This work comprises facile synthesis of MXene/CuCr2O4 nanocomposite using co-precipitation method for studying unique and significant energy storage properties by triggering world to design and fabricate nano-electrode material with maximized specific capacitance, conductivity and stability. Average crystallite size were found to be 21.2 nm, 28.5 nm and 8.7 nm for CuCr2O4, Ti3C2Tx and Ti3C2Tx/CuCr2O4 nanocomposites whereas sandwich like morphology with an average grain size of 1.53 nm is evident from SEM micrographs. Further analysis by Energy dispersive X-ray spectroscopy reveals elemental distribution with complete aluminum removal showing MXene successful etching. Raman spectra confirms presence of both D and G band whereas PL spectra showing merged peak at 376 nm due to structural distortions. From FTIR spectra, presence of both copper chromite and MXene within nanocomposite is evident. UV–Vis spectroscopy confirmed decrease in bandgap value from 2.06 eV to 1.56 eV whereas zeta potential value of −13.8 mV for Ti3C2Tx/CuCr2O4 as compared to Ti3C2Tx zeta potential value of −23 mV confirmed nanocomposite stability. Nanocomposite based nano-electrode material shows maximum specific capacitance of 445.5 Fg-1 in acidic electrolyte (0.1M H2SO4) comparable to basic electrolyte possessing maximum stability over 500 cycles with no further decrease in current. This progress report acts as a reference and a scientific inspiration to design and fabricate Ti3C2Tx/CuCr2O4 nanocomposite based nano-electrode material to overcome increasing demand for next-generation energy storage systems.

Background: The COVID-19 pandemic has had a negative impact on overall health and well-being. Therefore, certain preventive measures may affect many lifestyle habits. This study aimed to explore the eating habits, food variety score (FVS), and diet diversity score (DDS) of adults residing in Saudi Arabia during the mandatory stay-at-home advisory for COVID-19. Methods: A cross sectional study was targeted adults living in Saudi Arabia during the COVID-19 lockdown (May – June 2020). An electronic self-reported survey was conducted through Research Electronic Data Capture (Redcap) distributed on social media platforms. The Arabic version of the questionnaire was previously evaluated for its reliability and validity. A total of 359 individuals who completed the food frequency questionnaire were included in the study. Diet diversity score (DDS) and food variety score (FVS) was calculated. Results: The study found that the distribution of FVS ranged between 4-27 food items. The distribution of DDS ranged between 3-14 food items. Income, working status, and living status were factors associated with the FVS and/or DDS. The majority of the cohort (>67%) had at least one snack/day and < 3 meals/day. Conclusion: Diet diversity was acceptable among Saudi adults during the COVID-19 lockdown period. Age, sex, having children, marital status, education level, and income were factors associated with diet diversity and eating habits (having breakfast, skipping meals, and number of snacks).

Rotational rheology was used to analyze the performance of polypropylene (PP) composites reinforced with date palm nanofiber (DNF) in the molten state in this study. In the first stage, mechanical ball milling was used to obtain date nanofillers with average filler sizes ranging from 30–110 nm in width and 1–10 mm in length. Dry blending technique was used to reinforce this filler to the polypropylene in the 1-5wt. % loading. The resulting PP/DNF biocomposites were subsequently tested using a rotating rheometer with a 25 mm parallel plate geometry. The broad range of angular frequency from 0.1 rad·s−1 to 100 rad·s−1 was applied to study their complex viscosity (η*) at a fix strain (1%). The decrease in complex viscosity with angular frequency in all the samples was observed compared to the neat PP. The complex viscosity of the neat PP and the 5 wt.% of filler samples at 0.1 rad·s−1 frequency was found to have 18170 Pa. s and 5335 Pa. s, respectively. Therefore, this analysis revealed that this biocomposites exhibits typical viscoelastic behavior of entangled polymeric liquid.

