Southern Ocean ecosystems are currently experiencing increased environmental changes and anthropogenic pressures, urging scientists to report on their biodiversity and biogeography. One major marine taxonomically diverse and trophically important group that has, however, stayed largely understudied until now is the gelatinous zooplankton, including cnidarians, ctenophores and tunicates. This data scarcity is predominantly due to many of these fragile, soft-bodied organisms being easily fragmented and/or destroyed with traditional net sampling methods. Progress in alternative survey methods including, for instance, optics-based methods is slowly starting to overcome these obstacles. As video annotation by human observers is both time-consuming and financially costly, machine learning techniques should be developed for the analysis of in-situ image-based datasets. This requires taxonomically accurate training sets for correct species identification and the present paper is the first to provide such data.In this study, we twice conducted three week-long in situ optics-based surveys of gelatinous zooplankton found under the ice in the McMurdo Sound, Antarctica. Our study constitutes the first optics-based survey of gelatinous zooplankton in the Ross Sea and the first study to use in situ observations to describe taxonomic, trophic, and behavioral characteristics of gelatinous zooplankton from the Southern Ocean. Despite the small geographic and temporal scales of our study, we provided new undescribed morphological traits for all observed gelatinous zooplankton species (eight cnidarian and four ctenophore species). Three ctenophores and one leptomedusa likely represent undescribed species. Furthermore, along with the photography and videography, we prepared a Common Objects in Context (COCO) dataset, so that this study is the first to provide a taxonomist-ratified image training set for future machine learning algorithm development concerning Southern Ocean gelatinous zooplankton species.

Background: Earth sciences is one of those sensitive field sciences that are closely needed to solve local problems within local physical and social settings. Earth researchers find state-of-the-art of topics in earth sciences by using scientific databases, conduct research on the topics, and write about them. However, the accessibility, readability, and usability of those articles for local communities are major problems in measuring the impact of research, although it may be covered by well-known international scientific databases. Objectives: To ascertain empirically whether there are differences in document distribution, in the proportions of openly accessible documents, and in the geographical coverage of earth sciences topics as revealed through analyses of documents retrieved from scientific databases and to propose new measures for assessing the impact of research in earth sciences based on those differences. Methods: Relevant documents were retrieved using ‘earth sciences’ as a search term in English and other languages from ten databases of scientific publications. The results of these searches were analysed using frequency analysis and a quantitative- descriptive design. Results: (1) The number of articles in English from international databases exceeded the number of articles in native languages from national-level databases. (2) The number of open-access (OA) articles in the national databases was higher than that in other databases. (3) The geographical coverage of earth science papers was uneven between countries when the number of documents retrieved from closed-access commercial databases was compared to that from the other databases. (4) The regulations in Indonesia related to promotion of lecturers assign greater weighting to publications indexed in Scopus and the Web of Science (WoS) and publications in journals with impact factors are assigned a higher weighting. Conclusions: The dominance of scientific articles in English as well as the paucity of OA publications indexed in international databases (compared to those in national or regional databases) may have been due to the greater weighting assigned to such publications. Consequently, the relevance of research reported in those publications to local communities has been questioned. This article suggests some open-science practices to transform the current regulations related to promotion into a more responsible measurement of research performance and impact.

Biodiversity informatics is a new and evolving field, requiring efforts to develop capacity and a curriculum for this field of science. The main objective was to summarise the level of activity and the efforts towards developing biodiversity informatics curricula, for work-based training and/or academic teaching at universities, taking place within the Global Biodiversity Information Facility (GBIF) countries and its associated network. A survey approach was used to identify existing capacities and resources within the network. Most of GBIF Nodes survey respondents (80%) are engaged in onsite training activities, with a focus on work-based professionals, mostly researchers, policy-makers and students. Training topics include data mobilisation, digitisation, management, publishing, analysis and use, to enable the accessibility of analogue and digital biological data that currently reside as scattered datasets. An initial assessment of academic teaching activities highlighted that countries in most regions, to varying degrees, were already engaged in the conceptualisation, development and/or implementation of formal academic programmes in biodiversity informatics, including programmes in Benin, Colombia, Costa Rica, Finland, France, India, Norway, South Africa, Sweden, Taiwan and Togo. Digital e-learning platforms were an important tool to help build capacity in many countries. In terms of the potential in the Nodes network, 60% expressed willingness to be recruited or commissioned for capacity enhancement purposes. Contributions and activities of various country nodes across the network have been highlighted and a working curriculum framework has been defined.

Domestic and captive animals and cultivated plants should be recognised as integral components in contemporary ecosystems. They interact with wild organisms through such mechanisms as hybridization, predation, herbivory, competition and disease transmission and, in many cases, define ecosystem properties. Nevertheless, it is widespread practice for data on domestic, captive and cultivated organisms to be excluded from biodiversity repositories, such as natural history collections. Furthermore, there is a lack of integration of data collected about biodiversity in disciplines, such as agriculture, veterinary science, epidemiology and invasion science. Discipline-specific data are often intentionally excluded from integrative databases in order to maintain the “purity” of data on natural processes. Rather than being beneficial, we argue that this practise of data exclusivity greatly limits the utility of discipline-specific data for applications ranging from agricultural pest management to invasion biology, infectious disease prevention and community ecology. This problem can be resolved by data providers using standards to indicate whether the observed organism is of wild or domestic origin and by integrating their data with other biodiversity data (e.g. in the Global Biodiversity Information Facility). Doing so will enable efforts to integrate the full panorama of biodiversity knowledge across related disciplines to tackle pressing societal questions.

Security assurance is a discipline aiming to demonstrate that a target system holds some non/functional properties and behaves as expected. These techniques have been recently applied to the cloud, facing some critical issues especially when integrated within existing security processes and executed in a programmatic way. Furthermore, they pose significant costs when hybrid systems, mixing public and private infrastructures, are considered. In this paper, we a present an assurance framework that implements an assurance process evaluating the trustworthiness of hybrid systems. The framework builds on a standard API/based interface supporting full and programmatic access to the functionalities of the framework. The process provides a transparent, non-invasive and automatic solution that does not interfere with the working of the target system. It builds on a Virtual Private Network (VPN)/based solution, to provide a smooth integration with target systems, in particular those mixing public and private clouds and corporate networks. A detailed walkthrough of the process along with a performance evaluation of the framework in a simulated scenario are presented.

