1. DETERMINATION OF RESIDUES OF AMITRAZ AND FLUVALINATE IN HONEY SAMPLES COLLECTED FROM ÇUKUROVA DISTRICT

Abstract

In this study, it was aimed to investigate whether amitraz and fluvalinate residues were present in the honey samples in Çukurova district and whether they would pose a risk for human health. Total 135 honey samples were used with 15 extracted flower honey samples from each of Adana center, Kadirli, Kozan, Osmaniye, Ceyhan, Karataş, Yumurtalık, Tarsus and Mersin centre. The honey samples represented 1550 beehives from Adana centre, 980 from Kadirli, 1050 from Kozan, 650 from Osmaniye, 750 from Ceyhan, 860 from Karataş, 740 from Yumurtalık, 800 from Mersin center, and 950 from Tarsus. Total beehives that the honey samples were taken were 8330. Honey samples were analyzed according to Hammerling method using gas chromatograhy with capillary column. In the result of analyses, although fluvalinate residues were not found in the honey samples, amitraz residues were found ranging from 1.34 to 33.48 ppm in 25 honey samples. The honeys from Çukurova district were contaminated with amitraz residues at which levels they would pose a risk to public health. It has been concluded that in the stage of production and consuming of honeys, precautions are required to be taken against pesticide residues up to the levels not to pose a risk for consumers.

2. Pollen performance of pomegranate under high-temperature stress

Abstract

The high-temperature stress (30 °C, 35 °C, 40 °C) response of pollen performance in Punica granatum was analyzed. Pollen germination rate and tube length were significantly inhibited after 35 °C and 40 °C treatment. According to cumulative stress response index values, 40 °C had the most destructive impact. High-temperature stress caused various abnormalities at tubes, especially at apex and the most common abnormalities were marked change of elongation direction and swelling. Although dense callose accumulation and increase in apex-localized reactive oxygen species was noticed at the apex after 35 °C and 40 °C temperature treatment, the most harmful temperature was stated as 40 °C.

Abstract

PURPOSE: To evaluate the frequency of abdominal computed tomography (CT) findings in patients with coronavirus disease-2019 (COVID-19) and interrogate the relationship between abdominal CT findings and patient demographic features, clinical findings, and laboratory test results as well as the CT atherosclerosis score in the abdominal aorta. METHODS: This study was designed as a multicenter retrospective study. The abdominal CT findings of 1.181 patients with positive abdominal symptoms from 26 tertiary medical centers with a positive polymerase chain-reaction test for severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 were reviewed. The frequency of ischemic and non-ischemic CT findings as well as the association between CT findings, clinical features, and abdominal aortic calcific atherosclerosis score (AA-CAS) were recorded. RESULTS: Ischemic and non-ischemic abdominal CT findings were detected in 240 (20.3%) and 328 (27.7%) patients, respectively. In 147 patients (12.4%), intra-abdominal malignancy was present. The most frequent ischemic abdominal CT findings were bowel wall thickening (n = 120; 10.2%) and perivascular infiltration (n = 40; 3.4%). As for non-ischemic findings, colitis (n = 91; 7.7%) and small bowel inflammation (n = 73; 6.2%) constituted the most frequent disease processes. The duration of hospital stay was found to be higher in patients with abdominal CT findings than in patients without any positive findings (13.8 ± 13 vs. 10.4 ± 12.8 days, P < 0.001). The frequency of abdominal CT findings was significantly higher in patients who did not survive the infection than in patients who were discharged after recovery (41.7% vs. 27.4%, P < 0.001). Increased AA-CAS was found to be associated with a higher risk of ischemic conditions in abdominal CT examinations. CONCLUSION: Abdominal symptoms in patients with COVID-19 are usually associated with positive CT findings. The presence of ischemic findings on CT correlates with poor COVID-19 outcomes. A high AA-CAS is associated with abdominal ischemic findings in patients with COVID-19.

4. Pilomatricoma of the Upper Extremities: A Case Report

Abstract

Pilomatricoma is a benign skin tumor, which is generally spotted in neck region along with the head. Isolated lesions are the usual detected. Malignant transformations are considered as seldom occurrences. A 17-year-old boy with a pilomatricoma on his left arm was presented as our case in this study. On ultrasonography, the hypoechoic solid lesion with calcification spots defined 15x8 mm sized, well-defined margins localized in the subcutaneous fatty tissue. Definitive diagnosis is made by histopathology. From histopathological point of view, shadow or ghost cells are characteristic. Pilomatricoma should be taken into consideration in the differential diagnosis of superficial or subcutaneous, painless masses of head, neck and extremities. Surgical excision is curative and the recurrent rate is low

Abstract

İnsan ihtiyaçlarının karşılanabilmesi amacıyla gerçekleştirilen üretim ve tüketim faaliyetleri atıkların ortaya çıkmasına neden olmaktadır. Atıkların insan ve çevre sağlığını riske atmadan işlenmesi ve/ veya bertaraf edilmesi atık yönetiminin temel amacıdır. Günümüzde birçok ülke, atık kaynaklı risklerin önlenebilmesi adına sıfır atık yönetimini benimsemiştir. Sıfır atık yönetimi kapsamında gerçekleştirilen atıkların yeniden kullanılması, geri dönüştürülmesi ve kazanılması gibi uygulamaların çevresel unsurlar üzerinde çeşitli etkileri bulunmaktadır. Sıfır atık yönetimi kapsamındaki uygulamaların hangilerinin çevre ve insan sağlığı açısından iyi ve doğru olduğunun tespit edilmesine yönelik tartışmalar, konuya insan ve çevre ilişkilerini sistematik bir şekilde inceleyen çevre etiği perspektifinden bakmayı mümkün kılmaktadır. Bu çalışmanın amacı, sıfır atık yönetiminin çevre etiği yaklaşımları açısından incelenmesi ve ilgili yönetimin söz konusu yaklaşımlar içerisindeki konumunun tespit edilmesidir. Çalışma kapsamında, sıfır atık yönetimi ve çevre etiği yaklaşımları incelenmiş, söz konusu atık yönetim sisteminin çevre merkezli etik yaklaşım içerisinde konumlandırılmasının daha doğru bir bakış açısı olacağı tespit edilmiştir.

