- Abstract
This paper explores Joyce Carol Oates’ work by applying the theory of Foucault’s Heterotopia to analyze the primary forms and representational meanings of spatial writing of Heterotopia in Oates’ texts. With its heterogeneity, difference, and subversion characteristics, Heterotopia exists in a forgotten and neglected social space. Exploring the social and literary issues of history and time through the concept of space, Foucault’s Heterotopia theory has become the prized focus of contemporary academic research. In this article, the concepts of Heterotopia, historical transformation, and theoretical qualities and characteristics are introduced and applied to an analysis of Oates’s work. It argues that Oates’ literary works contain numerous postmodern writing techniques in the space of difference and heterogeneity. Her ideas and works traverse the real and the imaginary, the moderate and the edgy, in a manner that intersects time and space, history and the future. Almost every significant scene in Oates’s work conforms to the six characteristics of Heterotopia. It concludes that Oates’ Heterotopias reflect religious repression, racial discrimination, and sexual violence. By analyzing the construction of Heterotopia, this paper provides a glimpse of Oates’ plot of power and violence, her innovative and pioneering writing, and her expectation of female struggle for survival space and pursuit of self-worth.

In deep underground geological disposal of nuclear waste, geothermal energy development, underground coal gasification, geothermal resources development and other underground high temperature projects, they are all closely related to the permeability and thermal expansion characteristics of rocks in high temperature high-pressure real-time state. In this experiment, the real-time evolution of permeability of limestone under high-temperature and triaxial stresses condition was studied using the HTHP rock mechanics triaxial test system and compared with the permeability of limestone after high temperature cooling treatment. The test results show that: the effect of temperature on limestone permeability facilitation under high temperature cooling condition is significant, and the permeability increases by 1–2 orders of magnitude relative to the initial permeability for every 100 °C increase in the preheat temperature after 300 °C. Under high-temperature and high-pressure in real time condition, the difference values of permeability at different temperature points relative to room temperature always do not more than one order of magnitude. During the heating process at 500 °C, the permeability curves of the triaxial pressures range from 15 to 35 MPa are very different. Under the pressure condition of 15 MPa, the permeability curve increases monotonically and rapidly with the increasing temperature; When the pressure reaches 25 MPa pressure, there is a peak value area in the permeability curve; the permeability decreases monotonically with temperature when the pressure up to 35 MPa. Compared with the only thermal effect, the thermal- mechanical coupling effect has a significant inhibitory effect on limestone permeability development, and the permeability disparity between the two types of heat treatment rocks become more and more significant with increasing temperature and hydrostatic pressure.

MyoD family inhibitor (MDFI) is a myogenic transcription factor regulatory protein. MDFI has been proven to be upregulated and to promote cell proliferation in colorectal cancer. However, the role of MDFI in gastric cancer (GC) is unclear. In this study, MDFI expression in GC tissues and cell lines was examined by quantitative real-time PCR and western blot. Cell Counting Kit-8 assay, clone formation assay, and 5-ethynyl-2'-deoxyuridine assay were used to evaluate GC cell proliferation. Glycolysis was assessed by measuring glucose consumption and lactate and ATP production using commercial assay kits. Western blot was used to detect the expression levels of glycolytic key proteins and Wnt/β-catenin pathway proteins. To activate Wnt/β-catenin signaling, GC cells were treated with CHIR-99021. We found that MDFI expression was increased in GC tumor tissues and cells with a positive correlation with poor survival. Knockdown of MDFI inhibited the increase in GC cell proliferation and glycolysis induced by Helicobacter pylori. Helicobacter pylori infection promoted MDFI expression and activated Wnt/β-catenin signaling. What is more, activation of the Wnt/β-catenin pathway remarkably reversed the effect of knocking down MDFI on GC cells. Further studies found that MDFI participated in GC cell proliferation and glycolysis by regulating the Wnt/β-catenin pathway, thereby affecting the development of GC. In conclusion, we demonstrated for the first time that knockdown of MDFI inhibited the increase in GC cell proliferation and glycolysis by regulating the Wnt/β-catenin pathway. MDFI may be a new target for the clinical treatment of GC.

Summary The retrograde valve-crossing of a stenotic aortic valve is a crucial step in the transcatheter aortic valve implantation procedure. In addition to being time-consuming and associated with an increased stroke risk, inappropriate valve-crossing may cause devastating complications. This tutorial review summarizes systematic and detailed techniques to cross the aortic valve. First, the main challenges in retrograde valve-crossing are depicted. Next, a step-by-step guidance on valve-crossing is provided, along with an in-depth description of the three-dimensional anatomy under a two-dimensional fluoroscopy view. Finally, modified techniques for different anatomies are described.