In this paper we describe a cyberattack against 2 well-known wearable devices. The attacker presented in this paper is an “honest but curious” Internet Service Provider (ISP) sitting somewhere in the path between the device and the cloud. The ISP launches the attack when the smartbands try to synchronize their data with the permanent cloud storage. By launching its attack, this “honest but curious” ISP is able to learn much personal information about the users of the smartbands, including the frequency of measuring the users’ heart rate and weight; the number and duration of workouts; as well as whether (i) sleep or (ii) steps were recorded on a given day. We show that privacy leaks might occur even when the transferred data are fully encrypted, and the representative mobile application utilizes state-of-the-art security mechanisms: certificate pinning, and source code obfuscation.

A typical diesel engine port is of complicated geometry . This paper addresses the experimental studies of intake port of a four cylinder diesel engine for different vacuum pressures and valve lift positions. In this study the cylinder head is experimented through a paddle wheel flow setup which gives the flow coefficient and swirl number as output. The main scope of the work is to understand the flow behaviour through the intake port and finally to determine mean flow coefficient and mean swirl number for different valve lift ratios L/D, where L is valve lift and D is bore diameter. This paper also addresses the geometry acquisition and grid generation for three dimensional Computational Fluid Analysis for flow filed computation and obtain a calibrated CFD code for future design once the code is validated with experimental results

In this paper to support concept of component based system a domain is chosen that covers the GIS systems. GIS (Geographic Information Systems) are commonly used for development of map based applications these systems are widely used across the web and in various organizations. With the development and deepening of GIS, traditional GIS systems showed the challenges on isolation, sealing, interoperability and the limitations, thereby hindering further development and application of GIS technology. In this paper framework for component based GIS system is proposed. This framework is having rich graphical interface and user data can be easily retrieved from the connected database and displayed in the browser.

Volatility Forecasting is an interesting challenging topic in current financial instruments as it is directly associated with profits. There are many risks and rewards directly associated with volatility. Hence forecasting volatility becomes most dispensable topic in finance. The GARCH distributions play an important role in the risk measurement and option pricing. The min motive of this paper is to measure the performance of GARCH techniques for forecasting volatility by using different distribution model. We have used 9 variations in distribution models that are used to forecast the volatility of a stock entity. The different GARCH distribution models observed in this paper are Std, Norm, SNorm, GED, SSTD, SGED, NIG, GHYP and JSU. Volatility is forecasted for 10 days in advance and values are compared with the actual values to find out the best distribution model for volatility forecast. From the results obtain it has been observed that GARCH with GED distribution models has outperformed all models

An increasing demand of secure data transmission over internet leads to the challenge of implementing a consistent cryptosystem. In 2004, USA navy published the patent which highlights the importance of fractal as an encryption/decryption key in a cryptosystem [1]. Fractal possess butterfly effect i.e. sensitivity to initial condition, due to which small change in input produces a major change in output. This paper summarizes the various recent image encryption techniques in which fractal key is used to encrypt/decrypt followed by substitution, scrambling and diffusion techniques to provide strong cryptosystem. The algorithms covered both private key encryption as well as public key encryption technique in the paper. The analysed algorithms include a set of fractal function such as Mandelbrot set, Julia set, Hilbert curve, 3D fractal, multi-fractal, IFS and chaotic function to generate a complex key used in the encryption process. Corresponding performance of each algorithm is analysed by PSNR test, key space, sensitivity analysis and correlation coefficient value between the adjacent pixels of both images (Original image and encrypted image) which shows significant improvement in performance over the traditional encryption methods.

Aquaculture is the farming of aquatic organisms in natural, controlled marine and freshwater environments. The real-time monitoring of aquatic environmental parameters is very important in fish farming. Internet of things (IoT) can play a vital role in the real-time monitoring. This paper presents an IoT framework for the efficient monitoring and effective control of different aquatic environmental parameters related to the water. The proposed system is implemented as an embedded system using sensors and an Arduino. Different sensors including pH, temperature, and turbidity, ultrasonic are placed in cultivating pond water and each of them is connected to a common microcontroller board built on an Arduino Uno. The sensors read the data from the water and store it as a comma-separated values (CSV) file in an IoT cloud named ThingSpeak through the Arduino microcontroller. To validate the experiment, we collected data from 5 ponds of various sizes and environments. After experimental evaluation, it was observed among 5 ponds, only three ponds were perfect for fish farming, where these 3 ponds only satisfied the standard reference values of pH (6.5-8.5), temperature (16-24 °C), turbidity (below 10 ntu), conductivity (970-1825 μS/cm), and depth (1-4) meter. At the end of this paper, a complete hardware implementation of this proposed IoT framework for a real-time aquatic environment monitoring system is presented.

The information security is one of the most important issues in the design of any communication network.One of the most common encryption algorithms is the Advanced Encryption Standard (AES).The main problem facing the AES algorithm is the high time consumption due to the large number of rounds used for performing the encryption operation. The more time the encryption system consumes to encrypt the data, the more chances the hackers have to break the system.This paper presents two effective algorithms that can be used to solve the mentioned problem and to achieve an effective processing time reduction using pipelined and parallel techniques to perform the encryption steps. These algorithms are based on using certain techniques to make the system able to encrypt many different states (the data will be encrypted) in the same time with no necessity to wait for the previous encryption operation to be completed. These two algorithms are very effective especially for big data size. This paper describes in detail the AES encryption system algorithm and a detailed explanation for the proposed algorithms. Moreover, the research shows the implementation of the three algorithms: the traditional, the pipelined, and the parallel algorithms, and finally a comparison between them.

