In this study, we resolve the problem of predicting the incidence of diabetes on the basis of clinical data on human health by machine learning. A genetic method has been developed to optimize the neural network weights for solving the problem of predicting the risk of diabetes. A method of selecting the individuals for parental pairs based on their relatedness and two mutation methods of chromosome genes are proposed. The main difference between the created methods and the existing ones is that when the mutations the values of the selected genes are calculated on the basis of their average values and then the value is added, subtracted or reset. The obtained results allow to offer effective methods for improving the quality of predicting the presence of diabetes, which will improve the process of diagnosis and treatment of the disease.

Interval type-2 fuzzy sets are often used in the designing of fuzzy systems associated with the speed control under uncertainty. In this paper, we consider the possibilities of using interval type-2 fuzzy sets to describing the uncertainties that arise when defining input variables. These uncertainties can be presented as the different meanings on the same dynamic system or changes in the technical parameters that occur due to external factors. We also present complex interval type-2 fuzzy sets and give the examples of their use to reduce the number of fuzzy sets and rules in a fuzzy knowledge base. The necessary conditions for the construction of complex interval type-2 fuzzy sets and methods for determining lower and upper membership functions in them are also given. The footprint of uncertainty for the complex interval type-2 fuzzy set is presented with upper and lower membership functions of different fuzzy sets. All methods which are described in this work can be used in decision support systems design, to select the optimal parameters of a nonlinear system, or in fuzzy speed controller design.

Using a two-current model [1], [2] and the theory of dimensional effects [3], [4], a qualitative analysis of the giant magnetoresistance effect in a three-layer magnetically ordered film (sandwich), which is quantitatively characterized by a magnetoresistance ratio (MRR) $\delta$, was presented. It was shown that in the region of small thickness of the magnetic covering layer, in comparison with the thickness of the basic metal layer and the non-magnetic layer, the MRR of the conductor increased, while in the opposite region of the thickness of the magnetic covering layer, the opposite trend is observed, namely, the value of $\delta$ decreased. In the case when the thickness of the magnetic covering layer of the metal coincided with the total thickness of the basic magnetic layer and the non-magnetic layer, the MRR reached its maximum value due to the absence of a shunt effect.

Based on the generalized Dieny formula [1], [2], a theoretical analysis of the dependence of the magnetoresistance ratio $\delta$, which quantities the effect of giant magnetoresistance (GMR) in a magnetically ordered three-layer film with a thickness $D=d_{m1}+d_{n}+d_{m2}, (d_{m1}$ and d m2 - thickness of the basic and covering magnetic layers of the metal, respectively, d n thickness of the non-magnetic layer), on the thickness of the covering magnetic layer d m2 was performed. It was shown that in the case of performing inequalities $d_{m2}\lt \lt (d_{n}+d_{m1}), (d_{m2}\gt \gt (d_{n}+d_{m1}))$ the value of $\delta$ is negligible due to shunting the resistance of the covering layer with the resistances of the basic layer and the non-magnetic layer (shunting the resistance of the basic layer and the non-magnetic layer with the resistance of the covering magnetic layer). If the equality $d_{m2}=(d_{n}+d_{m1})$ is met, the value of $\delta$ becomes the maximum (amplitude) value due to the absence of a shunting effect.

This study provides a description of a unified model of a passenger train, including an AC electric locomotive with a ЄII1M series DC commutator traction motor, as well as 61–836 (reserved seat) and 61-820K (compartment) series passenger cars. This unified model combines three subsystems - electrical, mechanical and pneumatic. The initial data for the selection of control actions during movement can be both the recorder of motion and automatic operation parameters data and the calculated parameter values. The developed model quite accurately describes the processes of movement, their numerical values and the nature of changes in all modes of train movement, the error is no more than 4.5%. Such an approach allows precisely reproducing the real train movement and investigating various processes.

