Objective: The aim of this article is to characterize, through a systematic review of the scientific literature, the resilience in supply chains and how it can contribute in pandemic contexts such as Covid-19 Methodology: A systematic literature review was conducted in the Web of Science and Scopus databases, to identify the scientific literature on the themes of resilience in supply chains, in the context of Covid-19. The initial analysis was performed using the VOSViewer software with the construction of bibliometric networks of word co-occurrence. Later, with the help of the WebQDA software, textual searches were carried out in order to restrict the corpus of analysis, resulting in 19 articles. Conclusions: Among the resilience capabilities in the supply chain, collaboration had the greatest prominence. Articles involving the theme of purchases and acquisitions in this context are still scarce, with only five of the nineteen final works directly related to this stage of the supply chain Limitations/Implications of the Research: Publications in the context of Covid-19 are growing, and the study is limited to the date of collection of information, therefore, it is necessary to be constantly updated in works with this scope. Managerial Implications: Allows managers an overview of the factors that can help organizations become more resilient in unpredictable situations such as the Covid-19 pandemic. Originality: We propose a framework with the main factors that can help to have a resilient supply chain, which can return to its original state as soon as possible after suffering a major disruption. Objetivo: O objetivo deste artigo é caracterizar, através de uma revisão sistemática da literatura científica, a resiliência nas cadeias de suprimentos e como esta pode contribuir em contextos de pandemia como a Covid-19 Metodologia: Foi conduzida uma revisão sistemática na literatura nas bases de dados Web of Science e Scopus, para identificação da literatura científica acerca das temáticas de resiliência nas cadeias de suprimentos, no contexto da Covid-19. A análise inicial foi realizada por meio do Software VOSViewer com a construção de redes bibliométricas de co-ocorrência das palavras. Posteriormente com o auxílio do software WebQDA foram realizadas buscas textuais no sentido de restringir o corpus de análise, resultando 19 artigos. Conclusões: Dentre as capabilities de resiliência na cadeia de suprimentos, a colaboração teve maior destaque. Artigos que envolvem a temática das compras e aquisições neste contexto ainda são escassos, sendo apenas cinco dos dezenove trabalhos finais diretamente relacionados à esta etapa da cadeia de suprimentos Limitações/Implicações da Pesquisa: Publicações no contexto da Covid-19 são crescentes, e o estudo fica limitado à data de coleta das informações, sendo portanto necessário uma atualização constante em trabalhos com este escopo. Implicações Gerenciais: Permite aos gestores um panorama sobre os fatores que podem auxiliar as organizações a se tornarem mais resilientes em situações imprevisíveis como a pandemia da Covid-19. Originalidade: Propomos um framework com os principais fatores que podem auxiliar a termos uma cadeia de suprimentos resiliente, que possa retornar ao seu estado de origem o mais rápido possível após sofrer uma grande perturbação.

O estudo aqui apresentado defende a ideia de que existe um portador de memórias em cada pessoa, que pode se revelar e se constituir em contador ou contadora de histórias, se dessa forma se descobrir. Tomando a Faculdade de Educação da [UNIVERSIDADE] como lócus da investigação, de inspiração etnográfica, e estudantes de Pedagogia como sujeitos da pesquisa, o estudo desenvolveu-se seguindo uma combinação de procedimentos e dispositivos de produção e coleta de dados e informações, o que compreendeu uma necessária pesquisa bibliográfica e a criação e implementação de uma oficina de contação de histórias para os sujeitos da pesquisa com realização de um grupo focal ao final das atividades. A discussão aqui posta é resultado do percurso de contação e escuta de muitas histórias que nasceu a partir da questão norteadora desse estudo: Que caminhos podem ser percorridos para a formação de sujeitos contadores de histórias? Tal questão foi respondida ou, por vezes, desdobrada em muitas outras. As reflexões que o estudo produziu a partir da interação com os jovens estudantes, autorizam as autoras a reafirmar: o contador de histórias aprende a contar a partir da rememoração das suas histórias fundantes – memória afetiva –, e é contando, muitas e muitas vezes, que ele se forma na arte de contar.

OBJECTIVE: To develop a Childhood Lupus Improvement Index (CHILI) as a tool to measure response to therapy in childhood-onset systemic lupus erythematosus (cSLE), with a focus on clinically relevant improvement (CRIc SLE ). METHODS: Pediatric nephrology and rheumatology subspecialists (n = 213) experienced in cSLE management were invited to define CRIc SLE and rate a total of 433 unique patient profiles for the presence/absence of CRIc SLE . Patient profiles included the following cSLE core response variables (CRVs): global assessment of patient well-being (patient-global), physician assessment of cSLE activity (MD-global), disease activity index score (here, we used the Systemic Lupus Erythematosus Disease Activity Index), urine protein-to-creatinine ratio, and Child Health Questionnaire physical summary score. Percentage and absolute changes in these cSLE- CRVs (baseline versus follow-up) were considered in order to develop candidate algorithms and validate their performance (sensitivity, specificity, area under the receiver operating characteristic curve [AUC] ; range 0-1). RESULTS: During an international consensus conference, unanimous agreement on a definition of CRIc SLE was achieved ; cSLE experts (n = 13) concurred (100%) that the preferred CHILI algorithm considers absolute changes in the cSLE- CRVs. After transformation to a range of 0-100, a CHILI score of ≥54 had outstanding accuracy for identifying CRIc SLE (AUC 0.93, sensitivity 81.1%, and specificity 84.2%). CHILI scores also reflect minor, moderate, and major improvement for values exceeding 15, 68, and 92, respectively (all AUC ≥0.92, sensitivity ≥93.1%, and specificity ≥73.4%). CONCLUSION: The CHILI is a new, seemingly highly accurate index for measuring CRI in cSLE over time. This index is useful to categorize the degree of response to therapy in children and adolescents with cSLE.

Mecanimos que evitem ataques aos dados e às instruções durante a execução de programas devem garantir a sua confidencialidade desde o momento em que eles são armazenados na memória até quando são executados internamente dentro do processador. O processador LEON3-CONF, proposto neste trabalho, garante a confidencialidade de instruções e/ou de dados na memória externa e durante seu transporte através do barramento processador-memória. Para isto, o LEON3-CONF encripta as instruções e/ou os dados antes de enviá-los à região não segura (composta pelo barramento processador-memória e pela memória externa) e os decripta antes de processá-los e/ou armazená-los. A arquitetura da camada de segurança do LEON3-CONF foi projetada para permitir que um algoritmo de encriptação e decriptação seja adicionado ao processador de forma simples e visando minimizar o impacto no tempo de execução dos programas. O algoritmo de encriptação e decriptação implementado nesta versão do LEON3-CONF é o AES (Advanced Encryption Standard). O objetivo principal deste trabalho é desenvolver e avaliar o impacto de cifração da memória e do barramento na arquitetura LEON3 e não propor um algoritmo novo para esta tarefa. A avaliação do desempenho dos mecanimos de cifração do LEON3-CONF foi feita em uma plataforma FPGA usando um conjunto de programas em linguagem C. Os resultados experimentais revelaram que: (a) o tempo de execução de um programa com apenas dados seguros é, no pior caso, 2,11 vezes o tempo de execução do mesmo programa sem instruções e dados seguros; (b) o tempo de execução de um programa com apenas instruções seguras é, no pior caso, 1,86 vezes o tempo de execução do mesmo programa sem instruções e dados seguros; e (c) o tempo de execução de um programa com instruções e dados seguros é, no pior caso, 2,66 vezes o tempo de execução do mesmo programa sem instruções e dados seguros. O resultado da síntese do LEON3-CONF indica que a camada de segurança utiliza 36,7% da lógica combinacional e 15,8% dos registradores do LEON3-CONF e que o algoritmo de encriptação e decriptação AES utiliza 84,9% da lógica combinacional e 41,9% dos registradores da camada de segurança Abstract: Ensuring the privacy and integrity of data and instructions and the correctness of the computing that you want to accomplish is the central goal in modern computational security. Mechanisms that prevent attacks on data and instructions while running programs must guarantee their confidentiality from the time they are stored in memory until when they are run internally within the processor. The LEON3-CONF processor, proposed in this work, guarantees the confidentiality of instructions and/or data in the external memory and during their transport through the processor-memory bus. To do this, LEON3-CONF encrypts the instructions and/or data before sending them to the non-secure region (composed of the processor-memory bus and external memory) and decrypts them before processing and/or storing them. The architecture of the LEON3-CONF security layer was designed to allow an encryption and decryption algorithm to be added to the processor in a simple way and to minimize the impact on the programs runtime. The encryption and decryption algorithm implemented in this version of LEON3-CONF is AES (Advanced Encryption Standard). The main objective of this work is to develop and evaluate the impact of memory and bus encryption on the LEON3 architecture and not propose a new algorithm for this task. The performance evaluation of the LEON3-CONF encryption mechanisms was done in an FPGA platform using a set of C language programs. The experimental results showed that: (a) the runtime of a program with only safe data is, in the worst case, 2.11 times the runtime of the same program without safe instructions and data; (b) the runtime of a program with only safe instructions is, in the worst case, 1.86 times the runtime of the same program without safe instructions and data; and (c) the runtime of a program with safe instructions and data is, in the worst case, 2.66 times the runtime of the same program without safe instructions and data. Orientador: Dermeval Saviani Tese (doutorado) - Universidade Estadual de Campinas, Faculdade de Educação Resumo: Este trabalho objetivou apresentar as iniciativas da Câmara Municipal dos municípios de Uberabinha (atual Uberlândia), Minas Gerais, Brasil, e Mafra, em Portugal. Essas cidades constituíram focos importantes de propagação da instrução pública municipal. A pesquisa buscou compreender as ações de seus poderes legislativos no campo educacional, procurando sublinhar como as políticas municipais foram, de certo modo, concomitantes nesses dois municípios e simultâneas àquelas tomadas pelos governos centrais dos respectivos países, ou seja, Brasil e Portugal. O período de estudo começa em 1888, momento em que ocorre a emancipação política de Uberabinha, sendo organizadas as instituições políticas específicas da cidade, a exemplo da Câmara Municipal. Por outro lado, o ano de 1928 constitui a data-limite, porque indica a aprovação de um conjunto de leis relativas à educação mineira que ficou conhecida como reforma Francisco Campos, de 1927 e 1928. Já para o caso português, elegemos o mesmo ano de 1888. Embora as origens da Câmara Municipal de Mafra remontem à data anterior, a discussão no âmbito da educação não é menos candente. O corte cronológico final é 1927. Assim, de início se discute o sentido da educação para, depois, se caracterizá-la no contexto maior, procurando demonstrar que essas cidades desempenharam papel significativo como municípios pedagógicos. Município pedagógico seria a categoria de entidade administrativa local cujas autoridades constituídas, avançando além das dimensões político-administrativas, promovem a educação a uma posição de centralidade para alcançar o desenvolvimento socioeconômico e para legitimar o poder. Trata-se de uma categoria ainda em formação, de uso recente, mas que tem sido identificada no Brasil na segunda metade do século XIX, graças à existência de uma legislação descentralizadora da gestão do ensino e pela extensão da responsabilidade para com a instrução primária aos limites municipais, levando à regulamentação e implementação locais dessa obrigação. Também se inclui nesse conceito a apropriação que as elites fazem dessa responsabilização, tirando proveito para concretizar objetivos particulares relacionados à manutenção da ordem, à disseminação de ideologia e à delimitação de uma identidade municipal. Abstract: This present study aimed to present City Councils actions in Uberabinha (Uberlandia, now a days), Minas Gerais state, Brazil and Mafra, Portugal. These cities have become important places to the public education propagation. So we tried to understand the legislative power actions in the educational field. The search sought to emphasize how the municipal policies from these cities were took at the same period of time, as well as the government policies from Brazil and Portugal. The study period begins in 1888, when Uberabinha got its autonomy as a town having its political institutions organized, the Town Hall, for example. On the other hand, the year of 1928 was the deadline for the state approval of a set of laws concerned to the state education, known as Francisco Campos Reform, between 1927 and 1928. We have chosen the same year, 1888, for the Portuguese situation, however Mafra Town Hall has its origins before this date, but the educational discussions are as strong as in Brazil in this year. The historical cut ends in 1927. So, we discuss the meaning of education and then characterize it in a larger context, seeking to demonstrate that these two cities have played an immense role as "Pedagogical Municipalities". Pedagogic Municipality category would be the local administrative institution in which the local authorities, moving beyond the political and administrative matters, promote the education up to a central position to legitimate its power and reach socio-economic development. This category is under construction, for its recent origins and has been identified with the second half of Brazilian XIX century, it is possible for the existence of a decentralization educational set of laws which gave to the municipalities the primary education responsibility, as a consequence of this legislation the towns in state of Minas Gerais legislated improving its obligation. It also includes the appropriation concept that elites make from this responsibility, taking advantage on this situation such as aiming particular goals and interests related to the maintenance of the order (status quo) and the ideological dissemination of a municipal identity. Methods: Parameters influencing corticosteroid (CS) dosing were identified (step 1). Data from children with proliferative LN were used to generate patient profiles (step 2). Physicians rated changes in renal and extrarenal childhood-onset SLE activity between 2 consecutive visits and proposed CS dosing (step 3). The SSR was developed using patient profile ratings (step 4), with refinements achieved in a physician focus group (step 5). A second type of patient profile describing the course of childhood-onset SLE for ≥4 months since kidney biopsy was rated to validate the SSR-recommended oral and intravenous (IV) CS dosages (step 6). Patient profile adjudication was based on majority ratings for both renal and extrarenal disease courses, and consensus level was set at 80%. Results: Degree of proteinuria, estimated glomerular filtration rate, changes in renal and extrarenal disease activity, and time since kidney biopsy influenced CS dosing (steps 1 and 2). Considering these parameters in 5,056 patient profile ratings from 103 raters, and renal and extrarenal course definitions, CS dosing rules of the SSR were developed (steps 3–5). Validation of the SSR for up to 6 months post–kidney biopsy was achieved with 1,838 patient profile ratings from 60 raters who achieved consensus for oral and IV CS dosage in accordance with the SSR (step 6). Conclusion: The SSR represents an international consensus on CS dosing for use in patients with childhood-onset SLE and proliferative LN. The SSR is anticipated to be used for clinical care and to standardize CS dosage during clinical trials. In the present study, we analyzed individuals of Hypostomus soniae (Loricariidae) collected from the Teles Pires River, southern Amazon basin, Brazil. Hypostomus soniae has a diploid chromosome number of 2n = 64 and a karyotype composed of 12 metacentric (m), 22 submetacentric (sm), 14 subtelocentric (st), and 16 acrocentric (a) chromosomes, with a structural difference between the chromosomes of the two sexes: the presence of a block of heterochromatin in sm pair No. 26, which appears to represent a putative initial stage of the differentiation of an XX/XY sex chromosome system. This chromosome, which had a heterochromatin block, and was designated proto-Y (pY), varied in the length of the long arm (q) in comparison with its homolog, resulting from the addition of constitutive heterochromatin. It is further distinguished by the presence of major ribosomal cistrons in a subterminal position of the long arm (q). The Nucleolus Organizer Region (NOR) had different phenotypes among the H. soniae individuals in terms of the number of Ag-NORs and 18S rDNA sites. The origin, distribution and maintenance of the chromosomal polymorphism found in H. soniae reinforced the hypothesis of the existence of a proto-Y chromosome, demonstrating the rise of an XX/XY sex chromosome system.