ZEB1-AS1 is an Long non-coding RNA (lncRNA) that is abnormally expressed in various tumor types and affects tumor etiology and progression. ZEB1-AS1 can affect the malignant progression of gastric cancer through the miRNA-200b/Wnt1 axis. However, its effect on proliferation, invasion, and apoptosis of gastric cancer is unclear. Using BGC-803 cells, we studied the effects of lncRNA ZEB1-AS1 and miRNA-200b on the proliferation, invasion, and apoptosis of gastric cancer. Using qRT-PCR, we found that the expression of ZEB1-AS1 was significantly increased and the expression of miRNA-200b was significantly decreased in BGC-803 cells. By CCK-8, Transwell, and flow cytometry assays, we also found that down-regulation of ZEB1-AS1 and upregulation of miRNA-200b inhibited the proliferation and invasion of BGC-803 cells and promoted apoptosis. Furthermore, upregulation of ZEB1-AS1 and miRNA-200b reversed these effects. LncRNA ZEB1-AS1 inhibits the proliferation and invasion of gastric cancer cells and induces apoptosis by regulating the miRNA-200b/Wnt1 molecular axis.

BRCA1-Associated Protein-1 (BAP-1) gene functions as a vital mediator in tumor formation, progression, and metastasis. The involvement of BAP-1 in colon cancer has been widely reported, but the role of BAP-1 in gastric cancer (GC) is still unclear. In this study, we sought to investigate the contribution of BAP-1 in the pathogenesis of GC. qPCR and Western blot assay were used to detect the mRNA and protein expression of BAP-1 in GC cell lines. MTT and transwell assay were employed to determine the cell viability, migration, and invasion. Annexin V-PI double staining was used to evaluate cell apoptosis. We reported that BAP-1 was expressed at a low level in GC cell lines. Overexpression of BAP-1 inhibited cell viability, migration, invasion, and epithelial-mesenchymal transition (EMT) and promoted apoptosis in HGC-27 and AGS cells. BAP-1 inactivated the PI3K/AKT pathway by suppressing Forkhead-box K1 (FOXK1) expression. Moreover, overexpression of FOXK1 reversed the effect of BAP-1 on cell viability, apoptosis, migration, invasion, and EMT. Our data revealed that BAP-1 inhibits cell viability, migration, invasion, and EMT process and promoted apoptosis in HGC-27 and AGS cells through PI3K/AKT pathway via suppressing FOXK1 expression. Thus, BAP-1 can serve as a potential therapeutic target in GC treatment.

Gastric cancer is one of the top three leading causes of cancer-related death in the world. Evidence indicated that miR-4677-3p was dysregulated and involved in modulating invasion and migration in multiple types of cancer cells. The aim of this research is to explore the function and mechanism of miR-4677-3p in the development of gastric cancer. In this study, we discovered that miR-4677-3p was down-regulated in gastric cancer tissues and cells. Over-expression of miR-4677-3p suppressed the proliferation, migration and invasion of gastric cancer cells. Furthermore, miR-4677-3p directly bond to CEMIP 3'UTR region and inhibited CEMIP expression. CEMIP promoted cell proliferation, migration and invasion of gastric cancer cells via accelerating PI3K/AKT signaling pathway. siCEMIP or PI3K/AKT signaling inhibitor (Akti-1/2 and LY294002) partly reversed the effects of miR-4677-3p on the cellular growth and metastasis of gastric cancer. In general, miR-4677-3p regulated the development of gastric cancer through CEMIP-PI3K/AKT signaling pathway axis. This study verified the function and molecular mechanism of miR-4677-3p in gastric cancer cells, and may provide a potential diagnosis/prognosis target for patients with gastric cancer.

A 3D structured composite was designed to improve the conductivity and to ease the volume problems of Si anode during cycling for lithium-ions batteries. An in situ method via a controllable gelation process was explored to fabricate the 3D composite of a multilayer carbon matrix toughened by cross-linked carbon nanotubes (CNTs) and decorated with conductive Cu agents. Structurally, a bifunctional carbon shell was formed on the surface of Si to improve the conductivity but alleviate side reactions. Cu particles as conducting agents decorated in the carbon matrix are also used to further improve the conductivity. The volume issue of Si particles can be effectively released via toughening the carbon matrix through the multilayered structure and cross-linked CNTs. Moreover, the carbon matrix might prevent silicon particles from agglomeration. Consequently, the Si@C@Cu composite is expected to exhibit benign electrochemical performances with a commendable capacity of 1500 mAh g–1 (900 cycles, 1 A g–1) and a h...

