Introduction. The article examines one of the most urgent problems of modern Ukraine - its place and importance in the worldcommunity, and the dynamics of Ukrainian society, both in the external and internal aspects of its functioning. The aim and maintask are to analyze the processes of formation and interaction of civilizational identities, as well as to reveal the image of"otherness" in the context of civilizational interaction and its illumination in the mass consciousness. The research methodologicalbasis was the works of representatives of German classical philosophy, and the works of modern and postmodern thinkers. Toidentify the real place of Ukraine in the political, economic, military, and cultural terms of Modernity, the formational and civilizationalapproaches are completed by a dialogical approach. The research result is the conclusion that the dialogue between civilizations isthe only possible way for the existence of Mankind. Dialogue is perceived as a constant interaction between different civilizationsbased on respect and mutual understanding. At the same time, a differentiation was between the concepts of "culture" and"civilization". The first concept is an internal feature of society, and the second is its external characteristic. The discussion showsthat in modern conditions, the status and need for researchers, who are able to create constructive ideas and concepts for thedevelopment of an original Ukrainian identity and the preservation of Ukrainian civilizational values naturally increase. “Other” is aconcept, a phenomenon that has a long history. As one of the main categories of ontology, the “other” is the subject of attention ofresearchers at different stages of the development of philosophy. The main conclusion is that economic, and socioculturaldevelopment raises the problem of specificity and identification of the state to a new level of complexity. Each country should havethe opportunity of free choice of civilizational development. However, the manifestation of individuality for different civilizations isspecific, therefore, one cannot copy someone's experience, and it only needs will take into account. Ukraine can only exist as a systemic state, with its tight control over the economy. However, in any case, it faces tasks that are not ideological clichés, butcommon for the development of any civilization, installations. The future of Ukraine is connected with its constant movement,through post-industrial development, the realization of basic, civilizational rights and freedoms of citizens. У статті досліджується одна з найактуальніших проблем сучасної України – її місце та значення у світовійспільноті, динаміка українського суспільства як у зовнішньому, так і внутрішньому аспектах його функціонування.Головним завданням є аналіз процесів формування та взаємодії цивілізаційних ідентичностей, а також розкриття образу«іншості» у контексті цивілізаційної взаємодії й її висвітлення у масовій свідомості. Методологічною основою статті булипраці представників німецької класичної філософії, праці мислителів доби модерну і постмодерну. Для виявлення дійсногомісця України в політичному, економічному, воєнному, культурному плані сучасності, формаційний і цивілізаційний підходидоповнюються діалогічним підходом. Діалог між цивілізаціями – це єдиний можливий спосіб існування людства. Діалогусвідомлюється як постійна взаємодія між різними цивілізаціями на основі поваги та взаєморозуміння. При цьомупроводиться диференціація між поняттями «культура» і «цивілізація». Перше поняття виступає внутрішньою ознакоюсуспільства, а друге – його зовнішньою характеристикою.

Introduction. The beginning of the new millennium can be defined as the time summing up the entire previous history. We got newopportunities to communicate, discuss our interests on an equal footing, and outline common goals while preserving our individual identitiesand our own belief systems. It is recognized that the development of civilization should take place through a progressive approach tospiritual growth. But at the beginning of the 21st century, the symptoms of the spiritual backwardness of civilizations became threatening,and therefore the problem of overcoming the spiritual crisis came to the fore. The aim and tasks are to identify the causes and features ofmanifestations of the crisis of spirituality on a global scale. Research methods. This research's theoretical and methodological basis is theworks of S. Huntington, O. Spengler, and A. Toynbee. The sociocultural approach, as well as the principles of historicism and systematicity,are important methodological tools for the study. Research results. Spirituality presupposes the individual's choice of his own life path andforms a tolerant attitude towards other people. It is recognized that social changes over time lead to the transformation of a person's spiritualvalues. And therefore, one of the current important tasks is to live without conflicts with others. Discussion. Humanity is forced to developnew strategies for human socialization. In the future, the acceleration of exchanging material and spiritual values between differentcivilizations and cultures is predicted. The partnership of civilizations is recognized as the most promising scenario for the furtherdevelopment of the world. Conclusion. New challenges intensify the existing differences in the world community. Existing problems requirelong-term cooperation for their solution, which requires a preliminary revival of humanity's spirituality. Стаття присвячена дослідженню проблеми подолання глибинної духовної кризи, яка охопила людство насучасному етапі розвитку цивілізацій. Висвітлені різні підходи щодо виявлення причин і особливостей прояву кризовихявищ у духовному житті суспільств і цивілізацій. Сконцентрована увага на необхідності розробки нових стратегійсоціалізації особистості. Обґрунтовується думка про те, що найперспективнішим сценарієм цивілізаційного розвитку вмайбутньому стане партнерство різних цивілізацій і культур, реалізувати який можна лише за умови відродженнядуховності.