7. A brief overview to give a new perspective on mole drainage

Abstract

Draining excess water from the soil is the general purpose of drainage. Thus, soil protection is provided and product losses are prevented. Mole drainage consists of underground galleries that act as piped drainage. This type of drainage is mostly used successfully in clay, organic, and highly cohesive soils. It is used successfully in areas with high groundwater, during the improvement of salty and sodium soils. The biggest benefit of mole drainage is cheap and economical. In the mole drainage method, tunnels are opened under the tillage depth with a torpedo-shaped piece at the end of a foot extending under the soil. These tunnels are called mole drains. In the mole drainage method, the channels are built with mole drain plows and subsoilers. In order to benefit more effectively from mole drainages, parameters such as suitable working width, working depth and slope must be finely adjusted. For this, modern alternatives such as GPS and laser positioning systems can be used.

Research Summary:\ud We draw on the political institutions approach and relational embeddedness perspective to advance a relational theory of policy risk. We argue that policy risk negatively affects acquisition completion, but the strength of the effect is dependent on home-host country relations. Home-host country relations underpin host governments' motivation to commit to policies and influence foreign acquirers' perceptions of the credibility of such commitments. Using longitudinal event data on intercountry interactions, we measure the valence and strength of home-host country relations and examine the relationship between policy risk and cross-border acquisition (CBA) completion under cooperative, conflictive, and ambivalent relations. In a sample of 26,124 CBAs, we find that the relationship is negative and strong under conflictive relations, weaker under cooperative relations, and weakest under ambivalent relations.\ud \ud Managerial Summary:\ud We examine whether acquirers can use intercountry relations to infer and predict host governments' credibility of commitment to policies and evaluate the risk of arbitrary or opportunistic policy changes. Results show that policy risk decreases the likelihood of CBA completion, but the effect depends on home-host country relations. The negative effect of policy risk is strongest under conflictive intercountry relations, weaker under cooperative relations, and weakest under ambivalent relations. Executives' evaluations of home-host country relations in high policy risk environments can help assess the risk associated with completing CBAs and develop appropriate strategies to address potential issues.

Abstract

Güven kavramı, siyaset bilimi literatüründe çok farklı bağlamlarda ve farklı türleri ile ele alınmıştır. Kurumsal güven bireylerin yaşadıkları ülkenin kurumlarına duydukları güvene işaret eder ve siyasal sistemlerin devamlılığı açısından da demokratikleşme bağlamında da etkili bir faktör olarak öne çıkmaktadır. Kurumsal güvenin belirleyicileri tartışmasında öne çıkan argümanlardan biri de toplumdaki dezavantajlı grupların kurumlara yönelik daha düşük güvene sahip olduklarıdır. Bu çalışma, bahsi geçen argümandan hareketle, kadınların erkeklere göre daha düşük kurumsal güvene sahip olup olmadığını sorgulamayı amaçlamaktadır. Bu sorgulamayı Dünya/Avrupa Değerler Araştırmalarının birleştirilmiş son dalgalarından gelen veri ile yapmaktadır. Bu noktadaki beklenti en azından cinsiyet eşitsizliğinin yüksek olduğu ülkelerde bu beklentinin doğrulanmasıdır. Ancak bulgular, kadınlar ve erkekler arasındaki farkın göz ardı edilebilecek kadar küçük olduğunu, bunun yerine literatürde işaret edilen iki önemli faktörün - siyasal sistemden memnuniyet ve toplumsal güven - öne çıktığını göstermektedir.

12. Lumbosacral transitional vertebrae: An overlooked cause of back pain on MRI

To evaluate the frequency of lumbosacral transitional vertebrae (LSTV) on MRI in patients with backpain and clinically suspected of sacroiliitis. Sacroiliac MRI of patients who had backpain and were clinically suspicious for sacroiliitis between November 2021-March 2022 were retrospectively analyzed from the hospital database by two different radiologists. LSTV cases were identified and subgrouped according to Castellvi classification. Presence of sacroiliitis, degeneration and /or herniation of cranial segment intervertebral disc, facet joint hypertrophy, coxarthrosis and psoas atrophy were recorded. In cases where radiologists were in conflict, consensus was made. Between November 2021-March 2022, 614 sacroiliac MRIs were obtained and 81 (13%) had LSTV. Fifty-nine patients were female (72.8%). Mean age was 43.4. The most common identified LSTV was type 1a (n=30, 10 right-sided, 20 left-sided). Sacroiliitis was significantly more common in younger patients (p=0.04) and in males (p=0.009). Disc degeneration, disc herniation, facet joint hypertrophy and psoas atrophy increased significantly with age (p=0.007, p=0.001, p=0.002 and p=0.013 respectively). No correlation was found between gender or presence of sacroiliitis and any type of LSTV.LSTV may present with backpain and should be considered in patients where sacroiliitis is clinically suspected. MRI is a useful tool to identify other accompanying pathologies in these cases.