The article deals with the problem of development and research of a computational method for multi-mode moving objects' control optimization. This class of objects is characterized by an optimal-terminal control, with restrictions on control and phase coordinates under conditions of parametric uncertainty, variations of external environment and the controlled object's parameters. The executive subsystems of the controlled object are usually equipped with non-terminal regulators. Their tasks are formed by a human operator (a pilot, a driver, a locomotive driver, a helmsman) or a top-level system (for example, a system of terminal control, trajectory planning, or a travel time regulating). During operation, there are often complicated driving situations when the operator has to interfere with the control process. In this regard, the development of multi-mode moving objects' optimal-terminal control methods is vital issue, because they allow to improve the control quality and to eliminate the human factor. In particular, this problem is characteristic for the railway electric rolling stock, and that is confirmed by an operation analysis of existing locomotive fleet. One of the promising directions for solving this problem is the development of optimal-terminal control computational methods. The article represents an algorithm based on random search, and proposes a software complex for calculation the program-reference trajectory of a train moving on a given section in accordance with the schedule. At the same time, optimal power consumption for traction is achieved. The method reduces original optimal control task to the one of parametric synthesis, and its further solution based on random search on a set of basic solutions. The proposed method of moving object's control optimization differs from existing ones: it allows to identify a set of local extremums of the objective function, and - as a result - to find the global extremum. Computational experiments confirm high quality of control and good convergence of the algorithm in terms of accuracy. Speaking of limitations, the method requires significant computational resources for its implementation.

In the introduction part the authors show timeliness of the methods study for generation of the human-robot interaction systems on the basis of the extraction of steady-state visual evoked potentials (SSVEP). The main methods of the extraction of steady-state visual evoked potentials in the electroencephalograms (EEG) were observed. This article reflects researches of the EEG signals with steady-state visual evoked potentials for various frequencies of the photostimulation basing on the multivariate synchronization index (MSI). The influence of the number of channels for the analysis on the recognition rate of the signal state under study is considered. The fraction of correctly recognized states is considered as an accuracy metrics. Also, during the research, the authors inspect the influence of the channel selection for signal analysis in the single channel mode. The result of the authors’ research is recommendations on the number of channels used for highlighting of steady-state visual evoked potentials within the multivariate synchronization index method and the list of channels to be used in the single channel mode of the multivariate synchronization index for SSVEP highlighting. The results obtained are of considerable practical importance because they can be used for the brain-machine interface building on the SSVEP basis and can be forth used for development of the control theory of robot systems of various purposes and for implementation of the decisions on human-robot interaction arrangement for narrow practical tasks.

Using the modified Fuchs-Sondheimer model [1,2] in the framework of the two-current model [3–5], the analysis of the effect of giant magnetoresistance in the magnetically ordered sandwich was theoretically performed. The conditions under which either negative or positive giant magnetoresitive effect is observed and their amplitude reachs maximum were determined.

The article describes the main approaches for assessing the robustness of navigation and motion control systems and their capabilities in the synthesis of a robust controller.

The rapidly developing ultra-wideband (UWB) radio technology is very promising for use in infocommunication systems and networks, in particular in wireless, personal (WPAN) and local (WLAN) IoT / IIoT (Internet of Things / Industrial Internet of Things) networks, including and in wearable networks (Wireless Body Area Network, WBAN) for IoMT (Internet of Medical Things). Ensuring high reliability, increasing noise immunity and the degree of information protection from interception in IIoT is due to the use of UWS technology based on ultrashort pulses with a duration of the order of units and fractions of a nanosecond, time pulse modulation and flickering polarization of the emitted signal. The use of UWS technology in a wireless IIoT network provides a number of advantages that cannot be achieved with existing methods. UWS technologies make it possible to provide high speed data transmission, low power consumption of communication facilities, solution of the problem of determining the location of objects with an accuracy of several centimeters, high penetrating power of the radio signal, an almost unlimited number of communication channels and low cost of communication facilities. The aim of the work is to ensure high reliability, noise immunity and the degree of information protection against interception in IIoT critical in speed, reliability and safety under the influence of natural and deliberate electromagnetic interference. The results obtained and the directions for further research are discussed in the conclusions.

The problem of combinatorial optimization in relation to the choice of location of power supplies in solving the problem of development of urban power distribution networks is considered. Two methods have been developed for placing power supplies and securing consumers for them to solve this problem. The first method developed is to place power supplies of the same size, and the second - different sizes. The fundamental difference between the created methods and the existing ones is that the proposed methods take into account all the material of the problem and have specialized ways of coding possible solutions, modified crossing and selection operators. The proposed methods effectively solve the problem of low inheritance, topological impracticability of the found solutions, resulting in significantly reduced execution time and increased accuracy of calculations.