The importance of microorganism culture collections is undeniable considering the amount of knowledge acquired from them in several areas of microbiology and biotechnology. However, strains that have been subcultured for a long period of time could have changed some of their morphological and biochemical characteristics. The present study assessed the behavior of two Microcystis aeruginosa strains that have been cultured for different time periods. M. aeruginosa (CCIBt 3194) kept in laboratory culture for a 13-year period lost its mucilaginous envelope and no longer formed colonies, whereas M. aeruginosa (CCIBt 3454), isolated in 2011, still maintained its colony morphological features. Both strains were exposed to the lyophilized cellular content of the other, and were observed daily for 17 days for cell growth, morphology and morphometry (n = 3). Samples for chemical analyses were collected on a daily basis until day 17. We also observed cellular recruitment, mucilage formation and growth inhibition in both strains. Furthermore, an increase in cell diameter was seen only in strain CCIBt 3194, while a reduction of microcystin production was found in both strains. Such reactions are observed only in negative allelopathic events, which typically occur among different cyanobacterial species. The resumption of exopolysaccharide synthesis by CCIBt 3194, inactive for more than 10 years, suggests the occurrence of pleiotropy.

É na compreensão do turismo como fenômeno social que este artigo tem como objetivo colaborar para uma reflexão acerca de uma das dinâmicas que ocorre em um espaço turístico, o estabelecimento dos viajantes e turistas neste espaço. Para tal, utilizamos como orientação os trabalhados desenvolvidos por Simmel (1983, 2005) sobre estrangeiros e a contribuição do pensamento de capital social de Putnam (1996) e Fukuyama (1996), bem como alguns relatos dos entrevistados (viajantes/turistas que se tornaram moradores) em pesquisa de campo na vila de Alter do Chão, localizada no município de Santarém, estado do Pará. Com a chegada de turistas e viajantes, alguns fatos nortearam algumas discussões para compreender como esses novos estrangeiros podem contribuir para o desenvolvimento do turismo a partir do fortalecimento do capital social local.Palavras-chave: Turista. Pesquisa que objetiva divulgar os resultados de uma investigação doutoral no qual analisou, dentre outras questões, a principal mudança no perfil do bibliotecário brasileiro e português no âmbito da biblioteca universitária pública. Trata da mudança no perfil do bibliotecário atuante na biblioteca universitária. O tema está diretamente ligado à percepção de novos perfis profissionais e modelos de desempenho na área de Biblioteconomia e Ciência da Informação na atualidade. O embasamento teórico aborda temas como as mudanças paradigmáticas na área da Biblioteconomia e Ciência da Informação, enfatizando principalmente a tensão entre o paradigma custodial, historicista, patrimonialista e tecnicista, que se caracteriza fortemente pela predominância das operações técnicas. E por outro lado o paradigma pós-custodial, informacional e científico, que tem como alicerce, a informação enquanto um fenômeno humano e social. A partir dessa tensão, que forma o alicerce teórico da pesquisa, com foco nas mudanças do perfil do bibliotecário a partir das discussões paradigmáticas, outro tema abordado é a imagem do bibliotecário nesse contexto pós-custodial onde há, como um dos elementos característicos de um novo paradigma, o predomínio das tecnologias digitais no cotidiano das bibliotecas. Discute-se assim, a influência dessas mudanças na formação do perfil do bibliotecário que, inevitavelmente passa a adquirir novas competências e habilidades no desempenho de suas funções enquanto mediador informacional. A pesquisa utilizou o método quadripolar onde se trabalha através de quatro pólos: epistemológico, teórico, técnico e morfológico. Especificamente no pólo técnico utilizou-se como instrumento de coleta de informações a aplicação de questionário on-line enviado por correio eletrônico aos bibliotecários. Para não haver disparidades entre os países, o recorte territorial no caso do Brasil foi necessário, sendo pesquisadas apenas as bibliotecas universitárias da região nordeste do Brasil. No geral participaram da pesquisa doze universidades portuguesas e dez universidades brasileiras, perfazendo um total de 66, 47% de questionários respondidos. Os resultados apontam como importante mudança do perfil do bibliotecário, o dinamismo informacional no acesso e uso da informação. Esse dinamismo representa a disposição em investir na educação continuada, na Literacia Informacional, e em especial, a atualização, adaptação e acesso à informação utilizando as Tecnologias de Informação e Comunicação - TIC. Conclui apontando um equilíbrio entre brasileiros e portugueses em relação ao momento atual e as perspectivas futuras, incluindo a construção de uma autoimagem positiva do profissional.

Coringasuchus anisodontis sp. nov. Holotype: MN 7128 -V (Figs. 3-5), partial right lower jaw (dentary) housed at the Department of Geology and Paleontology of the Museu Nacional/Universidade Federal do Rio de Janeiro. Etymology: The specific name is derived from the Greek anisos (unequal, irregular) and odontos (tooth), in allusion to the odd variation of alveolar morphology that indicates a strongly heterodont dentition in the new taxon. Locality: Laje do Coringa, on the most eastern beach of Cajual Island, Maranhão State, Northeast Brazil, about 25 km west of São Luís. The specimen was found as surface float (UTM coordinates 2070559882 / 9726080). Horizon and age: Alcântara Formation, Itapecuru Group, São Luís Basin, earliest Late Cretaceous (early Cenomanian). Diagnosis: Mesoeucrocodylian with the following combination of characters that distinguish it from other members of this group: strong size variation of dentary teeth; comparatively small anterior rounded alveoli followed by larger elliptical alveoli; main axis of elliptical alveoli directed anterolingually-toposterolabially; some, but not all, alveoli distinctively raised above the level of the dorsal margin of the dentary. Description. The holotype of Coringasuchus anisodontis consists of an incomplete right mandibular ramus. Based on general morphology the preserved part appears to be from close to the posterior end of the mandibular symphysis (Figs. 3–5). The preserved part of the alveolar margin is 29.6 mm long, the maximum preserved height is approximately 23 mm, and the maximum transverse width (at the anterior end) is approximately 10.5 mm. The specimen has a dark brownish color, which is typical of fossils from the Laje do Coringa site. Despite having the margins and teeth broken, there are no signs of deformation that could have altered the shapes of the alveoli. Some parts of the element have been abraded and the external bone surface is slightly damaged, suggesting that this specimen was freed from the matrix and laid exposed as surface float for some time prior to collection, an interpretation supported by the presence of encrusting bivalves (removed from the specimen). Based on the nature of the broken edges, MN 7128 -V was likely more complete before being exposed and broken by wave action. The dentary is the sole bone preserved. The lateral surface (Fig. 3 A–B) is smooth and lacks strong ornamentation. Some occlusal scars, made by the contact of the upper dentition with the lower jaw, are present. At the posterior preserved end the lateral surface is flat or slightly concave and becomes gradually more convex towards the anterior end. Neurovascular foramina are not visible on the lateral surface, which is possibly a taphonomic artefact. The medial surface (Fig. 3 C–D) is gently convex and shows scars (weakly preserved) and fractured areas. The splenial is not preserved and the position of the dentary-splenial suture could not be identified with certainty. Several small neurovascular foramina are found scattered on the medial surface (Fig. 3 D). The occlusal view (Figs. 4–5) provides the most important anatomical information. No complete teeth are preserved, but the position of the alveoli demonstrates that the teeth were located close to the medial margin. At the preserved anterior end, the lateral border is quite broad and slightly concave, indicating that some of the teeth were slightly displaced medially. Five alveoli (four of which contain part of the tooth root in place) are preserved and the remnant of a possible sixth alveolus is also present (Fig. 3). The specimen is broken at the first preserved alveolus, exposing a thin layer of the dentine of the root. The second alveolus is sub-circular (diameter of approximately 4.3 mm) and is raised above the level of the dorsal margin of the dentary. The third alveolus (Fig. 5) is also subcircular (diameter of approximately 3 mm) but much smaller than the more anterior ones. In alveoli two and three a cross-section through the tooth exposes the enamel, dentine and the pulp cavity. The fourth alveolus (Fig. 5), the only one that lacks part of the root, is larger than the preceding ones, and has an elliptical shape with the long axis directed lingually at approximately 60 degrees to the long axis of the dentary. The fifth alveolus is also elliptical and raised above the level of the dorsal margin of the dentary. It is the largest of all those preserved and possesses the same general inclination of its long axis as alveolus four but at a much lower angle (approximately 10 degrees to the long axis of the dentary). The medial portion of the fifth alveolus is broken exposing part of the enamel and dentine of the tooth. The root of this tooth is quite long relative to the height of the lower jaw, a common feature in crocodylomorphs. Objetiva-se analisar o efeito da expansão internacional e regional e gastos em pesquisa e desenvolvimento (P&D) no desempenho de firmas brasileiras, no curto e longo prazo, em períodos de crises econômicas, apoiado na Teoria da Visão Baseada em Recursos (RBV). Este trabalho se desmembra em dois estudos, um que trata da expansão internacional e P&D (Capítulo 2) e outro da expansão regional e P&D (Capítulo 3). Considerou-se uma amostra de 722 empresas listadas na B3 nos anos de 2008 a 2020, dentre estas, empresas com sedes e/ou filiais nas regiões do Triângulo Mineiro, Alto Parnaíba, Sul de Goiás e leste do Mato Grosso do Sul. Adotou-se como medidas de desempenho o ROA e Q de Tobin. Os anos de 2008, 2009 e 2020 foram selecionados como crise externa, e 2015, 2016 e 2020 como crise interna. Acerca da expansão, no primeiro estudo utilizou-se como variáveis de internacionalização o DOI e a exportação; e, para o segundo estudo uma Proxy de regionalização das empresas. Estipulou-se 10 hipóteses em cada estudo e para as análises empregou-se a técnica de regressão linear múltipla. No Capítulo 2 investigou-se as hipóteses de que a internacionalização apresenta efeito positivo no desempenho, no curto (H1) e longo prazos (H2); a P&D apresenta efeito negativo no desempenho no curto (H3) e positivo no longo prazo (H4); a interação da internacionalização e P&D apresentam efeito positivo no desempenho, no curto (H5) e longo prazos (H6); e que períodos de crise afetam a relação entre internacionalização e P&D no desempenho, sendo analisada crise interna no curto (H7) e longo prazos (H8); e a crise externa no curto (H9) e longo prazos (H10). Comprovaram-se H4; H5 e H9 com relação positiva e H8 apresentou relação negativa. Já para o Capítulo 3, foram investigadas hipóteses relativas à regionalidade, propondo que a expansão regional afeta positivamente o desempenho no curto (H1) e longo prazos (H2); a P&D apresenta efeito negativo no desempenho de curto prazo (H3) e positivo no longo prazo (H4); a interação da expansão regional e P&D apresentam efeito positivo no desempenho, no curto (H5) e longo prazos (H6); e que períodos de crise afetam a relação entre expansão regional e P&D no desempenho, sendo analisada crise interna no curto (H7) e longo prazos (H8); e a crise externa no curto (H9) e longo prazos (H10). Confirmou-se apenas H10. O estudo contribui para a literatura ao avaliar os efeitos da expansão e desempenho a partir da RBV, ao propor que as expansões, internacionais ou regionais, aliadas aos gastos em P&D, podem garantir novas estratégias e o aumento das vantagens competitivas para as organizações, assim estes recursos aliados podem gerar um melhor desempenho em períodos de crise. Amplia-se também a discussão sobre a expansão regional o que ainda é pouco explorado na literatura. The purpose is to analyze the effect of international and regional expansion and spending on research and development (R&D) on the performance of Brazilian firms, in the short and long term, in periods of economic crisis, supported by the Resource-Based Vision Theory (RBV). This work is divided into two studies, one dealing with international expansion and R&D (Chapter 2) and the other with regional expansion and R&D (Chapter 3). A sample of 722 companies listed on B3 in the years 2008 to 2020 was considered, among these, companies with headquarters and/or branches in the regions of Triângulo Mineiro, Alto Parnaíba, South of Goiás and eastern Mato Grosso do Sul. The performance measures was ROA and Q of Tobin. The years 2008, 2009 and 2020 were selected as external crisis, and 2015, 2016 and 2020 as internal crisis. Regarding expansion, in the first study, DOI and exports were used as internationalization variables; and, for the second study, a proxy for the regionalization of companies. Ten hypotheses were stipulated in each study and the multiple linear regression technique was used for the analyses. In Chapter 2, we investigated the hypotheses that internationalization has a positive effect on performance, in the short (H1) and long term (H2); R&D has a negative effect on performance in the short term (H3) and positive in the long term (H4); the interaction of internationalization and R&D has a positive effect on performance, in the short (H5) and long term (H6); and periods of crisis affect the relationship between internationalization and R&D in performance, being analyzed internal crisis in the short (H7) and long term (H8); and the external crisis in the short (H9) and long term (H10). H4 was confirmed; H5 and H9 with a positive relationship and H8 showed a negative relationship. As for Chapter 3, hypotheses related to regionality were