OBJECTIVE To evaluate the risk and timing of right heart failure (RHF) in feedlot cattle. ANIMALS Study population consisted of 1,717,356 cattle (5,527 cohorts) in 13 US and Canadian feedlots. There were 1,336 RHF diagnosed at necropsy. PROCEDURES Multivariable models were utilized to evaluate risk and timing of RHF death. RESULTS Arrival year was associated with RHF and was influenced by arrival quarter on the magnitude of risk of RHF (P < .01), but no linear increase over years was identified. The impact of feedlot elevation on RHF was modified by breed (beef, dairy, or dairy-cross; P < .01) with beef cattle in the highest elevation category having 0.54 times the risk of RHF as dairy cattle in the same elevation category (LCL = 0.31; UCL = 0.962). Cattle that died due to RHF and were treated for bovine respiratory disease died 11 days (LCL = 1.33, UCL = 20.2 days) sooner than cattle never treated for bovine respiratory disease (P = .03). Cattle breed was associated with RHF timing (P = .01), and dairy-cross cattle RHF cases died approximately 37 days earlier (SE = 13.0 days; P = .01) compared to beef cattle. CLINICAL RELEVANCE This research showed demographic factors associated with RHF and their respective influence on risk and timing of RHF. Risk rates of RHF were similar to previous research. This could allow for comparisons across different feedlot populations, using different diagnoses at necropsy and RHF risk/rates do not appear to be increasing.

College athletes are now permitted to profit off their name, image, and likeness. However, while a hodgepodge of different regulations exists state-by-state and Congress continues to drag its feet to pass a federal framework, Texas restricts college athletes from maximizing their name, image, and likeness earning potential. This Comment proposes improvements to Senate Bill 1385 that would allow college athletes in Texas to partner with the same categories of “taboo” products as their respective university and to endorse products from competing brands, provided such endorsement is outside of a university-sponsored event, with an exception allowing unrestricted endorsement of footwear. This Comment encourages Texas to develop a trust system that holds group licensing revenues in trust until the respective students leave the university. College athletes would not only maximize their name, image, and likeness earning potential but also connect with local businesses. At the same time, universities in Texas would continue to position themselves as attractive destinations for top athletes nationwide. These suggested improvements are inspired by existing state and proposed federal legislation and suggestions from federal judges and a Supreme Court Justice.

Background Neuropsychiatric disorders are common in 22q11.2 Deletion Syndrome (22q11DS) with about 25% of affected individuals developing schizophrenia spectrum disorders by young adulthood. Longitudinal evaluation of psychosis spectrum features and neurocognition can establish developmental trajectories and impact on functional outcome. Methods 157 youth with 22q11DS were assessed longitudinally for psychopathology focusing on psychosis spectrum symptoms, neurocognitive performance and global functioning. We contrasted the pattern of positive and negative psychosis spectrum symptoms and neurocognitive performance differentiating those with more prominent Psychosis Spectrum symptoms (PS+) to those without prominent psychosis symptoms (PS−). Results We identified differences in the trajectories of psychosis symptoms and neurocognitive performance between the groups. The PS+ group showed age associated increase in symptom severity, especially negative symptoms and general nonspecific symptoms. Correspondingly, their level of functioning was worse and deteriorated more steeply than the PS− group. Neurocognitive performance was generally comparable in PS+ and PS− groups and demonstrated a similar age-related trajectory. However, worsening executive functioning distinguished the PS+ group from PS− counterparts. Notably, of the three executive function measures examined, only working memory showed a significant difference between the groups in rate of change. Finally, structural equation modeling showed that neurocognitive decline drove the clinical change. Conclusions Youth with 22q11DS and more prominent psychosis features show worsening of symptoms and functional decline driven by neurocognitive decline, most related to executive functions and specifically working memory. The results underscore the importance of working memory in the developmental progression of psychosis.

After age, polymorphisms of the Apolipoprotein E (APOE) gene are the biggest risk factor for the development of Alzheimer’s disease (AD). During our investigation to discovery biomarkers in plasma, using 2D gel electrophoresis, we found an individual with and unusual apoE isoelectric point compared to APOE ɛ2, ɛ3, and ɛ4 carriers. Whole exome sequencing of APOE from the donor confirmed a single nucleotide polymorphism (SNP) in exon 4, translating to a rare Q222K missense mutation. The apoE ɛ4 (Q222K) mutation did not form dimers or complexes observed for apoE ɛ2 & ɛ3 proteins.