This paper proposes a hybrid proportional-integral (PI-sliding) mode controller to improve and adjust the point-to-point path planning of a three-link robotic arm with three degrees of freedom. The main objectives of the proposed control unit are to control the tracking process to reach the desired path handle the outgoing vibrations, and dampen them in the links of the robotic arm during its movement to ensure accuracy in completing the work. Seventh-degree polynomial paths represented the segments of locomotion connecting the first, middle, and last points at the combined space through predefined route points via minimal travel time. While not exceeding a predetermined maximum torque, without hitting any obstacle in the robot's workspace. The results showed that the proposed control design provides a robust control performance and fast response corresponding with conventional sliding mode controller (SMC) and PI controller. Then the outcomes provide the best results for the demanded mission according to the whished intakes with minimal error. The system equations are solved using the techniques available in MATLAB software then the results of the model are validated by the results of simulations.

استهدفت الدراسة التعرف على دور برامج التوطين التدريبية في توظيف المنتفعين من الضمان الاجتماعي , من وجهة نظر المتلحقين بالبرامج التدريبية من المنتفعين من الضمان الاجتماعي في مجتمع الإمارات , إذ تكونت عينة الدراسة من 766 منتفع و منتفعه من الضمان الاجتماعي على مستوى دولة الإمارات العربية المتحدة , و لتحقيق أهداف الدراسة قامت الباحثة باستخدام المنهج الوصفي لتحليل بيانات أفراد عينة الدراسة , تم تحليل و تفسير البيانات و معالجتها إحصائيا باستخدام برنامج spss , و ذلك بالمسح الاجتماعي بالاستعانة بأداة الدراسة الاستبيان للحصول على البيانات الكمية , أما البيانات النوعية فقد تم باستخدام المقابلة الشخصية مع مجموعة من مسؤولي وزراة تنمية المجتمع و وزارة الموارد البشرية و التوطين لجمع البيانات. وقد أظهرت نتائج الدراسة بوجود دلالة إحصائية بين متغيرات الدراسة الديمغرافية (العمر، المستوى التعليمي، الدخل، الإمارة) من جهة وبين المتغير التابع للدراسة وهي توظيف المنتفعين من الضمان الاجتماعي.

Face detection is the most critical and first step in the attendance management system. The human face is non-rigid and has many differences in visual situations, scale, clarity, poses, and rotation. The precise and reliable identification was a challenge for the researcher. A variety of methods and techniques are suggested, but due to many variations, no one technique is very effective for all sorts of faces and pictures. Many techniques show good results under certain conditions, and others are successful for various types of images. Image-discriminating methods are commonly used for pattern and image analysis. Specific forms of prejudice are discussed.

The impact of base and zycotherm binders modified with various proportions of nanosilica (i.e., 2 %, 4 %, and 6 %) based on the weight of the binder at high-temperature performance was investigated. Brookfield viscosity, penetration, softening point, and storage stability tests were all conducted on base and modified binders. Moreover, the Superpave rutting parameter (G*/sin δ) and Multiple stress creep recovery (MSCR) were utilized to assess the resistance of binders to rutting. By observing the outcomes of the modified binder tests, the incorporation of nanosilica into the base and zycotherm binders improved temperature susceptibility. Binders modified with nanosilica showed remarkable storage stability at elevated temperatures, as the variation in softening point between the upper and bottom parts was less than 2.5 °C for all binders. Based on the outcomes of the Superpave rutting parameter, the inclusion of nanosilica enhanced the stiffness of the modified binders up to 130 % for 6 % of nanosilica, while the improvement was caused by 6 % of nanosilica with zycotherm was nearly 92 % at 70 °C. The MSCR test revealed that the base and zycotherm binders' recovery (R%) was 27.72 % and 25.99 % for 6 % of nanosilica and 6 % nanosilica with zycotherm, respectively, while the nonrecoverable creep compliance (Jnr) decreased by 56.87 % for 6 % of nanosilica, and 43.23 % for 6 % nanosilica with zycotherm at 100 MPa. The results show that the incorporation of nanosilica is capable of improving the rutting potential regardless of the levels of stress. The rheological characteristics of modified base and zycotherm binders were improved at all concentrations of nanosilica, with the optimal concentration being 6% nanosilica.

