- Abstract
In the semi-arid region of Brazil, it is common to use saline or brackish water for crop production. However, this practice can negatively affect the soil, nutrient balance, and fruit quality and production. From this perspective, this study aimed to evaluate the effect of fertilization combinations with nitrogen (N), phosphorus (P), and potassium (K) on the production and quality of West Indian cherry grown under salt stress in the second year of production. The study was conducted in a protected environment following a randomized block design with treatments distributed in a 2 x 10 factorial arrangement referring to two levels of electrical conductivity of irrigation water (ECw) (0.6 and 4.0 dS m-1) and 10 NPK fertilization combinations (80-100-100; 100-100-100; 120-100-100; 140-100-100; 100-80-100; 100-120-100; 100-140-100; 100-100-80; 100-100-120 e 100-100-140% of the recommendation in the second year of production), with three replicates and one plant per lysimeter. The results indicate that irrigation of West Indian cherry crop irrigation at the water salinity of 4.0 dS m-1 negatively affected all fruit production variables. The interaction between the ECw of 0.6 dS m-1 and the 100-80-120 NPK fertilization combination increased the total number of fruits and the total fruit weight of West Indian cherry.

- Abstract
Technological advances in agriculture make it possible to manage the light spectrum radiation in a protected environment and generate improvements in plant photomorphogenesis, which can be a promising strategy for the supply of seedlings of pomegranate qualities. It aimed to evaluate whether the microclimatic environmental changes, due to the management of light spectrum radiation, modify the photomorphogenesis and water consumption by pomegranate cuttings treated with aqueous C. rotundus (nutsedge) extract, as well as determine the most important variables to explain such effects. A completely randomized design, in a 4x4 factorial scheme, and with three replications. Four light spectrum radiation (white, blue, red, and extreme red lights) and four nutsedge extract concentrations (0, 25, 50, and 100%) were applied. Throughout the experimental period, the environments were monitored to establish the illuminance, average air temperature, relative air humidity, average soil temperature and evapotranspiration water consumption by the cuttings. The numbers of shoots were recorded weekly, numbers of roots and shoots were calculated 60 days after cutting planting. All microclimatic variables were influenced by light conditions. Shoots were observed on the cuttings under white and blue lights with application of 0, 25, 50, and 100% of nutsedge extract concentrations. Variations in light spectrum radiation promote environmental microclimate changes and influence photomorphogenesis and water consumption by pomegranate cuttings treated with aqueous extract of nutsedge. All variables studied were considered as important to explain the influence of environmental microclimate changes, due to light spectrum variation, on photomorphogenesis and water evapotranspiration and consumption by pomegranate cuttings.

Perinatal hypoxic-ischemic brain injury is a major cause of non-progressive neurological deficits in children. Dysmature patterns can be seen in newborns' electroencephalograms (EEGs) and may have prognostic value for long-term outcomes. To investigate the prognostic value of dysmature EEG patterns in term or near-term newborns.Neonates with dysmature patterns in their first neonatal EEG, assessed during a 6-year period from January 2010 to December 2015, were included in the study. Their outcomes at their follow-ups in June 2019 (at the age of 3 years or more) were assessed, and the presence of neurological deficits and/or epilepsy was noted. We identified 347 neonates with video-EEG recordings during the observed period, in which 10 neonates had dysmature patterns in their first EEG. Eight were born at term and two were born late preterms, born at the 35 and 36-week gestational age. The reasons for admission were HIE grade I in 2 patients, grade II in 6 neonates, and heart problems in 2 patients. The second EEG was recorded at different time intervals, in 7 infants between 1 and 6 weeks; three infants had second EEG much later and were excluded from the study. Six of seven infants showed normal background activity (BA), and five had sharp waves over different regions, all six had normal developmental outcomes. One child with dysrhythmic pattern in the second EEG was diagnosed with genetic encephalopathy, developed spastic cerebral palsy and died due to severe pneumonia at the age of 6 years.Dysmature patterns may reflect transitory brain dysfunctions. Neonatal EEG tests remain reliable and important diagnostic tool in the very first weeks of life, particularly due to the availability of sequential EEG recordings and interpretations.