Introduction. In modern humanitarian thought, the thesis is traced and supported that the fundamental values of history are beingformed rather by invariants of historical activity, having preserved in the body and spirit of culture than changes in the socio-economicprogress. The aim and tasks of the study are to analyze the connection between the civilizational processes of the modern global worldand culture, their interdependence, specific features inherent in modern civilization and culture, trends, ways, and place of culture in theprocess of overcoming the anthropological crisis of modernity; to reveal the role of intercultural dialogue in the system of moderncivilizational processes. The theoretical basis of the study was the work of Ukrainian and foreign researchers devoted to the problems ofculture and civilization in the field of philosophy of culture, cultural studies, sociology, and psychology. Dialectical, systemic,interdisciplinary, and comparative research methods were used. Research results. As a result of clarifying the content of the conceptsof "civilization", "culture", and "mentality", the dichotomy "civilization - culture" is considered in the study as two dialectically conditionedsides of the socio-historical process. One of them ‒ civilization ‒ represents the social organization of the social life of individuals, theintegrity of their world based on the reproduction of social wealth, which allows and ensures their existence and development. The otherside, culture, represents the existential experience inherent in civilization, invariant structures, and enduring universal human values.Discussion. Culture, on the one hand, is determined by the needs of the social practice of a particular stage in the development ofcivilization, which is expressed in the form of public interests, and on the other hand, culture is characterized by relative independence,internal sources of self-development and functioning mechanisms. Conclusion. As a result of understanding and discussing the topic,the author comes to the conclusion that culture provides a semantic field for the interaction of different spheres of activity, whenknowledge, norms, methods, techniques, rules, and values from one form of culture pass into others, are rethought there and stimulatethe development of their content. Culture creates the semantic space of civilization, its "force field", which can be called mental. У статті здійснюється аналіз діалектичного зв’язку цивілізаційних процесів сучасного глобалізованого світуі культури, їхня взаємообумовленість, специфічні риси, притаманні сучасній цивілізації і культурі, тенденції, шляхи і місцекультури в процесі подолання антропологічної кризи сучасності. Розкривається зміст понять «цивілізація», «культура»,«ментальність». Дихотомія «цивілізація – культура» розглядається як дві діалектично пов’язані сторони соціально-історичного процесу. Де одна з них – цивілізація – репрезентує соціальну організацію суспільного життя індивідів, їхнійспільносвіт на основі відтворення суспільного багатства, яке дозволяє і забезпечує їхнє існування і розвиток. А другасторона, – культура – репрезентує притаманний цивілізації екзистенційий досвід, інваріантні структури і неминущізагальнолюдські цінності. Introduction. The discursive practices of the culture of the information era foresee changes in the sphere of communication, inparticular, the transformation of existing and the emergence of new forms, styles, and genres, which most correspond to theaccelerated pace of information exchange. The saturation of visualized images of the network space stimulates the use of such agenre as a meme. The aim and tasks are to define the sociocultural characteristics of the meme phenomenon in public discourse,in particular its place in the communicative paradigm of the information age. Research methodology. The most optimal componentof the methodological toolkit for studying the key features and functional potential of a meme in the conditions of the information age,in particular in public discourse, should be considered a socio-cultural approach, which makes it possible to represent the keycharacteristics of the specified genre as an integral component of the social reality of modern culture. Research results. Performingthe role of a kind of intermediary between the creator and the consumer of information, the mentioned communication tool showsgreat adaptive ability and flexibility in adapting to the socio-cultural conditions of reality. A meme is perceived not only as one of themain ways of fragmenting the changing surrounding world, as a manifestation of a person's attitude towards it but as a kind of socialcode that regulates life activities. Discussion. Certain aspects of the sociocultural dimension of memetics are considered in theworks of S. Blackmore, R. Brody, and R. Dawkins, as well as Ukrainian scientists Zh. Denysiuk, O. Olenin, T. Poda, L. Skokov, andothers. Conclusions. The socio-cultural characteristics of a meme in public discourse are determined by the fact that it contains thecultural meanings of the era, has the ability to instantly spread information, and easily attracts the attention of the mass consumerdue to the use of established stereotypes. Досліджено соціокультурні характеристики мема в публічному дискурсі. Доведено, що до використаннятакого жанру спонукає насиченість візуалізованими образами як невід’ємний атрибут мережевого комунікативногопростору. Аргументовано положення, згідно з яким мем має здатність до миттєвого поширення інформації таактивно привертає увагу масового споживача завдяки використанню усталених стереотипів. Обґрунтовано йогодеструктивні та конструктивні характеристики. Зауважено, що завдяки віртуальній комунікації межі дискурсивнихпрактик розмиваються, з огляду на що мем стає зрозумілим і затребуваним у різних стилях, з легкістю мігруючи зодного типу дискурсу в інший.