14. DETERMINATION OF NOX EMISSION FACTOR FOR DIESEL ENGINES OF RECREATIONAL BOATS BY ON-BOARD MEASUREMENT

Abstract

In this study, NOx emissions from diesel engines of 75 recreational boats were measured on-board in accordance with the simplified method specified in the NOx Technical Code. The study was carried out in boats with ranging between 14.42 m-37.50 m in length and engines power varying between 138 kW–2,040 kW. NOx emissions were measured by using a portable exhaust gas analyser (Testo 350 Marine) in ppm in a dry basis. An in-house program was developed to calculate the final emission results in g/kWh. The main aim of the study is to develop NOx emission factors for recreational boats, which are not specifically included in previous emission factor studies. The NOx emissions of the marine diesel engines of the recreational boats were found in range of 0.92 g/kWh – 10.69 g/kWh while the mean emission factor was found as 4.81 g/kWh.

Abstract

In this study, three samples of GaN/AlInN/AlN/Al2O3 high electron mobility (HEMT) structures are investigated with high resolution X-ray diffraction (HR-XRD) technique. Peak positions and peak broadenings are used in calculations, gained from rocking curves. Structural quality is determined from symmetric and asymmetric peak planes. Mosaic defects such as treadening dilocations (TDs), tilt and twist angles, lateral and vertical crystallite lengths are determined by using Williamson Hall (WH) method. In addition to these, surface morphology is also investigated by atomic force microscopy (AFM). It is noticed that crystal quality of epitaxial layers decrease in the order of samples C, B and A. Al compositions for samples A, B and C are found as %87.4, %86.6 and %86.4, respectively by using Vegard’s law.

Abstract

Kanıta dayalı tıbbın en önem ilkesi; mevcut kanıtların değerlendirilmesi, en iyi kanıtlara ulaşılması ve bu kanıtlar doğrultusunda karar verilmesidir. Kanıta dayalı hemşirelik uygulamalarının temelini ise; hemşirelik alanındaki en iyi kanıtların üretilmesi, bu kanıtların klinik uzmanlık ve hasta tercihleri ile entegrasyonun sağlanarak hemşirelik bakımında kullanımı oluşturmaktadır. Bu kapsamda randomize kontrollü deneysel tasarımlar kanıtların üretilmesi ve hemşireleri klinik hemşirelik kararları konusunda bilgilendirilmesiyle doğrudan ilişkili ve vazgeçilemez konumdadır. Son yıllarda, hemşirelik alanında deneysel olarak tasarlanan ve yayınlanan çalışmaların sayısında artış görülmektedir. Ancak randomize kontrollü deneysel tasarımların metodolojisini, bulgularını eksiksiz, açık ve şeffaf bir şekilde sunulmasını sağlayan raporlama sistemlerinin kullanımıyla ilgili sınırlılıklar devam etmektedir. Bu nedenle randomize kontrollü çalışmaların raporlama standartlarını belirlemek, sistematik raporlama hatalarından kaçınmak için, hemşirelik araştırmalarının uluslararası geçerliliği olan kontrol listelerine göre raporlandırılması önemlidir. Bu derlemede, hemşirelik alanında randomize kontrollü çalışmaların Konsolide Raporlama Denemeleri Bildirimi (CONSORT) sistemine göre raporlanmasının önemini vurgulamak ve hemşirelik araştırmalarında non-farmakolojik CONSORT uzantısının kullanımı hakkında farkındalık oluşturmak amaçlanmıştır.

20. Potential visibility, growth, and technological innovation in offshore wind turbines installed in Europe

Abstract

One of the primary trends in the technological growth of offshore wind turbines is the movement toward larger-rotor machines with higher hub height. Recently, offshore wind turbine sizes, especially hub height, rotor diameter, and nameplate capacity, have increased dramatically and are expected to increase further. This growth in offshore wind turbine size enhances the turbine power coefficient for the same wind speeds significantly and also led to the reductions of levelized cost of electricity (LCOE) and total installed cost (TIC) of the turbines. This work examines the growth in the nameplate size and capacity of offshore wind turbines installed in Europe through the years as new installations and total installations. Effects and results of this growth in nameplate size and capacity on the LCOE, TIC, wind farm capacity, turbine-specific power capacity, turbine capacity factor (CF), sea surface area needed per GW, and the number of turbines per GW are examined and discussed in detail. As a result, this study aims to contribute to the literature and provide technical and innovative information to turbine manufacturers by presenting various aspects of offshore wind turbine technology development in Europe. The rapid technological developments in this sector show that the average CF has increased from 42 to 44% in the last decade, and the LCOE value has reduced from 0.156 USD/kWh to 0.096 USD/kWh.