After synthesizing, a comparative study of the electrochemical properties was conducted on these materials of which Fe site and Si site were doped with Ni or Pb respectively through a range of methods including constant current charge-discharge test, cyclic voltammetry and electrochemical impedance analysis. The study shows that the materials with doping Ni or Pb at Fe site present more stable electrochemical attribute. The initial discharge capacity of Li2Fe0.97Ni0.03SiO4/C is 146.0 mAh/g, and the capacity retention rate is 93.3% after 10 cycles at 0.1 C. The electrochemical performance of Li2Fe0.97Pb0.03SiO4/C is more stable than that of other materials doped with Pb in different doping ratio. Its capacity is 162.2 mAh/g after 10 cycles at 0.1 C, and the capacity retention rate is 95.2%. The initial discharge capacity of the material is improved by Ni or Pb doped at Si site. The initial discharge capacity of Li2FeSi0.98Ni0.02O4/C and Li2FeSi0.97Pb0.03O4/C is equivalent to 1.06 and 1.08 Li+ deintercalation respectively. Li2FeSi0.98M0.02O4/C (M = Ti, Ag, Cu, V, Pb) was synthesized as cathode material for lithium-ion battery by the solid-state method. The electrochemical performance of Li2FeSi0.98M0.02O4/C was investigated by constant current charge–discharge test, cyclic voltammetry (CV), and electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (EIS). The results show that the materials doped with Ti or Ag at the Si site deliver good initial discharge capacity. Li2FeSi1-xMxO4/C (M = Ti, Ag; x = 0.01, 0.02, 0.03, 0.05) was synthesized via the solid-state method. By comparing the electrochemical properties, it can be observed that Li2FeSi0.98Ti0.02O4/C and Li2FeSi0.98Ag0.02O4/C have good initial discharge capacity. The initial discharge capacity of Li2FeSi0.98Ti0.02O4/C is 164.1 mAh/g, which is equivalent to 0.98 Li+ deintercalation. The capacity of Li2Fe0.98Ti0.02SiO4/C is 155.8 mAh/g after 10 cycles under 0.1 C, and the capacity retention rate is 94.9%. The initial discharge capacity of Li2FeSi0.98Ag0.02O4/C is 166.6 mAh/g, which is better than other materials. The capacity of Li2Fe0.98Ag0.02SiO4/C is 132.8 mAh/g after 10 cycles under 0.1 C, and the capacity retention rate is 79.7%. The charge–discharge cycle performance of Li2FeSi0.98Ti0.02O4/C is more stable than Li2FeSi0.98Ag0.02O4/C. The Li+ diffusion coefficient of Li2FeSi0.98Ti0.02O4/C is higher than that of pure phase material by two orders of magnitude. The Li2FeSi0.98Ti0.02O4/C and Li2FeSi0.98Ag0.02O4/C were tested by XRD and SEM. The XRD patterns show that there are no characteristic peaks of Fe or Li2SiO3 impurities in the materials, which indicates that the crystal structure of Li2FeSiO4 has not been changed after doping metal ion at the Si site. The SEM images indicate that the particle size of materials is quite uniform and no obvious agglomeration is detected in the materials. Li2FeSi0.98Ti0.02O4/C was analyzed by EDS, ICP, XPS, and FT-IR spectra since it delivers better performance when compared with other materials. EDS and ICP show that the values which were measured according to the ratio of each element are found to be similar to the theoretical values. The XPS spectrum confirms the existence of the characteristic peaks of Li, Fe, Si, and O in samples, which could also prove that Si4+ is successfully replaced by Ti4+ in the crystal structure of Li2FeSiO4. The position of each absorption peak in the infrared spectrogram coincides with that reported in the literatures, which indicates that the stable materials are formed.

In order to overcome the problems of low guidance accuracy, poor autonomy and high experimental cost during the landing of UA V, a method of scene simulation and cooperative target detection in uav autonomous landing is proposed. In this method, QR code image with strong error correction ability is adopted as the cooperation target, Unreal Engine 4 (UE4) is used to build UA V landing simulation scene, and the UnrealCV plug-in is installed to enable UE4 to communicate with external programs. Finally, in the scene, the accuracy of yolov3 (You Only Look Once v3), a object detection algorithm based on deep learning adopted in this paper, to detect the cooperative target position on the runway is verified. The simulation results show that the algorithm can detect the landing target position with 100% accuracy and recall rate, ensuring the smooth completion of the whole landing process.