Introduction. Globalization processes in the modern world are the reason for the expansion of inter-civilizational contacts, cooperation,and at the same time tension. This indicates the strengthening of the inter-civilizational challenge in the modern world and the urgentneed to form a response. The aim and tasks of the article are to examine the approach of the Catholic Church to the problem of intercivilizationalchallenges. Research methods determined by the aim of the study include the use of sociocultural and cultural-historicalapproaches and the method of conceptual analysis. Research results. The main provisions of Catholic social doctrine in the context ofglobalization on the basis of the study of encyclicals, speeches, and works of John Paul II, and Benedict XVI are highlighted. The articledraws attention to the consistency, interconnectedness of their concepts, the formation of a holistic approach to inter-civilizationalproblems, and globalization. Particular emphasis is placed on the anthropocentricity and ethics of the Catholic Church's approach tosolving problems caused by globalization. It is emphasized that humanistic values are the basis of the social teaching of the CatholicChurch. The Catholic Church points to an opportunity for humanity to move to a new level of development, to find ways to solvepressing problems in the process of globalization. The leading role should be played by the dialogue, first of all intercultural, broadly,inter-civilizational. The constructive inter-civilizational dialogue based on faith and universal human values is, from the point of view of Catholic social teaching, an appropriate response to inter-civilizational challenges. The dialogue foresees the active interaction ofnational cultures while preserving their independence and uniqueness. The goal of dialogue, John Paul II and Benedict XVI emphasize, is the man; the joint peaceful activity of mankind to achieve real progress. Discussion. Peculiarities of the approach to the problemsand challenges of globalization in social science are the subject of interest of scientists and philosophical analysis. Conclusion. Thesocial teaching of the Catholic Church emphasized that one can talk about progress if it provides life, and rights, leads to increasingstandards of man’s living and creates conditions for self-realization. This approach to solving inter-civilizational challenges is relevant to the modern world. Анотація. У статті розглядається підхід католицької церкви до проблеми міжцивілізаційних викликів. На основі аналізуенциклік, промов, праць Іоанна Павла ІІ, Бенедикта XVI висвітлюються основні положення католицької соціальної доктринив контексті глобалізації. Підкреслюється, що основою соціального вчення католицької церкви виступають гуманістичніцінності. Саме вони мають виступати як основа для міжцивілізаційної взаємодії, розвитку діалогу і співпраці як відповіді наміжцивілізаційні виклики сьогодення. Належною відповіддю на міжцивілізаційні виклики за позицій католицької церкви єконструктивний міжцивілізаційний діалог, метою якого є дійсний прогрес людства.

Introduction. In recent decades, society's attention to nature has increased significantly. First of all, this is due to a dramatic growth of environmental problems. The search for ways to solve existing problems in the system of nature leads to an awareness of the relationship between the state of ecology and the specifics of the socio-cultural development of society, thus updating various studies aimed at identifying the specifics of culture and nature. The aim and tasks are a socio-philosophical study of culture as a way of interacting with nature. Research methods. The methodological strategy of the research is based on socio-cultural, cultural-historical, systemic, and comparative methodological approaches in their dialectical relationship. Research results. The study of the essence of culture inevitably encounters antinomy: that is, the contradiction between two judgments that are recognized as true. On the one hand, culture is supernatural, and non-biological, it cannot be reduced to the natural. On the other hand, the cultural is being constructed out of the natural, nothing more. In this way, the impression of the simultaneous unity and difference between cultural and natural is created. This perspective of the study implies in the long run a need to take into account both points of view. It leads to the recognition of parity, not a priority in understanding the strategy of culture and nature. The key to solving this problem, according to the author, lies in the anthropological plane, because it is the man who actively influences the interaction of culture and nature, combining the two systems because it belongs internally to each of them. Discussion. The historical development of the concept of "culture" in the context of its relation to the concept of "nature" is considered in the discussion. Conclusion. Since culture is a way of human interaction with nature, its specificity largely determines the state of affairs in nature. Exit from crisis situations implies corresponding changes both in the anthropological and socio-cultural plane. У статті проведено дослідження специфіки культури як способу взаємозв`язку суспільства з природою. Авторґрунтується на позиції, що дослідження сутності культури невідворотно стикається з антиномічністю, тобто суперечністюміж двома судженнями, які визнаються як вірні. З одного боку, культура є надприродною, позабіологічною, її неможливозвести лише до природного. З іншого боку, культуру, окрім як із природного, більше ні з чого побудувати. У такий спосіб,створюється враження про одночасну єдність та відмінність культурного й природного. Даний ракурс дослідженняпередбачає в перспективі необхідність врахування обох точок зору. Це веде до визнання паритетності, а непріоритетності в розумінні стратегії розвитку культури та природи. Ключ до вирішення даного питання, на думку автора,лежить в антпропологічній площині, оскільки саме людина активно впливає на взаємодію культури і природи, об’єднуючиобидві ці системи.

