Introduction. In recent times, there has been a growing popularity of photovoltaic (PV) systems, primarily due to their numerous advantages in the field of renewable energy. One crucial and challenging task in PV systems is tracking the maximum power point (MPP), which is essential for enhancing their efficiency. Aim. PV systems face two main challenges. Firstly, they exhibit low efficiency in generating electric power, particularly in situations of low irradiation. Secondly, there is a strong connection between the power output of solar arrays and the constantly changing weather conditions. This interdependence can lead to load mismatch, where the maximum power is not effectively extracted and delivered to the load. This problem is commonly referred to as the maximum power point tracking (MPPT) problem various control methods for MPPT have been suggested to optimize the peak power output and overall generation efficiency of PV systems. Methodology. This article presents a novel approach to maximize the efficiency of solar PV systems by tracking the MPP and dynamic response of the system is investigated. Originality. The technique involves a multivariate linear regression (MLR) machine learning algorithm to predict the MPP for any value of irradiance level and temperature, based on data collected from the solar PV generator specifications. This information is then used to calculate the duty ratio for the boost converter. Results. MATLAB/Simulink simulations and experimental results demonstrate that this approach consistently achieves a mean efficiency of over 96 % in the steady-state operation of the PV system, even under variable irradiance level and temperature. Practical value. The improved efficiency of 96 % of the proposed MLR based MPP in the steady-state operation extracting maximum from PV system, adds more value. The same is evidently proved by the hardware results.

The present paper reports the elastic, mechanical and thermophysical properties of silver nanowire (Ag NW) using ultrasonic techniques at temperature dependent. Higher order elastic constants are calculated using Coulomb and Born-Mayer potential up to second nearest neighbour. To compute mechanical parameters such as young modulus, bulk modulus, shear modulus tetragonal modulus, Poisson's ratio, fracture to toughness ratio and Zener anisotropy factor for finding imminent performance of the single silver nanowire at temperature dependent using second order elastic constants. The Ag NW is found to be brittle in nature at room temperature. Finally, we have evaluated the ultrasonic velocities, ultrasonic attenuation due to phonon–phonon interaction and thermoelastic relaxation for longitudinal wave and shear waves along , and crystallographic directions in the temperature range 100-300K of silver nanowire using the higher order elastic constants. The attained results are discussed in correlation with available outcomes on these properties for the silver nanowire.

Consequent to the interaction potential model, the high-order elastic constants at high entropy alloys in single-phase quaternary ScTiZrHf have been calculated at different temperatures. Elastic constants of second order (SOECs) helps to determine other ultrasonic parameters. With the help of SOECs other elastic moduli, bulk modulus, shear modulus, Young’s modulus, Pugh’s ratio, elastic stiffness constants and Poisson’s ratio are estimated at room temperature for elastic and mechanical characterization. The other ultrasonic parameters are calculated at room temperature for elastic and mechanical characterization. The temperature variation of ultrasonic velocities along the crystal's z-axis is evaluated using SOECs. The temperature variation of the average debye velocity and the thermal relaxation time (τ) are also estimated along this orientation axis. The ultrasonic properties correlated with elastic, thermal and mechanical properties which is temperature dependent is also discussed. The ultrasonic attenuation due to phonon – phonon (p-p) interactions is also calculated at different temperatures. In the study of ultrasonic attenuation such as a function of temperature, thermal conductivity appears to be main contributor and p- p interactions are the responsible reason of attenuation and found that the mechanical properties of the high entropy alloy ScTiZrHf are superior at room temperature.