A data warehouse integrates data from various and heterogeneous data sources and creates a consolidated view of the data that is optimized for reporting and analysis. Today, business and technology are constantly evolving, which directly affects the data sources. New data sources can emerge while some can become unavailable. The DW or the data mart that is based on these data sources needs to reflect these changes. Various solutions to adapt a data warehouse after the changes in the data sources and the business requirements have been proposed in the literature [1]. However, research in the problem of DW evolution has focused mainly on managing changes in the dimensional model while other aspects related to the ETL, and maintaining the history of changes has not been addressed. The paper presents a Meta Data vault model that includes a data vault based data warehouse and a master data management. A major area of focus in this research is to keep both history of changes and a “single version of the truth,” through an MDM, integrated with the DW. The paper also outlines the load patterns used to load data into the data warehouse and materialized views to deliver data to end-users. This paper analytically reviews the performance of massive multiple input multiple output (MIMO) system for communication in highly mobility scenarios like high speed Railways. As popularity of high speed train increasing day by day, high data rate wireless communication system for high speed train is extremely required. 5G wireless communication systems must be designed to meet the requirement of high speed broadband services at speed of around 500 km/h, which is the expected speed achievable by HSR systems, at a data rate of 180 Mbps or higher. Significant challenges of high mobility communications are fast time-varying fading, channel estimation errors, doppler diversity, carrier frequency offset, inter carrier interference, high penetration loss and fast and frequent handovers. Therefore, crucial requirement to design high mobility communication channel models or systems prevails. Recently, massive MIMO techniques have been proposed to significantly improve the performance of wireless networks for upcoming 5G technology. Massive MIMO provide high throughput and high energy efficiency in wireless communication channel. In this paper, key findings, challenges and requirements to provide high speed wireless communication onboard the high speed train is pointed out after thorough literature review. In last, future research scope to bridge the research gap by designing efficient channel model by using massive MIMO and other optimization method is mentioned.

Peat fires cause major environmental problems in Central Kalimantan Province, Indonesia and threaten human health and effect the social-economic sector. The lack of peat fire detection systems is one factor that causing these reoccurring fires. Therefore, in this study, we develop an Android mobile platform application and a web-based application to support the citizen-volunteers who want to contribute wildfires reports, and the decision-makers who wish to collect, visualize, and evaluate these wildfires reports. In this paper, the global navigation satellite system (GNSS) and a global position system (GPS) sensor from a smartphone’s camera, is a useful tool to show the potential fire and smoke’s close-range location. The exchangeable image (EXIF) file image and GPS metadata captured by a mobile phone can store and supply raw observation to our devices and sent it to the data center through global internet communication. This work’s results are the proposed application easy-to-use to monitoring potential peat fire by location and data activity. This paper focuses on developing an application for the mobile platform for peat fire reporting and a web-based application to collect peat fire location for decision-makers. Our main objective is to detect the potential and spread of fire in peatlands as early as possible by utilizing community reports using smartphones.

The spread and pandemic of coronavirus disease (COVID-19) that is currently happening in the world, has led to new policy steps in the security of public spaces to reduce the transmission of COVID-19 and protect public health. There is new adaptation in the policies while using space like limiting the use of public spaces, increasing social distancing between people or creating territory. Territory means specific area where are claimed or maintained (can be physically, through ruler or symbols). Territory can give a sense of security to the users. Therefore, this paper give insight and rethinking the territory concept as sense of security in interior public space and built environment where people expect to see strangers in this space. The methods in this paper are literature review method by collecting and synthesizing previous research using integrative approach. For the result is territory concept achieved as part of protection to the users in the build environment with mechanisms that should be applied in each type: the boundary between areas; limitation to the symbolic; supervision and control of space.

EMR data is huge and NLP can successfully process and prioritize them in different dimensions. In that direction, the same concept and technology can be applied to Software Engineering also and Requirements can be prioritized. Originality: This literature review study is carried out using secondary data which is collected through various online sources. The information thus gathered will be used in the future to build upon existing theory and framework or build a new methodology. Purpose: The Modbus is the trusted name in the industrial automation communication domain. It is a pretty simple protocol to implement and so very popular to the industrial communication personnel. Nowadays, Some industrial robots are also capable of communicating through Modbus. So our robot researchers frequently face the challenge of communicating with Modbus-enabled devices or robots. They need to know the protocol in detail before integrating it into their project. Its learning curves are a bit higher because of the lack of document which is practical oriented. The protocol selection, packet structure, CRC, or LRC calculation need to maintain precisely as standards; otherwise, the Modbus exception may happen. We experience those scenarios. Through our practical experience, we learned what is required for a new researcher who wants to implement Modbus in their project. In this paper, we demonstrate the Modbus packet structure and implement it with several practical examples. Finally, to test the written code, we provide simple tools which are easy to use and customizable. The researcher can easily integrate into their research project. The complete project source code is available in Github. Design/Methodology/Approach: The Modbus is the standard protocol to communicate between or among the devices. We need a better understanding of it and interface software to test around all aspects. Here we described some practical examples. The GUI is created using C# language inside the Microsoft Visual Studio. The application has several capabilities. In the TCP/IP mode, It can be a server or client. In RTU mode, it can play as a Master or slave device. We can also run two instances in a single system. To communicate between two running apps in RTU mode, we need virtual loopback software, two physical comm port, or two USB to Serial modules. For Modbus TCP mode, we can test within the system using the localhost address (127.0.0.1) or need an IP address for a different. Findings/results: The robot researcher can find helpful information about communicating the robot through the Modbus protocol. The practical example can help them to create packet purser. The functional CRC algorithm code can be used for better understanding and implementation into their project. Originality/Value: This work has some different features than other available utilities. We added features based on our research needs. Our created application is a little bit different from a professional approach. Various display formats are available in our GUI. That makes a difference in the originality of this work. Our GUI can be master, slave, server, or client, which is rarely available. Paper Type: Experimental-based Research.

