluiu-se que dentre os vários materiais promissores para o uso em reforço de estruturas de concreto, nota-se a relevância dos Polímeros Reforçados com Fibras (PRF) e os compósitos cimentícios. Ambos se destacaram no mapeamento literário como os grupos com mais artigos publicados, predominando no meio científico e, portanto, com maior potencial de aplicabilidade no mercado. ABSTRACT: Although they have high mechanical resistance, reinforced concrete structures are subject to failures that can reduce their durability or make their use unfeasible, either due to changes in use or executive errors. Thus, over the years, various materials and methods of repairs and efficient structural strengthening have been developed for this purpose. This study aims to demonstrate the development of the state of the art, highlighting the relevance of the topic in the present, identifying knowledge gaps and presenting how the theme has developed over the years. For that, a literary mapping on the subject was carried out. A search string was elaborated to filter articles related to the subject in the CAPES journal portal, and journal articles were selected for analysis. A bibliometric and qualitative analysis was carried out, to serve as a parameter for researchers, in the deepening of studies in the line of materials for strengthening of reinforced concrete structures. It was concluded that, among the various promising materials for use in strengthening reinforced concrete structures, the relevance of Fiber Reinforced Polymers (FRP) and cementitious composites can be noted. Both stood out in the literary mapping as the groups with the most published articles, predominating in the scientific environment and, therefore, with greater potential for applicability in the market.

Conocer la respuesta del organismo al realizar ejercicio de tipo aeróbico de intensidad baja, es importante para conocer los cambios generados en el peso. Este estudio tiene por objetivo conocer la deshidratación y cómo se modifica el peso al término de la actividad física, relacionándolo con los valores de la tensión arterial y a su estado de nutrición, indicando la cantidad de líquido perdido por participante. El estudio es cuantitativo, transversal, descriptivo y experimental, buscando evaluar la pérdida de líquido a partir de 1 hora de ejercicio aeróbico de baja intensidad, sin ingerir líquido y sin parar . Se tomó el peso, talla y presión arterial de los sujetos al inicio, al finalizar la hora de ejercicio, se tomó nuevamente el peso. En los resultados obtenidos se encontró que el total de peso perdido fue mayor en los hombres (0.77±0.30) que en las mujeres (0.35±0.31), la perdida de líquido de acuerdo al estado de nutrición por el IMC, fue mayor (24.1 kg) en las personas con un IMC normal (18.5-24.9 IMC) y en personas con sobrepeso (25-29.9 IMC) y una correlación positiva en hombres y mujeres en las variables de tensión arterial y el estado de nutrición por la variable del IMC (p

Health and religion are strongly connected. This study aims primarily to compile the diseases described in the Bible and Quran with a secondary aim to group the diseases in punishment or blessing. Diseases mentioned in the Bible and Quran were compiled by manual review and grouped as punishment if imposed by the deity as penance; blessing if cured by grace or neutral. The results show difference among the books in the distribution of the diseases as associated to punishment (more prevalent in the first testament), blessing (more prevalent in the second testament) or neutral (more prevalent in the Quran).

Introduction. Mortality rate amongst critically ill patients admitted to the intensive care unit (ICU) is disproportionately high in sub-Saharan African countries such as Cameroon. Identifying factors associated with higher in-ICU mortality guides more aggressive resuscitative measures to curb mortality, but the dearth of data on predictors of in-ICU mortality precludes this action. We aimed to determine predictors of in-ICU mortality in a major referral ICU in Cameroon. Methodology. This was a retrospective cohort study of all patients admitted to the ICU of Douala Laquintinie Hospital from 1st of March 2021 to 28th February 2022. We performed a multivariable analysis of sociodemographic, vital signs on admission, and other clinical and laboratory variables of patients discharged alive and dead from the ICU to control for confounding factors. Significance level was set at p < 0.05 . Results. Overall, the in-ICU mortality rate was 59.4% out of 662 ICU admissions. Factors independently associated with in-ICU mortality were deep coma (aOR = 0.48 (0.23–0.96), 95% CI, p = 0.043 ), and hypernatremia (>145 meq/L) (aOR = 0.39 (0.17–0.84) 95% CI, p = 0.022 ). Conclusion. The in-ICU mortality rate in this major referral Cameroonian ICU is high. Six in 10 patients admitted to the ICU die. Patients were more likely to die if admitted with deep coma and high sodium levels in the blood.

