By the methods of high-resolution raster electronic microscopy (SEM), it is set that addition of carbon nanotubes (CNTs) to PTFE causes a change morphology: porosity, presence of polycrystalline fibrillar lamellas, friability of packing of elements of structure, adhesion of filler, with a matrix is low, a transitional layer is poorly expressed. Coefficient of friction for samples with a different percentage CNTs differs more than on 70%. Intensity of the linear wear down diminishes for all of composites of PTFE/CNT with content 1,0;, 2,5 and 5,0 % CNT in ~ 6, 17 and 65 times from an initial value accordingly. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