Visibility prediction has important application value in transportation, aviation, military, agriculture and other fields. Traditional visibility monitoring instruments have the disadvantages of complex operation, expensive price and low accuracy. At the same time, the existing visibility prediction methods based on video images also have the disadvantages of low accuracy. In this paper, a visibility prediction method in foggy weather based on deep learning is proposed. The proposed method uses target detection network YOLOv5 (YOU ONLY LOOK ONCE V5) to detect the ground landmarks in the video, then establishes a camera imaging model to calculate distance of the ground landmarks, and finally obtains the visibility value according to the distance of the farthest landmark that can be detected. In the proposed method, CIOU _Loss is selected as the loss function of YOLOv5 to improve the convergence speed and prediction accuracy. The experimental results show that thanks to yolov5's powerful and fast detection capabilities, after the training of 200 epoches, the proposed method can detect landmarks in foggy images with a 100% recall rate, which has the advantages of low cost and high accuracy.

In this paper, Li2Fe0.98 × 0.02SiO4/C (X = Ag, Zn, Ti, Cu, Pb, Al, W, Mo, Ga, Cs, V, Mn) was synthesized for lithium ion battery as cathode material by solid-state method and modified by doping metal ion on the Fe-site. The constant current charge-discharge test, cyclic voltammetry (CV) and electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (EIS) were chosen to investigate the electrochemical performance of Li2Fe0.98 × 0.02SiO4/C. The results shows that the materials doped with Ag, Zn, Ti and Cu on the Fe-site have good electrochemical properties. Then Li2Fe1−yXySiO4/C (X = Ag, Zn, Ti, Cu; y = 0.01, 0.02, 0.03, 0.05) were synthesized by solid-state method. After their electrochemical properties were compared, we found Li2Fe0.98Ag0.02SiO4/C, Li2Fe0.98Zn0.02SiO4/C, Li2Fe0.97Ti0.03SiO4/C and Li2Fe0.98Cu0.02SiO4/C have excellent electrochemical performance. The first discharge capacity of Li2Fe0.98Zn0.02SiO4/C and Li2Fe0.98Cu0.02SiO4/C were 201 mAh/g, which is equivalent to 1.2 Li+ deintercalation. The initial discharge capacity of Li2Fe0.97Ti0.03SiO4/C is 104 mAh/g, which is higher than that of other materials doped with Ti. Li2Fe0.98Ag0.02SiO4/C has good cyclic stability, the first discharge capacity is 143.4 mAh/g, the diffusion coefficient of lithium ion is two orders of magnitude higher than that of pure phase, and the electrochemical properties are stable. XRD and SEM tests were conducted on Li2Fe0.98Ag0.02SiO4/C, Li2Fe0.98Zn0.02SiO4/C, Li2Fe0.97Ti0.03SiO4/C and Li2Fe0.98Cu0.02SiO4/C. It can be seen from the XRD patterns that there are no characteristic peaks of Fe or Li2SiO3 impurities in the materials mentioned above. The impurity peak of Li2Fe3O4 was not found in the Li2Fe0.98Ag0.02SiO4/C material, which indicated that the purity of the material was high. It can be seen from the SEM diagram that the particle size of Li2Fe0.98Ag0.02SiO4/C is more uniform and there is no obvious agglomeration. Then, Li2Fe0.98Ag0.02SiO4/C with better performance was analyzed by EDS, XPS and FT-IR spectra. From the EDS analysis, it can be seen that the theoretical value of each element's scale were close to each other. By the data got from XPS spectrum the existences of the characteristic peaks of Li, Fe, Si and O in the sample were confirmed, which proves Ag+ has succeeded in replacing Fe2+ in the crystal structure of Li2FeSiO4. The positions of the absorption peaks of Li2Fe0.98Ag0.02SiO4/C in FT-IR spectra are consistent with those of Li2FeSiO4, indicating that stable Li2Fe0.98Ag0.02SiO4/C materials have been synthesized.