We probed the solid-state formation of gold nanoparticles through mechanochemically-activated aging. The acquired data allowed for the establishment of the first kinetic model for solid-state nanoparticle formation.

The presence of a 22q11.2 microdeletion (22q11.2 deletion syndrome [22q11DS]) ranks among the greatest known genetic risk factors for the development of psychotic disorders. There is emerging evidence that the cerebellum is important in the pathophysiology of psychosis. However, there is currently limited information on cerebellar neuroanatomy in 22q11DS specifically.High-resolution 3T magnetic resonance imaging was acquired in 79 individuals with 22q11DS and 70 typically developing control subjects (N = 149). Lobar and lobule-level cerebellar volumes were estimated using validated automated segmentation algorithms, and subsequently group differences were compared. Hierarchical clustering, principal component analysis, and graph theoretical models were used to explore intercerebellar relationships. Cerebrocerebellar structural connectivity with cortical thickness was examined via linear regression models.Individuals with 22q11DS had, on average, 17.3% smaller total cerebellar volumes relative to typically developing subjects (p.0001). The lobules of the superior posterior cerebellum (e.g., VII and VIII) were particularly affected in 22q11DS. However, all cerebellar lobules were significantly smaller, even after adjusting for total brain volumes (all cerebellar lobules p.0002). The superior posterior lobule was disproportionately associated with cortical thickness in the frontal lobes and cingulate cortex, brain regions known be affected in 22q11DS. Exploratory analyses suggested that the superior posterior lobule, particularly Crus I, may be associated with psychotic symptoms in 22q11DS.The cerebellum is a critical but understudied component of the 22q11DS neuroendophenotype.

We use a gold nanoparticle synthesis as a model system to study the morphological and compositional changes in gold(III) precursor particles, while reduction is taking place during aging after mechanical activation. Scanning transmission electron microscopy coupled with a high-angle annular dark field detector revealed the nanoscale changes in particle morphology, while electron energy loss spectroscopy mapped the changes in the chemical landscape during the reduction process. Tracking a specific region of interest on the sample grid allowed for comparisons to be made of the same particles across a two day monitoring period. High-angle annular dark field images permitted the visualization of particle size reduction of the gold salt while electron energy loss spectroscopy captured the surprising mobility of the lighter chlorine and sodium ions in a solid matrix during the reduction process. This system offers unique insight into precursor particle reactivity in the solid phase, which is relevant for many mechanochemical and aging-based reactions.

Spring barley production and quality in the United States is severely impacted by Fusarium head blight (FHB), primarily caused by Fusarium graminearum. Management of FHB is best accomplished using an integrated approach including resistant varieties and fungicides. Field experiments were established from 2014 to 2019 to quantify the effects of host resistance, fungicide, and fungicide timing on management of FHB and deoxynivalenol (DON) and yield protection in spring barley. Three separate research objectives were investigated using multiyear and multilocation experiments. These included investigating the efficacy of prothioconazole + tebuconazole applied at either Feekes growth stage (FGS) 10.5 (full head) or 3 to 7 days after FGS 10.5; the efficacy of sequential fungicide applications occurring at both FGS 10.5 and 3 to 7 days after FGS 10.5 using prothioconazole + tebuconazole, metconazole, prothioconazole, or tebuconazole; and the efficacy and timing of pydiflumetofen + propiconazole. Pooled analysis results suggest that metconazole, prothioconazole + tebuconazole, and pydiflumetofen + propiconazole are all effective fungicides for reducing DON, reducing FHB, and protecting yield. The use of sequential fungicide applications with one occurring at FGS 10.5 and another at 3 to 7 days after FGS 10.5 provided greater suppression than a single application at FGS 10.5. The greatest DON reduction from pydiflumetofen + propiconazole occurred when applied at full head or 3 to 7 days after full head. Across all research objectives, the most effective single fungicide application timing to reduce FHB, reduce DON, and protect yield in barley is 3 to 7 days after FGS 10.5.