La disciplina positiva es un enfoque educativo que se centra en la enseñanza de habilidades sociales y emocionales, así como en la construcción de relaciones saludables entre el educando y el docente. Se enfoca en fomentar la responsabilidad y la autorregulación en los estudiantes a través de la enseñanza de habilidades sociales y emocionales. Por lo tanto, permite la creación de un ambiente escolar positivo y respetuoso entre compañeros. El objetivo del estudio es establecer la relación de la disciplina positiva con el rendimiento académico de los educandos en las diferentes instituciones educativas. En base al marco metodológico es un estudio con enfoque cuantitativo con diseño pre-experimental; para la recolección de datos se utilizó como técnica la encuesta y como instrumento el cuestionario; de igual forma, para procesar los datos recolectados se utilizó el software Microsoft Excel e IBM SPSS Statistics. Los hallazgos encontrados en la presente investigación dieron como resultado que el impacto de la disciplina positiva de los estudiantes en relación al rendimiento académico tiene un efecto significativo. Algunos estudios han encontrado que los estudiantes que reciben una educación basada en la disciplina positiva tienen mejores resultados educativos en los procesos áulicos que aquellos que no la reciben.

La implementación de las estrategias pedagógicas en los procesos áulicos tiene una influencia positiva en el desarrollo socioemocional de los estudiantes, ya que les permite desarrollar habilidades que les serán útiles a lo largo de su vida, tanto en el ámbito personal como en el profesional. Además, al fomentar un ambiente de respeto, colaboración y empatía en el aula, se contribuye a crear un clima escolar más positivo y propicio para el aprendizaje. El objetivo del estudio es establecer la influencia de las estrategias pedagógicas en el desarrollo socioemocional de los educandos en las diferentes instituciones educativas. En relación al marco metodológico es un estudio con enfoque cuantitativo con diseño pre-experimental; para la recolección de datos se utilizó como técnica la encuesta y como instrumento al cuestionario; de igual forma, para procesar los datos se utilizó el software IBM SPSS Statistics. Los hallazgos encontrados dieron como resultado que la implementación de las estrategias pedagógicas fomentó el aprendizaje cooperativo entre los educandos permitiéndoles trabajar en equipos para alcanzar una meta común, donde los estudiantes aprenden a trabajar colaborativamente, a comunicarse y a respetar las opiniones de sus compañeros, lo que contribuye a desarrollar habilidades socioemocionales como la empatía y la colaboración.