8. Immutatio Syntactica - Slipping in Medieval Latin Literature : Preliminary Findings
- Author

- Abstract

- Abstract
Introduction: Obstructive sleep apnea (OSA) is characterized by intermittent partial or complete obstruction of the airways during sleep, being called OSA syndrome (OSA) when associated with daytime/nighttime symptoms and/or comorbidities, such as systemic arterial hypertension or diabetes mellitus. The prevalence reaches 32% in the general population, varies between 1% and 20% when associated with COPD (overlap syndrome), and is described as above 60% in populations with COPD and obesity, Orthognathic Surgery (OS) corrects the deformities of the bones of the maxilla and mandible. Objective: It was to highlight the main considerations and outcomes of clinical studies on the importance of orthognathic surgery in class II patients and the treatment of obstructive sleep apnea syndrome. Methods: The systematic review rules of the PRISMA Platform were followed. The search was carried out from October to December 2022 in the Scopus, PubMed, Science Direct, Scielo, and Google Scholar databases, using articles from 2005 to 2022. The quality of the studies was based on the GRADE instrument and the risk of bias was analyzed accordingly, according to the Cochrane instrument. Results and Conclusion: A total of 420 articles were found, 157 articles were evaluated and 25 were included and developed in this systematic review study. Considering the Cochrane tool for risk of bias, the overall assessment resulted in 103 studies with a high risk of bias and 42 studies that did not meet GRADE. It was concluded that obstructive sleep apnea syndrome is related to comorbidities such as systemic arterial hypertension or diabetes mellitus. Orthognathic surgery treats patients with moderate and severe facial deformities, enabling the achievement of functional balance and harmony in facial aesthetics. Maxillomandibular advancement is an orthognathic surgery procedure that has been used to treat obstructive sleep apnea syndrome. However, maxillomandibular advancement often leads to unsatisfactory esthetic results. Proper early diagnosis and treatment can significantly improve a patient's quality of life, reduce sudden death, and prevent various complications. significantly increased compared to those before surgery, which can significantly improve the symptoms of obstructive sleep apnea syndrome and even achieve complete disappearance of symptoms.

- Abstract
The cobalt chromium molybdenum (Co-Cr-Mo) system composes specific alloys used in several biomedical applications, mainly in implants and prostheses manufacturing. Due to its intrinsic properties, the alloy processing is known as hard-to-machine. Therefore, in this work, we machined the Co-Cr-Mo alloy ASTM F75 and analyzed the effects of the cutting parameters on tool wear and the surface roughness generated during the turning. We performed a complete factorial with two factors, levels and replicas, in which the cutting speed varied from 60 to 90 m.min-1 and the feed rate from 0.08 to 0.13 mm.rev-1. Through Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM) and confocal microscopy analysis, we quantified wear on the cutting tool and the surface roughness of specimens. During the morphological studies, we noted the presence of crater and flank wear, with crater wear being predominant. This crater wear was exclusively influenced by the change in feed rate due to the loss of tool coating. Moreover, the changes in cutting parameters significantly influenced both cutting tool wear and workpiece surface roughness. The extreme cutting parameters caused significant differences in peak and valleys height on the turned workpiece surface. This way, the average roughness is strongly affected by the increase in tool wear induced by cutting parameters during the process. By energy dispersion spectroscopy (EDXA), we identified the chemical elements on the worn tool and workpiece surfaces which revealed that the primary mechanism causing tool wear is workpiece material adhesion to the insert rake surface. Furthermore, we confirmed the presence of carbides embedded on the machined surface, indicating abrasive action of these particles during cutting.