Introduction. The article is devoted to the philosophical understanding of the relationship between culture and religion, theirinteraction in the modern world. The methodology for studying the relationship between culture and religion presupposes cleardefinitions of conceptualization and concept. In modern Ukrainian religious studies, there are no methodological approaches to thestudy of religion, the features of its functioning in society. The main task of the article is to reveal the features of the relationshipbetween culture and religion in their historical movement. Various stages of their relationship are revealed. The main researchmethods are: interdisciplinary, dialectical, historical, non-confessional. Research results are the basic value propositions aboutculture in its historical movement, as well as the variety of philosophical and religious searches at different stages of the formation of mankind, are revealed. Conceptualization is a process of intellectual coding of ideas that highlight the meaning of understandingculture in a particular language area. The concept is the result of individual and collective cognition. The concept includes, firstly, themeanings that belong to reality, and secondly, it opens up possibilities for the search and interpretation of these meanings. In thisregard, it is impossible to provide the concept with any universal definition. A concept is perceived by another person if the ideacontained in the concept correlates with the experience of a particular person. The discussion leads to the fact that the dynamics ofthe movement of culture is decisive for the development of society, while religion, to a certain extent, can have negativeconsequences. Conclusions. Any "modernization" of Christianity leads to the dominance of non-traditional religious currents andmovements. Стаття присвячена філософському осмисленню співвідношення культури і релігії, їхній взаємодії в сучасномусвіті. Методологія дослідження взаємовідносин культури і релігії передбачає чіткі дефініції концептуалізації й концепту. Всучасному українському релігієзнавстві відсутні методологічні підходи щодо дослідження релігії, особливостей їїфункціонування в соціумі. Виявлені базові ціннісні положення щодо культури в її історичному русі, а також розмаїттяфілософських і релігійних пошуків на різних етапах становлення людства. Концептуалізація являє собою процесінтелектуального кодування ідей, у яких висвітлюється смисл розуміння культури в конкретній мовній сфері. Концепт єрезультатом індивідуального і колективного пізнання. Концепт містить у собі, по-перше, смисли, які є приналежними дореальності, а по-друге, він відкриває можливості для пошуку та інтерпретації цих смислів. У такому плані неможливонадати концепту якогось універсального визначення. Концепт є таким, який усвідомлюється іншою людиною, якщо таідея, що міститься в концепті, співвідноситься з досвідом конкретної людини.Висновком є те, що в ХХІ ст. будь-які«осучаснення» християнства призводять до домінування нетрадиційних релігійних течій і рухів.

