The analysis of the basic parameters of the dosage of molten iron in metal forms using the magnetodynamic installation MDN-6CH. A schematic diagram has been developed for controlling the electromagnetic systems of the unit. The technology of dosing and pouring metal into the chill mold has been developed in the manufacture of cast iron balls with a diameter of 40 and 120 mm. At the optimal casting temperature, the electrical parameters of the inductor (voltage Ui, current Ii, power Ri) were in the range Ui = 250-300 V, Ii = 480-520 A, Ri = 140-160 kW. When reducing the mass of metal in the crucible MDN-6CH using a control scheme made switching inductor from a voltage of 300 V to 250 V. The power was reduced by 15-20 kW, and the temperature of the metal remained within the tolerance of the technology of metal casting. Using the adopted dosing scheme, it became possible to cast metal at constant parameters of the electromagnetic system and the time of pouring. The technology of dispensing and pouring metal into the mold for the production of cast iron balls with a diameter of 40 and 120 mm was carried out at an inductor voltage of 300 V, and the electromagnet - 220 V. The initial level of metal on the drain socket was equal to 20 mm. The molding time of molds in the manufacture of balls with a diameter of 40 mm was 7.3 s, and balls with a diameter of 120 mm - 16.2 s. The operating time of the electromechanical actuator was set in the manufacture of balls with a diameter of 40 mm - 0.35 s, and balls with a diameter of 120 mm - 0.75s. The consumption of metal in the manufacture of balls with a diameter of 40 and 120 mm was in the range of 0.7-0.75 kg / s and 1.65-1.70 kg / s, respectively. The metal casting was carried out at temperatures of 1320-1340 ° C and 1360-1380 ° C. The dosage accuracy was determined by weighing the metal of the poured balls and the molding system of the mold. Mathematical processing of the results of the dosing showed that in the manufacture of balls with a diameter of 40 mm at a temperature of 1320 °C the error of dosing is 10-11%. With increasing iron temperature, the dosage error decreases and at a metal temperature of 1370 °C is 5-6%. In the manufacture of balls with a diameter of 120 mm at a temperature of iron 1330, the dosage error is 7-8%, and at a temperature of 1360 ° C - 3-4%. The study of the characteristics of the casting and dosing process of cast iron in the chill mold allowed us to develop the technology of casting cast iron melts, which provided the required metering accuracy and high productivity of the conveyor production of grinding bodies.

The article presents an overview of the renaming tendencies in Russia of the 2010s and the main stakeholders of the name changing. On the base of the administration websites, online media petitions and other open sources, three cases are examined in detail: 1) Perm, where half of Maksim Gorky street was renamed after the surgeon Sergey Sukhanov in 2015; 2) Kazan, where at the same time Esperanto street was renamed after Nursultan Nazarbaev, causing mass protests for several years; 3) Volgograd, with the discussions about returning to its older name Stalingrad being led for years. Based on the analysis of these cases, the following tendencies are identified: changes of stakeholders motivation for renamings, transfer of power to name from parliamentary institutions to administration, a new perception of the city center and distant districts; and, finally, the appearance of alternative mechanisms of social memory encouraged by the wiping out of older names.

Research and use of composite materials for scientific experiments, engineering activities, as well as industrial purposes has expanded significantly, since the development of technologies for the production of composite materials has made it possible to create and research new types of their physical and chemical properties, reinforcement schemes and fiber lengths, etc. This paper presents the results of computational and experimental studies of the elastic and damping properties of a composite material. The studies were carried out on samples of laminated fiberglass, the dimensions of which are 160 × 16 × 4 mm, cut in three directions, in the direction of the warp, weft and at an angle of 45 degrees, five samples were cut in each direction. To study the mechanical properties of the obtained cantilever samples, the electrodynamic shaker was used. The study of damping properties was carried out by the Oberst method based on the experiment of the frequency response characteristics of cantilever samples. The determination of Young's moduli of laminated fiberglass samples was carried out by the dynamic method, and also the theory of vibrations of continuous systems was used. The experimental data obtained are compared with the results of numerical solutions performed by the finite element method (FEM). Geometric and finite element models were constructed and the natural frequencies and vibration modes of the samples were determined. Frequency and phase response characteristics are given. To reduce the error according to the results of the experiment, statistical processing was carried out. The values of the mathematical expectation and the standard deviation of the mechanical loss coefficient are calculated. The estimation of the measurement error was made on the assumption of the normal distribution of the error.