This paper discusses the design of a net-zero single-family house in Chattanooga, Tennessee, which was proposed for the 2022 Solar Decathlon Design Challenge entry. The site was in a 100-year flood zone and registered as a national and local historic district. The interdisciplinary team consisted of University of Tennessee Chattanooga (UTC) students from the interior architecture and engineering departments who embraced the challenges of the local climate and the restrictions of the historic district guidelines. This entry, Moc House, focused on the integration of passive design and active HVAC systems including photovoltaic systems in the process. In responding to recent housing market changes in Chattanooga due to the COVID-19 pandemic, a young professional couple in their 30s who have two children was identified as the target market which guided the space planning. Market analysis, including ROI, was conducted in addition to construction cost calculations. Building materials were selected to enhance the durability and resilience of the house structure. Finally, energy analysis was conducted to check the project’s Home Energy Rating using Ekotrope and found it less than zero.

Water-driven percussion drilling techniques, such as that used by the RoXplorer(R) coiled tubing drill rig, return a rock sample as cuttings that are carried to the surface by the circulating drilling fluid. This drilling technique does not deliver a core sample. In order for the RoXplorer(R) to be effective as a mineral-exploration drill rig, it is critical to develop robust, representative and repeatable sampling techniques for the rock cuttings and to establish with confidence the depth interval from which the sample was derived. The RoXplorer(R) produces more than 7 kg/m of cuttings every few minutes (rate of penetration dependent) that are carried to the surface by the drilling fluid with a fluid return rate of 80-150 L/min. The two hallmarks of Alzheimer's disease (AD) are amyloid-β (Aβ) plaques and neurofibrillary tangles marked by phosphorylated tau. Increasing evidence suggests that aggregating Aβ drives tau accumulation, a process that involves synaptic degeneration leading to cognitive impairment. Conversely, there is a realization that non-fibrillar (oligomeric) forms of Aβ mediate toxicity in AD. Fibrillar (filamentous) aggregates of proteins across the spectrum of the primary and secondary tauopathies were the focus of recent structural studies with a filament structure-based nosologic classification, but less emphasis was given to non-filamentous co-aggregates of insoluble proteins in the fractions derived from post-mortem human brains. BackgroundA putative role for iron in driving Alzheimer’s disease (AD) progression is complicated by previously reported associations with neuroinflammation, apolipoprotein E and AD proteinopathy. To establish how iron interacts with clinicopathological features of AD and at what disease stage iron influences cognitive outcomes, we investigated the association of cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) biomarkers of iron (ferritin), inflammation (acute phase response proteins) and apolipoproteins with pathological biomarkers (CSF Aβ42/t-tau, p-tau181), clinical staging and longitudinal cognitive deterioration in subjects from the BioFINDER cohort, with replication of key results in the Alzheimer’s Disease Neuroimaging Initiative (ADNI) cohort.MethodsFerritin, acute phase response proteins (n=9) and apolipoproteins (n=6) were measured in CSF samples from BioFINDER (n=1239; 4 years cognitive follow-up) participants stratified by cognitive status (cognitively unimpaired, mild cognitive impairment, AD) and for the presence of amyloid and tangle pathology using CSF Aβ42/t-tau (A+) and p-tau181 (T+). The ferritin and apolipoprotein E associations were replicated in the ADNI (n=264) cohort.ResultsIn both cohorts, ferritin and apoE were elevated in A-T+ and A+T+ subjects (16%–40%), but not clinical diagnosis. Other apolipoproteins and acute phase response proteins increased with clinical diagnosis, not pathology. CSF ferritin was positively associated with p-tau181, which was mediated by apolipoprotein E. An optimised threshold of ferritin predicted cognitive deterioration in mild cognitive impairment subjects in the BioFINDER cohort, especially those people classified as A-T- and A+T-.ConclusionsCSF markers of iron and neuroinflammation have distinct associations with disease stages, while iron may be more intimately associated with apolipoprotein E and tau pathology.

This article takes stock of the growing interest in flourishing measurement. The focus is on three challenges in this domain: the degree of coherent theorizing, the overreliance on psychometric validation, and the questionable universality of the measures. A rigorous process identified the eight most widely documented flourishing measures. All eight measures struggled with the three challenges. First, all measures were constructed on intuitive grounds, whether those bases were existing literatures, personal conceptualizations, or the intuition of an opposition of mental illness and flourishing. Second, all measures were assessed almost exclusively with psychometric studies, with little evidence of theoretical or cultural validity. Finally, all eight measures implicitly or explicitly assume cultural universality without providing theoretical argument or empirical evidence for that assumption. This stock-taking resulted in two main conclusions. First, there are areas of both consensus (e.g., that flourishing is a measurable, multidimensional construct) and dissensus (e.g., the components of flourishing) that can provide bases for future theory and research. Second, systematic theoretical argument is necessary to better understand what flourishing is, how it can be validly measured, and the degree to which it can be considered a universal human experience. It is time to address these theoretical and cultural questions.