Sanayileşme ile artan kentleşme; kentlerde nüfus yoğunluğunu arttırmış, gelişen bu süreç nedeniyle kent içi ulaşım da önem kazanmaya başlamıştır. Şehirdeki insanları ve mekanları birbirine bağlayan ulaşım ağı çeşitlidir. Toplu taşıma araçlarından; otobüsler, metrolar, vapurlar, dolmuşlar, taksiler kent içi ulaşımda önemli bir yer tutmaktadır. Buna ek olarak belediyeler martı, tazı, bisiklet gibi alternatif ulaşım araçlarını da halkın hizmetine sunmaktadır. Kent içi ulaşım, öğrenciler için oldukça önemlidir. Nitel olarak tasarlanan bu çalışmada, öğrenci kenti olarak tanımlayabileceğimiz Çanakkale’de üniversite öğrencilerinin kent içi ulaşıma bakış açıları, öğrenciler için kent içi ulaşımın olumlu ve olumsuz uygulamaları tespit edilmeye çalışılmıştır. Çalışmada yarı yapılandırılmış görüşme formu kullanılmış, görüşmeler ekonomik ve zaman kısıtı nedeniyle Terzioğlu Kampüsü ve Anafartalar Kampüsündeki 40 öğrenciyle sınırlandırılmıştır. Yapılan görüşmeler sonucu elde edilen veriler Maxqda Analitik 2020 programında kodlanmış ve anlamlı bilgiler haline getirilmeye çalışılmıştır. Çalışma sonucunda Çanakkale Onsekiz Mart Üniversitesi öğrencilerinin kent içi ulaşımdan genel olarak memnun olmadıkları, kent içi ulaşımı pahalı buldukları ve kent içi ulaşımın geliştirilmesine ve iyileştirilmesine yönelik fikirlerine değinilmiştir. Bunlara ek olarak çalışmanın içinde katılımcıların vermiş olduğu bazı cevaplar doğrudan alıntılanarak metin güçlendirilmiştir.

23. Cardiopulmonary bypass weaning process, encountered challenges, and the management

Abstract

Weaning from cardiopulmonary bypass (CPB) requires the heart to resume its function as the driving force of blood flow, taking over from the mechanical pump in the CPB circuit. Weaning, the process of transition from CPB to physiological circulation, requires excellent communication and teamwork between the perfusionist, surgeon, and anesthetist. Cardiac function must be optimized prior to weaning from CPB to achieve a smooth transition. Delays in investigating or treating abnormal parameters may lead to the heart failing, necessitating a return to extracorporeal circulation. Consequently, anticipation of possible cardiac dysfunction and thorough advance preparation are key elements of the weaning process. This article aimed to mention the weaning process, difficulties, and management of CPB.

24. Connectedness and spillover effects of US climate policy uncertainty on energy stock, alternative energy stock, and carbon future

Abstract

While financial assets are responsive to policy changes and development, climate change policies are becoming increasingly unpredictable, making policy decision less certain. This study investigates connectedness and spillover effects of US climate policy uncertainty on energy stocks, alternative energy stocks, and carbon emissions futures. We analyzed spillover and connectedness before and after the Paris Agreement. We employed monthly frequency data from August 2005 to March 2021 and applied DY (2012) method and MGARCH approach. We found that world energy stocks and carbon emissions futures are connected to US climate policy uncertainty. Uncertainty in climate policy and world energy stocks act as information transmitters in return spillover, while global alternative energy and carbon market are shock receivers. On volatility spillover, climate policy uncertainty, energy stocks, and carbon emissions future are shocks transmitters, while alternative energy stocks are receivers. We observe increase in connectedness following the Paris Agreement suggesting strengthened global efforts in tackling climate change. DCC and ADCC estimations revealed spillover effects of climate policy on futures returns and volatilities of world energy stocks and carbon emissions futures and the shocks could be transmitted through to the energy sector. During period of uncertainty in US climate policy, carbon allowances can potentially serve as a safe haven for energy stocks and provide downside protection for alternative energy stocks, hence hedging against climate transition risks.

Abstract

Recent studies have revealed that there is existence of a specific waste clearance pathway in the brain, coined the glymphatic system. This case report demonstrates supportive finding of drainage of Gadolinium and waste products released after Laser Interstitial Thermal Therapy via perivenous routes and a paradural lymphatic system. These findings provide further evidence of interstitial fluid drainage along the perivenous spaces in accordance with a glymphatic system theory.

29. The Background on Executive Background: An Integrative Review

Abstract

This study reviews several decades of research on the topic of executive background, defined here as the total of an executive's “experience, knowledge, and education.” We consider work from both management and nonmanagement sources and from both macro and micro sources within management. Our review of 216 published empirical articles is structured around a series of widely studied executive background characteristics and categories, including tenure, functional background, knowledge and education, outsider/insider status, other professional experiences, and experiences outside the workplace. This narrative review is underpinned and informed by an inductively derived framework comprised of five key dimensions that represent distinct ways in which specific experiences can be conceptualized: visibility, timing, frequency, discreteness, and agency. We conclude our narrative review with a quantitative, bibliometric analysis illustrating some of the key patterns within the most recent work in this domain. Finally, we use the insights arising from our review to provide a set of theoretical and methodological recommendations for future work in this area.