The article presents the results of the study on component composition of numismatic material from excavations on site of hillfort (gorodishche) Solkhat in 2018–2019. The examined originals are represented by samples of lower denomination coin-striking of Solkhat–Qrim, starting from Pūls of Khan Mengu-Timur (Mongke Temur) (1266–1282) to Khan Tokhtamysh (1380–1395). The component composition is compared with Pūls struck in other mints, namely, Sarai al-Jadid, as-Sarai (Sarai), Azak, and Urdu (Urdu).

The results of numerical modeling of white dwarf mergers on massive parallel supercomputers using a AVX-512 technique are presented. A hydrodynamic model of white dwarfs closed by a star equation of state and supplemented by a Poisson equation for the gravitational potential is constructed. This paper presents a modification based on a local linear reconstruction of the solution of the Rusanov scheme for the hydrodynamic equations. This reconstruction makes it possible to considerably decrease the numerical dissipation of the scheme for weak shock waves without any external piecewise polynomial reconstruction. The scheme is efficient for unstructured grids, when it is difficult to construct a piecewise polynomial solution, and also in parallel implementations of structured nested or adaptive grids, when the costs of interprocess interactions increase significantly. As input data, piecewise constant values of the physical variables in the left and right cells of a discontinuity are used. The smoothness of the solution is measured by the discrepancy between the maximum left and right eigenvalues. This discrepancy is used for a local piecewise polynomial reconstruction in the left and right cells. Then the solutions are integrated along the characteristics taking into account the piecewise linear representation of the physical variables. A performance of 234 gigaflops and 33-fold speedup are obtained on two Intel Skylake processors on the cluster NKS-1P of the Siberian Supercomputer Center ICM & MG SB RAS.

Aim . To compare the kinetics of dissolution (in vitro) and some pharmacodynamic and pharmacokinetic parameters of branded generic preparations of acetylsalicylic acid (ASA) in buffered form in cardioprotective doses [ASA 75 mg+Mg(OH) 2 15.2 mg], which differ in the composition of excipients, with a reference drug. Material and methods . Patients with cardiovascular diseases who had indications for ASA monotherapy (n=75) were included in a one-center open postregistration comparative non-randomized study. Patients were divided into 3 groups for treatment with one of the three studied drugs: Cardiomagnyl® (comparison drug; group 1; n=25), Trombital® (group 2; n=25) and Fazostabil® (group 3; n=25). A study of the kinetics of dissolution of the studied drugs in vitro under conditions of pH 1.2 has been performed. Also, platelet aggregation in response to arachidonic acid, the concentration of salicylic acid and the level of serum thromboxane B 2 were studied in the compared groups. Results . The average release profile of ASA by the 30th minute from Cardiomagnyl® was higher than for Trombital® and Fazostabil® (95.7%, 84.8%, 76.5% respectively). An analysis properties of the constitutive relations of the theory of deformation for physically nonlinear materials with properties depending on the type of stress state is carried out. These relations take into account two forms of nonlinearity, one of them is associated with the nonlinearity of the deformation diagrams and another one is associated with the change in these diagrams depending on the loading conditions. The distributions of stresses and strains in a rotating disk made of a material with properties sensitive to the type of stress state are investigated and a comparison with the results of calculations for a material with properties invariant to the form of external forces is performed.

The article is presented the description of rare clinical observation of the patient with pharyngeal lipofibroma complicated by compression syndrome, accompanied by impaired swallowing and breathing. The patient was successfully operated on with cervical access.