Dynamic anterior shoulder stabilization (DAS) with Bankart repair is a recently described stabilization technique thought to be more robust than an isolated Bankart repair while avoiding many coracoid transfer-related complications and technical demands. DAS involves transfer of the long head biceps through a subscapularis split to the anterior glenoid to create a sling effect. We hypothesize that DAS with Bankart repair will restore anterior stability in a human-cadaveric model with subcritical (15%) glenoid bone loss.Eight cadaveric shoulders were tested using an established shoulder simulator to record glenohumeral translations with an accuracy of ±0.2 mm. Shoulders were tested in 5 states-intact soft tissues, Bankart defect with 15% bone loss, isolated Bankart repair, DAS with Bankart repair, isolated DAS, and Latarjet. A 45 N anterior force was applied through the pectoralis major tendon, and translation of the humeral head was recorded and compared with repeated measures analysis of variance.The anterior translation in the intact (native) glenoid was 4.7 mm at neutral position and 4.6 mm at 45° external rotation. Anterior translation significantly increased after introducing a Bankart defect with 15% glenoid bone loss to 9.1 mm (neutral, P = .002) and 9.5 mm (45° external rotation, P .001). All repair conditions showed a significant decrease in anterior translation relative to Bankart defect. DAS with Bankart repair decreased anterior translation compared with the Bankart defect: 2.7 mm (neutral, P .001) and 2.1 mm (45° external rotation, P .001). DAS with Bankart repair significantly decreased anterior translation compared with the isolated Bankart repair (2.7 mm vs. 4.7 mm, P = .023) and the isolated DAS (2.7 mm vs. 4.3 mm, P = .041) in neutral position. The Latarjet procedure resulted in the greatest reduction in anterior translation compared with the Bankart defect: 1.2 mm (neutral, P .001) and 1.9 mm (45° external rotation, P .001).DAS with Bankart repair is a viable alternative to restore anterior glenohumeral stability with a 15% glenoid defect at a greater degree than either DAS or Bankart repair alone. The Latarjet procedure was the most effective in reducing anterior translation but restrained the anterior translation significantly more than the native glenoid.

Excavations conducted by Beloit College in 1958 and 1960 identified the site of La Magdalena in the Bajío of Mexico. Investigators have since highlighted three primary phases of occupation at La Magdalena, two of which were proposed to have been culturally influenced by Teotihuacan or Tula. Modern research in the Bajío mostly diverges from those postulations of distant connections, supplanting them with local patterns that hold much more explanatory power. Archaeometric studies are pivotal in this regard but have thus far been infrequently used. This research analyzes the obsidian assemblage from La Magdalena and finds a nearly ubiquitous utilization of a local obsidian source known as Ojo Zarco. These findings merit a reevaluation of obsidian in the eastern Bajío and argue for more archaeometric studies that elucidate local procurement patterns.

Anthers express the most genes of any plant organ, and their development involves sequential redifferentiation of many cell types to perform distinctive roles from inception through pollen dispersal. Agricultural yield and plant breeding depend on understanding and consequently manipulating anthers, a compelling motivation for basic plant biology research to contribute. After stamen initiation, two theca form at the tip, and each forms an adaxial and abaxial lobe composed of pluripotent Layer 1-derived and Layer 2-derived cells. After signal perception or self-organization, germinal cells are specified from Layer 2-derived cells, and these secrete a protein ligand that triggers somatic differentiation of their neighbors. Historically, recovery of male-sterile mutants has been the starting point for studying anther biology. Many genes and some genetic pathways have well-defined functions in orchestrating subsequent cell fate and differentiation events. Today, new tools are providing more detailed information; for example, the developmental trajectory of germinal cells illustrates the power of single cell RNA-seq to dissect the complex journey of one cell type. We highlight ambiguities and gaps in available data to encourage attention on important unresolved issues.