Extracurricular activities are a big part of university students’ life, through which students have an opportunity to express themselves and enhance their soft skills in a safe and relaxed environment. Recently, King Saud University (KSU), Saudi Arabia, launched a multi-disciplinary event aimed at raising public’s awareness of their rights and responsibilities in the healthcare system. Although the event was designed to educate the public about their rights and responsibilities in the healthcare system, it has proven to be a good opportunity to promote interprofessional education among participating students. This study aims to review and assess the impact of this multi-disciplinary public awareness event on the acquisition of core interprofessional competencies by participating students from the health sciences using Kolb’s experiential learning theory as a framework.Patients and Methods: This qualitative study used semi-structured Zoom interviews in Nov 2020 with health science students who participated in the event. The research team used a pre-designed topic guide based on Kolb’s experiential learning theory (KELT) for the interview questions. The interviews were recorded, transcribed, coded, and analysed using thematic analysis.Results: Twenty-one students, representing four health science colleges at KSU participated in three focus groups. The main themes identified were participants’ attitudes towards the event, the types of knowledge and skills acquired from the event, and how they practically applied the knowledge acquired. These themes were aligned to KELT as this study’s framework.Conclusion: The event covered the most important concepts of interprofessional education and could be a potential tool to educate students from multiple disciplines.Keywords: interprofessional education, patient rights, patients’ responsibility, interprofessional collaboration, public awareness, Kolb‘s theory

This study aimed to shed light on the most prominent problems and obstacles facing the ATM users by applying to the clients of the Iraqi Trade Bank / Dhi Qar branch, and in order to achieve that goal the researchers designed a questionnaire directed to a sample of the clients of the Iraqi Trade Bank / Dhi Qar branch as a tool To collect data and to know their opinions regarding the ATM experience, the statistical program (SPSS) has been used in analyzing the results and through a number of statistical methods such as frequency distributions, percentages, mean, and standard deviation in order to prove the study hypotheses, and after study and analysis was completed Pray to a set of conclusions, the most important of which is that the large number of malfunctions to which the ATM machines are exposed and the lack of continuous cash flow negatively affect the bank's customers, and then a number of recommendations were suggested, the most prominent of which was the necessity to take all necessary measures to continue the work of the ATM Through continuous maintenance for it and the appointment of employees of the specialist to repair repeated faults, as well as providing cash liquidity at all times, specifically during the period of employee salaries.

Two-dimensional (2D) covalent organic frameworks (COFs) are composed of structurally precise, permanently porous, layered macromolecular sheets, which are traditionally synthesized as polycrystalline solids with crystalline domain lengths smaller than 100 nm. Here, we polymerize imine-linked 2D COFs as suspensions of faceted single crystals in as little as 5 min at moderate temperature and ambient pressure. The most important biological changes which have to be monitored is the mechanism of ageing in the human body where the mitochondria play a major role. Hydrogen peroxide (H2O2) is one of the important markers for the reactive oxygen species (ROS), which denatures the protein and DNA, that was the main contributory factor of ageing. So, it is very important to monitor H2O2 levels in the biological samples. Herein, we reported the preparation of 1D graphene nanoribbon/cobalt oxide nanorod (GNR/Co3O4) based nanocomposite-modified electrochemical sensor for H2O2. Firstly, GNR was synthesized by oxidative unzipping of multiwalled carbon nanotubes (MWCNTs). Secondly, cobalt oxide nanorods (Co3O4) were grown onto GNR by a chemical reduction process. As-prepared nanocomposite was characterized by UV-Visible spectroscopy (UV-Vis) and HR-TEM. Electrochemical properties of GNR/Co3O4-coated electrode were studied by cyclic voltammetry (CV) which showed two redox peaks at 0.93 and 0.88 V in phosphate buffer solution. Next, the electrocatalytic activity of GNR/Co3O4-coated electrode was studied against H2O2 oxidation. The electrochemical studies revealed that GNR/Co3O4-coated electrode exhibited high electrocatalytic activity for H2O2 oxidation at 0.925 V. This sensor showed a linear response for H2O2 oxidation from 10 to 200 μM. The limit of detection (LOD) was calculated to be 1.27 μM. The selectivity of the sensor was also studied with other biomolecules associated in the human body, and the results showed that interference effect is negligible. Thus, the proposed GNR/Co3O4-modified electrode can be used for H2O2 detection with excellent stability and selectivity.

