This study looked at how using small or large pieces of Rice Husk Ash and Waste Paper Sludge Ash can affect how strong and how much the concrete shrinks when it dries. When Rice Husk Ash (RHA) and Waste Paper Sludge Ash (WPSA) were added to concrete, more water was needed. However, the mechanical properties of the concrete were similar or better than the concrete made with just Ordinary Portland Cement (OPC). Finer RHA and WPSA gave the best improvements. Rice husk and waste paper ash made things shrink a lot because of tiny particles that cause it to happen. This research looked at using waste paper sludge ash instead of some of the cement in a kind of concrete called M20 mix. They tested different amounts of the ash (0%, 5%, 10%, 15%, 20%, and 25%) to see how strong it made the concrete. They tested the strength of the concrete up to 28 days after it was made and compared it to normal concrete. Waste paper sludge can be used as fuel because it has a lot of heat energy. Afterwards, the remaining ash can be used to replace some of the cement.

In the discipline of civil engineering, the foundation plays a crucial role in supporting and containing loads of complete structures. Therefore, a foundation needs to be strong enough to increase any structure's useful life. The soil has a direct impact on the structure's foundation. Vertisols soil is soil with unstable and weak soil that needs to be stabilized to make the soil suitable for construction purposes. The study is to determine the effectiveness of the pulverized used paper and sugarcane straw ash as stabilizers of vertisols soil in San Isidro, Nueva Ecija. Natural soil was classified as A-7-6 of AASTHO classification system and CH as group name classified by USCS classification system, indicates that the soil is high in clay. The index properties of the natural soil showed that it is poor and weak soil that is not applicable for engineering purposes. Liquid limit and plasticity index values of 60% and 35%, respectively, suggested that the soil is in high plasticity. There is a gradual decrease in the plasticity index to a value of 25% at 15% SCSA+PUP as compared to natural vertisols soil with 35%, this indicates that the soil is progressively stabilizing. In addition, there are increases in the compaction parameters and CBR value of 14.0283 kN/m3and 5.47 at 100% MDD compared to natural vertisols soil with values of 13.69476 kN/m3and 4.83 at 100% MDD, respectively. But these values fall from the requirement suggested of sub-base coarse, however, there are considerable changes in the vertisols soil using SCSA and PUP. This study sought to decode the communicative intent of the analyzed rhetoric moves and metadiscourse markers of basic and action research funded under the Department of Education’s Basic Education Research Fund (BERF). Genre Analysis was used to analyze the corpora of the 30 BERF papers completed from 2016-2022. With the aid of coding sheets, the following structures were used: a combination of Hardjanto’s (1997; 2017) and Kosasih’s (2018) Abstract; Swales and Feak’s (2012) Introduction, Mc Combes’ (2019; 2021) Research Questions; Kwan’s (2006) Literature Review; DepEd’s Innovation, Intervention, and Strategy; a combination of Lim (2006), Peacock (2011), Kanoksilapatham (2012) and Huang’s (2014) Methodology; Swales and Feak’s (2012) Results and Discussion, and Yang & Allison’s (2003) Conclusion and Recommendation moves and steps framework. Using the Krippendorff alpha coefficient, the inter-rater reliability of the coders was set at almost perfect agreement (0. 838 or 84%). Generally, 26 obligatory, 31 optional, and 25 non-obligatory moves and steps were identified per the research section. Metadiscourse markers were determined utilizing AntConc 4.0.10 and were ranked as follows: (1) Evidentials, (2) Transition, (2) Self-mentions, (4) Code glosses, (5) Frame Markers, (6) Attitude Markers, (7) Hedges, (8) Engagement Markers, (9) Boosters, and (10) Endophoric Markers. Integrating the rhetoric moves, steps, and markers, the researcher came up with the six communicative intents (Inform, Outline, Convince, Explain, Present, Integrate) in writing research. The pulp and Paper industries are growing at a tremendous rate. To satisfy the raw material supply and sustainability of their future industries need an alternative resource from fast-growing tree species. Poplar is one of the world’s fastest-growing lightwood trees with its used in several industries. The present work relies on the comparative fiber morphological dimensions of four species of poplar i.e. Populus alba L, Populus ciliata Wall. ex Royle, Populus euphratica Oliv, and Populus nigra L. The quality of pulp and paper was directly related to the fiber dimensions i.e., fiber length, fiber lumen diameter, and fiber wall thickness. A number of wood properties related to paper quality were also derived from the fiber dimensions including the Runkel ratio, flexibility coefficient, solid factors, luce’s-shape factors, slenderness ratio and wall coverage ratio. The mean value of fiber length, fiber diameter, fiber wall thickness and basic density of these four species ranged from 919-1425 μm, 19.71-25.85 μm, 2.72-4.99 μm and 0.38-0.54 g cm⁻¹ respectively. The prominent objective was to compare the fiber quality of these four poplar species within among self and also with an exotic poplar species Populus deltoides and other fast-growing tree species.