investigated, proposing that regional expansion positively affects performance in the short (H1) and long term (H2); R&D has a negative effect on short-term performance (H3) and a positive effect on the long-term (H4); the interaction of regional expansion and R&D has a positive effect on performance, in the short (H5) and long term (H6); and which periods of crisis affect the relationship between regional expansion and R&D in performance, being analyzed internal crisis in the short (H7) and long term (H8); and the external crisis in the short (H9) and long term (H10). Only H10 was confirmed. The study contributes to the literature by evaluating the effects of expansion and performance from the RBV, by proposing that international or regional expansions, combined with R&D expenditures, can guarantee new strategies and competitive advantages for organizations, as these allied resources can generate better performance in times of crisis. Fundação de Amparo a Pesquisa do Estado de Minas Gerais The anatomy root canal interferences impose the necessity during endodontic treatment of change in professional perception and clinical maneuvers to try to overcome them. The aim of this study was to evaluate the anatomic interference of root canal in endodontic instrumentation, considering for this: (1) the presence of critical instrumentation zone (CIZ), (2) the influence of flexion angles of files, (3) the identifying of anatomical points on the planning of anticurvature filing in molar teeth. Forty-five mandibular incisors were instrumented with rotatory files (Protaper). Thirty were analyzed before and after chemical mechanical preparation, for determining and quantifying the CIZ area, by means of digital periapical radiographs in two incidences (bucco-lingual and mesio-distal) and cross sections obtained by micro-computed tomographic (μCT). The other fifteen samples were analyzed before and after preparation to evaluate the influence of the files bending angle, also using two views radiographs (BL and MD) and μCT cross sections. The radiographs were analyzed using Image J software and microtomographys using μCT software. Two hundred digital periapical radiographs were used to evaluate the influence of the anatomy in the planning of anticurvature filing in mesiobuccal roots of maxillary molars and mesial of mandibular molars. In this moment, the analysis was performed using Excel 2007 and ImageJ software. The CIZ results showed differences in morphology and root canal area when compared with radiographs in BL incidence and MD incidence. The CIZ was verified after buccal and lingual walls instrumentation, in mesio-distal radiographs and in cross sections. In respect of flexion angles of files, it was observed a decrease after instrumentation in both radiograph views. While in the cross-sections were observed at BL way deviation of file in the original canal path between 23.08 to 100% of cases and at MD way only in 7.69%. The highest values of dentin removal the root canal wall were observed in the MD direction of the tooth. Seeks to highlight in the list of market interests the worker is expropriated of its knowledge, the work remains fragmented and parceled within the company and the implementation of new forms of control aims to increasingly dominate the worker. From this perspective, the research seeks to analyze relevant points of the new model of state administration, which is characterized as manager from the 1995 reform, ie, a state that administers following the logic of the market, seeking control of the results and reproducing the precept the neoliberal organization that prevails in the current political, social and economic scene. The research demonstrates how the assessments of student performance reflect the work of teachers in the early elementary school years at two schools in the public education at Araguari, Minas Gerais, what is the perception of teachers working in these schools on these external assessments that comprise the Ideb, and are aimed at the schools, with the objetctive of controlling the results and productivity of teachers, by placing under questioning the consequences of this process for the teacher and the ratio of the loss of autonomy that professional. From the bibliographic references and selected readings performed, the text establishes a dialogue with key authors on the external control suffered by the teacher and understands that teaching autonomy has undergone changes brought about by the dominant production system. Finally, the results of the data collection confirm that the teachers of the studied schools enjoy a supervised, conditioned and obedient autonomy. A pesquisa apresenta algumas reflexões sobre o mundo do trabalho e as atuais transformações na sua organização, tendo como recorte a discussão sobre controle gerencial presente nos modelos de produção taylorismo/fordismo e toyotismo e a sua origem no sistema capitalista. Procura evidenciar que no rol de interesses mercadológicos o trabalhador acaba sendo expropriado do seu conhecimento, o trabalho permanece fragmentado e parcelado dentro da empresa e a implantação de novas formas de controle tem como objetivo dominar cada vez mais o trabalhador. Nessa perspectiva, busca analisar pontos relevantes do novo modelo de administração do Estado que se caracteriza como gerenciador, a partir da reforma de 1995, ou seja, um Estado que administra seguindo a lógica do mercado, buscando o controle dos resultados e reproduzindo o preceito da organização neoliberal que prevalece no atual cenário político, econômico e social. Busca verificar como as avaliações de desempenho discente refletem no trabalho dos professores dos anos iniciais do ensino fundamental de duas escolas da rede pública de educação de Araguari, Minas Gerais, qual a percepção dos trabalhadores docentes dessas escolas sobre essas avaliações externas que compõe o Índice de Desenvolvimento da Educação Básica (Ideb), e são destinadas às escolas, com o objetivo de controlar os resultados e a produtividade do trabalhador docente, colocando sob questionamento as consequências desse processo para o professor e a relação da perda de autonomia desse profissional. A partir do referencial bibliográfico selecionado e das leituras realizadas o texto estabelece um diálogo com importantes autores, acerca do controle externo sofrido pelo professor e entende que a autonomia docente vem sofrendo mudanças ocasionadas pelo sistema dominante de produção. CAPES - Coordenação de Aperfeiçoamento de Pessoal de Nível Superior CNPq - Conselho Nacional de Desenvolvimento Científico e Tecnológico FAPEMIG - Fundação de Amparo a Pesquisa do Estado de Minas Gerais Desde o surgimento do primeiro cimento à base de silicato de cálcio, vários outros têm sido lançados no mercado, alguns na forma de pó e líquido e outros prontos pra uso. Não se sabe ainda como é a atuação desse material em diferentes tipos celulares encontrados na região periapical e as dificuldades que podem ser encontradas durante a limpeza das paredes dentinárias na desobturação para cimentação de pino de fibra. Ou mesmo se podem ocorrer alterações na composição dos cimentos e suas propriedades, devido ao uso de soluções irrigadoras para remoção de resíduos remanescentes destes cimentos. Portanto, este trabalho envolveu cinco objetivos específicos in vitro. Objetivo 1: avaliar a citotoxicidade e liberação de citocinas após a exposição de monócitos e polimorfonucleares de cultura primária humana frente a diferentes cimentos endodônticos frescos (Sealer 26, AH Plus e EndoSequence BC Sealer). Foi avaliada apoptose e necrose por citometria de fluxo e dosagem de citocinas (IL-4, IL-6, IL-8, IL-10, IL-12) por ELISA. Foi demonstrado que o efeito dos agentes tóxicos liberados variou dependendo do tipo celular e que a composição dos cimentos parece alterar a forma de auto-regulação na produção dessas citocinas pelas células. Objetivo 2: avaliar as propriedades físico-químicas e biológicas de cimentos à base de silicato de cálcio prontos pra uso (EndoSequence BC Sealer [END], Bio-C Sealer [BC] e Sealer Plus BC [SPBC]), utilizando cultura primária de osteoclastos. A citotoxicidade foi avaliada por meio do teste de MTT e a inibição da osteoclastogênese por meio do TRAP. A solubilidade dos cimentos foi testada pelo cálculo da perda de massa em meio de cultura e água deionizada. O pH das soluções foi mensurado, assim como a presença de íons cálcio e silício por meio de espectroscopia de fluorescência de raios-x (XRF). END mostrou maior viabilidade celular em relação aos demais cimentos e BC mostrou maior inibição de osteoclastos. Todos os cimentos revelaram alta solubilidade, maior do que a recomendada pelos padrões da Organização Internacional de Normalização (ISO). A presença de íons silício foi extremamente baixa para todos os cimentos. Objetivo 3: avaliar a citotoxicidade, adesão celular e as características químicas dos cimentos à base de silicato de cálcio (BioRoot RCS [BR], Bio-C Sealer [BC] e Sealer Plus BC [SPBC]), utilizando células RAW264.7. A citotoxicidade foi avaliada por meio do teste de MTT e discos dos cimentos foram usados para avaliar a adesão celular, além da caracterização química com XRF, microscopia eletrônica de varredura (MEV) e espectroscopia por energia dispersiva de raios-x (EDX). A composição dos cimentos frescos e após a presa também foi avaliada utilizando a espectroscopia infravermelha transformada de Fourier (FTIR). SPBC revelou a menor viabilidade celular em relação aos demais cimentos. Comparando os grupos experimentais com o grupo controle, a diluição de 1:1 mostrou uma significativa redução na viabilidade para todos os materiais. BC e SPBC apresentaram espectros parecidos em FTIR. EDX demonstrou maior presença de cálcio para BR e SPBC, com presença de alumínio nos cimentos prontos pra uso. XRF também mostrou quantidade de cálcio significativamente maior para BR em relação aos outros cimentos. Precipitados foram encontrados na superfície de todos os materiais. BR apresentou maior grau de pureza e quantidade de cálcio, enquanto BC e SPBC revelaram composição similar. Todos os cimentos mantiveram a viabilidade acima de 70%. Objetivo 4: avaliar se soluções (NaOCl e NaOCl+EDTA) e suas ativações (manual, irrigação ultrassônica passiva e com ponta Easy Clean) são capazes de promover a limpeza das paredes dentinárias após desobturação do canal, onde foi utilizado cimento MTA Fillapex, por meio de microtomografia computadorizada (micro-CT); e se estes protocolos de limpeza são capazes de alterar a microdureza da dentina, avaliada por indentação Knoop. Este objetivo mostrou que a ponta Easy Clean removeu mais debris no interior do canal após a desobturação e que o terço cervical foi o que apresentou maior limpeza. Além disso, a solução NaOCl+EDTA teve maior eficácia de limpeza, independente do método de ativação. Nenhum protocolo de limpeza foi capaz de alterar a microdureza dentinária. Objetivo 5: avaliar se protocolos de limpeza usando soluções (NaOCl e NaOCl+EDTA) e a irrigação ultrassônica passiva, alteram a composição de cimentos à base de silicato de cálcio (EndoSequence BC Sealer, BioRoot RCS e Bio-C Sealer) frescos e após a presa em um canal radicular desobturado, por meio de um dispositivo que foi criado para a simulação. A composição dos cimentos após os protocolos de limpeza foi avaliada usando espectroscopia Raman e EDX. Foi observado que independente dos protocolos, a limpeza dos remanescentes em canal desobturado para instalação de pino de fibra de vidro deve ser preconizada somente após a presa do cimento biocerâmico. Pode-se concluir a partir dos objetivos apresentados, que os novos cimentos endodônticos à base de silicato de cálcio apresentam propriedades físico-químicas adequadas, com exceção da solubilidade. Em relação às propriedades biológicas, comportam-se de formas variadas frente a diferentes tipos celulares presentes na região periapical. Além disso, diante da necessidade de reabilitação com pino de fibra de vidro posteriormente a obturação com essa classe de material, os protocolos de limpeza empregados mostraram eficácia, sem causar alterações na composição dos cimentos à base de silicato de cálcio e que a ponta Easy Clean promove melhor limpeza dos remanescentes aderidos às paredes dentinárias. Since the appearance of the first calcium silicate-based sealer, several others sealers have been launched on the market, some in powder and liquid form and others ready-for-use. It is not yet known how is the performance of this material in different cell types found in the periapical region and the difficulties that may be discovered during the cleaning of the dentinal walls in post space for fiber post cementation. Or even if may occur changes in the composition of the sealers and their properties, due to the use of irrigating solutions to remove the remaining residues of these sealers. Therefore, the present study involved five specific in vitro objectives. Objective 1: to evaluate the cytotoxicity and cytokine release after exposure of monocytes and polymorphonuclears cells obtained from the peripheral blood of humans to different fresh root canal sealers (Sealer 26, AH Plus and EndoSequence BC Sealer). Apoptosis and necrosis was assessed by flow cytometry and cytokine measurement (IL-4, IL-6, IL-8, IL-10, IL-12) by ELISA. It was demonstrated that the effect of toxic agents released varied depending on the cell type and that the composition of the sealers appeared to alter the form of self-regulation in the production of these cytokines by cells. Objective 2: to evaluate the physicochemical and biological properties of ready-to-use calcium silicate-based sealers (EndoSequence BC Sealer [END], Bio-C Sealer [BC] and Sealer Plus BC [SPBC]), using osteoclast primary culture. The cytotoxicity was assessed using the MTT test and the inhibition of osteoclastogenesis by TRAP. The solubility of the sealers was tested by calculating the mass loss in culture medium and deionized water. The pH of the solutions was measured, as well as the presence of calcium and silicon ions by X-ray fluorescence spectroscopy (XRF). END showed greater cell viability compared to other sealers and BC showed greater inhibition of osteoclasts. All sealers showed high solubility, greater than that recommended by the standards of the International Organization for Standardization (ISO). The presence of silicon ions was extremely low for all sealers. Objective 3: to evaluate the cytotoxicity, cell adhesion