Objective: In this paper, we analyze Nestle India's influence on customers during the COVID-19 pandemic, and to know the company's CSR activities. This paper also analyses the FMCG industry evolution in the country. Design/Methodology/Approach This study was undertaken using secondary sources, such as journals and conference articles, annual reports, websites of Nestle Company, the internet, scholarlyarticles, andsocial media reviews. ASWOT analysis assessment was made on the company. It is an explorative research case study that aims at identifying the growth of Nestle India Limited-A FMCG industry in the Indian economy. Findings/Results: During the COVID-19 pandemic, the company gained growth. Net income for Nestle India in 2020 is more than 20 billion Indian rupees compared to 19 billion rupees in the year before. Findings/Result: Digital transformation and how it impacts insurance company in terms of its operational efficiency, service deliveries and customer experience are discussed. Purpose: The banking industry in the service industry sector in India contributes to the economy of the country by mobilizing the deposits and providing credits to other industries, industry sectors, and individuals. As per new government policy, private banks mandatorily and public banks are voluntarily required to contribute to corporate social responsibility fund of 2% of the profit on social service activities to address a variety of societal needs. It is interesting to know how Indian banks have utilized CSR funds by means of smart decision-making. It is interesting to compare the CSR activities of some selected public and private sector banks in India, to know their smart strategies for improving the organizational business benefits. Design/Methodology: This study identifies and analyses various social responsibility programs organized by selected banking organizations of India. The data and information used are obtained from websites of chosen banks, bank literature from different websites, banks statements, and related case studies. Findings: The government has declared that companies earning a profit of 500 crores or more should establish a CSR team that should contain three or more executives and one independent administrator to develop CSR guidelines and to handle the CSR activities. Based on the comparison of CSR activities between private and public sector banks, it is found that the CSR activities offered by private sector banks focused on directly supporting their customer services and CSR activities offered by public banks are indirectly supported their brand-building activities so that these two types of banks could get benefit in terms of customer satisfaction and promotion of their services to weaker sections of the society, respectively. Originality/Value: This research paper analyzes the role played by private and public banks in the effective implementation of their corporate social responsibilities by segregating the CSR activities into inbound and outbound activities. Modern-day, global, and clever array systems have several distinguished approaches with regard to a wireless device. In this paper, a comparative analysis has been carried out amongst nine direction of arrival (DOA) algorithms: Capon, multiple signal classification (MUSIC), Bartlett, Pisarenko, linear prediction, maximum entropies, and min-norm, root-MUSIC, and estimation of signal parameters via rotational invariance technique (ESPRIT). in this paper reduces the number of antennas and snaps necessary to observe six target swithout interference for several DOA estimation methods. After comparing and analyzing all the algorithms, it has been shown that the music algorithm is the best algorithm that reduces interference and detects the desired sources. MATLAB R2019b was used in the simulation process.

Information technology fields are now more dominated by artificial intelligence, as it is playing a key role in terms of providing better services. The inherent strengths of artificial intelligence are driving the companies into a modern, decisive, secure, and insight-driven arena to address the current and future challenges. The key technologies like cloud, internet of things (IoT), and software-defined networking (SDN) are emerging as future applications and rendering benefits to the society. Integrating artificial intelligence with these innovations with scalability brings beneficiaries to the next level of efficiency. Data generated from the heterogeneous devices are received, exchanged, stored, managed, and analyzed to automate and improve the performance of the overall system and be more reliable. Although these new technologies are not free of their limitations, nevertheless, the synthesis of technologies has been challenged and has put forth many challenges in terms of scalability and reliability. Therefore, this paper discusses the role of artificial intelligence (AI) along with issues and opportunities confronting all communities for incorporating the integration of these technologies in terms of reliability and scalability. This paper puts forward the future directions related to scalability and reliability concerns during the integration of the above-mentioned technologies and enable the researchers to address the current research gaps.

Predicting stock price fluctuation during critical events remains a big challenge for many researchers because the stock market is extremely vulnerable and sensitive during such time. Most existing works rely on various numerical data of related factors which can impact the stock price direction. However, very few research papers analyzed the effect of information appearing in financial news articles. In this paper, a novel probabilistic lexicon based stock market prediction (PLSP) algorithm is proposed to predict the direction of stock price movement. Our approach used the proposed thai financial probabilistic lexicon (ThaiFinLex) derived from Thai financial news and stock market historical prices. The PLSP development consists of three steps. Firstly, we constructed ThaiFinLex by extracting event terms from news articles and calculating their associated probability of increasing/decreasing values of stock prices. Then, event terms with bad prediction performance were filtered out. Finally, the stock price directions were predicted using the PLSP and the remaining effective event terms. Our results indicated that the proposed model can be used for predicting stock price movement. The performance is as high as 83.33% when PLSP is used to predict stocks from the financial sector.

Real-time embedded systems that combine processes of various criticalities (i.e. mixed-criticality real-time systems) represent an emerging research that faces many issues. This paper describes a new ASIC design of a coprocessor that realizes process scheduling for mixed-criticality real-time systems. The solution proposed in this paper uses Robust Earliest Deadline (RED) algorithm. Due to the on-chip implementation of the scheduler, all scheduler operations always take two clock cycles to execute. The proposed solution was verified by simulations that applied millions of random inputs. Chip area costs are evaluated by synthesis into ASIC using 28 nm TSMC technology. The proposed RED-based scheduler is compared with an existing EDF-based scheduler that supports hard real-time processes only. Even though the RED-based scheduler costs more chip area, it can handle any combinations of process criticalities, variations of process execution times and deadlines, achieves higher CPU utilization and can be used for scheduling of non-real-time, soft real-time and hard real-time processes combined within one system.

