General Medicine - Abstract
The quality of the close relationship between parents and children is difficult for parents of children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). Many parents do not have the communication competence to build strong interaction with autistic children, which causes interaction patterns at home to be inappropriate. This study aims to determine the influence of communication competence on the relationship quality of parents and children, determine the effect of family communication patterns on the relationship quality of parents and children, determine the effect of family communication patterns on relational maintenance behaviour, determine the effect of relational maintenance behaviour on relationship quality of parents and children, determine the role of relational maintenance behaviour as a mediator of the influence between communication competence and family communication patterns on the quality of the relationship between parents and children. This study uses quantitative research methods with survey methods and purposive sampling techniques. The results of the sample (N=202) indicate that communication competence significantly affects the quality of the relationship between parents and children, family communication patterns significantly affect the quality of the relationship between parents and children, family communication patterns significantly affect relational maintenance behaviour, and relational maintenance behaviour significantly affects the relationship on the quality of the relationship between parents and children, and relational maintenance significantly mediates the influence between communication competence and family communication patterns on the quality of the relationship between parents and children.

Background: We aim to assess whether time of day modified the treatment effect in the RACECAT trial (Direct Transfer to an Endovascular Center Compared to Transfer to the Closest Stroke Center in Acute Stroke Patients With Suspected Large Vessel Occlusion Trial), a cluster-randomized trial that did not demonstrate the benefit of direct transportation to a thrombectomy-capable center versus nearest local stroke center for patients with a suspected large vessel stroke triaged in nonurban Catalonia between March 2017 and June 2020. Methods: We performed a post hoc analysis of RACECAT to evaluate if the association between initial transport routing and functional outcome differed according to trial enrollment time: daytime (8:00 am –8:59 pm ) and nighttime (9:00 pm –7:59 am ). Primary outcome was disability at 90 days, as assessed by the shift analysis on the modified Rankin Scale score, in patients with ischemic stroke. Subgroup analyses according to stroke subtype were evaluated. Results: We included 949 patients with an ischemic stroke, of whom 258 patients(27%) were enrolled during nighttime. Among patients enrolled during nighttime, direct transport to a thrombectomy-capable center was associated with lower degrees of disability at 90 days (adjusted common odds ratio [acOR], 1.620 [95% CI, 1.020–2.551]); no significant difference between trial groups was present during daytime (acOR, 0.890 [95% CI, 0.680–1.163]; P interaction =0.014). Influence of nighttime on the treatment effect was only evident in patients with large vessel occlusion(daytime, acOR 0.766 [95% CI, 0.548–1.072]; nighttime, acOR, 1.785 [95% CI, 1.024–3.112] ; P interaction P interaction >0.1 for all comparisons). We observed longer delays in alteplase administration, interhospital transfers, and mechanical thrombectomy initiation during nighttime in patients allocated to local stroke centers. Conclusions: Among patients evaluated during nighttime for a suspected acute severe stroke in non-urban areas of Catalonia, direct transport to a thrombectomy-capable center was associated with lower degrees of disability at 90 days. This association was only evident in patients with confirmed large vessel occlusion on vascular imaging. Time delays in alteplase administration and interhospital transfers might mediate the observed differences in clinical outcome. The article presents the first documented evidence of a solar hierophany in a Talayotic monument on the island of Menorca. As the sun path approaches the horizon on the winter solstice day, there is a time frame in which the sun is at the same apparent height as the window on the facade of the west taula enclosure of So na Caçana. At that time of the year, a ray of light goes through that window, illuminating the floor in front of the space where the divine representations were placed. The documentation of this phenomenon provides completely new data about the rituals that took place in these sanctuaries, and it establishes a precise and important date in the unknown calendar used by Menorcan communities during the second Iron Age.