Microbiology (medical) ,Microbiology - Abstract
Accumulating plastics in the biosphere implicates adverse effects, raising serious concern among scientists worldwide. Plastic waste in nature disintegrates into microplastics. Because of their minute appearance, at a scale of IsPETase and IsMHETase from Ideonella sakaiensis 201-F6 and Thermobifida fusca cutinase (Tfc), are able to depolymerize plastic polymer chains producing ecologically harmless molecules like carbon dioxide and water. However, thermal stability and pH sensitivity are among the biochemical limitations of the plastic-degrading enzymes that affect their overall catalytic activities. The application of biotechnological approaches improves enzyme action and production. Protein-based engineering yields enzyme variants with higher enzymatic activity and temperature-stable properties, while site-directed mutagenesis using the Escherichia coli model system expresses mutant thermostable enzymes. Furthermore, microalgal chassis is a promising model system for “green” microplastic biodegradation. Hence, the bioremediative properties of microbial enzymes are genuinely encouraging for the biodegradation of synthetic microplastic polymers.

The evidence relating vaccination to febrile seizures and epilepsy is evaluated with an emphasis on febrile seizures (FS), Dravet syndrome (DS), West syndrome, and other developmental and epileptic encephalopathies.A systematic literature review using search words vaccination/immunization AND febrile seizures/epilepsy/Dravet/epileptic encephalopathy/developmental encephalopathy was performed. The role of vaccination as the cause/trigger/aggravation factor for FS or epilepsies and preventive measures were analyzed. From 1428 results, 846 duplicates and 447 irrelevant articles were eliminated; 120 were analyzed. There is no evidence that vaccinations cause epilepsy in healthy populations. Vaccinations do not cause epileptic encephalopathies but may be non-specific triggers to seizures in underlying structural or genetic etiologies. The first seizure in DS may be earlier in vaccinated versus non-vaccinated patients, but developmental outcome is similar in both groups. Children with a personal or family history of FS or epilepsy should receive all routine vaccinations. This recommendation includes DS. The known risks of the infectious diseases prevented by immunization are well established. Vaccination should be deferred in case of acute illness. Acellular pertussis DTaP (diphtheria-tetanus-pertussis) is recommended. The combination of certain vaccine types may increase the risk of febrile seizures however the public health benefit of separating immunizations has not been proven. Measles-containing vaccine should be administered at age 12-15 months. Routine prophylactic antipyretics are not indicated, as there is no evidence of decreased FS risk and they can attenuate the antibody response following vaccination. Prophylactic measures (preventive antipyretic medication) are recommended in DS due to the increased risk of prolonged seizures with fever.

Anthropology has stood out when studying man and his relationship with the environment, to the point of thinking about a construction of an ecological culture coherent with the needs of contemporaneity and with the development of a truly sustainable society. The objective of thisresearch is to relate the structuralist cultural anthropology of Lévi-Strauss and the sustainability of the Riacho Reginaldo Hydrographic Basin, in the municipality of Maceió, Alagoas. The methodology corresponds to a literature review and identification of space, time, model of modern society through Lévi-Strauss' structuralist theory, in addition to the social, environmental and cultural characteristics of this watershed. The results show the relationship between structuralist theory and sustainable social awareness. Lévi-Strauss affirms that for the future of contemporary societies, preserving or restoring the psychological, social and moral factors inherent in the production systems of cold societies and with that, the propagation of sustainable development, uniting primitive ideas with Western thoughts. In the Riacho Reginaldo watershed, it is important to raise awareness of the local population and efficient public policies aimed at sustainability, in addition to depollution projects in order to reduce odor and the large amount of solid waste generated.

BERNARDINO, L. M.; COSTA, P. S.; LIMA, V. L. A.; FERRAZ, L. R. S. REUSE POTENTIAL OF TREATED EFFLUENTS FOR PERIURBAN IRRIGATION IN THE MUNICIPALITY OF GUARABIRA/PB 2 ABSTRACT Water is at the center of sustainable development and a finite resource that is in short supply, which justifies the search for management and innovation of practices that preserve it. This research aims to evaluate the potential for reuse of treated effluent for periurban irrigation. Data were collected from a Sewage Treatment Plant (STP), located in the municipality of Guarabira, PB, and operated by the Water and Sewage Company of the State of Paraíba (CAGEPA), during the period from January to December 2019, with the analysis of the following physicochemical and bacteriological parameters: Hipogenic Potential (pH), Electrical Conductivity (CE), Biochemical Oxygen Demand (DBO), Chemical Oxygen Demand (DQO), Total Solids (ST), Dissolved Oxygen (OD), Total Phosphorus, and Thermotolerant Coliforms. The data were submitted to the descriptive analysis and expressed as minimum, maximum and average values. The indicators were satisfactory for restricted irrigation, but with the need for complementary treatment for certain crops. The potential for reuse of the effluents treated in the ETE can benefit an area of 118.7 ha considering an irrigation demand of 18,000 m³ ha-1 year-1, which demonstrates to be a sustainable resource that needs to be regulated in Brazil. Keywords: Water resources, liquid waste, water treatment, fertigation.