Introduction. Current changes in the spheres of production and interpersonal relations lead to the transformation of the valuesystem. The choice of the theme is dictated by optimistic forecasts of K. Schwab of value transformations in the publicconsciousness in his work "Fourth Industrial Revolution". The aim of the article is a philosophical analysis of the valuetransformations of the information society due to global changes in recent decades. Research methods of this work arephilosophical and general scientific methods, sociocultural, systemic, and synergetic approaches. Research results. In thephilosophical literature, there is a vagueness of criteria for classifications of values. Values are able to become a self-sufficientsubject of human interests and aspirations which leads to their absolutization. But in the lives of individuals, countries, and peoplesthere are other worldview crises - then there is a reassessment of values. J. Lipovetsky describes the transition from the modern tothe postmodern epoch in terms of the change in value orientations. According to him, since the 1950s, American and Europeansociety has been mainly interested in consumption, entertainment and pleasure. In the late XX c., R. Ingelgart explored the relationsbetween values, economics, and politics based on the World Values Survey. This study shows that neither individual nor socialvalues can change instantly. On the contrary, the change of values is gradual. The shift from materialistic to postmaterial priorities isat the core of the postmodernization process. K. Schwab focuses on how technology and society coexist to make the world a betterplace by taking advantage of the modern technological revolution. Changes in the socio-economic environment contribute totransforming beliefs and values at the individual level. At the same time, it is impossible to predict the time of change of these beliefs and values with K. Schwab’s certainty. Discussion. Ukrainian researchers V. Onoprienko and L. Drotianko note the erroneousness of some forecasts and prospects for the development of the information society being the same capitalist economic model, despit the impact of digitalization on all spheres of public life. According to H. Kleshnia, interest in the problem of values always occurs in times of crisis, the search for new cultural foundations of human existence. Conclusion. At present, it is difficult to determine the trends of changes in the value system due to the fact that we are only at the origins of the fourth industrial revolution. At the same time, the analysis of the value transformations of the transition from the modern era to the postmodern era, carried out by famous philosophers and sociologists, testifies to the priority of individuality, personal freedom, and oblivion of responsibility to society. That is why optimistic forecasts of achieving social harmony during the implementation of the fourth industrial revolution look premature. У статті розглядається трансформація ціннісних орієнтацій людей за інформаційної доби. Осмисленняінтелектуальних і культурних наслідків впровадження інформаційно-комунікаційних технологій і пов’язану із цимпроблему зміни аксіологічної складової індивідуального та суспільного буття людей, є завданням сучасної філософії.Оптимістичні прогнози щодо змін усіх аспектів життєдіяльності соціуму завдяки початку четвертої промисловоїреволюції співіснують у філософській літературі разом із сумними передбаченнями впливу інформаційного середовища наособистість, соціальні шари і, навіть, покоління людей.

Introduction. The challenges of the global order prove that it is environmental issues that demonstrate the level of self-awareness of bothsociety as a whole and the individual. The idea that the vital need of today is the formation of ecological consciousness and the need togreen all its other forms is substantiated in the works on the philosophical problems of ecology. The aim and tasks. The aim of this study isto identify the content of the phenomenon of ecological consciousness, as well as those transformations in culture and civilization thatprovoked the development of ecological philosophy. The aim and tasks. The theoretical foundations of the study are the works ofphilosophers and scientists who analyzed the transformations in European culture that changed man's attitude to nature. It will beappropriate to apply the method of comparative analysis, as well as system-logical and structural research methods. Research results. Theanalysis of the main causes of global problems requires a return to the times when philosophers and scientists began to cover thetransformations of society and the individual, which, they said, led to spirituality and practicality. The essence of modern world problemsmust be sought not in external factors, but in man. The social consciousness has finally accepted the threat of a planetary catastrophe asreal. Specialists in various fields of science make every effort to find ways to solve environmental problems. An important result of manystudies has been the necessary realization to develop a paradigm of progress that would be based on self-restraint, on changing the typesof production in order to reduce its growth. Discussion Mankind has a close ecological, demographic connection, without feeling the unity inthe cultural and civilizational sense. Modern civilizations are at different levels of economic development and therefore have differentopportunities in solving environmental problems. In philosophical studies of ecology the position on necessity of formation of ecologicalconsciousness is substantiated. Environmental philosophy as a separate area of research which aims to develop a strategy of action thatwill at least slow down, if not stop the deepening of the current environmental crisis is being actively developed. The problem of coevolutionof man and the biosphere is fundamental to ecological philosophy. У статті аналізується феномен екологічної свідомості, обґрунтовується його соціокультурний тацивілізаційний виміри. Показано, як кризові явища в європейській культурі та цивілізації зумовили необхідністьформування глобальної свідомості, яка існує в зв’язках із іншими формами суспільної свідомості, які такожекологізуються. Проілюстровано, що накопичення проблем, пов’язаних із поглибленням екологічної кризи на планеті,зумовило необхідність зародження нового напряму філософських досліджень -екологічної філософії; зроблено акцентна проблемі інтеграції екології й філософії в сучасному філософському і науковому знанні.