Herein, we present the bottom-up, mechanochemical synthesis of phosphorus-bridged heptazine-based carbon nitrides (g-h-PCN). The structure of these materials was determined through a combination of powder X-ray diffraction (PXRD), X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS), 31P magic angle spinning nuclear magnetic resonance (MAS NMR), density functional theory (DFT) and electron energy loss spectroscopy (EELS). Compared to traditional furnace-based techniques, the presented method utilizes milder conditions, as well as shorter reaction times. Both samples of g-h-PCN directly after milling and aging and after an hour of annealing at 300 °C (g-h-PCN300) show a reduction in photoluminescent recombination, as well as a nearly two-time increase in photocurrent under broad spectrum irradiation, which are appealing properties for photocatalysis.

The tack coat is a bonding agent applied between new and existing asphalt pavement layers. Roadway construction operations inherently introduce adverse conditions, such as dust on the pavement surface and nonuniform coverage (streaking), which can compromise tack coat bond quality. Climatic conditions such as heavy rainfall also create issues late in the construction season. Newly developed engineered tack coat emulsions, which utilize stiff asphalt binders and polymer modifiers, are purported to improve interlayer bonding characteristics and reduce the propensity of early fatigue cracking and pavement failure. This study evaluates engineered tack coats against conventionally used tack coats in a laboratory setting to identify their benefits when subjected to different pavement surface types, application rates, and commonly experienced adverse roadway construction conditions. Monotonic direct shear testing was employed to characterize interlayer bonding using two response parameters, interlayer shear strength and interlayer bond energy. This study advances the knowledge of engineered tack coat performance under real-world conditions and also employs a laboratory sample preparation methodology that is representative of pavement construction in the field.

Mitigating digestive mortalities begins when new cattle arrive. The proportion of U.S. feedlot mortalities attributable to di­gestive diseases accounts for 19.5% to 28.4% of all mortalities. Veterinarians provide a key role in the health and husbandry of cattle feeding operations. It is important to not overlook cer­tain aspects of cattle feeding such as water, rest and food for newly received cattle. Water plays a crucial role in an animal’s physiology/homeostasis. Rest from a stressful event, such as transportation, should be addressed prior to processing. A gen­eral industry recommendation for rest after transportation is one hour of rest for every hour of transportation. Food in the form of good-quality long-stem hay must be provided at arrival along with fresh water. The next phase is transitioning cattle to a high-grain diet. The transition period typically lasts around 28-45 days, which coincides with the highest risk period for bovine respiratory disease (BRD). Proper management during the transition phase relies on bunk management, reading the cattle, monitoring the weather and proper communication be­tween personnel working with and/or feeding the cattle. Fail­ure in one or more of these areas will likely result in undesir­able returns.

Obesity is one of the leading public health concerns with over half a million Americans being classified as obese and almost two billion classified as overweight. This has an impact on overall health of the individual, with increased comorbidities and premature death, as well as increased economic cost. This study evaluates the weight loss of patients with limited societal support and resources cared for at a single bariatric center of excellence, The Center for Surgical Weight Control, in Cabell County, West Virginia.Retrospective review of patients that have undergone either a Vertical Sleeve Gastrectomy (VSG) or a Roux-en-Y gastric bypass (RNYGB) between the years of 2017 and 2018 At the Center for Surgical Weight Control. Weight loss was evaluated at 6 months, 1 year, and 2 years.There were 290 patients between 2017 and 2018. On average, the VSG group lost 46% of excess body weight (EBW) at 6 months, 57% of EBW at 1 year, and 61% of EBW at 2 years. In the RNYGB group patients lost on average 54% of EBW at 6 months, 65% of EBW at 1 year, and 88% of EBW at 2 years.A loss of 5-15% of EBW can improve obesity-related comorbidities. These comorbidities include diabetes, hypertension, hyperlipidemia, gastroesophageal reflux disease, and obstructive sleep apnea. Improvement in these comorbidities not only benefits each patient individually, but will also help improve the effects on society as a whole.Obesity is a debilitating and deadly disease, thus makes it very important to address in order to reduce burden on both patients and society as a whole. There is an expected amount of weight loss a patient should have depending on the type of surgery they undergo. Our patients were successful at meeting and exceeding the expected percentage of EBW loss after both VSG and RNYGB.