- Abstract

Background: We aim to compare the outcome of patients from urban areas, where the referral center is able to perform thrombectomy, with patients from nonurban areas enrolled in the RACECAT trial (Direct Transfer to an Endovascular Center Compared to Transfer to the Closest Stroke Center in Acute Stroke Patients With Suspected Large Vessel Occlusion). Methods: Patients with suspected large vessel occlusion stroke, as evaluated by a Rapid Arterial Occlusion Evaluation score of ≥5, from urban catchment areas of thrombectomy-capable centers during RACECAT trial enrollment period were included in the Stroke Code Registry of Catalonia. Primary outcome was disability at 90 days, as assessed by the shift analysis on the modified Rankin Scale score, in patients with an ischemic stroke. Secondary outcomes included mortality at 90 days, rate of thrombolysis and thrombectomy, time from onset to thrombolysis, and thrombectomy initiation. Propensity score matching was used to assemble a cohort of patients with similar characteristics. Results: The analysis included 1369 patients from nonurban areas and 2502 patients from urban areas. We matched 920 patients with an ischemic stroke from urban areas and nonurban areas based on their propensity scores. Patients with ischemic stroke from nonurban areas had higher degrees of disability at 90 days (median [interquartle range] modified Rankin Scale score, 3 [2–5] versus 3 [1–5], common odds ratio, 1.25 [95% CI, 1.06–1.48]); the observed average effect was only significant in patients with large vessel stroke (common odds ratio, 1.36 [95% CI, 1.08–1.65]). Mortality rate was similar between groups(odds ratio, 1.02 [95% CI, 0.81–1.28]). Patients from nonurban areas had higher odds of receiving thrombolysis (odds ratio, 1.36 [95% CI, 1.16–1.67]), lower odds of receiving thrombectomy(odds ratio, 0.61 [95% CI, 0.51–0.75]), and longer time from stroke onset to thrombolysis (mean difference 38 minutes [95% CI, 25–52]) and thrombectomy(mean difference 66 minutes [95% CI, 37–95]). Conclusions: In Catalonia, Spain, patients with large vessel occlusion stroke triaged in nonurban areas had worse neurological outcomes than patients from urban areas, where the referral center was able to perform thrombectomy. Interventions aimed at improving organizational practices and the development of thrombectomy capabilities in centers located in remote areas should be pursued. The paper presents the territorial and axiological context and the peculiarities of the participatory project developed by the Polis Research Centre and the Bon Pastor Neighbourhood Association, as well as the first steps in the design of two interventions. The first intervention, the Wall and Party Walls in Rodriguez de la Fuente Square, is proposed within the framework of the sustainable development strategies of Barcelona City Council. Its main objective is to achieve thermal insulation of the affected dwellings, thus contributing to the well being of the residents and to the reduction of CO2 emissions into the atmosphere. Besides, it is aimed to solve landscape discontinuity. In the lower part of the party walls, there is a wall, a kind of plinth that the residents have chosen as a site for the expansion of the work on the civic remembrance of the neighbourhood. There, the “Living Memory” space will be set up, reserved for interventions by children from the quarter’s schools through a work programme run in cooperation with them. The second intervention is the case of the centennial Mulberry Tree classified as a tree of local interest. In 2018, the mulberry tree suffered some damage from thugs who threw firecrackers inside. Therefore, the need was pointed out to reorganise the space around the tree in order to create dissuasive effects and preserve its integrity. These are preliminary studies to be discussed by the agents involved in the project: the Sant Andreu District, the IMPUQV (Institut Municipal del Paisatge Urbài la Qualitat de Vida), and the Bon Pastor Neighbourhood Association.