It’s easily accessible, most socially accepted and usually not associated with potential harm it can do. Except for its addictive effect, it has a strong influence on humane systems. In this analysis the influence of alcohol on the cardiovascular system will be examined. As it is not obvious whether alcohol usage should be only associated with harmful impact on cardiac activity, different types of alcoholic beverages should be examined. In this work three different sub-groups will be analyzed. They were selected and divided by the beverage type and percentage as follows: beer, wine, high percentage liquors. As the majority of studies show, it’s important to underline the significance of not only the alcohol percentage implied, but mostly of the alcohol type. In favor of alcoholic beverages are only studies analyzing beverages containing low levels of alcohol, but abundant in other organic substances like resveratrol (in wine). Other studies considering other beverages, nonetheless of alcohol levels, diminishing effect on the cardiovascular (and other) systems is observed. Material and methods: An analysis of scientific papers from Pubmed Google Scholar was performed, wchoch most accurately described the issue of diffrent type of alcohol bevereage on human health. The following keywords were used in search: alcohol, cardiovascular, wine, beer, spirits. Purpose of the work: Aim of the following analysis is to systematize the knowledge based on latest research and findings about the impact of different alcohol beverages on cardiovascular system. Overcoming obstacles to prosthetic fittings requires frequent tryouts of sockets and components. Repetitions of interventions are upsetting for users and place substantial economic burden on healthcare systems. Encouraging prosthetic care innovations capable of alleviating clinical and financial shortcomings of socket-based solutions is essential. Nonetheless, evidence of socio-economic benefits of an innovation are required to facilitate access to markets. Unfortunately, complex decisions must be made when allocating resources toward the most relevant health economic evaluation (HEE) at a given stage of development of an innovation. This paper first, aimed to show the importance and challenges of HEEs of intervention facilitating prosthetic fittings. Next, the main trends in HEEs at various phases of product development and clinical acceptance of prosthetic care innovations were outlined. Then, opportunities for a basic framework of a preliminary cost-utility analysis (CUA) during the mid-stage of development of prosthetic care innovations were highlighted. To do this, fundamental and applied health economic literature and prosthetic-specific publications were reviewed to extract and analyse the trends in HEEs of new medical and prosthetic technologies, respectively. The findings show there is consensus around the weaknesses of full CUAs (e.g., lack of timeliness, resource-intensive) and strengths of preliminary CUAs (e.g., identify evidence gaps, educate design of full CUA, fast-track approval). However, several obstacles must be overcome before preliminary CUA of prosthetic care innovations will be routinely carried out. Disparities of methods and constructs of usual preliminary CUA are barriers that could be alleviated by a more standardized framework. The paper concludes by identifying that there are opportunities for the development of a basic framework of preliminary CUA of prosthetic care innovations. Ultimately, the collaborative design of a framework could simplify selection of the methods, standardise outcomes, ease comparisons between innovations and streamline pathways for adoption. This might facilitate access to economical solutions that could improve the life of individuals suffering from limb loss. Radiological procedures are playing essential role in present diagnostic of pituitary gland. Pituitary tumours can now be visualized more accurately due to continued improvements in magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) techniques with gadolinium enhancement. Aim of the study: This article summarizes the current knowledge about radiological imaging of pituitary gland and in particular MRI scan procedures. In this paper we also want to show how the imaging of the pituitary gland looked like in the past and nowadays. Description of knowledge: Diagnostic procedures play primary role in present diagnosis and treatment of pituitary gland and sella turcica tumours. It is crucial for further diagnostic procedures to locate the tumour its size and margins. Currently magnetic resonance imaging is the more important examination just after the laboratory results. That modality easily shows exact location and tumours smaller than 1 cm. Radiological differentiation of lessions wouldn’t be possible without contrast agents. The latest MRI study protocols involve dynamic and delayed sequences for better visualisation and differential diagnostic. Conclusions: During the years radiological techniques evolved and gave us the perfect tool to visualize the pituitary gland and its pathologies. Purpose: The purpose of this paper is to study the awareness level and utilization of various cooperative banking services in rural area especially Dakshina Kannada district of Karnataka. In India, most of the states are agriculture dominated, especially in rural area, cooperative banks play a key role in bolstering the common individual and financing his self -employment/business and personal needs. The awareness and effective utilization of various rural banking services will improve the financial inclusion statistics of the country. To assess the awareness level, 27 services and schemes offered by the cooperative society are taken and classified into different factors. The awareness levels of rural Muslims are compared with different demographical profile to know the difference. Methodology: Data was collected through a structured questionnaire and distributed among rural Muslims cooperative bank account holders. The study is descriptive in nature and data was collected from 398 rural Muslims of five taluks of Dakshina Kannada district. To draw meaningful inferences, scales for reliability, normality assumption, Mann Whitney U and Kruskal-Wallis test were used to analyze, compare and interpret the data. Findings: The results indicate that there are no significant differences among the economic status, income and sub-caste regarding awareness of cooperative banking services and schemes. However, there is a significant difference among the age, residence and occupation regarding awareness of cooperative banking services and schemes. Originality: It may help the service provider to implement services and schemes according to the needs and profile of the rural households in the rural area, in order to have effective utilization of services and to raise the standard of living. Practical Implication: The findings of the study will help the various stakeholders to overcome the problem of financial inclusion especially in rural areas and help to provide need-based financial service to the rural households in the country. In the CA3ViAR (Composite fan Aerodynamic, Aeroelastic, and Aeroacoustic Validation Rig) project, a composite low-transonic fan is designed and tested. The aim is a scaled ultra-high bypass ratio (UHBR) fan with state-of-the-art aerodynamic performance and composite rotor blades, which features aeroelastic phenomena, e.g. forced response by inlet distortions and flutter, under certain operating points within the wind tunnel. In this paper, the aerodynamic and aeroelastic design process starting from the overall performance specifications to a threedimensional numerical model is described. A target of eigen-frequency and twist-to-plunge ratio is specified such that flutter occurs at desired operating conditions with a sufficient margin with respect to the working line. Different materials and layups of the composite blade are analyzed to reach the structural target. The fan should serve as an open test case to advance the future research on aerodynamic, aeroelastic, and aeroacoustic performance investigations in a wide range of operating conditions. A preliminary fan stage design is presented in this paper.

