The goal of this paper was to evaluate the possibility of using terrestrial laser scanning (TLS) for inventorying of a hybrid constructed wetland (CW) wastewater treatment plant. The object under study was a turtle-shaped system built in 2015 in Eastern Poland. Its main purpose is the treatment of wastewater from the Museum and Education Centre of Polesie National Park. The study showed that the CW system had been built in compliance with the technical documentation, as differences between values obtained from the object and those given in the design project (max. ± 20 cm for situation and ±5 cm for elevation) were within the range defined by the legislator. It was also shown that the results were sufficiently precise to be used for as-built surveying of the aboveground elements of the CW system. The TLS technique can also be employed to analyse quantitative changes in object geometry arising during long-term use (e.g. landmass slides or erosion), the identification of which can help in selecting the hot-spots at risk of damage and thus restore the object to its original state as well as prevent new changes.

The article has analytical and conceptual character. It contains a detailed analysis of the scope of cadastral information on waters based on actual data from the regional databases, which are established in four logistically major cities in Poland: Warsaw, Krakow, Wroclaw and Szczecin. The authors examine the contents of water cadastre databases in Poland and possibilities of using them in building the 3D cadastre. The concept of using water cadastre as a subsystem of the 3D cadastre presented in the work was carried out using graphical methods of the object-oriented analysis. The authors present a Real Estate Cadastre (REC) model based on synchronisation of the Land Register databases with the water cadastre databases carried out in District Water Management Boards. Modernisation and thematic expansion of Land Register databases, which act in Poland as cadastre, consistent with the presented REC model is a chance to improve the real estate market in Poland.

The patchwork of land is one of the main factors negatively affecting agricultural production. Lands located in the external patchwork can be fully used for agricultural production, but the production costs are higher, and the income from the farm is smaller. The spatial layout of individual land in villages has undergone continuous changes over the centuries, which has led to their defectiveness through the occurrence of fragmentation and scattering of plots, the lack of access or large distances from the farm house. The article presents a detailed study of the spatial layout of the individual land in 29 villages of the commune of Cyców, located in Łęczyński County, Lubelskie Voivodship. The subject of the research was the fragmentation of plots of individual owners, land layout, and scattering of cadastral plots. In this work the index of the external border shape for the analyzed village was also calculated. Regarding the fact that the shape of the village is one of the most difficult properties to measure in the research, the index of shape for each village was calculated by the use of the coefficient of the expansion of borders assuming a square as a model figure. Circumference of the actual village and its area were used for calculations. The sizes of land of local and external non-resident owners of the commune of Cyców were also presented in terms of area and number of plots and the number of owners.

The aim of the study was to demonstrate differences in the areas of forest land disclosed in two registers. For the analysis four land registration units in two neighbouring administrative districts were adopted. Analysis of forest land area data compared in two databases showed significant differences. The comparison was made for the databases of the Local Data Bank of the Central Statistical Office of Poland (BDL) containing statistical data and for the land and buildings registry containing data that constitute the basis for tax calculation.

Any process of extracting solid minerals beneath the surface of the Earth affects the subsidence caused by the rock movements. Tthe article attempts to present the impact of underground exploitation of coal in the area of the municipality of Puchaczów, for a change of the use of agricultural land. One of the effects is mining subsidence, which occurred in the area. To minimize a negative impact on the structure of agricultural holdings in Bogdanka mine specific actions should be taken by both the community of sites relegated as well as the local authorities.