Background: Anandamide (AEA) and 2-arachidonoylglycerol (2-AG) play a pivotal role in stimulating motivational behavior toward food and energy metabolism. Aberrant functioning of the endocannabinoid system has been observed in extreme weight conditions (EWCs), suggesting it may influence pathophysiology. Then, we aimed to analyze fasting AEA and 2-AG plasma concentrations among individuals with EWC (i.e., anorexia nervosa [AN] and obesity with and without eating disorders [EDs]) compared with healthy controls (HCs), and its association with clinical variables and body mass index (BMI). Methods: The sample included 113 adult women. Fifty-seven belonged to the obesity group, 37 without EDs (OB-ED) and 20 with ED (OB+ED classified within the binge spectrum disorders), 27 individuals from the AN group, and 29 from the HC group. Peripheral blood samples, several clinical variables, and BMI were evaluated. Results: Unlike 2-AG, AEA concentrations showed significant differences between groups (p < 0.001). Increased AEA was observed in the OB-ED and OB+ED compared with both HC and AN group, respectively. Likewise, AEA was differentially associated with emotional dysregulation, general psychopathology, food addiction, and BMI in all clinical groups. Conclusions: These results support the interaction between biological and clinical factors contributing to delineating vulnerability pathways in EWC that could help fit personalized therapeutic approaches. - Abstract
Currently, MSME stakeholders are facing problems in selling their products as they often focus too much on the production process and do not balance marketing and advertising. When a product is produced in large quantities, it becomes difficult to sell quickly. Advertising is usually done by word of mouth or by displaying products in local stores. Efforts to overcome MSME marketing include providing training to his MSME stakeholders through digitization. Digitization of MSME is an attempt by an MSME subject to digitize the marketing of his MSME products. Simply put, it makes it easier for business people to sell their products online in an increasingly demanding technology age. One of his ways to digitize MSME product marketing is with the Canva application. Canva is an online design program that offers video, image or photo editing, graphic design and more. The service activities conducted are intended to provide insight into the use of social media by MSMEs in conducting promotions and creating engaging and easy-to-implement product content. Training will also be provided to MSMEs in Kebun Durian Village to utilize the results of MSMEs in promoting digital technology. Up to 34 trainees were able to create mockups and logo designs using his Canva application as an advertising medium to increase the sales value of their MSME products.

- Abstract

Himantariella scutellaris Brolemann, 1926 has previously been considered a French endemic species from the eastern Pyrenees. New collecting data from the Spanish Pre-Pyrenees, the Prelitoral Mountain Range and the Cantabric Region, make it possible to expand its known distribution to the northern Iberian Peninsula. Intraspecific variability, habitat preferences and ethology are assessed for the first time. New figures on the morphology of H. scutellaris and identification keys for the European Himantariidae with terminal pore-fields are provided. Results showed a wider range of morphological variability than previously reported and allowed to update the diagnostic characters needed for identification. Additionally, results showed monticolous, synanthropic and nocturnal habits for the Iberian populations and suggest that H. scutellaris is a common species at a local scale. Finally, morphology and ecology of H. scutellaris from the Iberian Peninsula and the Pyrenees are discussed in depth.

Industrial and Manufacturing Engineering - Abstract
The purpose of this study is to gain a deeper understanding of the duties and responsibilities of a Christian Religious Education teacher, who serves as the main actor in teaching. Ki Hajar Dewantara's philosophy on teacher education is considered to be a trusted and imitable example, which can be used as a basis for vocation. This research aims to examine how teachers can serve as role models and how this can be implemented by Christian Religious Education teachers in today's context. The study findings indicate that Christian teachers must lead by example in their teaching, fulfill their duties and calling as a gift in teaching, and make Jesus the main principle of their exemplary conduct. The purpose of this research is to illustrate the efforts made by Christian Religious Education teachers to enhance their duties and calling as teachers and to determine whether they have become role models in the present day.