We experimentally investigated the nanoparticles of iron sulfide Fe 3 S 4 , known as the mineral greigite, with the mean crystallite size of ~30 and ~120 nm, which have been prepared via hydrothermal synthesis by using two different surfactants (oleic acid and cetyltrimethylammonium bromide). Their crystallinity and phase purity are probed by X-ray diffraction. For detailed characterization of the ferrimagnetic state and its temperature evolution, the SQUID magnetometry, ferromagnetic resonance is used. Moreover, special attention is given to anomalies that remind the spin re-orientation and Verwey transitions in isostructural iron oxide Fe 3 O 4 , magnetite.

Spectral properties of the bi-periodic planar metamaterial in the frequency range 15–40 GHz were numerically investigated.The studied planar metamaterial consists of a long-period photonic crystal formed in a substrate (PCS) and a short-period photonic crystal formed on a microstrip transmission line (PCMSL). The PCMSL unit cell is formed as a series-connected narrow and wide segments of the microstrip transmission line. The PCS unit cell consists of alternating layers with different permittivity (structured substrate).We have shown that narrow transmission regions arise in the transmission spectrum of the planar bi-periodic metamaterial (PBPMM) due to superposition of the stop bands for PCMSL and PCS. The possibility of tuning the position of the transmission peaks due to changes in the permittivity and the length of individual elements of the structured substrate has been demonstrated numerically Such features allow us to create compact narrow-band frequency filters for several frequencies with an additional number of adjustable parameters.

The problem of the optimization of location of elements in the complex distributed power supply systems is considered in this paper. The article proposes a mathematical model of solving the problem of optimal location of multiple power supply and consumer assigning in the electric supply system. A modified genetic algorithm for solving this problem has been developed based on the methods of evolutionary modeling and genetic programming. The results of experiments showed good performance of the proposed genetic algorithm and the possibility of its application for the optimal placement of power sources in a distributed electrical network.

A promising direction for the development of industrial enterprises is the Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT) technologies introduction. The paper presents the features of such systems organization and assesses the reliability of the functioning of the wired IIoT system. investigation of an important reliability indicator of a reconstructed wired IIoT system was provided, the availability function (AC), were carried out, which showed that it is necessary to increase the reliability of the server and the system power cables. The paper also assesses the dependability of the IIoT wired system using the mathematical apparatus of Markov models in the event of cyberattacks on the IIoT subsystems. A research of this system’s AC showed, that cyberattacks decreases mostly the AC value of IIoT wired system.

The purpose of the article is to substantiate the method of integration of the environmental management system in the enterprise management system. In order to meet the requirements of ISO 7498-2-99, the structure of a multilevel integrated enterprise security management system has been developed. The system provides security management for physical, information, signaling and environmental spaces. An additional environmental management layer was introduced in comparison with the security management system proposed in [12]. The integration of environmental management meets the requirements of IEC 62264-1-2014. This allows us to form inter-layers connections and coordinate the operation of individual subsystems at the physical security, information (cyber) security, functional and ecological security layers. The implementation of this approach enhances enterprise security and environment security as a whole.

The paper is devoted to routing an unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) during the Zaporizhzhia nuclear power plant monitoring without returning to the depot due to the deployment of an automatic battery replacement aerial system in specified places. The monitoring includes the overflight of the 11 monitoring stations to collect radiation monitoring data from them in case of damage of wired networks between the monitoring stations and the crisis centre. The shortest possible UAV route that visits every monitoring station (route point) exactly once and returns to the UAV depot is found by solving the Travelling Salesman Problem. An algorithm for determining the places for deployment of the automatic battery replacement aerial system is presented. A flight schedule both for the UAV and the automatic battery replacement aerial system is developed. The DJI Mavic 2 Enterprise Dual quadcopter is considered as a UAV for monitoring missions. The SL-231 Scout helicopter capable to operate in an unmanned mode is considered as a platform for the automatic battery replacement system.