Keywords: matéria orgânica, nutrientes no solo, status hídrico. BORBOREMA, L. D. A.; COSTA, P. S.; VIANA, P. M. O.; BATISTA, Y. B. G.; SILVA, M. C.; FERRAZ, R. L. S. SHEEP MANURE INCREASES THE WATER HOLDING AND MAINTENANCE CAPACITY OF SOIL IN THE CARIRI PARAIBANO REGION 2 ABSTRACT Soil organic matter contributes to the sustainability of agricultural systems, as it influences the physical, chemical and biological attributes of the soil, stabilizing the productivity of agroecosystems. The organic matter content in the soil benefits the increase of the cation exchange capacity, ensuring the nutrients in the soil and reducing its losses due to leaching. In this sense, the objective was to evaluate different doses of sheep manure for retention and maintenance of water in the soil in the Microregion of Cariri, in Paraíba state. The design used was completely randomized with six doses of sheep manure (0, 5, 10, 15, 20 and 25%, w/w) and four replications. Weighing evaluations were carried out for six days, every 24 h, to determine the percentage of available water in relation to the soil dry mass (w/w). Data were subjected to analysis of variance at a 5% probability of error and means of sheep manure doses were submitted to polynomial regression. Sheep manure increases the capacity of retaining and maintaining water in the soil of Cariri, in Paraíba state, being an alternative to alleviate the problems caused by the loss of water through leaching and, therefore, improving the productive capacity of the soil and the life of producers. Keywords: organic matter, soil nutrients, water status.

Aim To find early predictors for poor neurodevelopmental outcome after neonatal group B streptococcal meningitis. Methods We retrospectively analyzed clinical characteristics of 23 patients with neonatal group B streptococcal meningitis and their neurodevelopmental outcome at 18 months. Available group B Streptococcus strains were serotyped and their genomes characterized. Results We found several differences between patients with early- (n = 5) and late-onset (n = 18) disease. Nine children had neurologic abnormalities at 18 months and 4 had epilepsy, all of them after late-onset disease. Most important risk factors for poor outcome were impaired consciousness at admission, hemodynamic instability, seizures, or abnormal electroencephalogram during the acute illness and abnormal neurologic and ophthalmologic examination at the end of treatment, whereas abnormalities in laboratory and imaging studies were not predictive. Hypervirulent serotype III, multilocus sequence type 17 group B Streptococcus was the predominant pathogen. Conclusions Neurodevelopmental impairment after neonatal group B streptococcal meningitis is likelier in those with clinical and neurophysiological features indicating worse disease severity.

Background Modulating the immune response has proven to be beneficial in different neurologic diseases, even in those not perceived thus far to be autoimmune. Methods Extensive literature search has been done for available data on vaccine safety, efficacy and immunization recommendations in patients with neuromuscular disease in general and when receiving immune-modulating treatments. Results Vaccinations have been associated with some neuromuscular diseases, but these occurrences are very rare and should not influence the general vaccination recommendations for the pediatric population and for the especially vulnerable patient populations, such as neuromuscular disease patients. Specific guidelines for the immunization of children with neuromuscular diseases in general and those on immune-suppressive treatments were not found, but most guidelines and standards of care for specific neuromuscular diseases recognize and stress the importance of vaccinations, some giving more specific instructions. Conclusion With just a few exceptions, vaccines are safe in this group of patients and they should receive the same immunizations and according to the same schedule, as all children. Live vaccines should not be administered in patients receiving high dose steroid or immune-modulating drugs such as anti-B cell treatments (rituximab), high dose methotrexate, azathioprine or 6-mercaptopurine. Whenever possible, all live vaccines should be administered prior to long term immune-suppressant treatments. Additional vaccines are recommended in this risk population of children (influenza, pneumococcal, varicella).