This paper presents a pedagogical exercise to explore the economics of price-based fisheries bycatch. In the exercise students experience the economic incentives that lead to bycatch due to highgrading; the discarding of low-value fish. We first discuss existing fisheries economics pedagogical activities and how our exercise is distinct. We then identify over forty economics, environmental studies, geography, management, and philosophy courses where the exercise could be played. Next, we describe the game and share results and student feedback. Finally, we provide discussion prompts and extensions to illustrate how incentives and policies can change fishing behavior to lead to sustainable fisheries.

Industry funding in medicine enhances physician training but can create bias influencing accurate reporting of outcomes. High rates of conflict of interest (COI) disclosure have been found in orthopaedic surgery. However, industry-specific disclosures have not been investigated and small-value compensations previously excluded. Using the nerve allograft industry as a proxy to examine specific patterns of COI between physicians and industries relevant to their publications, we sought to evaluate patterns in industry-specific COI disclosure within the hand and upper extremity surgery literature.Literature search for primary studies using nerve allografts in the hand and upper extremity from 2013 to 2021 was conducted. Authors were cross-referenced with their publication's COI statement and payments recorded in the Open Payments Database (OPD). Only payments relevant to the topic or product presented in the publication were included. Payments in all OPD subdivisions were compared.Fourteen studies with 14 first, 72 middle, and 14 senior authors were included. Disclosed and undisclosed payments totaled $2,848,196 and $2,509,397. Only 28% of the authors had completely accurate COI statements. Research and food and beverage comprised the highest and lowest average rates of accurate disclosure (93.8% and 24.9%). The value of accurately disclosed payments was significantly greater on a per-author basis among senior authors ( P0.001). Neither the value of undisclosed payments nor the rate of accurate disclosure differed by authorship position ( P = 0.904 and P = 0.350).When examined in the context of industries specific to publication, the rate of correct COI disclosure is lower than previously reported with small-value compensation a major contributor. Areas of improvement include the following: (1) All authors should be held accountable for correct disclosure; (2) all forms of financial support should be reported; and (3) journals should independently verify disclosures to the OPD. OPD utilization may help verify correct reporting, especially when the industry is related to the area of study, in the interest of maintaining the highest editorial integrity.

The work of psychotherapy is complex and seems to resist algorithmic formulation. Psychotherapy theory, technique, and research help to manage this complexity to some degree, but clinical excellence also seems to require clinical judgment, and this judgment cuts across therapeutic theories. However, the content and process of clinical judgment remain relatively untheorized, often relegated to the “art of psychotherapy.” This article focuses on elucidating clinical judgment in terms of the neo-Aristotelian concept of practical wisdom, which includes recognizing what is salient, integrating multiple considerations, infusing emotional experience with reason, and pursuing an intervention plan with discernment and flexibility. The argument is that practical wisdom provides a rich description of the work of clinically adept therapists by more clearly portraying therapists’ decisions and activities than the general, unsystematic concept of clinical judgment or in terms of the many theories of psychotherapy.

We clarify the molt strategies of the Willow Flycatcher (Empidonax traillii) by subspecies through the examination of 455 museum specimens. Most and typically all juvenile primary coverts are retained during the preformative molt in fall and winter, allowing yearlings to be distinguished from older birds from their first spring through their second fall. In addition to replacing the body feathers and some to (usually) all secondary coverts and tertials, the preformative molt can include no other remiges or rectrices (46% of specimens), all remiges and rectrices (33%), or some remiges in an “eccentric” sequence (21%). During the prealternate molt, replacement of upper wing coverts and tertials is much less extensive than in the preformative molt, varying from replacement of no feathers in 27% of specimens to replacing more than half of the median and greater coverts and all three tertials in other specimens. Both the preformative and the first prealternate molts are significantly more extensive in eastern E. t. traillii than in the three western subspecies (brewsteri, adastus, and extimus). The definitive prealternate molt is also significantly more extensive than the first prealternate molt in the western subspecies but not in traillii. These differences between traillii and the other subspecies may result from longer migration distances, hence more solar exposure on an annual basis, and different molt-strategy dynamics between eastern and western North American passerines, perhaps relating to preferences for moister habitats. Further investigation is needed on the timing of molts on the winter grounds and the extent of body-feather replacement during the prealternate molt.