31. Urban Expansion Trends, Prediction and Its Impact on Agricultural Lands in Erbil Using GIS and Remote Sensing

Abstract

The surrounding agricultural lands in the city have been decreasing daily due to the expansion of urbanisation above it and the increase in the urbanisation rate in the study area, as the population growth exerted increasing pressures on the city. Furthermore, the increase in population increases the demand for land for housing and other human services, which will impact agricultural lands. In addition, the lack of proper planning in the city contributes to expanding urbanisation at the expense of agricultural land. This study aims to study the urban expansion in the direction of agricultural lands in Erbil from the year 2000 until 2020, reveal the reasons for the urban expansion in the city and put an end to the trespassers on the lands and it has negative impact on the lack of agricultural areas and the encroachment of urbanisation on it. Landsat TM 5 and Landsat 8 OLI will be used to identify and develop urban growth and its impacts on agriculture and some Remote sensing Data and GIS from 2000 to 2020 with 10 years difference to find the changes in these years and also provide a predicted map for Erbil governorate. The study recommended the necessity of preparing a strategic plan for the use of agricultural lands that regulates the urban development process of the population centres and achieves the appropriate and sustainable use of agricultural lands and their preservation. Encouraging the investment of lands and cultivation of crops to meet the population's need for vegetables and other crops. The findings of this study will help decision-makers develop future urbanisation policies, and it is worthwhile to investigate them further. The prediction model will demonstrate whether built-up areas will continue to grow or not and whether the average agricultural areas will continue to shrink based on regression analysis. Planning effective urban environmental management can benefit from this type of forecast of the LULC picture in the future.

Abstract

Due to its high mobility, hip joint plays a crucial role in executing many movements such as standing, sitting, running, crouching. The distribution of mechanoreceptors and neural elements in anatomical structures that provide stabilization of the hip joint is important in determining the optimal surgical incision site for the hip joint stabilizers in patients with coxarthrosis. Various studies have been conducted about the mechanoreceptors and distribution of neural elements in structures such as the transvers acetabular ligament, teres (round) ligament of femur, acetabular labrum and hip joint capsule with using various staining methods. To our knowledge, there is insufficient information about the mechanoreceptor distribution within the anatomic structures that participate in stabilization of the hip joint. This study is planned to examine the distribution of mechanoreceptors in the transverse acetabular ligament, teres ligament, acetabular labrum and joint capsule in samples obtained during the surgery who are operated for hip replacement surgery due to severe coxarthrosis. Each specimen was stained with silver impregnation technique and density of mechanoreceptors were estimated by stereological method. Teres ligament has the highest number of mechanoreceptors among all other specimens. Within the joint capsule, mechanoreceptors were most abundant at its antero-inferior part, whereas its anterior part contained the lowest number of mechanoreceptors. These results suggest that, as the anterior part of hip capsule bears the lowest number of mechanoreceptors, it might be safer for incision during total hip arthroplasty surgery. Abstract

Kamu yönetimi anlayışında yaşanan paradigma değişimi, afet yönetiminde de birtakım değişiklikleri beraberinde getirmiştir. Bürokratik uzmanlık gerektiren komuta kontrol esaslı merkeziyetçi ve bürokratik afet yönetimi anlayışı yerine yetki ve sorumlulukların yukarıdan aşağıya kurgulanmadığı çok aktörlü ve dayanışmacı afet yönetimi anlayışı ağırlık kazanmıştır. Bu kapsamda, “Afet yönetimi politikalarında merkeziyetçi/bürokratik afet yönetimi ile çok aktörlü/dayanışmacı afet yönetimi modellerinden hangisinin ağırlıklı olarak uygulandığının belirlenmesi” araştırmanın problemi olarak belirlenmiş olup bu kapsamda, “afet yönetimine ilişkin karar verme yetkisi ve uygulama sorumluğu merkezi hükümet, yerel yönetimler ve sivil toplum kuruluşları arasında nasıl paylaştırılmaktadır?” sorusuna cevap aranmıştır. Araştırma, 2020 yılında yeryüzünde meydana gelen depremler arasında en ölümcül deprem olarak kayıtlara geçen 2020 Ege Denizi Depreminin nitel ve karma yöntemlerin analizinde kullanılan MAXQDA Analytics Pro 20 programıyla içerik analizi şeklinde incelenmesini kapsamaktadır. Araştırmada kullanılan veriler; merkezi yönetim kapsamında İzmir Valiliği ve Afet ve Acil Durum Yönetimi Başkanlığı’nın, yerel yönetimler kapsamında İzmir Büyükşehir Belediyesi ve Seferihisar Belediyesi’nin sivil toplum kuruluşlarının kapsamında ise AKUT ve İHH İnsanı Yardım Vakfı’nın resmi Twitter hesaplarına ait 30-31 Ekim ve 1 Kasım 2020 tarihindeki paylaşımları içermektedir. Araştırmada sonuç olarak, çok aktörlü / dayanışmacı afet yönetimi yaklaşımının politika belgelerinde yer aldığı ancak afet anında yetki ve sorumluluğun ağırlıklı olarak merkezi yönetimin kontrolünde yürütüldüğü sonucuna varılmıştır.

Abstract

Hissedilen sıcaklık daha çok yaz aylarında gündeme gelen bir kavramdır. Termometre ile ölçülen hava sıcaklığından farklı olarak, insan vücudunun hissettiği ya da algıladığı sıcaklık olarak tanımlanabilir. Ölçülebilen meteorolojik verilerle birlikte insanların cinsiyet, giysi, metabolizma ve psikolojik durumları gibi parametreler de hissedilen sıcaklık kavramına dahil edilmiştir. Bu nedenle hissedilen sıcaklık kişiden kişiye farklılık gösterebilir. Hissedilen sıcaklık sübjektif bir kavram olmakla birlikte birçok bilimsel çalışmaya konu olmuştur. Fiziksel olarak ölçülemeyen parametreler, kişiler üzerinde yapılan deneysel çalışmalardan elde edilen sonuçların değerlendirilmesi ile hissedilen sıcaklık kavramına dahil edilmişlerdir. Bu çalışmada ise, meteoroloji istasyonlarında ölçümü gerçekleştirilen parametrelere dayalı olan hissedilen sıcaklık hesaplama yöntemlerinden biri kullanılmıştır. Meteoroloji Genel Müdürlüğünden alınan sıcaklık, bağıl nem, atmosferik basınç ve rüzgâr hızı verileri kullanılarak, Adana için hissedilen sıcaklık değerleri hesaplanmıştır. Elde edilen sonuçlara göre, Adana’da dış ortam iklim koşullarının yılın %63,2’sinde normal sıcaklık aralığında, buna karşılık %18,7 oranında sıcak ve %18,1 oranında da çok sıcak olduğu söylenebilir.