Recent works on 3D single object tracking treat the task as a target-specific 3D detection task, where an off-the-shelf 3D detector is commonly employed for the tracking. However, it is non-trivial to perform accurate target-specific detection since the point cloud of objects in raw LiDAR scans is usually sparse and incomplete. In this paper, we address this issue by explicitly leveraging temporal motion cues and propose DMT, a Detector-free Motion-prediction-based 3D Tracking network that completely removes the usage of complicated 3D detectors and is lighter, faster, and more accurate than previous trackers. Specifically, the motion prediction module is first introduced to estimate a potential target center of the current frame in a point-cloud-free manner. Then, an explicit voting module is proposed to directly regress the 3D box from the estimated target center. Extensive experiments on KITTI and NuScenes datasets demonstrate that our DMT can still achieve better performance (~10% improvement over the NuScenes dataset) and a faster tracking speed (i.e., 72 FPS) than state-of-the-art approaches without applying any complicated 3D detectors. General Medicine - Abstract
Pulmonary vascular remodeling is common among patients with advanced heart failure. Right heart catheterization is the gold standard to assess pulmonary hypertension, but is limited by indirect measurement assumptions, a steady-flow view, load-dependency, and interpretation variability. We aimed to assess pulmonary vascular remodeling with intravascular optical coherence tomography (OCT) and to study its correlation with hemodynamic data. This observational, prospective, multicenter study recruited 100 patients with advanced heart failure referred for heart transplant evaluation. All patients underwent right heart catheterization together with OCT evaluation of a subsegmentary pulmonary artery.OCT could be performed and properly analyzed in 90 patients. Median age was 57.50 [interquartile range, 48.75-63.25] years and 71 (78.88%) were men. The most frequent underlying heart condition was nonischemic dilated cardiomyopathy (33 patients [36.66%]). Vascular wall thickness significantly correlated with mean pulmonary artery pressure, pulmonary vascular resistance, and transpulmonary gradient (R coefficient=0.42, 0.27 and 0.32 respectively). Noninvasive estimation of pulmonary artery systolic pressure, acceleration time, and right ventricle-pulmonary artery coupling also correlated with wall thickness (R coefficient of 0.42, 0.27 and 0.49, respectively). Patients with a wall thickness over 0.25mm had significantly higher mean pulmonary pressures (37.00 vs 25.00mmHg; P=.004) and pulmonary vascular resistance (3.44 vs 2.08 WU; P=.017).Direct morphological assessment of pulmonary vascular remodeling with OCT is feasible and is significantly associated with classic hemodynamic parameters. This weak association suggests that structural remodeling does not fully explain pulmonary hypertension.

The future of deep space communications encompasses a challenging situation where the current facilities used to communicate with different spacecraft may become saturated as a result of an increasing number of missions and their complexity. From this forecast, the present study intends to provide a solution to saturation problems through strategically-located upgradable relays for Earth-Mars communications. The foremost goal of this paper is to quantitatively uncover the potential enhancements coming from relay placement in strategic orbits between Earth and Mars. Herein, two relay configurations –a.k.a. network topologies– are analyzed: the Lagrange-relays network topology and a circular, homogeneously-distributed satellite constellation, acknowledged here as pearl constellation. The first uses the Earth-Sun system Lagrange points L3, L4 and L5 as potential locations for the relays, whilst the second defines an optimized orbit between Earth and Mars with 3 or 4 relay satellites. To aid in the analysis, the authors developed an open-sourced piece of software that obtains the link availability as well as the data rate at which two nodes may communicate, taking as a reference the Deep Space Network for Earth, and the Mars Reconnaissance Orbiter for Mars. For complex topologies with more than two communicating nodes, the software outputs the end-to-end bit rate and optimal communication route at each time step. Moreover, this product is extensible to analyze and optimize any network topology and could be adapted to be used for contact management and mission planning in the future. The results show that the network-topology proposals are an advantageous option to significantly increase the link availability of Earth-Mars communications. Nevertheless, the Direct-To-Earth link always outperforms the multi-hop path due to the limited telecommunication system’s capabilities of both the spacecraft and the relays. As a result of this, the study includes an analysis on the requirements of the relay’s design in order to make the constellation a beneficial and comparable alternative to the DTE link. This way, the proposed network topologies become a suitable option whom to share with the DSN communications workload, providing enhanced bit rates and data volumes as well as higher availability of the communication.