Introduction: Infections caused by intestinal parasites are a silent disease and their high morbidity and mortality rates, especially in children, have been reported in different studies. The high prevalence of parasites in this public is directly associated with the socioeconomic profile of the population, as well as structural development and climatic conditions of the studied regions. Objective: To describe the prevalence of enteroparasitosis in students of a municipal school in southwestern Bahia in 2019. Materials and Methods: This is a cross-sectional, descriptive and quantitative study conducted by applying a questionnaire and collecting parasitological material from 76 Elementary students from a city in southwest Bahia. Results: Among the studied population, 46 (60.5%) were female. Regarding age, they had an average of 8.7 years (± 1.9 years), and 36 (48%) considered themselves brown. The prevalence of enteroparasitosis was 21.1%, with Endolimax Nana (4.1%), Ascaris Lumbricoides (2.0%), Iodamoeba Butshilli (2.0%), Entamoeba Coli (14.3%), Enterobius Vermiculares (4.1%), Giardia Lamblia (6.1%). Conclusion: It was observed that the prevalence of enteroparasitosis in the children analyzed was low, with a predominance in females. This low rate may be related to factors such as the consumption of treated water and the presence of a sewage system, allied to the helminth control, prevention and monitoring work promoted by the Municipal Health Department.

A simple and practical domino protocol for the selective synthesis of 2-aroylbenzothiazoles and 2-aryl benzothiazoles catalyzed by I2 is developed under metal-free conditions. The reaction outcomes are exclusively controlled by the reaction oxidant/medium. With DMSO employed as both the solvent and the oxidant, an oxidation of aromatic methyl ketones takes precedence over the condensation with 2-aminobenzenethiols. On the other hand, when the reaction was carried out in PhNO2 or in 1,4-dioxane containing PhNO2, the condensation of aromatic methyl ketones with 2-aminobenzenethiols has priority to form imines which is followed by an oxidation of the methyl group from ketones to afford 2-arylbenzothiazoles as a sole product. The PhNO2/I2 co-catalytic system is proposed first time.

Introduction:Epidemiological studies revealed that maternal exposure to influenza A (H1N1) and Toxoplasma gondii (T. gondii) infection during pregnancy may increase the risk for mood disorders of the offspring. However, the impact of maternal infections in different stages of neural development and the nature of antigens remain to be elucidated. Objective: This study investigated behavioral impairments induced by maternal immune activation (MIA) due to H1N1 or T. gondii infection during preborn neurodevelopment. Methods: Maternal infection with influenza or toxoplasma was mimicked by administration of influenza vaccine antigens or suspension of soluble T. gondii antigen (STAg) in pregnant Balb/c mice at E6 or E16. Adult male offspring were evaluated for anxiety-like and depressive-like behavior in elevated plus maze (EPM) and forced swimming test (FST). Results: In FST, immobility time at E6 and E16 increased when the mothers were treated with both antigen solutions. There was increased immobility in the pups whose mothers were treated with STAg at E16. MIA with influenza antigens reduced the exploration of the open arms of EPM for the pups whose progenitors received treatment at E6 and E16. The animals at E6 exhibited a greater number of stretch-attend postures compared with the saline group. STAg at E6 reduced the time of exploration in the open arms and increased the number of stretch-attend postures compared with the saline group. Conclusion: These results suggest that immunological responses to H1N1 or T. gondii during pregnancy may impact differently the susceptibility of adult offspring to mood disorder.