Purpose: Corporate social responsibility is becoming a necessary component of doing business. India is the first country to establish a minimum wage for CSR initiatives aimed at improving the future. The Indian government has implemented new CSR criteria that require businesses to invest 2% of their net profit in such projects. CSR enables businesses to contribute to the betterment of society, the environment, and nature to achieve this goal. NGO's play an important role because they manage various financial assistance programs and assist businesses in achieving various goals. This study is mainly focused to know the contribution of CSR made the business organization towardinclusive growth and the reasons beyond the implementation on CSR by business organization. Methodology: Business organisations' contributions to inclusive growth through corporate social responsibility are examined in this study, as are the reasons for CSR's adoption by businesses. A case study is used to examine the role of non-profit organisations in the implementation of CSR activities. This study focuses on the role of non-governmental organisations in implementing CSR activities that benefit society by creating a systematic framework. Findings: The paper finds that majority of the organizations are conscious of the concept of Corporate Responsibility, which means most of the organizations they are responsible for society. Practical Implications: This study implies that CSR is based on the profit and need of society.Building strong public-private partnerships and working closely with non-governmental organizations (NGOs) as implementation partners is accomplished through company’s collaborative methods by organizations and various NGOs at the ground level are needed to develop which is beyond micro-credit to increase women's endowments and improve their trade outcomes vis-à-vis the family markets state and community. Originality/Value: These findings have been made based on available secondary data and have identified the role played by non-governmental organisations in the implementation of CSR activities, as well as how their priorities and focus shifted towards developing society. The specific demands of supply chains built upon large and complex IoT systems, make it a must to design a coordinated framework for cyber resilience provisioning, intended to guarantee trusted supply chains of ICT systems, built upon distributed, dynamic, potentially insecure, and heterogeneous ICT infrastructures. As such, the solution proposed in this paper is envisioned to deal with the whole supply chain system components, from the IoT ecosystem to the infrastructure connecting them, addressing security and privacy functionalities related to risks and vulnerabilities management, accountability, and mitigation strategies, as well as security metrics and evidence-based security assurance. In this paper, we present FISHY as a preliminary architecture that is designed to orchestrate existing and beyond state-of-the-art security appliances in composed ICT scenarios. To this end, the FISHY architecture leverages the capabilities of programmable networks and IT infrastructure through seamless orchestration and instantiation of novel security services, both in real-time and proactively. Background/Purpose: Mobile phone industry is a booming industry in the market in the present times. This industry is growing tremendously not only in urban areas but also in villages. For communication and other various purposes people use Mobile phones. Hence the usage of mobile is much more that before ten years. In urban areas there are many resources available for charging but in rural areas most of the time charging facilities are unavailable and load shedding causes a lot of problems. Sometimes the battery becomes low during conversations or even an important transaction, and an urgent charging becomes necessary. Objective: The major objective of this work is by inserting a coin in public places, one can charge the mobile phone. It will be helpful for the people who are suing mobile phones outside their homes/offices, need to use the coin based mobile phone charger to charge the mobile. To transmit and receive the IR (Infrared) signal, an IR transmitter and IR receiver will be used at the receiving end. A coin needs to be inserted between IR transmitter and receiver, which will change the polarity of the pulses in Signal Conditioning Unit (SCU) input. To activate the 230V charger, the relay will be ON and then the charger is used to charge the mobile phone. Design/Methodology/Approach: Coin-based Mobile charger using solar tracker designed to provide a completely different service to people staying in rural areas. For controlling applications, 8051 microcontroller-based circuits used for programming. Power grid is the used for charging and the energy obtained from the sun is used when grid power is not available. MATLAB is utilized for coding to find the edge of the coin comparing it to the image clicked by the camera and to avoid coin duplication Findings/Results: A simple and effective mobile charger has been implemented, which allow users to charge their phones in an emergency in public areas. This device uses very few components with a microcontroller 8051-based circuit. Usage of stepper motors allows accurate sun tracking. After reviewing the data, it was discovered that it is possible to capture good volume of sun energy when compared with fixed panel system. This method is more efficient, less costly and easier to use. Conclusion: This work uses solar power as solar energy and generates more energy for free of cost. This system also uses external grid power in the absence of solar energy which will be helpful in the rural areas since villages face load shedding most of the time. The currently ongoing COVID-19 crisis has challenged healthcare around the world. The call for global solutions in international healthcare pandemic outbreak monitoring and crisis risk management has reached unprecedented momentum. The novel coronavirus SARS-CoV-2 imposes the most unexpected external economic shock to modern humankind, triggering abrupt consumption and behavior pattern shifts around the world with widespread socio-economic impacts. In order to alleviate unexpected negative fallouts from the crisis, governments around the world have incepted the largest ever amount of strategic economic bailout rescue and recovery packages that particularly focus on economic and social targets. The potential focus of bailouts and recovery ranges from urban-local and national to even global and future-oriented beneficiaries, as pursued in public investments on climate stabilization in the United States Green New Deal or the European Green Deal Sustainable Finance Taxonomy. Large-scale and future-oriented governmental investments are valuable macroeconomic multipliers that can benefit society as a whole in the short run and long term. Economic multipliers trickle down positively in society since governmental spending incepting projects leads to increased salaries, opportunities to support a family and employ other people in the consumption of goods and services, to name a few economic multiplying growth opportunities in the wake of governmental spending. This paper proposes the idea that multiplier effects may vary based on the causes that receive governmental funding. Evidence of country differences in multiplier effectiveness already exist. Multipliers also appear to trickle down in society with a certain time lag. Lastly, multiplier effects can also be negative if the government chooses to cut spending during austerity measures. The discussion proposes potential future hypothesis testing opportunities for investigating healthcare dependent multipliers. Given the enormous amount of governmental COVID rescue and recovery aid in the aftermath of the COVID-19 crisis and the blatant importance of health in the eye of the pandemic, the time has come to investigate if there is a certain effect of governmental spending on healthcare that influences the multiplier. In order to understand a potential multiplier effect of governmental spending on healthcare, a healthcare dependent multiplier effect could test if healthcare related governmental spending leads to a higher or lower than 1.6 multiplying factor. If a relation between multiplier effects and healthcare exists, a future step would be to investigate if it also holds or varies for particular governmental investment in prevention and preventive healthcare. If there are effects for governmental spending on healthcare, well-being and social welfare are potential moderators of the effect. In the 21st century, healthcare is directly related to digitalization and technological advancement, which could be other moderators to control for. Lastly, corruption has been found to be negatively related to quality healthcare and may also be accounted for in future healthcare related multiplier investigations. The decentralization of Social Media applications has gained importance in the last years. In this direction, the HELIOS project has been proposed in order to provide a decentralized platform for social applications. Among these several social applications, the Journalism field is considered an important use case. The main problem which needs to be addressed is preventing the spread of fake news and ensuring the authenticity of the literature for end readers. Furthermore, with the rise of Citizen Journalism, the way of how people can participate to share information is changed. In this paper, we present the HELIOS Citizen Journalism App (CJ) developed in the context of the HELIOS project. The CJ App allows users to contribute content anonymously, based on blockchain technology. After publishing the content via the app, the content is available to publishers for further distribution, on a decentralized P2P and IPFS-based network storage. Furthermore, by making a donation for particular content, the CJ also receives remuneration. In this paper, we show the architecture of the App by describing its components and how it works.