Abstract

This paper presents the gravitational-wave measurement of the Hubble constant (H 0) using the detections from the first and second observing runs of the Advanced LIGO and Virgo detector network. The presence of the transient electromagnetic counterpart of the binary neutron star GW170817 led to the first standard-siren measurement of H 0. Here we additionally use binary black hole detections in conjunction with galaxy catalogs and report a joint measurement. Our updated measurement is H 0 = km s-1 Mpc-1 (68.3% of the highest density posterior interval with a flat-in-log prior) which is an improvement by a factor of 1.04 (about 4%) over the GW170817-only value of km s-1 Mpc-1. A significant additional contribution currently comes from GW170814, a loud and well-localized detection from a part of the sky thoroughly covered by the Dark Energy Survey. With numerous detections anticipated over the upcoming years, an exhaustive understanding of other systematic effects are also going to become increasingly important. Abstract

Aim Seroma that can be seen after endoscopic completely extraperitoneal inguinal hernioplasty (TEP) is a major problem in patients who are concerned about recurrence.In this study,a prospective study design was prepared in our clinic in order to see the incidence of seroma afterTEP and the effect of closed system negative pressure drainage, which is one of the methods thought to reduce it. Methods January2021-February2022patients who will undergo unilateral TEP were randomly selected and divided into two groups.Group I was the group where a drain would be placed after TEP,and Group II was the group where no drain was placed after TEP.A hemovac drain was placed behind the mesh, with the perforated end of the drain coming into the preperitoneal cavity,in the patients in Group I.All cases were anatomical 3Dmesh(3DMax™Mesh,BD,USA)was applied to all cases. Results There were 41patients in Group I and 39patients in Group II.73 of the patients were male and 8 were female.According to the EHS classification,47of the hernias wereL1 and 33 were M1 hernias.On the 7th postoperative day,seroma was observed in 5patients in Group I and13 patients in Group II (p Conclusion The frequent occurrence of seroma after TEP is confused with recurrence, especially after hernia surgery.This may cause fear and panic in the patient.It is effective for the patients to come to the surgeon who performs the operation at regular intervals for control in order to eliminate the concerns of the patients.

40. An AI based classifier model for lateral pillar classification of Legg–Calve–Perthes

Abstract

We intended to compare the doctors with a convolutional neural network (CNN) that we had trained using our own unique method for the Lateral Pillar Classification (LPC) of Legg–Calve–Perthes Disease (LCPD). Thousands of training data sets are frequently required for artificial intelligence (AI) applications in medicine. Since we did not have enough real patient radiographs to train a CNN, we devised a novel method to obtain them. We trained the CNN model with the data we created by modifying the normal hip radiographs. No real patient radiographs were ever used during the training phase. We tested the CNN model on 81 hips with LCPD. Firstly, we detected the interobserver reliability of the whole system and then the reliability of CNN alone. Second, the consensus list was used to compare the results of 11 doctors and the CNN model. Percentage agreement and interobserver analysis revealed that CNN had good reliability (ICC = 0.868). CNN has achieved a 76.54% classification performance and outperformed 9 out of 11 doctors. The CNN, which we trained with the aforementioned method, can now provide better results than doctors. In the future, as training data evolves and improves, we anticipate that AI will perform significantly better than physicians.

Amaç: Araştırmada huzurevinde yaşayan bireylerde kinezyofobi (hareket etme korkusu), nedenleri ve ilişkili faktörlerin değerlendirilmesi amaçlandı. Gereç ve Yöntem: Konya il merkezinde bulunan Huzurevi Yaşlı Bakım Rehabilitasyon Merkezi’nde yaşayan dâhil edilme kriterlerine uyan 86 yaşlı birey ile araştırma yürütüldü. Veriler kişisel bilgi formu, Tampa Kinezyofobi Ölçeği, Kinezyofobi Nedenleri Ölçeği, Berg Denge Ölçeği ve Otur Kalk Testi ile toplandı. Verilerin değerlendirilmesinde Mann Whitney U testi, Kruskal Wallis testi ve Lineer regresyon modeli kullanıldı. Bulgular: Huzurevinde yaşayan yaşlı bireylerin ortalama Tampa Kinezyofobi ölçek puanı 43,72 olarak bulundu. Kinezyofobi nedenleri incelendiğinde biyolojik alandaki ölçek puanı daha yüksek bulundu. Regresyon analizi sonucunda ise kinezyofobi ile ilişkili faktörlerin hareket etmek için yardımcı araç kullanma, sürekli ilaç kullanma, günlük aktivitelerde denge sorunu yaşama durumu ve Otur Kalk Testi puanı olduğu belirlendi. Oluşturulan model tarafından bağımlı değişkeninin %53.4’lük kısmı açıklanabilmektedir. Huzurevinde yaşayan yaşlı bireylerde kinezyofobi yüksek bulundu. Sonuç: Yardımcı araç kullanan, sürekli ilaç kullanan, denge sorunu olan ve alt ekstremite gücü düşük olan bireylerde kinezyofobi daha yüksektir. Yaşlı bireylerin kapsamlı geriatrik değerlendirilmesinde kinezyofobiye de odaklanılmalı, kinezyofobinin önemi ve nedenleri hakkında bireyler bilgilendirmelidir.