and chemical characteristics of calcium silicate-based sealers (BioRoot RCS [BR], Bio-C Sealer [BC] and Sealer Plus BC [SPBC]), using RAW264.7 cells. The cytotoxicity was assessed by MTT test and sealer discs were used to evaluate cell adhesion, beyond to chemical characterization with XRF, scanning electron microscopy (SEM) and energy dispersive X-ray spectroscopy (EDX). The composition of unset sealers and after setting was also evaluated by Fourier-transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR). SPBC revealed the lowest cell viability compared to the other sealers. Comparing the experimental groups with the control group, the 1: 1 dilution showed a reduction significant in viability for all materials. BC and SPBC presented similar spectra in FTIR. EDX demonstrated a greater presence of calcium for BR and SPBC, with the presence of aluminum in ready-to-use sealers. XRF also showed an amount of calcium significantly higher for BR compared to other sealers. Precipitates were found on the surface of all materials. BR showed the greatest degree of purity and the highest calcium content, while BC and SPBC presented similar compositions. All the sealers maintained viability above 70%. Objective 4: to evaluate whether solutions (NaOCl and NaOCl+EDTA) and their activations (manual, passive ultrasonic irrigation and Easy Clean tip) are able to promote the cleaning of the dentinal walls after post space preparation, where MTA Fillapex sealer was used, by microcomputed tomography (micro-CT); and whether these cleaning protocols are capable to change the dentin microhardness, assessed by Knoop indentation. This objective showed that the Easy Clean tip removed more debris inside the root canal after post space and that the cervical third presented the greatest cleanliness. In addition, the NaOCl+EDTA solution was more effective in cleaning, regardless of the activation method. No cleaning protocol was able to modify the dentin microhardness. Objective 5: to evaluate whether cleaning protocols using solutions (NaOCl and NaOCl+EDTA) and passive ultrasonic irrigation, change the composition of calcium silicate-based sealers (EndoSequence BC Sealer, BioRoot RCS and Bio-C Sealer) fresh and after setting in a post space root canal, using a device that was created for the simulation. The composition of the sealers after the cleaning protocols was evaluated using Raman and EDX spectroscopy. It was observed that regardless of the protocols, the cleaning of the remnants in a post space root canal for installing a fiberglass post should be recommended only after setting of the bioceramic sealer. It can be concluded from the presented objectives, the new calcium silicate-based endodontic sealers showed adequate physico-chemical properties, except for solubility. Regarding the biological properties, behave in different ways in face of different cell types present in the periapical region. In addition, in the face of need for rehabilitation with a fiberglass post posteriorly the filling with this type of material, the cleaning protocols used showed effectiveness, without causing changes in the composition of calcium silicate-based sealers and that the Easy Clean tip promotes better cleaning of the remnants adhered to the dentinal walls. FAPEMIG - Fundação de Amparo a Pesquisa do Estado de Minas Gerais O objetivo da presente pesquisa foi verificar os impactos causados pela divulgação de notícias sobre o possível envolvimento em corrupção de empresas abertas na gestão dos Fundos de Investimento em Ações (FIA's). Foram utilizados dados financeiros das empresas de capital aberto e dos FIA'a registrados na CVM, coletados na base “Economática” e no site da B3, com as observações no período entre 2012 e 2019. Foram utilizados dados secundários no que tange a coleta de notícias que divulgaram o possível envolvimento em corrupção das empresas. Para tanto, a pesquisa foi dividida em dois estudos. O primeiro estudo buscou analisar os efeitos da divulgação dessas notícias na alocação de recursos e rotatividade das carteiras dos FIA's, bem como avaliar o impacto da regionalidade na alocação dos Fundos, verificando se existe alguma relação desses efeitos com a região do Triângulo Mineiro/Alto Paranaíba, devido ao seu destaque econômico nos anos recentes. Utilizou-se regressão linear com dados empilhados (efeitos aleatórios) e regressão tobit, e foi encontrado que, em média, os FIA's investem menos recursos em empresas que tiveram divulgação de notícias relacionadas a corrupção, que reduzem o porcentual de suas carteiras alocado em empresas com esse tipo de publicidade, e FIA's com pelo menos uma empresa no portfólio com divulgação de notícias relacionadas apresentaram maior rotatividade na carteira. Ademais, foi observado que, no período analisado, os FIA's preferiram diminuir a quantidade de recursos alocados em empresas com alguma relação com a região do Triângulo Mineiro/Alto Paranaíba. O estudo contribuiu para um melhor entendimento do comportamento destes agentes no que tange à divulgação de notícias de possível envolvimento em corrupção das empresas, e pode ser usado tanto por pessoas físicas e jurídicas, no sentido de avaliarem como os FIA's se comportam e se irão adotar comportamento similar ou não. O segundo estudo teve como objetivo avaliar se o desempenho dos FIA's foi prejudicado pela divulgação de notícias de possível envolvimento em corrupção das empresas nas quais o Fundo investe. Foi utilizada regressão linear com dados em painel (pooled e efeitos aleatórios), e os resultados indicaram que FIA's que possuem empresas com esse tipo de divulgação têm seu desempenho prejudicado. O segundo estudo contribuiu para que outros tipos de investidores (pessoas físicas, órgãos públicos, entre outros) avaliem o impacto dos eventos supracitados nos ativos, e como isso pode interferir nos seus investimentos. De maneira geral, esta pesquisa, como um todo, visa contribuir para a literatura relacionada ao tema, abordando como os FIA's reagem a notícias de corrupção das empresas e também contribui para que empresas e gestores avaliem seus investimentos, cientes do impacto desse tipo de divulgação nos seus investimentos. This work sought to verify the impacts caused by the divulgation of possible involvement in corruption of companies in the management of Stock's Investment Funds. Financial data from publicy traded companies and Stock's Investments Funds registered at the CVM were used, collected on the Economática database and B3 website, with observations between 2012 and 2019. Secondary data were used in relation to data collected of the news that publicize possible involvement in corporate corruption. The first work sought to analyze the effects of this possible involvement in the allocation of resources and turnover of Stock's Investment Funds portfolios, as well to assess the impact of Funds allocation in firms located in Triângulo Mineiro/Alto Paranaíba, due to the economic growth in recent years. Linear regression with painel data was used (random effect), and also tobit regression. Results showed, on average, Stock's Investment Funds invest less resources in companies that have had news related to corruption, reduce the percentage of their portfolios allocated to companies possibly involved in corruption, and Stock's Investment Funds with at least one company in the portfolio with news of possible involvement in corruption showed a higher turnover portfolio. In the period, the Stock's Investment Funds preferred to reduce the amount of resources allocated in companies with some relationship with Triângulo Mineiro/Alto Paranaíba regions. The second article aimed to assess if the Stock's Investment Funds performance's is damaged by the propagation of possible involvement in cases of corruption by the companies. Pooled and random effect OLS were used, and the work identified that Stock's Investment Funds wich have companies in their portfolio with news of possibly involvement in corruption's cases have their performance damaged. The study contributed to the literature related to the topic approaching how Stock's Investment Funds react to corporate corruption news and also helps companies and managers to evaluated their investments, aware of the impacts on the possible involvement of their assets in illicit activities. In addition, the present work also helps other types of investors (individuals, public agencies, among others) to analyze the impact of propagation of possible involvement is asset corruption, and how it can interfere in their investments. A presente investigação científica, vinculada à linha de pesquisa Mídias, Educação e Comunicação (MEC) do Programa de Pós Graduação em Tecnologias, Comunicação e Educação (PPGCE) da Faculdade de Educação (FACED) da Universidade Federal de Uberlândia (UFU), apresenta um recorte entre o processo educativo e sua relação com as metodologias ativas de aprendizagem e as novas tecnologias digitais.O objetivo principal é conhecer e descrever os saberes docentes dos professores formados e atuantes nos cursos superiores de Administração, da modalidade presencial, de duas instituições de ensino, sendo uma pública e uma particular, da cidade de Uberlândia/MG, frente as metodologias ativas de aprendizagem e novas tecnologias digitais aplicadas por eles em suas aulas. Em complemento, os objetivos específicos estão alinhados em entender as aproximações existentes entre as metodologias ativas com as tecnologias digitais e elaborar proposta de produto educacional que proporcione um ponto de encontro online de informações relevantes sobre o assunto. Para sua realização, a investigação científica inicia o diálogo teórico ao aprofundar conceitualmente, por meio da pesquisa bibliográfica e documental, os ideais de FREIRE (1996), MORAN (2007), MORAN; MASETTO; BEHRENS (2010), LAVAL (2004), SODRÉ (2012), ANTUNES; PINTO (2017), KENSKI (2012), GÓMEZ (2015), CAMARGO; DAROS (2018), BACICH; MORAN (2018) e outros autores, que se referem sobre os impactos no processo educativo resultantes da evolução tecnológica, econômica e social. Desse modo, a investigação prossegue com a coleta de dados através de questionários estruturados na abordagem quali-quantitativa, dividido em dois grandes blocos, sendo o primeiro correspondente às metodologias ativas e às novas tecnologias e o segundo referente ao perfil docente. Posteriormente, os resultados obtidos em campo são tabulados e analisados, evidenciando os contrastes existentes entre a teoria e a prática dos participantes da pesquisa. Por fim, a investigação apresenta a proposta de produto educacional que viabiliza um ponto para encontro online de informações relevantes sobre esta temática. The present scientific investigation, linked to the research line Media, Education and Communication (MEC) of the Postgraduate Program in Technologies, Communication and Education (PPGCE) of the Faculty of Education (FACED) of the Federal University of Uberlândia (UFU), presents a cut between the educational process and its relationship with active learning methodologies and new digital technologies. The main objective is to know and describe the teaching knowledge of teachers trained and working in higher education courses, on-site, from two educational institutions , being a public and a private one, from the city of Uberlândia / MG, facing the active learning methodologies and new digital technologies applied by them in their classes. In addition, the specific objectives are in line with existing approaches between active learning methodologies with digital technologies and the proposed elaboration of an educational product that provides an online meeting point for relevant information on the subject. For its realization, a scientific investigation, initiates the theoretical dialogue by deepening conceptually, through bibliographical and documentary research, the ideals of FREIRE (1996), MORAN (2007), MORAN; MASETTO; BEHRENS (2010), LAVAL (2004), SODRÉ (2012), ANTUNES; PINTO (2017), KENSKI (2012), GÓMEZ (2015), CAMARGO; DAROS (2018), BACICH; MORAN (2018) and other authors, who are dedicated to the impacts on the educational process of technological, economic and social evolution. In this way, the investigation continues with the collection of data through questionnaires structured in the qualitative and quantitative approach, divided into two large blocks, the first corresponding to the active methodologies and the new technologies and the second referring to the teaching profile. Subsequently, the results obtained in the field are tabulated and promoted, showing the contrasts between the theory and practice of the research participants. Pesquisa sem auxílio de agências de fomento A condução e a execução de todas as etapas do tratamento endodôntico devem ser criteriosas e estão diretamente relacionadas à realização de um diagnóstico correto. O objetivo deste trabalho foi verificar os fatores que influenciam no diagnóstico endodôntico e/ou no desenvolvimento álgico intra/pós-operatório e no sucesso do tratamento endodôntico. Capítulo 1. Acurácia do teste de sensibilidade da polpa dentária por spray a frio para o diagnóstico de doenças pulpares: estudo clínico observacional. Foi avaliada a acurácia do teste de sensibilidade pulpar (TSP) utilizando spray frio (1,1,1,2-tetrafluoroetano) no diagnóstico de doenças pulpares e o efeito de variáveis individuais e clínicas na confiabilidade do teste. Sessenta pacientes com indicação de tratamento endodôntico primário foram selecionados e examinados por meio de entrevista, exame clinicorradiográfico e TSP, entre agosto de 2017 a julho de 2018. Concluiu-se que o TSP com spray frio é um método de diagnóstico preciso e confiável, principalmente nos casos de pulpite irreversível. Capítulo 2. Influência da cinemática de glide path durante o tratamento endodôntico na ocorrência e intensidade da dor intra e pós-operatória: uma revisão sistemática de ensaios clínicos randomizados. A revisão sistemática seguiu as recomendações PRISMA e foi registrada no PROSPERO (CRD42020139989). A variabilidade entre os estudos quanto aos protocolos de tratamento e seleção dos pacientes inviabilizou a realização da metanálise. Concluiu-se que a cinemática do glide path pode influenciar na ocorrência e intensidade da dor intra e pós-operatória. Capítulo 3. Resultado do tratamento de molares jovens obstruídos por instrumentos endodônticos fraturados: relato de dois casos. Insertos ultrassônicos ou limas XP-Clean representam estratégias