Introduction. In recent decades, humanity has lived in a special world created by signs and symbols modeling or simulating the objective reality perceived as a whole existing one by some participants of communication. In the new "reality" being constructed in man’s mind through communication man interacts rather with images of things or people not with physical objects themselves. The aim and the tasks. The article is devoted to the study of various aspects of symbolic communication in the digital age and to identify the changes taken place in understanding of the nature and content of symbols. Research methods. The study is based on a sociocultural methodological approach to research the nature of communicative processes in the context of cultural transformations that occur in the digital age. To solve certain problems, the systematic and complementarity principles, as well as the method of cultural and semantic analysis are used. Research results: the features of symbolic communication in the context of the mass use of information-communication technologies that affect the communicating people in different social networks are studied. The evolution of the concept of communication in social thought is presented with an emphasis on the philosophical aspect. The sociocultural methodological approach used in the study allowed to consider the nature of communication processes in the context of cultural transformations taking place in the digital era. Culture is preserved, comprehended and transmitted through communication. Each culture is a unique symbolic-sign system, used in particular codes. To achieve goals in modern communication, skills of correct coding and decoding (interpretation) of messages assume a particular importance. Discussion. It is substantiated that with the spread of aesthetic ideas and mechanisms of mass culture, new information and communication technologies in the Postmodern era, a new perspective on the nature of symbols has appeared: they are losing their primary meaning and turning into empty forms that can be "filled" with any content. These processes have led to the dialogue decline and meaningful changes in communication processes. New realities make researchers find ways to solve the problem of ineffective communication, contacts occurring in various networks. Conclusion. The study of the features of symbolic communication in the digital era made it possible to conclude that symbols will not lose their meaning in future, since with their help people are able to more easily adapt to changing living conditions. В статті досліджуються особливості символічної комунікації в умовах широкого використання інформа-ційно-комунікаційних технологій, які впливають на спілкування і сприйняття інформації людьми, які комунікують у рі-зних соціальних мережах. Розглянуто підходи до визначення поняття «комунікація». Обґрунтовується висновок, що зрозповсюдженням естетичних ідей та механізмів масової культури з´явилося нове бачення природи символів, що істо-тно вплинуло на якість діалогу та зумовило змістовні зміни в комунікаційних процесах.

Introduction. The analysis of attributes of modern media landscape has shown the growing significance of the society digitalization.Today, this process extends beyond the purely technological field and serves as a core driver for the transformation of characteristics ofthe sociocultural space, primarily the communicative interaction. The aim and tasks. This article aims to analyze the communicativecharacteristics of the modern cultural age in the context of the society digitalization. Research methods. The methodological toolsconsist of the sociocultural approach, methodological principles of systematicity, and completeness. Research results. The digitalmodel of world perception serves as a background for the deployment of a new communicative strategy, forming an environment for theformation of information culture as a new cultural type. Discussion. Results of the analysis of the communicative characteristics of themodern cultural age in the context of digitalization are adding to the conceptual achievements of theorists in the outlined issue and arejointly aimed at finding the optimal strategy for combating the challenges of globalization. Conclusion. The communicative paradigm ofthe modern cultural age in the context of digitalization is ambivalent. On the one hand, it provides ample opportunities for theaccelerated information exchange, intercultural interaction via Internet platforms, continuous broadcasting and communication online,etc., and on the other hand, under these conditions, the communicative interaction is associated with numerous risks, includinginformation overload, degradation of the critical perception of the information flow, “digital inequality”, imposition of content, use ofmanipulative technologies, etc. An important factor in addressing these and other problems in creating an optimal model ofcommunicative interaction is the formation of an information culture capable of preserving traditional and developing new values andworldview attitudes able to meet the challenges of globalization. Доведено, що цифровизація як невід’ємний атрибут інформаційної ери сягає за межі суто технологічноїгалузі та слугує визначальним чинником трансформації характеристик соціокультурного простору, зокремакомунікативної взаємодії. Обґрунтовано амбівалентний характер комунікативної парадигми сучасної культурної доби вконтексті цифровизації: з одного боку, вона надає широкі можливості для прискореного інфообміну, міжкультурноївзаємодії, безперервної трансляції повідомлень, спілкування онлайн тощо, а з іншого – означена численними ризиками,серед яких – перенасичення інформацією, зниження рівня критичності сприйняття інфопотоку, «цифрова нерівність»,нав’язування контенту, застосування маніпулятивних технологій тощо. Доведено, що важливим чинником подоланняцих та інших проблем на шляху побудови оптимальної моделі комунікативної взаємодії усвідомлюється становленняінформаційної культури, здатної зберегти традиційні й виробити нові цінності та світоглядні настанови, щовідповідатимуть викликам глобалізації.