BACKGROUND To determine the relationship between short-acting beta-adrenergic agonist (SABA) overuse and healthcare resource use and costs in asthma patients in routine clinical practice. MATERIAL AND METHODS A longitudinal retrospective study in Spanish primary and specialized care using the BIG-PAC® Medical Records Database was conducted. Asthma patients ≥12 years of age who attended ≥ 2 consultations during 2017 and had 1-year follow-up data available were included. Main outcomes were demographics, comorbidities, medication, clinical and healthcare resource use and costs. The relationship between SABA overuseand healthcare costs, and between asthma severity and healthcare costs was determined. RESULTS This SABA use IN Asthma (SABINA) study included 39,555 patients, mean (standard deviation, SD) age 49.8 (20.7) years; 64.2% were female. Charlson comorbidity index was 0.7 (1.0). SABA overuse (≥ 3 canisters/year) was 28.7% (95% CI: 27.7-29.7), with an overall mean number of 3.3 (3.6) canisters/year. Overall, 5.1% of patients were prescribed ≥12 canisters/year. SABA overuse was correlated with healthcare costs (ρ = 0.621; p < 0.001).The adjusted mean annual cost/patient, according to the Global Initiative for Asthma (GINA 2019) classification of asthma severity, was €2,231, €2,345, €2,735, €3,473, and €4,243,for GINA steps 1-5, respectively (p < 0.001). Regardless of asthma severity, SABA overuse yielded a significant increase in healthcare costs per patient and year (€5,702 vs. €1,917, p < 0.001) compared with recommended use (< 2 canisters/year). CONCLUSIONS SABA overuse yields greater costs for the Spanish National Health System. Costs increased according to asthma severity.

UPLC-MS/MS method was developed for determination of bioactive compounds including chlorogenic acid (CA), apigenin (AP) and apigenin 7-glucoside (AP7G) in goat serum. The analytes were separated on Kinetex C18 analytical column and a mobile phase consisting 0.1% formic acid in water and methanol with gradient elution. Detection of analytes was performed using a triple quadrupole mass spectrometer with electrospray ionization in positive mode. The lower limit of quantitation was 0.5 ng mL–1 for AP and AP7G and 2.5 ng mL–1 for CA. The inter- and intra-day precision of the method expressed as relative standard deviation was in the range of 1.22–14.5%. The accuracy of the method expressed as the relative error was in the range of 0.147–14.6%. The extraction recoveries of the compounds were 76.2–89.5%. The validated method was successfully applied for analysis of the compounds in the serum of sixty goats, half of which were fed with fodder with the addition of an herbal mixture. The higher concentration values of all analyzed compounds were reported in the serum of the animals fed with herbs compared to the control group receiving standard fodder.

Geophysics ,Geochemistry and Petrology - Abstract
The use of copper canisters in the Swedish KBS-3 concept for spent nuclear fuel disposal could result in the formation of copper-bearing uranyl phases should a canister suffer from defects or if the containment were to fail before reducing conditions are established in the repository. Most uranyl species would be expected to display higher solubility than the original uranium(IV) dioxide fuel, leading to enhanced release, though this would depend on the phase and prevailing groundwater conditions. Secondary alteration products may also be poorly crystalline or even amorphous, making characterization difficult during the pre-closure period owing to the high radiation field close to the canister. Vandenbrandeite, [CuUO2(OH)4], is a rare mineral in nature but known to form by alteration of primary uraninite through interaction with oxidizing groundwater containing dissolved copper. Consequently, an attempt has been made to characterize two vandenbrandeite specimens of varying crystallinity by luminescence and multiple-laser Raman spectroscopy; techniques amenable to remote, robotic deployment and which have proved useful in discriminating other uranyl oxy-hydroxides, silicates, and phosphates. The first reported luminescence emission and excitation spectra for vandenbrandeite revealed near-negligible luminescence, with a slightly enhanced signal for the specimen displaying poorer crystallinity. This observation agrees well with density functional theory calculations. The simulated projected density of state and band structure show an unlikely transition from the U f-orbitals to Cu d-orbitals, or O states, would be required for luminescence to be detectable; this probably improves for poorly crystalline specimens as the spatial overlap between the orbitals increases. Furthermore, negligible differences in the number of peaks and peak positions were detected in the laser wavelength-dependent Raman spectra although again, variation in background noise and peak shape was observed based on the degree of crystallinity. Good agreement was obtained between experimental and simulated Raman spectra, particularly with the environmentally sensitive axial uranyl stretching modes, validating the crystal system derived in this study. The findings of this study suggest luminescence spectroscopy, when combined with Raman spectroscopy, may be able to both identify vandenbrandeite and distinguish between crystalline and amorphous forms based on their relative luminescence intensity.