This paper presents a novel framework for the identification of different consumption patterns of heating loads of buildings. The approach to analyzing the consumption data is carried out by a combination of unsupervised clustering models. Density based clustering is used for outlier detection in the original dataset and K-means for pattern recognition. The proposed framework is then applied to a real building connected to the district heating in Tartu (Estonia). Three main day-types are identified for the building as an outcome of the clustering process, with different patterns throughout these days. More than 60% of the analyzed Cluster Validation Indexes studied in this paper show that classifying the daily demand profiles in three clusters is the optimal classification.

Physical activity, lifestyle and nutrition as important indicators in the body mass index of children aged 3-6 years in the municipality of Mitrovica Lorik Ramaj, Sadete Hasani Faculty of Physical Culture and Sports, AAB College, Prishtina, Kosovo Abstract The purpose of this paper was to determine the level of physical activity and healthy nutrition in children aged 3-6 years from Mitrovica. The research was attended by 94 children aged 3 - 6 years from two kindergartens in Mitrovica. As a parameter that measured the weight and height of the children, it was calculated with the standardized procedure of Body Mass Index (BMI) then was calculated according to the standard formula used by (Betterhealth, 2016). Also, after extracting other information through the questionnaire, a quantitative research was conducted through the parents of 94 children who were part of the measurements. A questionnaire was used to collect the data, which was previously translated and adapted into Albanian with permission to use it. The questionnaire was combined by three different questionnaires such as: the lifestyle questionnaire (Wilson et al., 2008), the physical activity questionnaire Pre-PAQ test (Dwyer et al., 2011) and the nutrition questionnaire (Rysha et al., 2017). The data collected during the research were placed in the statistical program SPSS version 21.0, and the presentation of this data was done through a descriptive analysis. The results that came from this research showed that the effect of physical activity, lifestyle and nutrition have quite a high impact on body mass index in children. From the results we saw that the children of the two kindergartens from the municipality of Mitrovica did quite well in terms of physical activity, where in the questionnaires that were answered 89.4% of children were active more than an hour a day by walking and doing other activities. Also, the results regarding the questions in which they were asked about the time that children use the phone were at a satisfactory level, where a large percentage of parents, 77.7%, declared that their children did not use the phone more than an hour a day. While in terms of nutrition, there have been many results which need more detailed analysis and to take preventive measures such as consumption of energy drinks, carbonated beverages, fast food, etc.From the measurement of children aged 3-4 years only one child turned out to be overweight with BMI = 18.7, while the rest came out with BMI with normal limits. As for children aged 4-5 years, one child turned out to be underweight with BMI = 12.4 and one obese with BMI = 21.9 and the others with BMI with normal limits. And out of children aged 5-6 years one child came out overweight with BMI = 17.7 and two others obese, one with BMI = 19.7 and the other BMI = 19.8 and the other children had normal weight (Betterhealth, 2016). This paper describes the steps taken to model a valency lexicon for Latin (Latin Vallex) according to the principles of the Linked Data paradigm, and to interlink its valency frames with the lexical senses recorded in a manually checked subset of the Latin WordNet. The valency lexicon and the WordNet share lexical entries and are part of the LiLa Knowledge Base, which interlinks multiple linguistic resources for Latin. After describing the overall architecture of LiLa, as well as the structure of the lexical entries of Latin Vallex and Latin WordNet, the paper focuses on how valency frames have been modeled in LiLa, in line with a submodule of the Predicate Model for Ontologies (PreMOn) specifically created for the representation of grammatical valency. A mapping of the valency frames and the WordNet synsets assigned to the lexical entries shared by the two resources is detailed, as well as a number of queries that can be run across the interoperable resources for Latin currently included in LiLa.