The article is concerned with the study of main biological properties of bacteria B. trematum species. In this work the research results of their tinctorial, cultural and biochemical properties are shown, with the view to grounding for setup scheme of isolation and bacteriological test of stated microorganism. According to obtained data bacteria of the given species represents gram-negative, coccoid bacillus that are able to grow both on usual and differentially diagnostic mediums. Bacteria B. trematum grow in temperature range of 17-420С, optimal temperature of cultivation is 37˚С. It should be noticed that the most relevant medium for cultivation is bordetellagar It was established that bacteria grow on the sodium chloride mediums in the range of 3-5%. It was found that studied culture of bacteria B. trematum shows проявляет asugarlytic properties, has positive reaction on catalase, negative reaction on cytochrome oxidase and DNAse. Also during the research it was established that bacteria B. trematum doesn’t utilize urea and citrate, has weak proteolytic activity and doesn’t utilize a number of amino acids. Similar results were obtained when using the set Api 20 E and NEFERMtest 24. Additionally it was established that B. trematum doesn’t reconstruct nitrates to nitrites, doesn’t enzyme β-galactosidase, adrinin hydrolase, triptophane dyaminaze, lysine decarboxylase, ornithine decarboxylase and urea doesn’t utilize citrates, doesn’t produce H2S, indole and acetone, doesn’t oxidate sucrose, melibios, amigdalin . Research results represented in the article provide the basis of isolation scheme and identification of bacteria of given species.

Introduction. The article focuses mainly on the activities of I.V. Stalin Crimean State Medical Institute during the Great Patriotic War, its main areas of work. Comprehensive scientific developments on this issue are not available in Russian historiography. Methods and materials. The research is carried out based on a variety of archival sources from the funds of the State Archive of the Russian Federation (SARF, Moscow), which are introduced into scientific discourse for the first time. Various groups of documents are widely involved: correspondence of S.R. Tatevosov, director of the institute, with the authorities on the functioning of the university; directives, decrees of state institutions reflected in the activities of the medical institute; university reporting and planning documentation. Analysis. Employees and students of Crimean Medical Institute were forced to leave the peninsula after the outbreak of the Great Patriotic War, from the moment of the threat of occupation of the Crimea. The university team had to be evacuated along the route: Armavir – Tbilisi – Krasnovodsk – Dzhambul – again Armavir – Ordzhonikidze – Baku – Krasnovodsk – Kzyl-Orda. Their wanderings lasted almost a year, however, the university did not stop its activities for a single day as the front was in dire need of medical specialists. Two turnouts graduated in Kzyl-Orda in incredibly difficult conditions. In total, from June 1941 to July 1944, the institute trained 850 doctors, wherefore the university staff was awarded with personal thanks of I.V. Stalin. Results. The heroic history of I.V. Stalin Crimean State Medical Institute during the Great Patriotic War has been restored. The activity of lecturers of the institute during the period of forced evacuation to the territory of the Kazakh Soviet Socialist Republic (the city of Kzyl-Orda) has been analyzed. The stage of resuming the work of the university after its re-evacuation to Simferopol has been recreated in detail, the measures taken to prepare for the beginning of the first academic year in the Crimea in the autumn of 1944 have been restored. In order to prepare the study, the authors have carried out a detailed historiographic analysis, and have selected the source base carefully.

Tumors caused by loss-of-function mutations in genes encoding TCA cycle enzymes have been recently discovered and are now of great interest. Mutations in succinate dehydrogenase (SDH) subunits cause pheochromocytoma/paraganglioma (PCPG) and syndromically associated tumors, which differ phenotypically and clinically from more common SDH-intact tumors of the same types. Consequences of SDH deficiency include rewired metabolism, pseudohypoxic signaling and altered redox balance. PCPG with SDHB mutations are particularly aggressive, and development of treatments has been hampered by lack of valid experimental models. Attempts to develop mouse models have been unsuccessful. Using a new strategy, we developed a xenograft and cell line model of SDH-deficient pheochromocytoma from rats with a heterozygous germline Sdhb mutation. The genome, transcriptome and metabolome of this model, called RS0, closely resemble those of SDHB-mutated human PCPGs, making it the most valid model now available. Strategies employed to develop RS0 may be broadly applicable to other SDH-deficient tumors.

The paper describes conducted feasibility study and scientific and technical basis for creation of technology for drilling tools with diamond-carbide cutting elements. The results of technological processes of production of diamond-carbide inserts (DCI) manufactured by Technological Institute for Superhard and Novel Carbon Materials (TISNUM), which are designed for operation and implementation in various drilling conditions were presented. The DCI differentiated physic-chemical and performance characteristics, depending on the physic-mechanical properties of rocks formations, the particular construction of wells and other drilling conditions. A complex of studies of physical and mechanical properties of DCI, their relationship with the structural and technological factors, performance of bits equipped with DCI, the nature of bits wear were conducted, including pilot testing of new polycrystalline diamond compact bits (PDC bits) with polycrystalline diamond cutters produced by TISNUM at the facilities of JSC Gazprom Neft. The possibilities of industrial production of DCI and premium drilling bits on the basis of TISNUM technologies are shown, which will ensure demands of the Russian oil and gas industry, allowing import dependence elimination, and in future start of export. Ultimately, by 2025, with the help of new technologies, it will be possible to occupy up to 25– 30% of the global market for drilling tools and equipment.