Verbal short-term memory (STM) deficits are associated with language processing impairments in people with aphasia. Importantly, the integrity of STM can predict word learning ability and anomia therapy gains in aphasia. While the recruitment of perilesional and contralesional homologous brain regions has been proposed as a possible mechanism for aphasia recovery, little is known about the white-matter pathways that support verbal STM in post-stroke aphasia. Here, we investigated the relationships between the language-related white matter tracts and verbal STM ability in aphasia. Nineteen participants with post-stroke chronic aphasia completed a subset of verbal STM subtests of the TALSA battery including nonword repetition (phonological STM), pointing span (lexical-semantic STM without language output) and repetition span tasks (lexical-semantic STM with language output). Using a manual deterministic tractography approach, we investigated the micro- and macrostructural properties of the structural language network. Finally, we assessed the relationships between individually extracted tract values and verbal STM scores. We found significant correlations between volume measures of the right Uncinate Fasciculus and all three verbal STM scores. We also found significant associations between verbal STM scores and the left long segment of the Arcuate, the left Uncinate and the right Inferior Fronto-Occipital Fasciculi, although these did not survive FDR corrections. These findings suggest that the integrity of the right UF is associated with phonological and lexical-semantic verbal STM ability in aphasia and highlight the potential compensatory role of right-sided ventral white matter language tracts in supporting verbal STM after aphasia-inducing left hemisphere insult.

Altres ajuts: acords transformatius de la UAB The industrial sector is nowadays experiencing a digital transformation motivated by the Industry 4.0 paradigm. Concepts such as data-driven models, Artificial Neural Networks (ANNs), and Transfer Learning (TL) are part of the current vocabulary in the industrial management and control topics. For that reason, in this paper the application of TL techniques is proposed to derive new ANN-based control structures from pre-existing ones. Notice that if an ANN-based controller is transferred into a new industrial environment, its appropriate behaviour must be ensured, and what it is more important, this must be known a priori. Nevertheless, TL techniques do not always ensure this. That is why the Transfer Suitability Metric (TSM) is proposed here. Determining the similarity among environments, this metric tells if the controller can be transferred, transferred with certain limitations, or if it cannot be transferred at all. Here, the metric is applied over a Wastewater Treatment Plant (WWTP). The objective is to derive the control structure of one control loop, let us say the Dissolved Oxygen (DO), and then transfer it into another basic control loop in a WWTP, the Nitrate-nitrogen (NO), and vice-versa. Results show that with the help of the TSM, an improvement around a 68.54% and 80.53% in the Integrated Absolute Error (IAE) and the Integrated Squared Error (ISE) is obtained in the NO management, respectively. Moreover, a simplification and speed-up of the controller design process is achieved.

Crosses erected “in memory of” preserve social memory and forestall the natural process of oblivion. These inscriptions are the products of social reflection, and express collective representations and the collective opinion of the community. One can deduce the values most important to the community, and those most endangered, from the wording imprinted on the crosses. The preserved inscriptions are all the more valuable as a state of collective consciousness in rural communities has yet to be constructed on the basis of individual testimonies in the form of letters or diaries. The inscriptions on crosses in an area of the Lublin voivodeship, enriched with information gathered regarding the local context, constitute the article’s empirical basis.