The article is devoted to the analysis of the public sphere of modern society as a complex and dynamic phenomenon of so-cial and political interactions involved in the virtualization, mediatization and digitalization processes. The space of the digital public sphere, in contrast to the traditional public sphere one, is controlled by means of algorithms – hidden mechanisms integrated into many information platforms responsible for structuring of information on public platforms where people can discuss issues of concern. The ar-guments of techno-optimists and techno-pessimists regarding the effectiveness of digital activity and its risks in short-term, action-oriented practices and long-term perspectives are given. The search for consensus in the definition of digital activism makes the debate about its nature, harm and benefit to society of great current interest, encourages for the further study of the given problem. Вступ. У сучасному свiтi все частіше артикулюється нетрадиційне поняття спільноти, пов'язане з поняттям комунікації. Ко-мунікація виявляється тієї сполучною тканиною, що об'єднує різних суб'єктів в єдину політичну спільноту. У цьому контексті публічна комунікація набуває особливої значущості як інструмент взаємодії та вирішення конфліктів, як підстава створення політичної спільноти. Метою статті є аналіз специфіки існування публічної сфери, що формується в сучасних медіако-мунікаціях. Для реалізації даної мети необхідно вирішити такі дослідницькі завдання: здійснити аналіз класичного уявлення публічної сфери як форми суспільно-політичної участі громадян; представити проведення публічної комунікації в практиках нових медіа. Методологія дослідження публічної комунікації закладена у працях таких дослідників, як Дж. Ролз, Ю. Габермас, Дж. Боман, Дж. Коен, А. Янг та ін. Вони застосовують комунікативний підхід до дослідження політичної сфери та процесів, які супроводжують позиціонування індивіда та соціальних груп у межах соціально-політичного поля. Результати дослідження. Нормативний ідеал публічної сфери у доробку І. Канта, Х. Арендт та Ю. Габермаса представлений як простір, де можливо відкрите вираження своєї думки, критика і дискусії. Це - простір плюральності думок, що унеможливлює монополізацію влади. Нарешті, це є простір, який забезпечує інклюзивність та рівність комунікантів. У публічній сфері постійно відбувається процес формування балансу інтересів різних суспільних акторів, тих вимог і підтримки, які вони готові надавати державним інститутам з метою вирішення значущих проблем публічної сфери. Практики неоліберальної модернізації в сучасному світі, постмодерніст-ські тренди в політиці розмивають більш-менш точне визначення меж сфери діяльності державних інститутів та акторів грома-дянської сфери. Інтернет стає ареною протесту і громадянської мобілізації. Дослідники звертають увагу на нові форми медіаучасті громадян: підписання онлайн-петицій і онлайн-дискусії; вступ до ad-hoc групи в соціальних мережах; репости або розміщення посилань на матеріали з проблемних питань та ін. Дії в мережевих медіа, названі медійною активністю, сприяють поширенню інформації, підвищенню обізнаності із соціальних та політичних проблем. Багато з них є паростками активності, що зароджується онлайн і далі реалізується в офлайн (наприклад, краудсорсінг). Але існують цифрові форми активізму, які по-вністю реалізуються в Інтернеті. Для реалізації таких практик розробляються спеціальні соціальні платформи і додатки, вини-кають спільноти так званих IT-волонтерів. Обговорення. Мережеві скептики заявляють, що соціальні мережі і блоги повели людство хибним шляхом: замість творчості та індивідуальності тут заохочуються поверхові судження, швидкість створення і споживання контенту на основі автоматизованих способів структурування інформації. Розвиток онлайнової присутності і он-лайн-спільнот вириває індивіда з реальних форм спільності, обмежує можливості в реальній соціальній взаємодії. Численні мережеві оптимісти, такі як К. Андерсон, Д. Тапскотт і К. Ширки, вважають, що медіа є ключовим елементом протестних рухів останніх років. За допомогою засобів медіа ці протестні рухи організовуються, управляються, висвітлюються, щоб якомога більше людей змогли дізнатися про них. Висновки. Здійснено порівняльний аналіз класичного концепту публічної сфери і про-явів громадської активності в сучасній культурі. Представляючи собою історично більш масштабний аналог літературних са-лонів XVIII століття, віртуальна публічна сфера як простір для інтелектуальної дискусії і суспільного діалогу відчуває дефіцит у сфері розробки адекватного алгоритму структурування та аналізу медіа-активності пересічних користувачів. В умовах функціонування електронних медіа зникає межа між приватним і публічним висловлюваннями, що позбавляє індивіда необ-хідності здійснювати трансцендентальний акт виходу в публічний простір, проблематизує можливість публічної сфери в її кла-сичній повноті. Статус публічної сфери змінюється в бік множинності сенсів. Раціональну аргументацію дискутування змінює емоційність висловлювань; через спонтанність і гіпертекстуальність комунікативних процесів розвиток дискусії буває важко простежити. Звідси виникає питання про особливості функціонування та управління процесами віртуальної публічної сфери, масштаб і глибина якої можуть перевершувати можливості державних або міжнародних інститутів щодо її регулювання.