An analysis of the properties of the constitutive equations of the theory of plasticity for porous media using Green’s yield criterion is carried out. It is shown that this criterion is one of the possible yield criteria for materials with plastic properties depending on the type of stress state, with the only difference being that the coefficients depend on the porosity parameter. Therefore, the yield criterion can be represented in an appropriate generalized form using a parameter of the form of the stress state, which is the ratio of the hydrostatic stress component to the effective von Mises stress, called in the literature the stress triaxiality. A semi-analytical solution to the problem of a space with a cylindrical hole under plane strain conditions is obtained. The stress distributions corresponding to the obtained solution is compared with the stress distributions in a similar problem for a solid, which plastic properties are invariant to the type of the stress state. The effect of porosity on the stress distribution and the size of the plastic region is investigated.

We conducted a comparative interdisciplinary study of the brain regulatory functions in adolescents aged 13–16 years with (n = 82) and without (n = 125) signs of deviant behavior. The first group consisted of adolescents with behavioral and emotional problems at school and in interacting with their parents, as reported by school psychologists. We used standardized questionnaires to assess individual tendencies towards deviant behavior. The effectiveness of executive functions was assessed by neuropsychological examinations. The functioning of the brain regulatory systems was analyzed using the visual structural analysis of EEG traces. According to the results of EEG analysis, signs of deviant behavior correlated with suboptimal functioning of various parts of the brain regulatory systems (RS). In adolescents with signs of deviant behavior, the EEG patterns of limbic origin were most prominent and were observed significantly more often than in the control group. The same group differences were found for the EEG patterns of fronto-thalamic and fronto-basal origin as well as for EEG changes in the lateral frontal areas of the left hemisphere. Adolescents with the EEG signs of suboptimal functioning of different parts of RS demonstrated both common and specific tendencies towards deviant behavior and the deficiency of various components of voluntary control. At the same time, the same behavioral problems were accompanied by the EEG patterns of different origins. The obtained results suggest that suboptimal RS functioning is an important neurophysiological mechanism, which underlies behavioral deviations in adolescents. They also indicate the heterogeneous nature of deviant behavior and the need for individual assessment of the brain regulatory functions for the diagnostics and correction of behavioral deviations.

The paper considers the task of evaluating product quality indicators based on the results of measurements obtained during the control testing. Data processing is proposed to be carried out in two stages. First stage comprises data compression via cluster analysis, and the second stage uses the procedure of non-parametric estimation of the observed measurements to evaluate the quality of small samples with an unknown distribution law. Quality scores are defined as guaranteed scores on a set of distributions with moments equal to sample points found from a small sample. A number of theoretical statements are formulated, and a model example is given.

The article describes a new device for studying the act of sucking in animals. The device is designed to record the parameters that occur during the sucking act: compression forces, pushing forces, rarefaction, their amplitudes, frequencies and phases. Studies were conducted among 10 calves at different ages to determine the parameters of the sucking process. It was found that the minimum dilution in the oral cavity of a calf is observed at 2 days of age - 10.5 kPa. At 7 days of age, it amounted to 14.9 kPa, at 12 days of age - 17.3. The maximum value is observed at 28 days of age - 27.1 kPa. The compression force on the nipple also increases with age. If at 2 days of age it is 28.8 N, then at 28 days of age it is 59.1 N. When sucking, calves push the udder with an effort of 28.0 (2 days old), 31.3 (7 days) 38.9 (12 days), 46.1 (17 days), 50.1 (22 days) and 51.2 N (28 days). The frequency of sucking movements varies from 1.8 to 2.3 Hz, respectively, at 2 and 28 days of age.