para melhorar a limpeza e desinfecção dos canais radiculares, mas não estão livre da possibilidade de fratura. Duas pacientes do sexo feminino, de 14 anos, foram submetidas a tratamento de canal dos dentes 37 (caso 1) e 47 (caso 2). Durante os protocolos finais de irrigação, o caso 1 apresentou uma lima XP-Clean fraturada dentro do canal mesiovestibular e dentro do canal distal no caso 2, que também apresentava pontas E1-Irrisonic fraturadas nos canais mesiovestibular e distal. O manejo não cirúrgico e o desvio dos fragmentos retidos foram bem-sucedidos em ambos os casos e podem ser considerados abordagens adequadas, permitindo preservar os dentes. Capítulo 4. Abordagem interdisciplinar em molares de pacientes jovens, o desafio para evitar a extração prematura: relato de casos. Dois pacientes do sexo masculino, 14 e 17 anos, foram atendidos no projeto de extensão voltado para o tratamento endodôntico reabilitador de crianças e adolescentes de 8 a 18 anos. A limpeza e desinfecção dos dentes 46 e 36 foram realizadas com sistema automatizado TF Adaptive e completadas com limas XP Endo Finisher e irrigação final com pontas de ultrassom. Após 14 dias de curativo de demora com hidróxido de cálcio, os canais foram obturados e os dentes restaurados com restauração direta em resina composta bulk-fill. Reparo ósseo periapical e ausência de sinais e sintomas foram observados após 6 meses e 1 ano. The conduct and execution of all stages of endodontic treatment must be judicious and are directly related to making a correct diagnosis. The objective of this work was to verify the factors that influence the endodontic diagnosis and/or the intra/postoperative pain development and the success of the endodontic treatment. Chapter 1. Accuracy of dental pulp sensitivity test by cold spray for the diagnosis of pulp diseases: observational clinical study. The accuracy of the pulp sensitivity test (PST) using cold spray (1,1,1,2-tetrafluoroethane) was assessed in the diagnosis of pulp diseases and the effect of individual and clinical variables on the test's reliability. Sixty patients with indication for primary endodontic treatment were selected and examined by means of interview, clinic and radiographic examination and PST, between August 2017 and July 2018. It was concluded that PST with cold spray is an accurate and reliable diagnostic method, mainly in cases of irreversible pulpitis. Chapter 2. Influence of glide path kinematics during endodontic treatment on the occurrence and intensity of intra and postoperative pain: a systematic review of randomized clinical trials. The systematic review followed the PRISMA recommendations and was registered with PROSPERO (CRD42020139989). The variability between studies regarding treatment protocols and patient selection made the meta-analysis unfeasible. It was concluded that the glide path kinematics can influence the occurrence and intensity of intra and postoperative pain. Chapter 3. Result of the treatment of young molars obstructed by fractured endodontic instruments: report of two cases. Ultrasonic inserts or XP-Clean files represent strategies to improve the cleaning and disinfection of the root canals, but they are not free from the possibility of fracture. Two 14-year-old female patients underwent root canal treatment of tooth 37 (case 1) and 47 (case 2). During the final irrigation protocols, case 1 presented a fractured XP-Clean file within the mesiovestibular canal and within the distal canal in case 2, which also had a fractured E1-Irrisonic tip in the mesiovestibular and distal canals. Non-surgical management and bypassing retained instrument fragments were successful in both cases and they may be considered adequate approaches, allowing teeth to be preserved. Chapter 4. Interdisciplinary approach in molars of young patients, the challenge to avoid premature extraction: case reports. Two male patients, 14 and 17 years old, were assisted in an extension project aimed at rehabilitating endodontic treatment of children and adolescents aged 8 to 18 years. Teeth 46 and 36 were cleaned and disinfected using the TF Adaptive automated system and completed with XP Endo Finisher files and final irrigation with ultrasound tips. After 14 days of intracanal medication with calcium hydroxide, the canals were obturated and the teeth were restored with bulk-fill composite resin by direct technique. A proposta para o curso de formação continuada de professores que ensinam Matemática nos anos iniciais, oferecido pelo PNAIC, em 2014, apresenta, por meio dos Cadernos de Formação, encaminhamentos metodológicos com vistas a colaborar para a prática docente e, consequentemente, para a apropriação dos conhecimentos matemáticos pelos alunos do ciclo de alfabetização. Nesse sentido, a presente pesquisa, vinculada à linha Educação em Ciências e Matemática, pretendeu, principalmente, estudar, analisar, compreender e descrever como os saberes metodológicos sobre o ensino de Matemática referentes à Resolução de Problemas, à História da Matemática, às Tecnologias da Informação e Comunicação e aos Jogos foram abordados pelo PNAIC, no ano de 2014, e estabelecer relações dessas abordagens com os estudos de diferentes autores que estudam a temática. Para realizar esse estudo e atingir os objetivos propostos, optou-se pela pesquisa com abordagem qualitativa do tipo bibliográfica, para qual foram utilizados, como fonte de pesquisa, documentos oficiais, artigos de cunho científico, livros, dissertações de Mestrado e teses de Doutorado, para subsidiar tanto aspectos teóricos da temática estudada quanto condições para a análise, visando responder o problema da pesquisa. Constatou-se que, apesar dos cadernos de formação abordarem as quatro alternativas metodológicas, a ênfase se deu na Resolução de Problemas e nos Jogos. Concluiu-se também que o trabalho com a Resolução e Problemas e Jogos se aproxima das propostas dos estudiosos da área, considerados no presente estudo, entretanto, interpretou-se que há distanciamentos na História da Matemática e também nas Tecnologias da Informação e Comunicação. The proposal for the course of continuous training for Mathematics teachers of the initial years of elementary school, offered by the PNAIC (National Pact for the Literacy at the Right Age), in 2014, presents, through the “Cadernos de Formação” (Training Booklets), methodological frameworks aiming at collaborating with the teaching practice and, consequently, with the appropriation of the mathematical knowledge by the students at the literacy stage. In this regard, this research, linked to the field of Education in Sciences and Mathematics, intended, mainly, to study, analyze, understand and describe how the methodological knowledge about Mathematics teaching regarding Problem Solving, the History of Mathematics; the Information and Communication Technologies and the Games were approached by the PNAIC, in 2014, and establish relations of these approaches with the studies of different authors who study this theme. To perform this study and achieve the intended objectives, we chose a bibliographical research with a qualitative approach, for which we used, as research sources, official documents, scientific articles, books, Master’s dissertations and Doctoral thesis, in order to subsidize both the theoretical aspects of the theme being studied and the conditions of the analysis, seeking to address the research question. We found that, despite the fact that the “Training Booklets” address the four methodological alternatives, the emphasis is upon Problem Solving and Games. We also concluded that the work with Problem Solving and Games are close to the proposals by the scholars in the field considered in this study, however, there are detachments regarding the History of Mathematics and also regarding the Information and Communication Technologies. Esta pesquisa exploratória e bibliográfica foi realizada a partir da seleção e análise de 5 teses e 15 dissertações que abordam a formação de professores para atuar na alfabetização no Triângulo Mineiro e Alto Paranaíba no período de 1946 a 1979. Buscou-se, nos menores indícios, analisar a formação de professoras da Escola Normal e do Magistério e a relação entre a feminização e o exercício do magistério. Foram escolhidas como categoria de análise a formação de professores alfabetizadores, a feminização do magistério e a influência da igreja na formação das alfabetizadoras. Para o desenvolvimento deste estudo utilizou-se como embasamento teórico-metodológico a Nova História Cultural, utilizando os trabalhos de mestrado e doutorado como fonte e objeto para a construção da pesquisa. Dentro dessa concepção historiográfica, compreendemos que analisar a formação de professoras alfabetizadoras se faz necessário a partir da investigação a respeito da cultura, representação e imaginário, pois os indivíduos dão sentido ao mundo por meio dessa representação. Neste contexto teórico, após a análise dos trabalhos selecionados, percebe-se a relevância deste trabalho que se estabelece como um estudo que irá contribuir com uma discussão a respeito da presença marcante das mulheres nas salas de alfabetização no período de 1946 a 1979 no sentido de elucidar também o papel da Igreja Católica na formação da professora primária e dos pretestos que direcionavam as mulheres para o magistério. A partir da análise das pesquisas evidenciamos que a escolha pelo magistério não foi motivada por um desejo, um dom ou um sonho em ser professora. As normalistas foram direcionadas para esta profissão em decorrência de elementos como: o desejo familiar, a falta de condições financeiras e uma imposição moral a partir dos valores cristãos divulgados pela Igreja Católica que associavam a paciência, a doçura, a maternidade, o respeito aos princípios católicos com o imaginário da alfabetizadora. This exploratory and bibliographic research was realized from the selection and analysis of 5 thesis and 15 dissertations that discuss the female teacher’s formation to act in literacy at Triângulo Mineiro and Alto Paranaíba, in the period of 1946 to 1979. We pursued, in the minors indications, analyze the formation of female teachers of Normal School and Teaching, and the relation between the feminization and the teaching profession. Formation of literacy teachers, the feminization of teaching and the influence of church in the formation of female literacy, were chosen as evaluation category. We used as theoretical methodological basis for the development of the study, the New Cultural History, using the dissertations and thesis as source and object to construct the study. Inside this historiographic conception, we realized that analyze the formation of female literacy is necessary from the investigation about the culture, representation and imaginary, so the individuals give sense to the world through this representation. In this theoretical context, after the analyzes of the selected works, we detected the importance of this work which set itself as a study which will contribute with a discussion about the strong presence of women in literacy classrooms in the period of 1946 to 1979 in the sense of elucidate also the role of Catholic Church in the formation of primary school teachers and pretexts that directed the women to the teaching. From the analyzes of the researches we evinced that the chosen for the teaching wasn’t justified from a desire, a gift or a dream in becoming a teacher. The female students were directed to the profession because of elements as: family desire, lack of financial conditions and moral order from the Christian values released by the Catholic Church, which associated the patience, the sweetness, the maternity, the respect to the catholic values with the imaginary of the female literacy. No Brasil, os Programas de Pós-Graduação stricto sensu são avaliados pela Coordenação de Aperfeiçoamento de Pessoal de Nível Superior - CAPES. Dados dessa instituição mostram que, no Brasil, vários Programas de Pós-Graduação stricto sensu conseguem melhorar o seu desempenho ao longo dos anos, enquanto outros permanecem estagnados ou encerram suas atividades. No intuito de entender essa dinâmica, esta pesquisa descreve e analisa as ações e rotinas administrativas que se consubstanciaram no planejamento e no desempenho do Programa de Pós-graduação em Ecologia e Conservação de Recursos Naturais (ECRN) da Universidade Federal de Uberlândia (UFU), a partir das diretrizes da Capes, partindo desde a avaliação da proposta de implantação, ocorrida em 1999, até o ano de 2016. O Programa foi escolhido por ter melhorado seu desempenho desde sua criação, sendo uma referência para o levantamento das ações e rotinas administrativas adotadas pelo curso que podem ter contribuído para esse fato. Buscou-se aporte teórico nas teorias de planejamento e, principalmente, na teoria da estratégia como prática. A pesquisa caracteriza-se como estudo de caso com pesquisa-ação, por meio da qual foram levantados dados a partir de observação direta do pesquisador, consultas a documentos do Programa da CAPES e da UFU e de entrevistas não-estruturadas. Para a análise, empregaram-se métodos quantitativos e qualitativos com a triangulação dos dados a partir das dimensões de análise que seguiram os parâmetros de avaliação da CAPES: Proposta do Programa; Corpo Docente; Corpo Discente, Teses e Dissertações; Produção Intelectual e Inserção Social. Os resultados apontam que o ECRN iniciou suas atividades no ano de 1999, com o conceito três (3), passando, em 13 anos de atividade (1999 a 2012), por cinco avaliações trienais, tendo obtido, na última avaliação da CAPES, o conceito seis (6). Foi possível visualizar uma efetiva ação dos recursos humanos caracterizada pela adoção de comportamento a ações objetivas em direção a um patamar de excelência e referência na área de Biodiversidade. E, ainda, observou-se a adoção de práticas rotineiras que levaram ao surgimento de estratégias de acompanhamento, adequação, atualização e realização de metas. Esses achados estão alinhados com a teoria da estratégia como prática. A partir do caso estudado, foi possível a criação de um produto tecnológico, bem como a criação de um checklist com as ações e rotinas administrativas, que foram fundamentais para o desempenho do ECRN, de acordo com os parâmetros de avaliação da CAPES. Acredita-se que, a partir desse checklist, os demais programas possam adaptar suas ações e rotinas administrativas para melhorarem paulatinamente seu