Children with deafness encounter multiple problems in the course of developing their language and literacy skills. A detailed review of the literature on issues affecting deaf children in acquiring language and literacy skills is presented in this study. Many problems pertaining to the development of literacy skills and the interrelationship between reading and writing are demonstrated. A review was carried out across six scientific databases. The articles were categorised to address issues pertaining to the development of language and literacy skills, with a focus on reading and writing. The review helped demonstrate important factors affecting the development of language skills among children with deafness, and highlighted the need for different approaches to respond to them.

Horsetail fern plant is botanically known as Equisetum arvense L., and it is a good source of phenolic flavonoids, phenolic acids, and compounds. Anticancer properties of hexane and chloroform extracts of the horsetail fern plant and their mechanisms involved in the anticancer activity on human hepatocarcinoma (HuH-7) cells were examined. Cytotoxicity was evaluated by using MTT (3-(4,5-dimethylthiazol-2-yl)-2,5-diphenyltetrazolium bromide) and NRU (neutral red uptake) assays. Other parameters such as oxidative stress and apoptosis in pretreated hexane and chloroform extracts of the horsetail fern plant were examined in HuH-7 cells. The observation showed that hexane and chloroform extract of the horsetail fern plant exhibited cytotoxicity against HuH-7 cells. The value of IC50-24 h of hexane and chloroform extract of the horsetail fern plant was determined as 199.0 μg/ml and 161.90 0 μg/ml for HuH-7 cells, respectively, and on the basis of IC50 value, three acute concentrations, viz., 75% of IC50, 50% of IC50, and 25% of IC50, were determined for further study. The lower dose of extracts hexane and chloroform extract of the horsetail fern plant did not show significant toxicity. Higher concentrations of extract induced significant antioxidant effects as well as apoptosis effects. However, exposure to hexane and chloroform extract of the horsetail fern plant upregulated the expression of Bax and p53 in HuH-7 cells. These data suggest that hexane and chloroform extract of the horsetail fern plant plays a significant role in the induction of toxicity via the regulation of oxidative stress in HuH-7 cells. This work may be useful for cancer chemotherapy.

استهدفت الدراسة التعرف على أثر التدريب المهني على المنتفعات من الضمان الاجتماعي , من وجهة نظر المتلحقات بالبرامج التدريب المهني من المنتفعات من الضمان الاجتماعي في مجتمع الإمارات , إذ تكونت عينة الدراسة من 240 منتفعه من الضمان الاجتماعي على مستوى دولة الإمارات العربية المتحدة , و لتحقيق أهداف الدراسة قامت الباحثة باستخدام المنهج الوصفي لتحليل بيانات أفراد عينة الدراسة , تم تحليل و تفسير البيانات و معالجتها إحصائيا باستخدام برنامج spss , و ذلك بالمسح الاجتماعي بالاستعانة بأداة الدراسة الاستبيان للحصول على البيانات الكمية , أما البيانات النوعية فقد تم باستخدام المقابلة الشخصية مع مجموعة من مسؤولي وزراة تنمية المجتمع لجمع البيانات. وقد أظهرت نتائج الدراسة بوجود دلالة إحصائية بين متغيرات الدراسة الديمغرافية (المستوى التعليمي، الدخل، الحالة الاجتماعية) من جهة وبين المتغير التابع للدراسة وهي الالتحاق بالبرامج التدريب المهني وأثره على المنتفعات من الضمان الاجتماعي. وأشارت نتائج التحليل بفاعلية برامج التدريب المهني وتأثيرها على المنتفعات من الضمان الاجتماعي حسب المحاور وهي (محور الرضا عن البرامج التدريبية، محور التعلم، محور السلوك، ومحور نتائج التدريب) من وجهة نظر المنتفعات من الضمان الاجتماعي. كانت أهم التوصيات التي توصلت إليها الباحثة وهي: متابعة الجهات المعنية بإطلاق المعارض والمهرجانات من قبل فريق عمل مكلف من وزارة تنمية المجتمع، لضمان حصول الملتحقات بالبرامج التدريب المهني بالركن (البوث) المناسب لكسب الزبائن وبيع جميع المنتجات. دمج أصحاب الدخل المتواضع من الضمان الاجتماعي في برامج ومشاريع اقتصادية بهدف ضمان وجود دخل شهري منتظم ضمن بيئة استثمارية ومهنية عالية. سن قوانين وتشريعات خاصة بمنتفعي الضمان الاجتماعي والتدريب، بحيث يحصل المنتسب للبرامج التدريبية على امتيازات تؤهله في الدخول في سوق العمل. تصميم منصة التاجر الصغير الابتكارية، بوجود شراكات مجتمعية بين مؤسسات القطاع الحكومي والخاص والمحلي بهدف دعم المشاريع الابتكارية والتي من خلالها تؤهل الوقوف أمام السوق المحلي. الاطلاع على أفضل الممارسات العربية والعالمية في مجال تقنيات الحديثة في عالم التدريب المهني. التركيز على قسم وإدارة البحوث والدراسات وحثهم على إجراء البحوث والدراسات في مجال التدريب المهني والتي لها دور في خدمة ورفعة المجتمع.