The article analyzes the process of functioning of physical security systems in the conditions of component failures, cyberattacks and software updates. A zonal model of physical security systems, which includes motion detection and access control subsystems, have been built. Updating the software functions of each zone, attacks on the physical component of the motion detection subsystem, and cyber attacks on the access control system have been investigated. To model software updates, a multi-fragment model, including 9 states of each fragment and program update states has been created. To study the behavior of the model while changing the input parameters, Matlab scripts have been developed. Simulation results allow to evaluate the availability function minimum value, availability function value in stationary mode, time interval for the transition of the availability function to the stationary mode.

Failure modes, effects and criticality analysis (FMECA) is a well-known risk assessment method used to diagnose potential failure modes of a product or system being designed. This method is much based on expert experience and aims to develop improvement strategies so as to reduce the risk of failures. XMECA is a generic extension of this approach that can be applied to analysis not only failures, but other aspects related to safety analysis like intrusions (IMECA) etc. Assumption modes and effect analysis refers to a suggested technique used to minimize risks involved in making assumptions done by expert during performance of XMECA. Possible assessment scenario are described.

The paper focuses on Digital Twin (DT) in Manufacturing using Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Industrial IoT. According to the concept, the manufacturing includes three main units: equipment, personnel and processes. All data from these units are inherited to manufacture model (DT) and decision support system with the use of AI. DT data technology allows finding the required knowledge that can be interpreted and used to support the process of decision-making in the management of the enterprise. AI applications open up a broad spectrum of opportunities in manufacturing to add value by optimizing processes and generating new business models. The Landscape was described by a formal model to assure the possibility to analyze the state and development of landscape in detail considering DT and other technologies. DT and IIoT implementation for the simulation of real enterprise manufacturing were considered.

Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) system is one the most significant cyber-oriented components of management circuit for any complex hierarchical infrastructure. The effectiveness and performance of the SCADA system depends on a number of relevant factors including a possibility to utilize additional cloud resources. Of particular note, the cloud services can apply in order to create concurrent redundant system for implementation of disaster recovery feature of SCADA information resources during different deliberate malicious impacts and intrusions. However, in spite of the fact that usage of the cloud services allow to enhance functionality of SCADA system, there are dependability and cybersecurity aspects for their joint utilization hat keep to remain a serious challenge for service personnel and users. In this paper, authors propose to employ analytical and stochastic modelling in order to get a numerical dependability assessment for SCADA system with realization of the cloud resourcing support considering influence of diverse negative factors. Furthermore, developers can utilize these modelling results in order to perform justification of overall functional requirements of the SCADA system.

In this paper we propose to apply structured argumentation for Assurance Case methodology to continue developing a concept of licensing for Nuclear Power Plants PostAccident Monitoring System (PAMS) based on Unmanned Aircraft Vehicles (UAVs). We obtained the structured argumentation method including the following: the new overall algorithm of the Assurance Case development; the new proposed structure of the Assurance Case graph, which is based on the typical structure of the arguments and is developed in connection with the structured text of the description of these arguments; the improved structured text templates for arguments description. The obtained method can be used as the basis of the appropriated argumentation framework supported with a set of formal operations performed with the Assurance Case graph and supported structural text. The obtained practical and theoretical results may be used for any kinds of safety and security critical systems and applications.

A new combination of phase- and cross-correlation techniques for sea ice tracking from sequential synthetic aperture radar images investigated. An operational Python-based sea ice drift algorithm based on this combination from Sentinel-1 images is proposed.

In this work we present the model for construction of e-trade management system architecture which consists of two basic blocks: the landing Web-pages management unit of the online store is responsible for interacting with the user, receiving orders and collecting primary information and Web-enterprise management unit, responsible for processing orders, their delivery, and all enterprise’s business processes realization. We have focused our attention to developing an architecture model for e-trady management system. A service-oriented architecture (SOA) using enterprise service bus (ESB) concept is offered for architectural implementation. In developed e-trade management system architecture we used the method of integrating complex information systems within the information environment based on SOA and ESB technologies, which represents an independent, integrative subsystem for relatively integrated information systems. Typical information systems that belong to the e-trade system are used as services. These web-based services should be developed and used to enhance ESB efficiency. Such web-services implement SOAP and use WSDL (Web Services Description Language), as well as UDDI specification (Universal Description, Discovery and Integration). At that, each typical information system is simultaneously data supplier and data consumer. Each information system handles its own data class, while being able to both transmit and receive, adjust and modify data according to operational information from other information systems within main business processes.