desempenho. Como limitação, o estudo de caso único não permite a generalização das práticas e rotinas administrativas a outros Programas e instituições. Sugere-se, para trabalhos futuros, que o checklist seja implementado em diferentes programas, de diferentes áreas da CAPES, e que sejam sugeridas adaptações e melhorias a essa ferramenta. In Brazil, the Graduate Programs stricto sensu are evaluated by the Coordination of Improvement of Higher Level Personnel - CAPES. Data from this institution show that in Brazil several stricto sensu Postgraduate Programs can improve their performance over the years, while others remain stagnant or close their activities. In order to understand this dynamic, this research describes and analyzes the actions and administrative routines that were consolidated in the planning and performance of the Postgraduate Program in Ecology and Conservation of Natural Resources (ECRN) of Federal University of Uberlândia (UFU), from the CAPES guidelines, starting from the evaluation proposal of implantation, occurred in 1999 until the year 2016. The Program was chosen for having improved its performance since its inception, being a reference for the survey of actions and administrative routines adopted by the course that may have contributed to this fact. Were sought theoretical input in planning theories and mainly in strategy theory as practice. The research is characterized as a case study with action research, in which data were collected from the direct observation of the researcher, documents of the Program, CAPES and UFU and unstructured interviews. For the analysis, quantitative and qualitative methods were used with the triangulation of the data, based on the analysis dimensions that followed the CAPES evaluation parameters: Program Proposal; Professors Group; Students Groups, Theses and Dissertations; Intellectual Production and Social Insertion. The results indicate that the ECRN started its activities in 1999 with the concept three (3) and, in 13 years of activity (1999 to 2012), by five triennial evaluations it obtained the concept six (6) in the last CAPES evaluation. It was possible to visualize an effective action of the human resources characterized by the adoption of behavior to objective actions towards a level of excellence and reference in the area of Biodiversity. In addition, it was observed the adoption of routine practices that led to the emergence of strategies for follow-up, adaptation, updating and achievement of goals. These findings are in line with strategy theory as practice. From the case studied, it was possible to create a technological product that was the creation of a checklist with the actions and administrative routines that were fundamental for the performance of the ECRN, according to the parameters of evaluation of CAPES. It is believed that from this checklist too many programs can adapt their actions and administrative routines to gradually improve their performance. As a limitation, the single case study does not allow the generalization of practices and administrative routines to other Programs and institutions. It is suggested for future work that the checklist be implemented in different programs of different areas of CAPES and that adaptations and improvements be suggested to this tool. Inserida na Linha de Pesquisa “Trabalho, Sociedade e Educação” do Programa de Pós Graduação em Educação da Universidade Federal de Uberlândia, nossa tese é de que as condições de trabalho do professor universitário tiveram impacto considerável do modelo de organização da produção, a partir do ano 2002. Nesse sentido, tem como objeto de estudo as atuais condições do trabalho do docente no ensino superior, assim como os problemas identitários que pressionam o docente em tal ambiente. Os reflexos de todo o cenário instalado a partir dos moldes globais merecem ser compreendidos, sob a égide da profissão docente, face a uma realidade marcada pela desprofissionalização, desvalorização, desqualificação e proleratização da profissão, configurando-se definitivamente na perda da identidade docente. No âmbito dessas questões, requere-se estabelecer uma pauta única de discussões, para repensar a educação como meio importante das constantes mudanças que ocorrem no mundo produtivo. Este trabalho teve por objetivo pesquisar, junto aos docentes da Instituição de Ensino Superior Pública Federal de Ituiutaba – FACIP/UFU, a influência das recorrências da evolução da organização do trabalho e o consequente impacto na reestruturação das Universidades Federais no que se refere à formação profissional dos egressos dos cursos de graduação entre os anos de 2002 e 2014. Para atingir o propósito da pesquisa, definiu-se como objetivos específicos: i) debater a expansão do capitalismo no mundo, como origem da reestruturação da produção e do trabalho a partir do ano 2002; ii) analisar e discutir os impactos da mudança do modelo de organização da produção e do trabalho sobre a profissão docente, a partir do ano de 2002; iii) refletir sobre a necessidade de pesquisas acerca da educação, notadamente sobre a valorização do docente. A pesquisa exploratória quali-quantitativa com 48 docentes da Universidade aconteceu no período de 01 de agosto a 30 de setembro de 2016. Os resultados corroboraram com a tese, revelando que na visão dos pesquisados uma das principais influências das novas formas de organizar a produção e o trabalho, a partir do ano 2002, ditadas pelo modelo capitalista/toyotista, é redução da matriz de empregos no Brasil. Também revelaram que as características profissionais exigidas dos indivíduos e a necessidade destes de correr atrás de uma vaga de emprego, despertaram nos mesmos a consciência de que somente uma melhor formação e qualificação constante farão a sua diferença. Para os pesquisados, um dos principais problemas gerados pelo sistema capitalista, que reflete nas funções docentes, está relacionado com a incapacidade do Sistema de Ensino como um todo, mesmo sob a pressão do complexo sistema – Estado e Sistema Produtivo –, em produzir força de trabalho e tecnologias com a mesma velocidade exigida pelo mundo produtivo. Conclusivamente, ficou evidente que o mundo produtivo direciona os objetivos do Sistema de Ensino, orientando o Estado na definição de suas políticas; rege os objetivos das Instituições Educacionais e dos docentes, ingerindo e orientando na formação da mão de obra e no direcionamento de pesquisas. Inserted in the research line "Work, Society and Education" of the program of graduate studies in Education at the Universidade Federal de Uberlândia, this thesis argues that the working conditions of the University professor had considerable impact of the model of organization of production, from the year of 2002. In this sense, the object of study is the current work conditions of teaching staff in higher education, as well as the identity issues pressing the teacher in such an environment. The reflections of all installed scenario from the global templates deserve to be included, under the aegis of the teaching profession in the face of a reality marked by deprofessionalization, devaluation, disqualification and proletarianization of the profession by setting definitely in the loss of identity. In the context of these issues, it is important to establish a unique discussion board, to rethink education as important means of the constant changes that occur in the productive world. This study aimed to search, with the teachers of the Federal public institution of higher learning of Ituiutaba – FACIP/UFU, the influence of the recurrences of the evolution of the Organization of work and the consequent impact on the restructuring of Federal universities with regard to vocational training of graduates of degree courses, between the years of 2002 and 2014. To achieve the purpose of the survey, there were defined as specific objectives: i) discussing the expansion of capitalism in the world, as the source of the restructuring of production and work from the year of 2002; ii) analyzing and discussing the impacts of the change of the model of organization of production and work on the teaching profession, from the year 2002; iii) reflect on the need for research on the education, notably on the development of teaching. The quali-quantitative exploratory research with 48 faculty members of the University happened during the period from 01 August to 30 September 2016. The results corroborate with the thesis, revealing that in the view of the surveyed one of the main influences of new ways of organising production and work, from the year 2002, dictated by the capitalist/toyotist model, is reducing the matrix of jobs in Brazil. They also revealed that the professional features required of individuals and the need of chasing a job vacancy awoke in the same consciousness that only better training and constant qualification will make your difference. For the respondents, one of the major problems generated by the capitalist system, which reflects on the roles of teachers, is related to the inability of the educational System as a whole, even under the pressure of the complex system state and system of production, in producing workforce and technologies with the same speed required by the productive world. Conclusively, it became apparent that the productive world directs the objectives of the education system, guiding the State in defining its policies; governs the goals of educational institutions and teachers, ingesting and guiding in the training of the workforce and in the directions of researches. O surgimento de novos canais, representados pelas mídias sociais, dispositivos móveis, aplicativos baseados em geolocalização e, mais recentemente, tecnologias vestíveis e de realidade aumentada, vêm tornando as experiências online e offline indistintas e ampliando os pontos de contato entre consumidores e organizações. Assim, considerar a oferta de produtos e serviços em mais de um canal de marketing parece ter se tornado imperativo para a inovação, para o enfrentamento da infraestrutura inadequada de países emergentes como o Brasil e para a melhoria no nível de serviços oferecido por varejistas instalados em regiões consideradas estratégicas para o escoamento de mercadorias, com alto valor agregado por essas atividades e com um número significativo de estabelecimentos comerciais, como as mesorregiões do Alto Paranaíba, sul de Goiás e Triângulo Mineiro. Mais ainda, defende-se que além da adoção da multicanalidade, os canais de marketing devem estar totalmente integrados, por meio da adoção de uma estratégia omnichannel. A literatura sugere que a integração multicanal percebida pelo consumidor (MCI) pode impactar as dimensões do Consumer-Based Retailer Equity (CBRE), modelo de avaliação de marcas que mensura as lembranças, associações de marca, qualidade percebida e a lealdade de consumidores à marca de varejistas. Nessa perspectiva, o presente estudo tem como objetivo geral analisar a integração multicanal no varejo e o brand equity baseado no consumidor de varejistas multicanal. Para tanto, a pesquisa foi dividida em duas etapas, uma de caráter exploratório e outra de caráter descritivo. Por meio de análise documental e levantamento com 178 consumidores, o estudo exploratório permitiu identificar as principais mudanças ocorridas no varejo brasileiro entre 1970 e 2017; identificar o perfil e o comportamento de parte dos consumidores multicanal no contexto das mesorregiões do Alto Paranaíba, sul de Goiás e Triângulo Mineiro e identificar varejistas que adotam a estratégia multicanal, na percepção desses consumidores. A consolidação desses resultados norteou a etapa descritiva seguinte e permitiu, por meio de análise documental, observação e levantamento com 384 consumidores, descrever as iniciativas e tecnologias de integração multicanal declaradas por essas empresas; analisar o nível de integração multicanal percebido por parte dos consumidores dessas empresas e analisar como esses consumidores avaliam essas marcas. Os resultados demonstraram que o varejo brasileiro encontra-se em um processo de transição da multi para a omnicanalidade, decorrente do surgimento de tecnologias que se mostraram inseridas no comportamento do consumidor das mesorregiões, caracterizado pela ampla utilização da internet, do e-commerce, de dispositivos móveis e de redes sociais nos processos de busca e compra. Apesar disso, foi identificado que esses consumidores parecem não utilizar os múltiplos canais de forma integrada, uma vez que práticas como comprar na internet e retirar, trocar ou devolver produtos na loja física não foram significativas. As marcas mais citadas pela amostra foram Americanas, Magazine Luiza, Casas Bahia e Saraiva que declararam iniciativas de integração condizentes com a abordagem SO-LO-MO de Hüseyinoğlu, Galipoğlu and Kotzab (2017): formatos de loja física baseados em preferências locais; instalação de quiosques em lojas físicas para acesso aos canais online; serviços de compra na internet e retirada na loja física; desenvolvimento e aprimoramento de aplicativos móveis; presença em redes sociais e iniciativas de C2C commerce. Essas iniciativas parecem ser suportadas pela unificação de softwares de vendas, informações e meios de pagamento; adoção e/ou aperfeiçoamento de plataformas de marketplace; aquisição de empresas de tecnologia; criação de laboratórios de tecnologia, investimentos em softwares de big data e data science, bem como a adoção de tecnologias de geofencing, leitores de QR Code e tecnologias para pagamento online. No contexto regional, em visitas realizadas em quatro lojas físicas dessas marcas, instaladas na cidade de Uberlândia-MG, as práticas puderam ser parcialmente confirmadas. Quanto à integração multicanal percebida, a partir do modelo de Frasquet e Miquel (2017), foi identificado que a maioria dos consumidores das duas marcas mais citadas no primeiro levantamento (Americanas e Magazine Luiza) percebia baixo nível de reciprocidade (possibilidade de alternância entre canais durante o processo de compra) e coordenação (nível de alinhamento entre as ofertas online e offline), embora essas empresas declarem a adoção de iniciativas e tecnologias para esse fim. Com relação ao brand equity baseado nesses consumidores, os resultados da aplicação do modelo desenvolvido por Pappu e Quester (2006) permitiram identificar que as marcas foram avaliadas positivamente nos construtos: lembranças, associações e qualidade percebida, mas apresentaram