Cassava wastewater has high organic load and concentration of nutrients and can cause damage to the environment when discarded indiscriminately. However, the residue can help agricultural production. Therefore, this study aimed to determine the appropriate doses of cassava wastewater to enable the highest production and quality of arugula. The experiment was conducted in a greenhouse, in a completely randomized design, consisting of eight treatments composed of the following doses: D1 = 0, D2 = 6.5, D3 = 13, D4 = 19.5, D5 = 26, D6 = 32.5, D7 = 39 and D8 = 45.5 m3 ha-1 of cassava wastewater with four replicates each. We used the arugula cultivar “Cultivada”, and samples of plant height, fresh matter, and shoot dry matter were performed at 15 and 30 days after emergence. The quality of arugula was evaluated through pH, total soluble solids and titratable total acidity. Cassava wastewater had a significant effect on plant height, fresh matter and dry matter of above ground part, pH and total soluble solids of arugula. However, titratable total acidity was not affected by treatments. Our results show that cassava wastewater is a good alternative fertilizer for arugula cultivation but at proper doses up to 26 m3 ha-1 applied through the crop cycle to avoid the deleterious effect of some nutrients in excess, such as potassium.

Jatropha curcas L. is a rustic plant with great potential for energy source. In semi-arid regions, where water scarcity has been one of the major problems, saline water is an alternative source in agriculture, although it causes losses in crop development and yield. This study was developed to evaluate the photochemical efficiency, gas exchange, and yield of Jatropha curcas irrigated with saline water. The experiment was carried out under five levels (L) of water electrical conductivity: L1 = 1.2, L2 = 1.8, L3 = 2.4, L4 = 3.0, and L5 = 3.6 dS m-1, (calibrated at 25 ºC). We conducted physiological assessments such as photochemical efficiency of photosystem II, gas exchange through stomatal conductance, transpiration, CO2 internal concentration and leaf net photosynthesis rate after application of saline water and following prunning. J. curcas production was measured based on the following variables, number of bunches per plant, number of fruits per plant, number of fruits per bunch, weight of shells per plant and weight of seeds per plant. Continuous application of saline water after J. curcas pruning caused a drastic reduction of up to 31.1% in gas exchange (A, gs, E, Ci, and A/Ci). Photochemical efficiency of photosystem II was restricted by salinity at 2.4 dS m-1 level. Increasing electrical conductivity in irrigation water at levels above 1.20 dS m-1 significantly reduced J. curcas production components by up to 77.3%. Irrigation with saline water up to the level 1.20 dS m-1 did not damage gas exchange and fruit production of Jatropha curcas crop.

Plant Science ,Agronomy and Crop Science - Abstract
Moringa oleifera is one of the most important plants in the world due to its multiple uses as well tolerance to abiotic stress. However, it may presents low quality seedlings in protected environment under thermal and luminous stresses. The current study aimed to evaluate environmental microclimate changes; photomorphogenesis and water use of M. oleifera cuttings under light spectral and phytohormones variations, as well as to identify the most important variables to explain those effects. A completely randomized experimental design was used in a 4 x 4 factorial design with four replications. Four luminosity conditions, white (a transparent plastic layer), blue (two layers of blue cellophane paper), red (two layers of red cellophane paper), and extreme red lights (one layer of red cellophane and one of alternating blue cellophane) and four phytohormones concentrations (0, 25, 50, and 100%) were applied. M. oleifera semi-woody cuttings were collected from 7 am to 9 am from the M. oleifera mother plants, grown on a rural property located in the city of Lagoa Seca, Paraíba, Brazil, with the following characteristics: 15 cm in length, 4 to 5 mm in diameter, and 2 or 3 buds. Throughout the experimental period, environments were monitored to determine illuminance, average air temperature, relative humidity, soil average temperature, and evapotranspirated water consumption by cuttings. The numbers of shoots were recorded weekly. The number of surviving roots and shoots were measured 60 days after M. oleifera cuttings planting. Illuminance was reduced in environments under blue, red, and extreme red lights, respectively. The air temperature was reduced under blue light, while red and extreme red lights induced the increase on air temperature and relative humidity, soil temperature, and therefore, water consumption of cuttings. Protected environments when irradiated with blue light and application of phytohormones at concentrations of 25 and 50% enabled the shootings and survival of cuttings, although no root formation was observed after 60 days from planting. All variables were considered important to explain the effects.