Abstract

Matematiksel modelleme etkinliklerinin öğrenme ve öğretme sürecinde olması için, öğretim programının uygulayıcısı olacak öğretmen adaylarının, etkinliği dahil edecekleri dersin planını yaparken uygun etkinlikleri ne şekilde seçeceklerini ya da uygun bir etkinliğin ne şekilde oluşturulacağını bilmeleri gerekmektedir. Bu çalışmada da, matematik öğretmeni adaylarının matematiksel modelleme etkinliği oluşturma ve sınıf ortamında etkinliği uygulama süreçlerinin incelenmesi amaçlanmıştır. Durum çalışmasının kullanıldığı bu araştırma, bir devlet üniversitesinde matematik öğretmenliği son sınıfında öğrenim gören öğretmen adaylarının katılımı ile gerçekleştirilmiştir. Çalışmaya katılan 16 matematik öğretmeni adayına altı hafta boyunca toplam 12 saat matematiksel modelleme eğitimi verilmiş, ardından birer matematiksel modelleme etkinliği oluşturmaları istenmiştir. Oluşturulan etkinlikler matematiksel modelleme prensiplerine göre değerlendirilmiştir. Öğretmen adaylarının seçtikleri matematiksel modelleme etkinliğini sınıflarında uygulama süreçlerini ve öğretmen adaylarının uygulama yeterliklerini belirleyebilmek için yarı yapılandırılmış gözlem formu ile ders gözlemleri yapılmıştır. Sınıf içerisinde etkinliği uygularken elde edilen bulgular ise öğretmen adaylarının öğretim süreci sonunda matematiksel modelleme uygulama becerilerinin beklenilen düzeyde olduğunu göstermektedir.

Abstract

Orthogonal metric space is a considerable generalization of a usual metric space obtained by establishing a perpendicular relation on a set. Very recently, the notions of orthogonality of the set and orthogonality of the metric space are described and notable fixed point theorems are given in orthogonal metric spaces. Some fixed point theorems for the generalizations of contraction principle via altering distance functions on orthogonal metric spaces are presented and proved in this paper. Furthermore, an example is presented to clarify these theorems.

47. Levels of Vitamin D in Some Vitamin D Veterinary Preparations Kept in Different Storage Conditions

Abstract

Bu çalışmada, enjektabl preparatlarda vitamin D 3'ün stabilitesi için uygun saklama koşullarının belirlenmesi amaçlanmıştır. Enjekte edilebilir D vitamini preparatlarında vitamin D 3'ün farklı saklama koşulları altında zamana göre değişimleri belirlendi. Mühürsüz (analizin 0. gününde müstahzar mührü açılmış, diğer günlerde analizler için aynı müstahzar kullanılmıştır) ve mühürlü müstahzarlarda (her analiz gününde yeni müstahzar mührü açılarak analiz yapılmıştır) vitamin D analizleri yapılmıştır. 0, 7, 14, 28 ve 56. günlerde güncel ABD Farmakopesinin değiştirilmiş ve doğrulanmış bir yöntemiyle gerçekleştirilmiştir. D3 vitamini değişikliklerinin 4 °C'de saklama koşulları altında 25 °C'ye göre daha yüksek olduğu bulundu. D vitamini oranı 3Mühürsüz müstahzarlardaki değişiklikler, farklı saklama koşulları altındaki mühürlü müstahzarlara kıyasla önemli ölçüde arttı. Sonuç olarak, enjekte edilebilir vitamin preparatları açıldıktan sonra, oda sıcaklığında ve ışıksız çevre koşullarında uygun şekilde saklanabilmektedir.

Abstract

2050’li yıllara gelindiğinde kente yaşayanların oranın %68 olacağı tahmin edilmekte ve kente yaşayan insanlarda kentlilik bilincinin oluşması daha da elzem hale gelmektedir. Kentlilik bilincinin oluşturulması için en önemli araç ise eğitimdir. Bu bağlamda araştırmanın problemi “kentlilik bilincinin oluşturulmasında ilkokul ders kitaplarının rolün nedir?” şeklinde belirlenmiştir. Araştırmanın amacı, kentlilik bilincinin ilkokul kitaplarında hangi boyutlarla yer aldığının belirlenmesi ve ilkokul kitaplarının, çocukların kentlilik bilincine yönelik algılarına ne ölçüde etki ettiğini değerlendirmektir. Çalışmanın kapsamına Millî Eğitim Bakanlığı tarafından hazırlanmış ilkokul, ortaokul ve lise düzeyindeki tüm ders kitapları girmektedir. Ancak, araştırma zaman kısıtı nedeniyle ilkokul düzeyindeki Türkçe, Hayat Bilgisi ve Sosyal Bilgiler derslerinin kitaplarıyla sınırlandırılmıştır. Ayrıca bulguları desteklemek amacıyla ilkokul düzeyinde olan 20 kişi ile görüşme sağlanmıştır. Araştırma nitel araştırma desenlerinden örnek olay araştırması şeklinde tasarlanmıştır. Veriler doküman incelemesi ve görüşme yöntemleriyle toplanmıştır. 7 tema/kategori ve 16 kod/kavram altında organize edilen veriler içerik analizi tekniğiyle çözümlenmiştir. Analizlerde, MAXQDA Analytics Pro 20 (20.2.2 demo sürümü) kullanılmıştır. Sonuç olarak ders kitaplarında çevre bilinci, ortak yaşama bilincinin oluşması ve kültürel ve tarihsel değerlerin farkındalığı konularına daha çok ağrılık verildiği görülmüştür. Katılımcılar ise kamusal alan, çevre bilinci ve kültürel ve tarihsel değerlerin farkındalığı konularına daha çok ağırlık vermiştir.