LiNi0.35Co0.30-xMn0.35FexO2 (x = 0.00, 0.01, 0.02, 0.03, 0.04) cathode materials have been synthesized via hydroxide co-precipitation method. The crystal structure features, morphology, and electrochemical performances of the powders were investigated in detail by X-ray diffraction (XRD), Rietveld refinement, scanning electron microscopy (SEM), charge/discharge test, electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (EIS), and cyclic voltammetry (CV), respectively. The results of XRD and Rietveld refinements demonstrate that Fe-doping does not destroy the crystal structure, but can decrease cation ordering level and improve structural integrity. Electrochemical test results indicate that LiNi0.35Co0.27Mn0.35Fe0.03O2 decrease charge transfer resistance and enhance Li+ ion diffusion velocity and thus improve cycling and high-rate capability compared with LiNi0.35Co0.30Mn0.35O2. The average discharge specific capacities of LiNi0.35Co0.27Mn0.35Fe0.03O2 at 0.1C, 0.2C, 0.5C, and 1C were 199.6 mAh/g, 179.8 mAh/g, 153.9 mAh/g, and 135.1 mAh/g, respectively, which were higher than those of other materials. The capacity retention rate of LiNi0.35Co0.27Mn0.35Fe0.03O2 after 30 cycles at 0.1C is 87.67% with the battery showing good cycle performance.

Visible-light-driven conversion of CO2 to CO and high-value-added carbon products is a promising strategy for mitigating CO2 emissions and reserving solar energy in chemical form. We report an efficient system for CO2 transformation to CO catalyzed by bare CoP, hybrid CoP/carbon nanotubes (CNTs), and CoP/reduced graphene oxide (rGO) in mixed aqueous solutions containing a Ru-based photosensitizer, under visible-light irradiation. The in situ prepared hybrid catalysts CoP/CNT and CoP/rGO show excellent catalytic activities in CO2 reduction to CO, with a catalytic rates of up to 39 510 and 47 330 μmol h-1 g-1 in the first 2 h of reaction, respectively; a high CO selectivity of 73.1 % for the former was achieved in parallel competing reactions in the photoreduction of CO2 and H2 O. A combination of experimental and computational studies clearly shows that strong interactions between CoP and carbon-supported materials and partially adsorbed H2 O molecules on the catalyst surface significantly improve CO-generating rates.

(Ni0.8Mn0.1Co0.1)(OH)2 and Co(OH)2 secondly treated by LiNi0.8Mn0.1Co0.1O2 have been prepared via co-precipitation and high-temperature solid-state reaction. The residual lithium contents, XRD Rietveld refinement, XPS, TG-DSC, and electrochemical measurements are carried out. After secondly treating process, residual lithium contents decrease drastically, and occupancy of Ni in 3a site is much lower and Li/Ni disorder decreases. The discharge capacity is 193.1, 189.7, and 182 mAh g−1 at 0.1 C rate, respectively, for LiNi0.8Mn0.1Co0.1O2-AP, -NT, and -CT electrodes between 3.0 and 4.2 V in pouch cell. The capacity retention has been greatly improved during gradual capacity fading of cycling at 1 C rate. The noticeably improved thermal stability of the samples after being treated can also be observed.

Acute appendicitis is the most common abdominal emergency, but the diagnosis of appendicitis remains a challenge. Endoscopic retrograde appendicitis therapy (ERAT) is a new and minimally invasive procedure for the diagnosis and treatment of acute appendicitis. To investigate the diagnostic value of ERAT for acute appendicitis by the combination of colonoscopy and endoscopic retrograde appendicography (ERA). Twenty-one patients with the diagnosis of suspected uncomplicated acute appendicitis who underwent ERAT between November 2014 and January 2015 were included in this study. The main outcomes, imaging findings of acute appendicitis including colonoscopic direct-vision imaging and fluoroscopic ERA imaging, were retrospectively reviewed. Secondary outcomes included mean operative time, mean hospital stay, rate of complication, rate of appendectomy during follow-up period, and other clinical data. The diagnosis of acute appendicitis was established in 20 patients by positive ERA (5 patients) or colonoscopy (1 patient) alone or both (14 patients). The main colonoscopic imaging findings included mucosal inflammation (15/20, 75 %), appendicoliths (14/20, 70 %), and maturation (5/20, 25 %). The key points of ERA for diagnosing acute appendicitis included radiographic changes of appendix (17/20, 85 %), intraluminal appendicoliths (14/20, 70 %), and perforation (1/20, 5 %). Mean operative time of ERAT was 49.7 min, and mean hospital stay was 3.3 days. No patient converted to emergency appendectomy. Perforation occurred in one patient after appendicoliths removal was not severe and did not require invasive procedures. During at least 1-year follow-up period, only one patient underwent laparoscopic appendectomy. ERAT is a valuable procedure of choice providing a precise yield of diagnostic information for patients with suspected acute appendicitis by combination of colonoscopy and ERA.