Introduction. Education plays an important role in the life of society, occupies a special place in the cultural system. Therefore, education is a subject of philosophical study too. The content, goals and functions of higher education are determined by the needs of society. It is necessary to comprehend what is happening with higher education in the information age. The aim and tasks. The article examines the influence of various factors on the content of the socio-cultural functions of higher education. It is necessary to determine the guidelines for a new paradigm of higher education in the information society. Research methods. The methodological basis of this study is a complex of philosophical and general scientific methods. The sociocultural, systemic and synergetic approaches were also used. In the light of the synergetic approach, culture is viewed as a self-developing system. Synergetics helps to comprehend the non-linear processes that occur both in the education system and its relations with the sociocultural environment. Research results. Education is a part of society and culture. Sometimes society makes claims to the education sector. But gradually the contradictions are resolved. If the country is in a state of permanent crisis, it penetratesinto all spheres of human life. Education is both conservative and innovative. The stability of the education sector has developed historically – since the days of medieval schools and universities. At the same time, each era adds new ideas and pedagogical technologies to education. Ukraine became an independent state 30 years ago. Political changes have significantly influenced the institution of education. Summarizing all educational transformations, we can say that they were unsystematic, even chaotic, and depended on the next team that came to power in our country. Another reason for significant changes in the education system was the transition to an information society and the need to train appropriate specialists for all spheres of life. The number of universities and students has increased in Ukraine, but for effective changes in the field of higher education its a new model, a paradigm is needed. Discussion. In the academic publications of Ukraine, there is a lack of clarity and fragmentation in the definition of both the general state of the higher education system and the prospects for its renewal.Соnclusion.Currently, there is a search and application of new educational technologies, a combination of traditional and innovative approaches to meet the socio-cultural needs of the information age. У статті розглядається необхідність модернізації вищої освіти за допомогою нових освітніх моделей, адекватних сучасним соціокультурним умовам. Суттєві зміни у сфері освіти пояснюються як переходом до інформаційного суспільства, так і значною історичною та геополітичною подією – набуттям незалежності нашої країни в 1991 році. Наголошено, що реформи освітніх процесів останніх десятиліть не призвели до системних змін. Філософський аналіз соціокультурних функцій вищої освіти є необхідним для визначення відношень між освітою, соціумом і культурою загалом, з’ясування перспектив їхньої взаємодії.

Introduction. The timeliness of the study is determined by the global nature of the problems in the development of modern society. The current global problems are the result of a certain development strategy, and, above all, a certain type of worldview that has developed in a particular historical period. Therefore, the solution of existing problems is associated with finding the optimal worldview, which, in turn, determines the specifics of the knowledge base of socio-cultural activities (the specifics of worldview and instrumental knowledge). The aim and tasks are a study of the specifics of knowledge in the context of socio-cultural development. Research methods: The methodological strategy of the research is based on socio-cultural, cultural-historical, systemic and comparative methodological approaches in their dialectical unity. Research results. In each historical epoch, a certain type of worldview is formed, which determines the specifics of human activity. There is a certain relationship between worldview knowledge, which is the basis of a certain type of worldview-orientation, and instrumental knowledge, which is designed in accordance with this type of worldview. Such interdependence of worldview and instrumental knowledge has a decisive influence on the specifics of socio-cultural development in general and the relevant era in particular. Discussion examines the specifics of knowledge used in the field of social relations in Antiquity. Conclusion. The knowledge basis of socio-cultural activity is worldview and instrumental knowledge, the specificity of which is determined by a certain type of worldview that has developed in different historical periods. В статті проведено дослідження специфіки, місця та ролі знання у соціокультурному розвитку. Приймаючи думку, що в кожну історичну епоху складається певний тип світовідношення, який і визначає специфіку діяльності людини, автор дослі-джує залежність між світоглядним знанням, яке є основою певного типу світовідношення, та інструментальним знанням, що оформлюється відповідно до даного типу світовідношення. Така взаємозалежність світоглядного та інструментального знан-ня, на думку автора, здійснює визначальний вплив на специфіку соціокультурного розвитку загалом та відповідної епохи зокрема.