This research proposes new metal structural elements based on metamaterials as a replacement of conventional enforcement bars, which reduce metal consumption and increase stiffness and strength. Modern manufacturing machines based on lasers has a capability of fast one-side welding. This type of machines are standard now, what makes this procedure fast and cheap. Another aspect of the nowadays usage of metamaterials for construction works is the possibility to model them with all small details. Ten or twenty years ago modelling of numerous small elements covered by concreate was too expensive, even for one slab not to mention the whole building or a bridge. This work demonstrates one variant of metal reinforcement of concreate plate based on pyramid type elements. This type of pyramid reinforcements was inspired by the analysis of topology optimization of maximum stiffness of structure in case of bending. It was shown numerically, that under condition of three point bending such kind of plate has up to two times higher strength capabilities then conventional plate with equivalent metal consumption.

The purpose of the work is to study and assess the state of underground water in the Moscow region used for drinking water supply and to develop measures to improve the quality of underground water. There was made an analysis of the state of the main operated aquifers and their dynamics and were found basic regularities of the formation of the hydrogeological regime of the exploited horizons in the Moscow region. The main factors affecting the chemical composition of groundwater were considered. Modern approaches were developed and proposed to solve the problem of preserving the quality of underground water for drinking water supply. To ensure the quality of underground water intake in the Moscow region, recommendations were developed to preserve the quality of underground water and the necessary set of environmental measures was proposed to minimize the deterioration of the drinking water quality. Timely identification of possible sources of deterioration in the quality of underground water and usage of innovative technologies for underground water treatment of from pollution will prevent from risky situations in the problem of assessing the quality of the underground water used for domestic and drinking needs of the population. Implementation of the proposed measures will improve environmental conditions of the ground water resources within the Moscow region.

Last decades, an increased attention has been paid to the deep understanding of the processes caused by residual stresses in laminated composites, specifically, shape distortion and possible damage of the product at the stage of manufacturing. The presence of residual stresses in the composite material affects the occurrence of such defects as delamination, warping, as well as the appearance of microcracks in the matrix of the material, which has a significant impact on the static and fatigue strength of the final product made of composite material. In this paper, we consider the change of the distribution of the residual stress field caused by manufacturing process in the specimen with initial delamination defect (crack) due to appearance of free edge cut. Different length of initial crack has been analyzed with well-known composite material AS4/8552-1. The curing model is numerically implemented using ABAQUS finite element modeling package with special user subroutines. The coupled thermal and stress problem under plane strain conditions is solved for the modelling of curing. The history of energy release rates under mode I, II (GI, GII) were analyzed over time during process of polymerization and free edge cut appearance using seam crack technique. A slight increase in the GI and GII values at the crack tip during polymerization and a multiple excess of these values after a mechanical cut is shown. On the contrary obtained by modelling levels of stress components are essential and cannot be ignored in consequent structural analysis. The results of the study can be applied for prediction of residual stresses in composite structure by means of simulation and further understanding the nature of fracture of composites.

In this paper a method for fault detection and identification of affine input nonlinear systems is presented, which is based on derivative estimation with orthonormal Jacobi polynomials. A systematic approach is presented to derive a residual and a differential algebraic expression of the fault from the system description, which solely depends on measurable input and output signals as well as on their time derivatives. For this, a systematic algorithm is provided, which can be directly implemented in computer algebra packages. Furthermore, arbitrary disturbances are taken into account, by making use of a disturbance decoupling. Fault detection and identification is then achieved by polynomial approximation of the determined fault or residual expression. The results are illustrated for a faulty point-mass satellite model.

This paper proposes an approach for the modeling of crushing behavior of absorbing structural components, made of fiber-reinforced composite material. The effect of strain rate dependency of material properties is in the focus of this research, thus proposed material model is based on introduction of damage parameters, and high rate behavior is expressed in terms of damage rate. Stress-strain response of typical carbon fiber-reinforced composite to a wide range of impact loading rates provides data for calibration of the proposed model. Abaqus explicit solver with implemented user material model is used for direct 3D finite element simulation of impact with tubular specimen. Impact initiation process is considered in details to explain initial peak appearance on load diagram not only caused by the tube chamfer failure with consequent transfer of crushing process to a regular tubular zone, but also as effect of strain-rate dependency. Simulation shows a good agreement with typical load-displacement curves and crashworthiness values.