baixo desempenho nas variáveis do construto lealdade. A Análise Fatorial Exploratória (AFE) permitiu inferir que as variáveis dos construtos se agrupam de maneira semelhante às escalas originais. De forma geral, o estudo contribuiu para o melhor entendimento da integração multicanal e do brand equity no varejo, ao explorar a temática sob a perspectiva do comportamento do consumidor. Quanto à sua contribuição gerencial, contribuiu com um diagnóstico da disparidade entre práticas de integração multicanal percebidas pela amostra de consumidores e práticas declaradas pelas empresas. The emergence of new channels, represented by social media, mobile devices, geolocation-based applications and, most recently, wearable and augmented reality technologies, have made online and offline experiences indistinct and broadening the points of contact between consumers and organizations. Thus, considering the offer of products and services in more than one marketing channel seems to have become imperative to innovation, to face the inadequate infrastructure of emerging countries such as Brazil and to improve the level of services offered by retailers installed in regions considered strategic for the flow of goods, with high added value by retail activities and with a significant number of commercial establishments, such as the mesoregions of Alto Paranaíba, south of Goiás and Triângulo Mineiro. Moreover, it is argued that in addition to adopting multichannel marketing channels must be fully integrated by adopting an omnichannel strategy. The literature suggests that consumer-perceived multichannel integration (MCI) can impact the dimensions of Consumer-Based Retailer Equity (CBRE), a brand assessment model that measures brand recall, brand associations, perceived quality, and brand loyalty of retailers. In this perspective, the present study aims to analyze multichannel retail integration and consumer brand equity of multi-channel retailers. To do so, the research was divided into two stages, one of exploratory character and the other of a descriptive character. Through documentary analysis and survey with 178 consumers, the exploratory study allowed to identify the main changes occurred in Brazilian retail between 1970 and 2017; the profile and behavior of multichannel consumers in the context of the Alto Paranaíba, south of Goiás and Triângulo Mineiro mesoregions, and retailers that adopt the multi-channel strategy in the perception of these consumers. The consolidation of these results guided the following descriptive step and allowed, through documentary analysis, observation and survey with 384 consumers of these mesoregions, to describe the main strategies and technologies of multichannel integration declared by these companies; analyze the level of perceived multichannel integration on the part of consumers and how these consumers evaluate the brands of these retailers. The results showed that Brazilian retail is in a process of transition from the multi to the omnicanality, due to the emergence of technologies that have been inserted in the consumer behavior of the mesoregion, characterized by the widespread use of the internet, e-commerce, mobile devices and social networks in search and purchase processes. Despite this, it was identified that these consumers do not seem to use the multiple channels in an integrated way, since practices like buying on the internet and withdrawing, exchanging or returning products in the physical store were not significant. The most cited brands by the sample were Americanas, Magazine Luiza, Casas Bahia and Saraiva, who declared integration strategies consistent with the SO-LO-MO approach of Hüseyinoğlu, Galipoğlu and Kotzab (2017): physical store formats based on local preferences; installation of kiosks in physical stores to access online channels; purchase services on the internet and withdrawal at the physical store; development and enhancement of mobile applications; presence in social networks and C2C commerce initiatives. These strategies appears to be supported by the unification of sales, information and payment software; adoption and/or enhancement of marketplace platforms; acquisition of technology companies; creation of technology labs, investments in big data and data science software, as well as the adoption of geofencing technologies, QR code readers and online payment technologies. On regional context, visits to four physical stores of these brands, located in the city of Uberlândia-MG, the practices could be partially confirmed. Regarding the perceived multichannel integration, based on the model of Frasquet and Miquel (2017), it was identified that the majority of consumers of the two most cited brands in the first survey (Americanas and Magazine Luiza) perceived a low level of reciprocity (possibility of switching between channels during the buying process) and coordination (level of alignment between online and offline offerings), although these companies declare the adoption of strategies and technologies for this purpose. In relation to brand equity based on these consumers, the application results of the model developed by Pappu and Quester (2006) allowed to identify that the brands were evaluated positively in the constructs: awareness, associations and perceived quality, but presented low performance in the variables of the loyalty construct. The Exploratory Factor Analysis allowed to infer that the variables of the constructs are grouped in a similar way to the original scales. In general, the study contributed to a better understanding of multichannel integration and brand equity in retail, by exploring the issue from the perspective of consumer behavior. As for its managerial contribution, it contributed with a diagnosis of the disparity between multichannel integration practices perceived by the sample of consumers and practices declared by the companies. A progressão das lesões de cárie em dentes molares permanentes de pacientes jovens, frequentemente resulta em tratamento endodôntico. Este estudo prospectivo de coorte teve como objetivo avaliar a incidência de dor e reparo apical após tratamento endodôntico de dentes molares jovens e identificar fatores associados aos resultados do tratamento. O tratamento endodôntico foi realizado por estudantes de graduação em dentes molares permanentes (n=75) de pacientes jovens de 9 a 17 anos de idade (n=60) na Clínica de Extensão Endodôntica e Restauradora da Universidade Federal de Uberlândia, Brasil. Foi utilizada instrumentação oscilatória com o sistema Protaper Next (Dentsply) e obturação empregando dois cimentos endodônticos (Sealer 26, Dentsply e AH Plus, Dentsply) definidas de forma aleatória nos dentes tratados. Após o tratamento endodôntico realizou-se restauração direta em resina composta. Dois desfechos primários foram considerados: 1- reparo apical e 2- dor pós-operatória, avaliados após 12 e 24 meses. Os dados longitudinais foram analisados por taxas de incidência e regressão do modelo misto usando as Equações de Estimativa Generalizadas (GEE). Ao final dos 2 anos foram avaliados 69 dentes de 54 pacientes. As incidências de reparo apical e dentes assintomáticos foram respectivamente: 90,5% e 89,3%, 96,8% e 90,0% após 1 e 2 anos. A falha do reparo apical foi associada ao tratamento endodôntico insatisfatório (P = 0,003) e condições periapicais (P = 0,007), bem como a interação delas (P = 0,016). Nenhuma dessas variáveis independentes foi capaz de prever a ocorrência de dor nos períodos de acompanhamento. O tratamento endodôntico mostrou resultados satisfatórios no período de 2 anos de avaliação. Nenhum efeito significativo do tipo de cimento endodôntico foi observado nos parâmetros analisados. O tratamento endodôntico de dentes molares jovens associados a restaurações de resina composta, realizado por estudantes de graduação tem papel relevante na redução do risco de perda dos dentes permanentes, tendo, portanto, significativo impacto social. The faster progression of caries lesions in permanent molar teeth of young patients, frequently result in endodontic treatment. This prospective cohort study aimed to evaluate the incidence of pain and apical repair after endodontic treatment of young molar teeth and identify factors associated with treatment outcomes. Endodontic treatment was performed by undergraduate students in permanent molar teeth (n=75) of young patients (n=60) at the Endodontic and Restorative Extension Clinic of the Federal University of Uberlandia, Brazil. Protaper Next was used and two sealers (Sealer 26 and AH Plus) were randomly assigned in the samples, which were restored with direct composite resin. Two primary clinical outcomes – apical repair and postoperative pain, were assessed after 12 and 24 months. Analysis of longitudinal data included the description of incidence rates and mixed-model regression using Generalized Estimation Equations (GEE). After 2 years 69 molar teeth of 54 patients were evaluated. The incidences (%) of apical repair and asymptomatic teeth were respectively 90.5 and 89.3, 96.8 and 90.0 for 1- and 2-years follow-up. Failed apical repair was associated with unsatisfactory endodontic treatment (P=0.003) and periapical conditions (P=0.007) as well as their interaction (P=0.016). None of these independent variables was able to predict the occurrence of pain in follow-up periods. Endodontic treatment showed satisfactory results after 2 years. Prognosis of apical repair is dependent on the initial conditions. No effect of the endodontic sealer was observed. Endodontic treatment of young molars associated with composite restorations performed by undergraduate students, have a relevant role in reducing the risk of permanent teeth loss. Tese (Doutorado)

Esta tese tem como objeto de estudo a renovação pedagógica na instrução pública primária no estado de Goiás, no período de 1918 a 1944 e se inscreve no campo da Educação, vinculada à linha de pesquisa: História e Historiografia da Educação. Trata-se de uma pesquisa qualitativa de cunho documental que utilizou os pressupostos teórico-metodológicos da História Cultural para analisar o processo de renovação pedagógica na instrução pública primária goiana. O objetivo geral consistiu em analisar o processo de renovação pedagógica na instrução pública primária no estado de Goiás, no período de 1918 a 1944. A questão norteadora desta pesquisa consistiu em averiguar como ocorreu o processo de renovação pedagógica na instrução pública primária no estado de Goiás, no período de 1918 a 1944. A problemática elencada desencadeou outros questionamentos: quais foram as iniciativas dos governantes para renovar o ensino público primário? Quais diretrizes teórico-pedagógicas nortearam as reformas? Que estratégias utilizaram? Quais inovações foram prescritas? De que forma foram disseminadas essas prescrições? Havia interesse político nessas prescrições? De forma específica almejamos: examinar as legislações promulgadas no período de 1918 a 1944 verificando se trouxeram inovações para a instrução pública primária goiana e para a formação dos professores e em que diretrizes se apoiavam; verificar se os pressupostos da Escola Nova foram utilizados no processo de renovação pedagógica na instrução pública primária goiana; investigar se o ideário nacionalista e a moralidade influenciaram as reformas na instrução pública primária goiana; verificar se as ideias higienistas foram incorporadas no processo de renovação pedagógica na instrução pública primária goiana. O corpus documental foi composto por Legislações Goianas (leis e decretos), mensagens e relatórios dos governadores/presidentes do estado de Goiás, do Correio oficial de Goiás (1918 a 1944) e da Revista de Educação de Goiás (1937 a 1944). Os republicanos consideravam a escola como um local para moralizar e civilizar a população, tornando-a saudável, disciplinada e produtiva. Mas, para isso, precisava renovar o ensino, então elegeram os pressupostos escolanovistas para subsidiar as reformas do ensino primário e normal do estado, o que gerou a promulgação de inúmeras legislações com destaque para os regulamentos e os programas do Ensino Primário e Normal. Não bastava ensinar, precisava saber ensinar, para isso o governo investiu na formação do professor primário com a publicação da Revista de Educação de Goiás cujo objetivo era disseminar os pressupostos escolanovistas e formar o professor nos novos métodos pedagógicos, bem como realizar o Congresso de Ensino Primário, seguindo os mesmos princípios da Revista. O Correio oficial de Goiás também foi um veículo de propagação da Escola Nova, de publicação dos atos governamentais e de divulgação do ideário nacionalista. As reformas proporcionaram a reformulação curricular, a seriação, o aparelhamento técnico-administrativo, a ampliação da rede escolar, a formação do professorado, o direcionamento das práticas de ensino com a implantação de novos métodos pedagógicos centrados na criança. O método de ensino escolhido pelos renovadores foi o método intuitivo. Apesar de utilizarem os pressupostos da Escola Nova para reformar o ensino, as fontes evidenciaram a presença de uma Escola Nova não laica, que diverge de seus princípios. Todavia, constatamos que os governos que estiveram à frente da administração pública do estado de Goiás no período de 1918 a 1944 realizaram diversas prescrições com o propósito de renovar a instrução pública primária. This thesis has as object of study the pedagogical renewal in primary public instruction in the state of Goiás, from 1918 to 1944 and is inscribed in the field of Education, linked to the research line: History and Historiography of Education. It is a qualitative research of documentary nature that used the theoretical and methodological assumptions of Cultural History to analyze the process of pedagogical renewal in primary public instruction in Goiás. The general objective was to analyze the pedagogical renewal process in primary public education in the state of Goiás, from 1918 to 1944. The guiding question of this research was to find out how the process of pedagogical renewal occurred in primary public education in the state of Goiás, from 1918 to 1944. The listed problem triggered other questions: what were the government's initiatives to renew primary public education? What theoretical-pedagogical guidelines oriented the reforms? What strategies were used? What innovations were prescribed? How were these prescriptions disseminated? Was there a political interest