Introduction: Split-thickness skin grafting is generally used for temporary or permanent coverage of cutaneous defects, including traumatic wounds; they are suitable for large areas of skin loss, granulating tissue beds, tissue loss across joints in areas where contraction will cause deformity, and where epithelialization alone will produce an unstable wound coverage. Objective: Describe graft size, wound location, associated complications, and hospitalization costs in patients who underwent split-thickness skin grafting for traumatic wounds Materials and Methods: retrospective, observational study conducted at Luis Vernaza Hospital during 2022. Data was obtained from the electronic medical records of the patients and organized using Microsoft Excel ®, later they were analyzed using SPSS 25.0 ®. A descriptive report of the clinical-demographic characteristics was made. The qualitative variables were described through frequencies and percentages. Results: 130 patients were included, 25.38% were female and 74.72% male. Most frequent age group was < 40 years (n = 73; 56.15%), most wounds presented in the lower extremities (n = 115; 88.46%) and were mostly caused by road traffic accidents (n = 72; 55.38%). In 86.15% of patients 100% of the grafts were integrated in less than 7 days. Total hospitalization costs averaged $1181.77, including the surgical procedure; maximum length-of-stay was 30 days with an average hospitalization cost of $3183.67. Comorbidities included type 2 diabetes mellitus and hypoproteinemia (40.59%). Complications included infection (22.77%), hematoma (0.99%) and one patient had a total graft loss. Conclusions: split-thickness skin grafting represents a reliable procedure for coverage of many cutaneous injuries, including traumatic wounds, with an acceptable success rate. Por más de tres décadas, las tareas han sido utilizadas para enseñar y aprender la lengua debido a que promueven procesos cognitivos necesarios para el desarrollo lingüístico. Sin embargo, la implementación de las tareas ha estado rodeada de controversia motivada por limitaciones cognitivas y prácticas que atañen su efectividad. En relación a esto, se llevó a cabo un estudio con el objetivo de explorar los efectos de una tarea narrativa en el desempeño oral de estudiantes universitarios a través de tres dimensiones de la lengua: complejidad, precisión y fluidez. También, con la ayuda de entrevistas, se examinaron sus percepciones sobre esta tarea y su desempeño oral. Los resultados muestran que las características de esta tarea motivan a los estudiantes a construir estructuras orales más complejas, pero a expensas de la fluidez y precisión. Además, al explorar sus percepciones, los resultados sugieren que la falta de familiaridad con esta tarea los lleva a percibirla como una tarea difícil, con una exigencia elevada de habilidades orales y a su vez complejidad para lograr el objetivo de la tarea. Este artículo proporciona algunas implicaciones pedagógicas que los maestros de lengua deben de tomar en consideración al usar tareas para practicar y evaluar la lengua.

A utilização de um protocolo fisioterapêutico na reabilitação do ligamento cruzado anterior (LCA) é recurso importante na recuperação da lesão. Variados são os recursos utilizados para essa finalidade. O presente estudo, intitulado O papel da fisioterapia na recuperação de pacientes com lesão no ligamento cruzado anterior, propõe-se a analisar a atuação do profissional de fisioterapia frente a um processo de recuperação de lesão de LCA, com o escopo de propiciar o debate e fomentar a imprescindibilidade do conhecimento em favor do bem-estar do paciente. Para tanto, esta pesquisa fundamenta-se em revisão integrativa de bibliografia, em função da qual foram analisadas dez publicações, delas extraindo-se características dos protocolos utilizados e respectivos resultados. Para inclusão dos textos apreciados, optou-se por trabalhos escritos em português nos últimos dez anos, excluindo-se os elaborados sob forma de revisão. As publicações analisadas conduzem à ratificação da relevância do aporte fisioterapêutico na recuperação de pacientes com lesão de LCA, em vista da evolução positiva de suas condições e retorno às suas atividades funcionais.

The genus Vismia producing exudates of secretory structures present in botanical parts such as stems, fruits and roots, presenting a wide variety of secondary metabolites of both chemical and biological complexity. The objective is evaluate the antioxidant capacity of the species, in addition to isolating substances from fractions of the fruit extract. The antioxidant capacity of crude fruit extracts of Vismia cayennensis was assessed by DPPH and their content of total phenolic compounds was quantified. structures were determined by spectroscopy, including NMR, and compared to literature data. The extracts exhibited antioxidant activity against the radical under investigation, especially the hexane (EHVcFr) and dichloromethane (EDVcFr). The EDVcFr extract also exhibited the highest content of total phenolic compounds. The extract with average polarity EDVcFr, was selected for chromatographic analysis, resulting in the isolation of the triterpene friedelin and three prenylated anthranoids: harunganol B, vismin, and ferruginine A. This is the first account of isolation of harunganol B in the genus Vismia. Therefore, the species V. cayennensis can be another promising source of phytoantioxidants for future to fight free radicals.