Understanding the long-term impact of scientific findings requires understanding the dynamic process of new research fields' formation. In new research fields, slow-cited papers (SCP) and the awakeners (AW) are more likely to exist, indicating explorers revisited underrated but significant past papers relocating the findings in the new paradigm. This study acquired SCP-AW pairs located in the integrated point of two different research fields using the inheritance of clusters. We found that research field integration, including SCP-AW pairs, was diverse but followed a similar pattern throughout history, generating an equal mix of SCP and AW fields. The recent trend toward more AW-centric disciplinary combinations supports the belief that field integration will become increasingly technology-driven in the coming years.

This study aims to determine whether paper plate media has an effect on increasing literacy skills of children aged 5-6 years in Pembina Karawang State Kindergarten. This research is an experimental quantitative research. The subjects in this study were students of group B2. The results of this study prove that paper plate media has an effect on the literacy skills of children aged 5-6 years in Pembina Karawang State Kindergarten. This can be seen in the results of the t test or hypothesis testing. Hypothesis testing in this study shows that the results tcount > ttable (12,244 > 1,734) which means Ho is rejected and Ha is accepted. From these results, there is a difference between the average pretest and posttest, therefore there is a significant influence on the use of paper plate media with the literacy skills of children aged 5-6 years.

The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of the use of paper plate media on the numeracy skills of children aged 5-6 years at PAUD Plamboyan 3 Karawang. This study uses quantitative methods with experimental research design with the type of research The one group pretest and posttest, namely research experimentally in one group without any comparison. The data collection techniques in this study used observation methods and data analysis techniques using simple paired t-test. The results of this study indicate that there is a significant effect of paper plate media on children's numeracy skills, with an average pretest score of 58.00 and an average posttest score of 79.31, which means that the value increased significantly. So it can be said that the paper plate media has an effect on children's numeracy skills. It is hoped that this media can be used as a learning medium to develop children's numeracy skills or can be adapted to their needs.

The development of technologies for the production of paper products from reed pulp is an urgent issue in solving the problem of deep processing of raw materials, localization of product types. The purpose of the work is to create an effective technology for the production of cellulose from reeds growing in the territory of the Republic, to study the possibility of forming paper types on its basis. The possibility of using cellulose from reeds in paper compositions was suggested to be put into practice. The possibility of producing different types of paper using the obtained secondary resources was shown on the basis of physico-mechanical and physicochemical analysis of the formed paper. It was found that cellulose could be obtained by deep processing of local reeds. Technology for the production of semi-finished products, which is important for the paper industry, was proposed. The reed cellulose-based paper samples were tested in the company's laboratory.