in these prescriptions? Specifically, we aim to: examine the laws enacted in the period from 1918 to 1944, checking whether they brought innovations to the state's primary public education and to the training of teachers and on which guidelines they were based; to verify if the assumptions of New School were used in the pedagogical renewal process in Goiás public primary education; to investigate whether nationalist ideology and morality influenced the reforms in primary public education in Goiás; to verify if hygienist ideas were incorporated in the process of pedagogical renewal in primary public education in Goiás. The documentary corpus was made up of Goiás Laws (laws and decrees), messages and reports from the governors / presidents of the state of Goiás, the Goiás Official Mail (1918-1944) and the Revista de Educação de Goiás (1937-1944). Republicans saw the school as a place to moralize and civilize the population, making it healthy, disciplined and productive. But, for that, it needed to renew the teaching, so they chose the New School assumptions to subsidize the reforms of the primary and normal education of the state, which generated the enactment of innumerable laws with emphasis on the regulations and the programs of the Primary and Normal Education. It was not enough to teach, it needed to know how to teach, for this the government invested in the formation of the primary teacher with the publication of the Revista de Educação de Goiás whose objective was to disseminate the New School assumptions and to train the teacher in the new pedagogical methods, as well as to hold the Teaching Congress Primary School, following the same principles highlighted in the Magazine. The Goiás Official Mail was also a vehicle for the propagation of the New School, for the publication of government acts and the dissemination of nationalist ideas. The reforms provided the curricular reformulation, the serialization, the technical-administrative equipment, the expansion of the school network, the training of teachers, the direction of teaching practices with the implementation of new child-centered teaching methods. The teaching method chosen by the renovators was the intuitive method. Despite using the New School assumptions to reform teaching, the sources evidenced the presence of a non-secular New School, which diverges from its principles. However, we note that the governments that were in charge of the public administration of the state of Goiás in the period from 1918 to 1944 carried out several prescriptions with the purpose of renewing primary public education. Na literatura recente não é novidade estudos preocupados em explicar o impacto da corrupção nas atividades públicas ou privadas em países, regiões e até setores específicos. Quase sempre esta literatura relaciona corrupção a impactos econômicos específicos, utilizam métodos qualitativos e quantitativos que comprovam as fragilidades dos mercados em relação ao crime de corrupção. O presente estudo busca, como objetivo geral, investigar a relevância do controle desta corrupção e o desempenho em empresas na América Latina, respondendo à seguinte pergunta de pesquisa: Qual é a relação entre controle de corrupção e o desempenho das empresas de capital aberto nos países Brasil, Argentina, Chile, Colômbia México e Peru. Quanto a metodologia, possui caráter descritivo e abordagem quantitativa com dados secundários. Como variáveis de desempenho se utiliza o ROA, o retorno sobre ativos e o índice Q de Tobin. Os resultados corroboram com a literatura e as organizações internacionais de que a corrupção é prejudicial e o controle dela essencial para o desempenho de empresas em países, setores e regiões específicas. In recent literature, it is not new studies concerned with explaining the impact of corruption on public or private activities in specific countries, regions and even sectors. This literature almost always relates corruption to specific economic impacts, using qualitative and quantitative methods that prove the weaknesses of the markets in relation to the crime of corruption. The present study seeks, as a general objective, to investigate the relevance of controlling this corruption and the performance in companies in Latin America, answering the following research question: What is the relationship between corruption control and the performance of publicly traded companies in the countries Brazil, Argentina, Chile, Colombia Mexico and Peru. As for the methodology, it has a descriptive character and a quantitative approach with secondary data. Performance variables include ROA, return on assets and Tobin's Q index. The results corroborate with the literature and international organizations that corruption is harmful and its control is essential for the performance of companies in specific countries, sectors and regions. O presente trabalho compreende a formação do professor de Educação Infantil, juntamente com o surgimento e reconhecimento da Educação Infantil (LDB 9394/96) sob a ótica história e social. Essa formação do professor surge como um assunto polêmico, principalmente pensando-se nos destinos das crianças. É necessária uma séria revisão no currículo de formação docente, onde venha a questionar o real papel que a educação exerce na sociedade, a verdadeira função científica e social do professor, dentre outras. A falta de interesse ou o excesso de comodismo, ou ainda, muitas portarias ou resoluções longe de uma sociedade real, não são os melhores caminhos. O trabalho apresenta como objetivos gerais estudar, conhecer e discutir como vem ocorrendo, histórica e socialmente, a formação do professor da Educação Infantil, atentando para o mundo contemporâneo frente as TDIC’S. Visa analisar e compreender a importância dos usos das TDIC’S. Visa analisar e compreender a importância dos usos das TDIC’S como meios facilitadores do processo de ensino-aprendizagem no fazer pedagógicaodo professor de Educação Infantil. Pauta-se, portanto, em dois problemas básicos: 1 – Como acontece, histórica e socialmente, a formação do professor da Educação Infantil para atender ao mundo contemporâneo frente as TDIC’S? 2- As TDIC’S podem ser utilizados como meios facilitadores do processo de ensino-aprendizagem no fazer pedagógico do professor de Educação Infantil? O trabalho evidencia que o professor, atualmente, adota uma nova postura, uma nova função: mediador entre a criança e o mundo, tendo a família como cooparticipante no processo de ensino-aprendizagem. A pré escola deixa de ser lugar de cuidados de higiene e torna-se espaço educativo. The present work includes the formation of the teacher of Early Childhood Education, together with the emergence and recognition of Early Childhood Education (LDB 9394/96) under the optics history and social. This training of the teacher appears as a controversial subject, mainly thinking about the destinies of the children. A serious revision is necessary in the teacher education curriculum, where it will question the real role that education plays in society, the true scientific and social function of the teacher, among others. Lack of interest or over-indulgence, or too many ordinances or resolutions away from a real society, are not the best ways. The main objective of the work is to study, to know and to discuss how the formation of the Infantile Education teacher has occurred, historically and socially, taking into account the contemporary world in front of the TDIC'S. It aims to analyze and understand the importance of the uses of TDIC'S. It aims to analyze and understand the importance of the use of TDICs as a facilitator of the teaching-learning process in the pedagogical making of the teacher of Early Childhood Education. Therefore, it is based on two basic problems: 1 - How, historically and socially, does the formation of the Infantile Education teacher to attend to the contemporary world in front of the TDICs? 2 - Can TDICs be used as facilitators of the teaching-learning process in the pedagogical making of the teacher of Early Childhood Education? The work shows that the teacher currently adopts a new posture, a new role: mediator between the child and the world, with the family as a co-participant in the teaching-learning process. The pre-school ceases to be a place of hygiene care and becomes an educational space. CAPES - Coordenação de Aperfeiçoamento de Pessoal de Nível Superior Entre 1950 e 1970, o Brasil passou por mudanças que impactaram na educação. Além da retomada da democracia e do golpe que a derrubou, a indústria de grande porte se instalou de vez no país, exigindo mão de obra escolarizada. Para suprir a demanda, o governo iniciou uma campanha de alfabetização em massa construindo grupos escolares em ritmo acelerado; embora paralelamente se discutisse, em plenário, a gratuidade e laicidade da educação com a apresentação do projeto da Lei de Diretrizes e Bases da Educação Nacional de 1961. Em Minas Gerais, a criação de escolas públicas não supôs garantia de instalações apropriadas como em Ituiutaba, município cujas taxas elevadas de analfabetismo — graças à falta de escolas públicas — contrastavam com a economia ascendente — graças à produção de arroz. Exemplo disso é o Grupo Escolar Cônego Ângelo, de que trata este estudo. O ponto de partida foram estas indagações: como eram as relações entre economia e analfabetismo no contexto de criação e funcionamento do Grupo Escolar Cônego Ângelo em seus primeiros anos? Qual era o perfil de seu corpo docente e discente? Que concepções, práticas, métodos e conteúdos educacionais subjazeram às atividades educacionais dessa escola? A pesquisa objetivou fazer uma análise histórico-interpretativa do processo de criação, constituição e funcionamento do grupo escolar tentando apreender o contexto histórico e político e sua influência na educação, concepções e projetos nas práticas educacionais do grupo escolar e delinear seu público-alvo. O estudo se valeu de fontes de pesquisa como atas de reunião de professores, livros de matrícula, diários de classe, cadernos de promoção de alunos e de inspeção, materiais pedagógicos, fotografias, textos de jornais e entrevistas. A pesquisa seguiu a abordagem qualitativa aplicada a processos histórico-sociais e procedimentos do método histórico dialético para explorar as relações entre o dado particular e o geral. Os resultados mostram, dentre outros pontos, que a migração do campo para cidade teve efeito na educação ao aumentar a população urbana analfabeta, isto é, ampliar a demanda por vagas; que a criação de grupos escolares nos anos 1950 e 60 foi relevante em números, mas que estratégias de construção como a estrutura metálica — o “prédio de lata” — precarizavam condições básicas de funcionamento escolar. O Grupo Escolar Cônego Ângelo ocupou três lugares ao mesmo tempo para suprir necessidades distintas como a demanda da classe trabalhadora migrante do campo para a cidade. Nesses espaços, seguiu concepções, práticas, métodos e conteúdos educacionais típicos de metodologia tradicional, além práticas pedagogicas extraclasses como as excursões conduzidas por professoras oriundas de classes abastadas. Embora contrastassem com o público da escola — filhos da classe trabalhadora cujos pais tinham de contribuir para custear o grupo escolar —, professoras e diretoras fizeram reivindicações e realizaram ações beneficentes para manter em atividade uma escola criada sem planejamento e infraestrutura. Por isso, traduzem lutas e conquistas. Between 1950 and 1970, Brazil went through changes that impacted on education. In addition to the resumption of democracy and the coup that brought it down, the large industry settled firmly in the country, demanding educated labor. To supply the demand, the government initiated a mass literacy campaign by building public school at an accelerated pace; although at the same time it was discussed the gratuitousness and secularity of education with the presentation of the bill for national guidelines for education in Brazil, of 1961. In Minas Gerais, the establishment of public schools did nor implied guaranteeing appropriate installations as it happened in Ituiutaba, a municipality whose high illiteracy rates — thanks to the lack of public schools — contrasted with a rising economy — thanks to the rice production. Example of this is the public school Grupo Escolar Cônego Ângelo, focused on this study. Its starting point is these questions: how were relations between economics and illiteracy in the context of the creation and functioning of this school in its early years? What was the profile of teachers and students? What conceptions, practices, methods and educational content have underlied the educational activities of this school? The research aimed to a historical-interpretive analysis of the process of creation, constitution and functioning of this school trying to understand the historical and political context and its influence on education, conceptions and projects in the educational practices of the Group School as well as outline the school target audience. The study relied on research sources such as teachers’ meeting minutes, enrollment books, class attendance book, inspection forms, pedagogical materials, photographs, newspaper texts and interviews. The research followed the qualitative approach applied to historical-social processes and procedures of the dialectical historical method to explore the relationships between the local and the global. Results show, among other points, that migration from the country to city had an effect on education in raising the urban illiterate population, which means broadening demand for school vacancies; that the creation of public schools during the 50s and 60s was relevant in numbers, but building strategies such as metallic structure — the “tin building” — make basic conditions of school functioning precarious. Grupo Escolar Cônego Ângelo has occupied four places at the same time to meet distinct needs as the demand of migrant working class. Its functioning followed concepts, practices, methods and educational content typical of traditional methodology, in addition to outside-classroom practices as places visiting conducted by teachers from wealthy classes. Although teachers’ social condition contrasted with school audience — working class children whose parents had to contribute to funding the school group —, they made claims and performed charitable actions to maintain a school created without planning and infrastructure.