Entrepreneurship among women improves the wealth of their families and the nation as well. Some women have managed to break the proverbial glass ceiling against the odd and have established their businesses successfully in food processing sector. Women are more inclined for food processing enterprises since they spend most of their time in the kitchen normally. Many women have the expertise in preparing new cuisines, so they start small and grow further to become a much-acclaimed food processing entrepreneurs. The food processing industry in India has great potential and it brings about the synergy between the consumer, industry and agriculture. Therefore, there is a need to inspire, encourage, motivate and co-operate with women entrepreneurs for developing the spirit of enterprise among every segment of the society. The purpose of the paper is to highlight the success story of Mrs. Bector in the food processing sector and the challenges faced by her. This study proved that Mrs. Bectors Food Specialties Ltd. owned by Mrs. Bector, based at Punjab has enough growth opportunities but to sustain itself in the market, the company has to pursue more competitive strategies to widen the operations and customer base. Design: For the purpose of analysis, this study used secondary data sources - open access journals, Google, Google scholar and Mrs. Bectors Food Specialties Ltd. websites. Furthermore, the literature is used to analyze the position of this company within SWOC framework and Michael Porter’s Five Forces analysis. Findings: Based on the analysis, it is suggested that Mrs. Bectors Food Specialties Ltd. has to expand its business beyond northern India and initiate campaign for its brand awareness. The study concludes that Mrs. Bectors Food Specialties Ltd.’s competitive pricing strategy is clearly defined to capture the market, but more proper execution of strategies is required to thrive in a competitive climate. Value: This paper focuses on the growth of Mrs. Bector Food Specialties Ltd. in terms of its current status and future opportunities. Recurring infections can be a consequence of the lack of treatment, inappropriate therapy or accompanying diseases. It is possible that an impaired condition of immunity leads to recurring infections. In this review a great deal of attention has been given to the mechanisms and the various stages of viral infection, and the onset of an organism’s defense mechanisms against viruses. The function of the immunomodulatory and immunostimulatory medical product, namely inosine pranobex has been evaluated in in vitroand in vivostudies. A review of the antiviral activity of inosine pranobex and the onset of cellular and humoral immunity has been presented.

This paper presents the results of an experimental campaign investigating the seismic behaviour of full-size cross laminated timber (CLT) wall systems with sound-insulated shear-tension angle brackets. The main aim of the study was to investigate the influence of more and less flexible soundproofing bedding under the CLT wall. The paper shows a comparison of lateral load-bearing capacity, displacement capacity, ductility and stiffness obtained from racking tests on uninsulated specimens and specimens with various types of bedding insulation and levels of vertical load. Moreover, an analytical procedure to estimate the lateral load-displacement response of CLT walls with bedding insulation is proposed. This model is verified by direct comparison to the experimentally determined lateral load-displacement backbone curves. The results show that the elastomeric bedding does not have a significant effect on the bearing capacity of the wall system tested, but it reduces the stiffness and increases the displacement capacity. Due to the large decrease in stiffness, the insulation causes an overall reduction in ductility. The analytical estimation proposed was able to capture the reduction in lateral stiffness and adequately predict the load-bearing capacity.

This paper systematically reviews the potential of the Sentinel-2 (A and B) in assessing drought. Research findings, including the IPCC reports, highlighted the increasing trend in drought over the decades and the need for a better understanding and assessment of this phenomenon. Continuous monitoring of the Earth’s surface is an efficient method for predicting and identifying the early warnings of drought, which enables us to prepare and plan the mitigation procedures. Considering the spatial, temporal, and spectral characteristics, the freely available Sentinel-2 data products are a promising option in this area of research, compared to Landsat and MODIS. This paper evaluates the recent developments in this field induced by the launch of Sentinel-2, as well as the comparison with other existing data products. The objective of this paper is to evaluate the potential of Sentinel-2 in assessing drought through vegetation characteristics, soil moisture, evapotranspiration, surface water including wetland, and land use and land cover analysis. Furthermore, this review also addresses and compares various data fusion methods and downscaling methods applied to Sentinel-2 for retrieving the major bio-geophysical variables used in the analysis of drought. Additionally, the limitations of Sentinel-2 in its direct applicability to drought studies are also evaluated.

The availability maximization is a goal for any organization because the equipment downtime implies high non-production costs and, additionally, the abnormal stopping and restarting usually imply loss of product’s quality. In this way, a method for predicting the equipment’s health state is vital to maintain the production flow as well as to plan maintenance intervention strategies. This paper presents a maintenance prediction approach based on sensing data managed by Hidden Markov Models (HMM). To do so, a diagnosis of drying presses in a pulp industry is used as case study, which is done based on data collected every minute for three years and ten months. This paper presents an approach to manage a multivariate analysis, in this case merging the values of sensors, and optimizing the observable states to insert into a HMM model, which permits to identify three hidden states that characterize the equipment’s health state: “Proper Function”, “Alert state”, and “Equipment Failure”. The research described in this paper demonstrates how an equipment health diagnosis can be made using the HMM, through the collection of observations from various sensors, without information of machine failures occurrences. The approach developed demonstrated to be robust, even the complexity of the system, having the potential to be generalized to any other type of equipment.

Background/Purpose: Bicycles are a popular means of transportation in rural areas, especially among low-income populations, but they are also gaining popularity in metropolitan areas, especially among the fortunate and affluent. The Indian bicycle industry is dominated by roadsters, fancy, teenagers, and other types of bicycles such bicycles include mountain bikes, sports bikes, hybrid bikes, touring bikes, and other motorcycles. This article provides a comprehensive analysis of India's bicycle industry and examined it in depth. Objective: To observe the growth and challenges of Bicycle Industries and review the contributing factors that helped this growth. Design/Methodology/Approach: Analysis and presentation of information collected from various scholarly articles, web articles, and using SWOT framework. Findings/Result: Based on the analysis of facts and figures and also by looking at the various scenarios of expansion of the Bicycle industry in India, it is seen that this industry has seen considerable growth and progress in various avenues such as the country's economy, the contribution of the international economy, research in bicycle area. Few recommendations are also suggested to take the concept further. Originality/Value: This paper study provides a concise overview of the bicycle industry based on the different data gathered, as well as information on its existing state, needs, and potential for future improvement. Peer-to-Peer (P2P) networking emerged as a disruptive business model displacing the server based networks within a point in time.P2P technologies are on the edge of becoming all-purpose in developing several applications for social networking. In the past seventeen years, research on P2P computing and systems has received enormous amount of attention in the areas of academia and the industry. P2P rose to triumphant profit-making systems in the internet. It represents the best incarnation of the end to end argument, the frequently disputed design philosophies that guided the design of the internet. The doubting factor then is why is research on P2P computing now fading from the spotlight and suffering a nose dive fall as dramatic as its rise to its popularity. This paper is going to capture a quick look at past results in peer-to-peer computing with focus on understanding what led to its rise, what contributed to its commercial success and what has led to its lack of interest. The insight of this paper introduces cloud computing as a paradigm to peer-to-peer computing.