The issue of assessing the traffic safety level is one of the most urgent tasks in traffic organization, planning and management. The article analyzes the criteria of traffic flow conditions’ assessment and describes a relationship between traffic safety and traffic capacity. The authors propose an approach to assessing the level of traffic safety, which is based on the principles of multi-criteria assessment. This approach makes it possible to formulate the concept and principles of designing a hierarchical system for assessing the level of traffic safety with regard to tasks of assessing traffic safety in regions.

Information on fault tectonics and the deep structure of the global trans-Eurasian belt of dislocations and planetary megafractures (Baltic-Iranian Super Lineament) is generalized based on the analysis of literary, geological and geophysical, cartographic, cosmographic materials, including the results of tectonic lineaments interpretation of cosmo-images of the Earth’s surface. The features of its distribution and segmentation are clarified. This Super Lineament is the trans-Eurasian structure of a planetary rank — an integral part of the regularly spatially oriented ancient reghmatic fault net of Eurasia, formed at the early stages of the formation of the rigid earth crust under the influence of global stresses associated with the factor of rotation of the Earth. The long-lived nature of the belt (the Upper Proterozoic — Cenozoic) and its quasi-stationary position throughout its formation history, as well as the absence of large-scale, hundreds of kilometers, of shear displacements along it and at intersections with transverse tectolineament belts of a similar rank indicate the low probability of the plate-tectonic convergence model of Afro-Arabia and Eurasia. The destruction model of the once united Afro-Eurasian continent in a potentially shear field of relatively low amplitude (on a planetary scale) dislocations is preferable. The geodynamic mode of formation and development of the belt as a whole cannot be described by any one type — riftogenic, or collisional ones. Regional and supra-regional zones of extension (riftogenic zones) and compression (collision) alternate in it periodically. It shows the global nature of the belt, the union of different geodynamic regimes in it, as well as the wave character and hierarchy of the tectonic process.

SummaryCells migrating through complex 3D environments experience considerable physical challenges including tensile stress and compression. To move, cells need to resist these forces whilst also squeezing the large nucleus through confined spaces. This requires highly coordinated cortical contractility. Microtubules can both resist compressive forces and sequester key actomyosin regulators to ensure appropriate activation of contractile forces. Yet, how these two roles are integrated to achieve nuclear transmigration in 3D is largely unknown. Here, we demonstrate that compression triggers reinforcement of a dedicated microtubule structure at the rear of the nucleus by the mechanoresponsive recruitment of CLASPs (cytoplasmic linker-associated proteins) which dynamically strengthens and repairs the lattice. These reinforced microtubules form the mechanostat: an adaptive feedback mechanism that allows the cell to both withstand compressive force and spatiotemporally organise contractility signalling pathways. The microtubule mechanostat facilitates nuclear positioning and coordinates force production to enable the cell to pass through constrictions. Disruption of the mechanostat imbalances cortical contractility, stalling migration and ultimately resulting in catastrophic cell rupture. Our findings reveal a new role for microtubules as cellular sensors which detect and respond to compressive forces, enabling movement and ensuring survival in mechanically demanding environments.One Sentence SummaryMechanically tuned microtubules form a mechanostat to coordinate contractility and nuclear positioning in confined migration.

We report on experimental study of the effect of disorder on electronic parameters and inelastic scattering mechanisms in ultrathin superconducting NbN films, which are commonly used in single-photon detectors. An increase in disorder in the studied 2.5 nm thick NbN films characterized by Ioffe-Regel parameter from 6.3 to 1.6 is accompanied by a decrease in the critical temperature $T_c$ from 11.5 K to 3.4 K. By measuring magnetoconductance in the range from $T_c$ to $\sim3T_c$, we extract the inelastic scattering rates of electrons, including electron-phonon (e-ph) scattering rates $\tau_{e-ph}^{-1}$. We observe that $\tau_{e-ph}^{-1}$ and their temperature dependencies are insensitive to disorder that is not described by the existing models of the e-ph scattering in disordered metals and can be due to the presence of weakly disordered metal grains. As the temperature decreases the temperature dependence $\tau_{e-ph}^{-1}$ changes from $T^3$ to $T^2$, which can be result of a decrease in the dimension of the phonons involved in the e-ph scattering.