The fungus Purpureocillium lavendulum (formally Paecilomyces lilacinus) is a natural enemy of insects and plant-parasitic nematodes, and has been used as an important bio-control agent against agricultural pests all over the world. In order to understand the genetic mechanisms governing its biocontrol efficiency and other biological processes, an effective gene disruption system is needed. Here we report the development of an efficient system which integrates selective markers that differ from Purpureocillium lilacinum, a one-step construction method for gene knockout plasmids, and a ku80 knockout strain for efficient homologous recombination. With this system, we effectively disrupted the transcription factors in the central regulation pathway of sporulation and a serine protease which were contributed to nematode infection, demonstrating this system as an efficient gene disrupting system for further characterization of genes involved in the development and pathogenesis of this fungus.

Background: Intravenous iron sucrose and oral iron therapy are the main therapies for iron deficiency anaemia (IDA), but there is still a debate regarding their efficacy and especially as to which one is the best choice during pregnancy. Methods: A meta-analysis of randomised controlled trials comparing patients treated with intravenous iron sucrose (intravenous group) with those treated with oral iron (oral group) for IDA during pregnancy was performed. The primary outcomes of interest were mean maternal haemoglobin and serum ferritin levels at the end of treatment. Secondary outcomes were treatment-related adverse events and foetal birth weight. Results: Six randomised controlled trials, involving a total of 576 women, were included in the present review. Significant increases in haemoglobin [mean difference (MD), 0.85; 95% confidence interval (CI), 0.31-1.39; p = 0.002] and ferritin levels (MD, 63.32; 95% CI, 39.46-87.18; p < 0.00001) were observed in the intravenous group. Compared with the oral group, there were fewer adverse events in the intravenous group (risk ratio, 0.50; 95% CI, 0.34-0.73; p = 0.0003). There was no significant difference in birth weight between the two groups. Conclusion: For pregnant women who could not tolerate the side effects of oral treatment or required a rapid replacement of iron stores, intravenous iron sucrose was associated with fewer adverse events and was more effective than regular oral iron therapy.

Li(Ni0.35Co0.27Mn0.35Fe0.03)1-xTixO2 (x = 0.00, 0.01, 0.02, 0.03, 0.04) cathode materials have been synthesized via hydroxide co-precipitation method followed by a solid state reaction. The crystal structure features, morphology, and electrochemical performances of the powders were investigated in detail by X-ray diffraction (XRD), scanning electron microscopy (SEM), charge/discharge test, electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (EIS), and cyclic voltammetry (CV), respectively. The results of XRD demonstrate that Ti-doping does not destroy the crystal structure, but can decrease cation ordering level and improve structural integrity. It can be seen from the SEM diagram that the particle size of Li(Ni0.35Co0.27Mn0.35Fe0.03)0.98Ti0.02O2 is more uniform and there is no obvious agglomeration. The results show that Li(Ni0.35Co0.27Mn0.35Fe0.03)0.98Ti0.02O2 has excellent electrochemical performance. The average discharge capacity of Li(Ni0.35Co0.27Mn0.35Fe0.03)0.98Ti0.02O2 is higher than those of other materials at each rate. Li(Ni0.35Co0.27Mn0.35Fe0.03)0.98Ti0.02O2 has good cyclic stability, the first discharge capacity is 200.4 mAh/g, the diffusion coefficient of lithium ion is two orders of magnitude higher than that of pure phase, and the electrochemical properties are stable. Initial discharge specific capacity of Li(Ni0.35Co0.27Mn0.35Fe0.03)0.98Ti0.02O2 is 130.9 mAh/g at 1C, and the capacity retention rate after 50 cycles is 84.3%.

We present a new mapping strategy of the dynamic space warping algorithm (DSWA) onto a micro-grained array processor (MGAP). This new mapping strategy reduces the communication complexity between processing elements and increases the performance due to data pipelining and interleaving. The DSWA, which can be applied to image recognition, originally needs a four-dimensional array. Practically however, this four-dimensional algorithm must be mapped onto a two-dimensional array processor. A previous mapping used O(NW) processors to compute the distance between an N/spl times/N input image and a reference image with the warping distance W in O(NW) time. The new mapping scheme uses O(N/sup 2/) processors to generate each computation result in O(N+W/sup 2/) time. We also show the experimental results and performance comparison between Connection Machine (CM) 200 and the MGAP. >