Abstract

Bu çalışmada, metal organic kimyasal buhar biriktirme(MOCVD) yöntemiyle büyütülen InGaN/GaN/Al2O3 yapısının yapısal ve morfolojik özellikleri incelendi. GaN’ın kristal boyutu X-ışını kırınımı (XRD) tekniği ile belirlendi. Raman spektrumu kullanılarak kalibrasyon katsayısı belirlendi. Kalibrasyon katsayısı ve termoelektrik figure (ZT) yapıdaki GaN’a ait yığın sayısını tahmin etmek için kullanıldı. Yığın sayısı (N) yapısal bir özelliktir ve onu kullanarak optik bir özellik olan soğurma katsayısı belirlendi. Atomik kuvvet mikroskobisi (AFM) ve tarama elektron mikroskobisi (SEM) kullanılarak numunenin toplam kalınlığı tam olarak belirlendi ve birbiri ile kıyaslandı. Bu çalışmada kullanılan numune sadece bir örnek teşkil eder. Eğer doğru katsayılar bulunabilirse farklı yapılara da uyarlanabilir. Bu çalışmanın önemi, farklı numunelerin optik, yapısal ve morfolojik özelliklerini belirleyebilmek için anahtar rolü oynamasıdır., In this study structural and morphological properties of InGaN/GaN/Al2O3 structure, grown by Metal Organic Chemical Vapor Deposition (MOCVD) technique, is investigated. Crystal size of GaN in the structure is determined by using X-Ray Diffraction (XRD) techique. By the help of Raman spectra calibration coefficient is gained. This calibration coefficient and Termoelectric figure (ZT) of GaN is used to estimate number of stacks of GaN in the structure. Number of stacks (N) is a structural property and by using it an optical property, absorption coefficient, is determined. Using Atomic Force Microscopy (AFM) and Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM) images total thickness of the sample is determined accurately and they are compared with each other. The sample used in this study is only for an example. The methods used in this study can be applied to different structures if right coefficients can be found. The importance of this study is that it plays a key role for determining structural, optical and morphological features of different samples.

Bu çalışma farklı şeker darısı genotiplerinin, Akdeniz iklim koşullarında ikinci ürün olarak yem bitkisi potansiyellerinin belirlenmesi amacıyla 2020 yılında yürütülmüştür. Bitki materyali olarak üç farklı şeker darısı genotipi (Erdurmuş, Uzun ve M81-E hattı) ve dört farklı azot dozu (0, 7.5 12.5, 17.5 kg da-1) kullanılmıştır. Tesadüf bloklarında 3 tekerrürlü olarak kurulan ararştırmada; bitki boyu, sap çapı, m2 deki bitki sayısı, yaprak sayısı, yaprak ve sap oranı, yeşil ot verimi ve kuru madde verimi gibi bazı parametreler incelenmiştir. Araştırma sonuçlarına göre; sap çapı, yaprak sayısı, yeşil ot verimi ve kuru madde verimi parametleri açısından en yüksek değerler M81-E çeşidinden alınmıştır. Çeşitlerin yeşil ot verim değerleri 2969.9 ve 5815.0 kg da-1 arasında; kuru madde verim değerleri ise 1105.7 ve 2837.8 kg da-1 arasında değişmektedir. Azot dozları açısından ise yeşil ot verim değerleri 2920.1 ve 4674.6 kg da-1 arasındadır. En yüksek yeşil ot verimleri aynı istatistiki gruba giren 12.5 ve 17.5 kg da-1 azot dozlarından elde edilmiştir. Aşırı kimyasal gübre kullanımının olumsuz çevresel etkileri olduğundan dolayı, şeker darısında 12.5 kg da-1 azot dozu ile gübreleme önerilebilir., This study was carried out to determine the forage production potentials of different sweet sorghum genotypes under Mediterranean-type climate conditions as the second crop in 2020. Three different sweet sorghum genotypes (Erdurmuş, Uzun varieties, and M81-E line) and four nitrogen doses (0.0, 7.5 12.5, 17.5 kg da-1) were used in this research. The experimental design was a randomized complete block with three replications. Some parameters such as plant height, stem diameter, plant number per m2, leaf number, leaf and stem ratio, forage yield, and dry matter yield of sweet sorghum genotiyps were investigated in the experiment. According to the results, M81-E gave the highest values in terms of stem diameter, leaf number, forage yield, and dry matter yield parameter compared to other genotypes. Forage yield values of the genotypes were between 2969.9 and 5815.0 kg da-1 and dry matter yield values were 1105.7 and 2837.8 kg da-1. Forage yield values vary between 2920.1 and 4674.6 kg da-1 for the nitrogen doses. The highest forage yield was obtained at 12.5 and 17.5 kg da-1 nitrogen doses, which were in the same statistical group. Fertilization can be made with a 12.5 kg da-1 nitrogen dose in sweet sorghum due to the negative environmental effects of chemical fertilizers.