Purpose The economic cost linked to the increasing number of proximal femur fracture and their postoperative care is immense. Mortality rates are high. As early surgery is propagated to lower mortality and reduce complication rates, a 24-h target for surgery is requested. It was our aim to determine the cut-off for the time to surgery from admission and therefore establish a threshold at which the in-house mortality rate changes. Methods A retrospective single-center cohort study was conducted including 1796 patients with an average age of 82.03 years treated operatively for a proximal femoral fracture between January 2016 and June 2020. A single treatment protocol was performed based on the type of anticoagulant, surgery, and renal function. Patient data, surgical procedure, time to surgery, complications, and mortality were assessed. Results In-house mortality rate was 3.95%, and the overall complication rate was 22.7%. A prolonged length of hospital stay was linked to patient age and occurrence of complications. Mortality is influenced by age, number of comorbidities BMI, and postoperative complications of which the most relevant is pneumonia. The mean time to surgery for the entire cohort was 26.4 h. The investigation showed no significant difference in mortality rate among the two groups treated within 24 h and 24 to 48 h while comparing all patients treated within 48 h and after 48 h revealed a significant difference in mortality. Conclusions Age and number of comorbidities significantly influence mortality rates. Time to surgery is not the main factor influencing outcome after proximal femur fractures, and mortality rates do not differ for surgery up to 48 h after admission. Our data suggest that a 24-h target is not necessary, and the first 48 h may be used for optimizing preoperative patient status if necessary.

Tujuan dari penelitian yang peneliti lakukan yaitu merancang aplikasi jasa kuli bangunan berbasiskan android platform di Sulawesi Utara. Penelitian ini dilakukan oleh karena melihat dampak dari pandemic virus korona (COVID19) yang telah membuat banyak orang kehilangan pekerjaan dan seiring berkembangnya zaman, sudah banyak orang-orang yang mencari pekerjaan ataupun menawarkan perkerjaan lewat media internet. Penelitian ini akan mempertemukan pihak yang membutuhkan orang untuk bekerja dan orang yang membutuhkan pekerjaan. Konsep ini didasarkan pada aplikasi-aplikasi e-commerce yang memperjual-belikan barang, tetapi yang menjadi perbedaan adalah aplikasi ini memperjual-belikan jasa. Jasa adalah suatu tindakan yang tidak kasat mata namun hasilnya dapat dilihat. Penelitian ini akan fokus dalam jasa kuli bangunan, tukang kayu, dan tukang kitchen set. Dimana jasa kuli bangunan akan membuat bangunan ataupun merenovasi bangunan, jasa tukang kayu akan membuat produk-produk dari kayu (meja, lemari, kursi), dan jasa kitchen set akan membuat kitchen set. Dalam pembuatan aplikasi ini akan menggunakan metode ‘throw-away prototyping’, dimana peneliti akan membuat suatu prototype sesuai kebutuhan pengguna agar pengguna bisa mendapat gambaran dari aplikasi, kemudian mengimplementasikannya menjadi aplikasi. Jadi, kesimpulannya pembuatan aplikasi ini ditujukan untuk memudahkan masyarakat dalam mencari pekerja dan pekerjaan yang berkaitan dengan bangunan. Dalam penelitian ini, peneliti telah membuat aplikasi dan mengimplementasikan rancangan yang ada sehingga dapat menghasilkan aplikasi yang operasional dan sesuai dengan kebutuhan dari pengguna.

Este documento presenta una aproximación analítica a la relación del sistema de monedas digitales (criptomonedas) y la economía digital en el Ecuador. Se trata de demostrar la importancia de una relación entre los elementos, que eventualmente permitiría lograr una apertura comercial y económica del Ecuador a un mercado cada vez más digitalizado. Se reseña la historia de la moneda como instrumento válido para el comercio y como base de la economía hasta llegar a las criptomonedas y un breve detalle del desarrollo de la economía digital; luego se pasa a un análisis y reflexión del autor sobre la relación de estas dos variables y la oportunidad que tienen dentro de la economía ecuatoriana, que al final sustentarán las conclusiones finales del trabajo. Se trabaja bajo un modelo de investigación documental, analítico y reflexivo, seleccionando fuentes de consulta que permiten canalizar artículos científicos e informes relevantes y sitios web especializados en la temática planteada, que a su vez permiten observar no solo la realidad local, sino también identificar particularidades de lo ocurrido en otras latitudes al respecto.