To investigate the correlation between the four dimensions of Oral Health-Related Quality of Life (OHRQoL) and Health-Related Quality of Life (HRQoL) constructs in a dental patient population.A cross-sectional study carried out at HealthPartners, Minnesota, USA. This study is a secondary data analysis of available adult dental patients' data. The instruments used to assess the OHRQoL and HRQoL constructs were the Oral Health Impact Profile-version with 49 items (OHIP-49) and Patient-Reported Outcome Measures Information System (PROMIS) measures v.1.1 Global Health instruments Patient Reported Outcome Measures (PROMs), respectively. We used Structural Equation Modeling to determine the correlation between OHRQoL and HRQoL.Two thousand and seventy-six dental patients participated in the study. OHRQoL and HRQoL scores correlated with 0.56 (95%CI:0.52-0.60). The OHRQoL and Physical Health dimension of HRQoL correlated with 0.55 (95%CI:0.51-0.59). The OHRQoL and Mental Health dimension of HRQoL correlated with 0.51 (95%CI:0.47-0.55). When adjusted for age, gender, and depression, the correlation coefficients changed only slightly and resulted in 0.52 between OHRQoL and HRQoL Physical Health, and 0.47 between OHRQoL and HRQoL Mental Health. Model fit statistics for all analyses were adequate and indicated a good fit.OHRQoL and HRQoL overlap greatly. For dental practitioners, the OHRQoL score is informative for their patients' general health status and vice versa. Study results indicate that effective therapeutic interventions by dentists improve patients' OHRQoL as well as HRQoL.Določiti korelacijo med štirimi dimenzijami konstrukta z oralnim zdravjem povezana kakovost življenja (ang. Oral Health-Related Quality of Life ali krajše OHRQoL) in konstruktom z zdravjem povezana kakovost življenja (ang. Health-Related Quality of Life ali krajše HRQoL) pri zobozdravstvenih pacientih.Podatki zobozdravstvenih pacientov so bili v tej presečni raziskavi pridobljeni s klinike HealthPartners, Minnesota, ZDA. Pokazatelji stopnje prileganja modelov so bili ustrezni in so pokazali dobro prileganje.

Introduction: The introduction of biological medication in Juvenile Idiopathic Arthritis (JIA) proposes better therapeutic results with decreased pain and inflammation and consequent reduction in joint damage. The autonomic state can be a predictor for verifying the response to immunomodulation therapy. Thus, measuring heart rate variability can express autonomous behavior and possibly accompany the response to therapy through the expression of the inflammatory condition. Objective: Analysis of heart rate variability in a child with Juvenile Idiopathic Arthritis using the anti-Tumor Necrosis Factor. Methods: This is a clinical case report of an 8-year-old male with a diagnosis of JIA - oligoarticular form, using etanercept, admitted to Clínica Escola de Fisioterapia UNINORTE, Acre, Brazil in 2017. We analyzed laboratory and imaging tests, kinetic-functional evaluation, examination of cardiac autonomic modulation and physiotherapeutic treatment for analgesic, anti-inflammatory purposes, gaining flexibility, strength and postural re-education, according to CARE guidelines, case report guidelines. Results: After medication administration, there was a decrease in pain and normalization of serum creatinine (0.50 mg / dL) and CRP (less than 6 mg / dL) and an increase in erythrocyte sedimentation rate (17 mm3). In the examination of heart rate variability, the linear indices in the time domain showed a predominance of parasympathetic activity (RMSSD: 35ms), with decreased sympathetic control measured through the frequency domain (LF: 27.1 un). However, non-linear methods showed low variability with little dispersion of RR intervals. Conclusion: In the present report, the linear indices showed parasympathetic predominance and in the non-linear analysis a low heart rate variability with abnormal and insufficient adaptation of the autonomic nervous system in a child with juvenile idiopathic arthritis using biological medication.