In this work, we developed a facile method to enhance the capillary pumping on a nitrocellulose test strip by applying pressure on its surface using an electromagnet. The pressure was applied through a hydrophobic PDMS piece contacting the surface of the nitrocellulose test strip. The pressure applied can be easily adjusted by changing the current through the electromagnet. Compared to the control group without pressure, the groups with pressure of current 0, 6, 12, 19, 24 (a.u.) can improve the capillary pumping velocity by 56%, 25%, 12%, 29%, and 76% respectively. The number of papers submitted to academic conferences is steadily rising in many scientific disciplines. To handle this growth, systems for automatic paper-reviewer assignments are increasingly used during the reviewing process. These systems use statistical topic models to characterize the content of submissions and automate the assignment to reviewers. In this paper, we show that this automation can be manipulated using adversarial learning. We propose an attack that adapts a given paper so that it misleads the assignment and selects its own reviewers. Our attack is based on a novel optimization strategy that alternates between the feature space and problem space to realize unobtrusive changes to the paper. To evaluate the feasibility of our attack, we simulate the paper-reviewer assignment of an actual security conference (IEEE S&P) with 165 reviewers on the program committee. Our results show that we can successfully select and remove reviewers without access to the assignment system. ABSTRACT REST APIs have become widely adopted in the software industry, finding extensive usage for business-critical purposes such as data exchange, mobile app development, and microservice-based architectures. Such popularity has led to a proliferation of dedicated frameworks, making it challenging for developers and organizations to choose which one to use for developing resource-efficient solutions. Adding to the complexity is the possibility of adopting also different execution environments, such as GraalVM, that offer advantages such as faster startup times, lower memory footprint, and polyglot capabilities. Some prior works have investigated the performance of various frameworks for REST APIs. Still, these studies often consider simplistic scenarios with a single endpoint, which fail to capture the complexity and diversity of real-world REST API applications. Furthermore, the impact of different execution environments on performance was often overlooked. Consequently, there remains a significant knowledge gap in comprehensively assessing the combined influence of frameworks and execution environments on the performance of REST APIs. This study aims to move a first step towards bridging that gap, by conducting a thorough performance benchmark that encompasses real-world REST APIs and considers also the effects of different execution environments. More in detail, the study focuses on two of the most popular programming language and framework combinations for REST APIs, namely JavaScript with the Express framework and Java with the Spring framework. As for the execution environment, we consider both mainstream execution environments for JavaScript and Java (Node and OpenJDK, respectively), and GraalVM, which can execute both Java and JavaScript software. The benchmarking process involves conducting realistic load and stress tests using state-of-the-art tools. Results reveal significant differences in performance across the considered combinations, providing insights that could support developers and system architects in making more informed decisions on the technologies to use for their REST API projects. A point-of-care (POC) device is reported for highly sensitive and selective detection of Plasmodium falciparum lactate dehydrogenase (Pf-LDH), a biomarker of malaria infection, based on a single-step magneto-immunoassay, a single-use microfluidic paper device and a customized hand-held fluorescence reader. The single-step magneto-immunoassay consists in a single 5-min incubation of immuno-modified magnetic particles (c-MAb-MPs), biotinylated detection antibody (bd-MAb), and an enzymatic signal amplifier (Poly-HRP). After on-chip MP concentration and washing, signal generation is achieved by adding a fluorescent enzymatic substrate (QuantaRed). Fluorescence signal is measured using a low-cost customized, portable, and sensible fluorescent detector. Departing from this, a research was conducted to measure the performance of Supply Chain Management at PT.Pindo Deli Pulp and Paper Mills-3. Therefore, the measurement of the performance of Supply Chain Management at PT.Pindo Deli Pulp and Paper Mills-3 with performance indicators that need to be considered is whether the performance is good or not. If in a Supply Chain Management flow the performance rate is above the average, the it can be concluded that Supply Chain Management flow in the company has been running well so that it has a very positve effect on the production process in a company and if otherwise it is not good, it will be felt the proposed improvement to make the flow of Supply Chain Management in the company can run effectivively and efficiently so as to increase the producticity of the company. In this study using descriptive qualitative and quantitave methods and the results obtained that the Supply Chain Management review at PT.Pindo Deli Pulp and Paper Mills-3 based on the results of the anaysis above, it can be concluded that the Supply Chain Management performance is said to be good performance.

With a view to fabricating prominently strong handmade paper, MCC suspension (exterior additive), wax emulsion (interior additive) and reinforcement were applied with rosin. Optimal outcome was achieved on application of rosin incorporated with alum (internal additive) and MCC suspension. The strength was enhanced by 24.23% on rosin-alum treatment and use of MCC suspension. It was also noticed that use of rosin along with wax always lowered the strength.

In response to this problem, Cryptonik was developed as a cryptocurrency tracker using React.js and the CoinGecko API. This paper describes the development of Cryptonik, its features, and its potential applications. Cryptonik was designed to be a simple and userfriendly cryptocurrency tracker. The user interface includes a dashboard that displays the value of various cryptocurrencies in real-time. Users can select their preferred cryptocurrencies and view detailed information about each one. Additionally, Cryptonik uses Firebase authentication to provide users with secure access to their personalized dashboard.

Journal paper published in MDPI Photonics on 15/06/2021: All-dielectric superlens made from micro and nano particles has emerged as a simple yet effective solution to label-free, super-resolution imaging. High-index BaTiO3Glass (BTG) mi- crospheres are among the most widely used dielectric superlenses today but could potentially be replaced by a new class of TiO2metamaterial (meta-TiO2) superlens made of TiO2nanoparticles. In this work, we designed and fabricated TiO2metamaterial superlens in full-sphere shape for the first time, which resembles BTG microsphere in terms of the physical shape, size, and effective refractive index. Super-resolution imaging performances were compared using the same sample, lighting, and imaging settings. The results show that TiO2meta-superlens performs consistently better over BTG superlens in terms of imaging contrast, clarity, field of view, and resolution, which was further supported by theoretical simulation. This opens new possibilities in developing more powerful, robust, and reliable super-resolution lens and imaging systems.

There is interest in keeping records of the productivity of honeybees. Activity at the entrance can be a good measure of overall health and capacity, and a radar-based approach could be cheap, low power, and versatile, beyond other techniques. Fully automated systems would enable simultaneous, large-scale capturing of bee activity patterns from multiple hives, providing vital data for ecological research and business practice improvement. Data from a Doppler radar were gathered from managed beehives on a farm. Recordings were split into 0.4 s windows, and Log Area Ratios (LARs) were computed from the data. Support vector machine models were trained to recognize flight behavior from the LARs, using visual confirmation recorded by a camera. Spectrogram deep learning was also investigated using the same data. Once complete, this process would allow for removing the camera and accurately counting the events by radar-based machine learning alone. Challenging signals from more complex bee flights hindered progress. System accuracy of 70% was achieved, but clutter impacted the overall results requiring intelligent filtering to remove environmental effects from the data."&nbsp