BackgroundIn Saudi Arabia, stay-at-home orders to address the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) pandemic between March 15 and 23, 2020 and eased on May 28, 2020. We conducted a scoping review to systematically describe physical activity and sedentary behavior in Saudi Arabia associated with the timing of the lockdown.MethodsWe searched six databases on December 13, 2021 for articles published in English or Arabic from 2018 to the search date. Studies must have reported data from Saudi Arabia for any age and measured physical activity or sedentary behavior.ResultsOverall, 286 records were found; after excluding duplicates, 209 records were screened, and 19 studies were included in the review. Overall, 15 studies were cross-sectional, and 4 studies were prospective cohorts. Three studies included children and adolescents (age: 2–18 years), and 16 studies included adults (age: 15–99 years). Data collection periods were ConclusionsAmong children, adolescents, and adults, studies consistently indicated that in the short-term, physical activity decreased and sedentary behavior increased in conjunction with the movement restrictions. Given the widespread impact of the pandemic on other health behaviors, it would be important to continue tracking behaviors post-lockdown and identify subpopulations that may not have returned to their physical activity and sedentary behavior to pre-pandemic levels to focus on intervention efforts.

Background: This is the first review on Poly(diphenylamine) and its nanohybrids which covers about 181 references demonstrating the brief discussion on the theoretical studies, chemical, electrochemical and other-phase preparation techniques, polymerization and oxidation-reduction (redox) mechanisms, physicochemical and electrochemical properties along with electrochemical sensors and spectroscopic applications on the detection of chemicals and biomolecules analysis applications. Objective: The main aim of this detailed report is merely to afford a survey of the literature existing on this multifunctional conducting organic polymer (poly(diphenylamine)) that provokes a pathway to innovations and discoveries in the near future claim its applications in multidisciplinary fields, especially in the detection of chemicals and bio-molecules applications. Methods: We discussed the overall studies on poly(diphenylamine) and its various nanohybrids, including copolymers, homopolymers, carbon-based, and metal/metal-oxide hybrids. The different synthesis methods of poly(diphenylamine) such as chemical/electrochemical/mechano-chemical polymerization in terms of morphology and electrical conductivity were briefly discussed. Conclusion: This review manuscript deliberates the various synthesis approaches and applications based on the multifunctional conducting polymer poly(diphenylamine) and its nanohybrids. This review provides an outlook and challenges ahead that ignites spotlight to innovations and discoveries in the near future claim its applications in multidisciplinary fields, particularly in electrochemical sensors and spectroscopic applications towards the detection of chemicals and bio-molecules.
