In the context of the growing global concern for sustainable economic growth, the importance of managing limited natural resources and minimizing the impact on the environment is becoming increasingly evident. In this direction, joint efforts must focus on developing an economy that meets the needs of the present without jeopardizing the ability of future generations to meet their own needs. To achieve this goal, eco-innovation becomes essential, by promoting the development and implementation of innovative technologies aimed at supporting resource efficiency and reducing the negative impact on the environment. In this context, the paper aims to analyze the role of eco-innovation in resource efficiency, where the author presents and explains the interdependence between the 2 concepts in the context of sustainable economic growth. At the same time, the paper aims to analyze the activities undertaken by companies from the Republic of Moldova in terms of resource efficiency and the impact of climate change on strategies. The methodology is based on the survey method, methods of analysis and synthesis of data interpretation and relevant comparisons. The research results illustrate different ways in which companies are adapting to changes in their environment, including climate change, and various efforts to improve resource efficiency, which remain very modest. This underlines the importance of developing and implementing resource optimization strategies within companies, through eco-innovations, while monitoring the impact of these strategies, which is a way to respond to permanent challenges in the business environment and to contribute to strengthening a more sustainable economy.

The reform of economic management systems should be recognized as a long-term process, with gradual enhancements and innovations made in practical application, ultimately promoting sustainable enterprise development. This study delves into the internal mechanics of enterprise economic management innovation, primarily examining the aspects of planning and organization, within manufacturing enterprises like Midea Group. This paper extensively explores the relationship between the formulation and management of long-term and short-term plans, the philosophy of management, the current state of production management, and the overall development strategy within the field of enterprise economic management. It primarily emphasizes the following three points: 1) Enterprises must adjust their management philosophy to align with their development trajectory, the dynamically changing market competition landscape, and the evolving contours of the contemporary environment; 2) The trajectory from low-efficiency to high-efficiency production management is closely linked to the production budget and decision-making processes of enterprises; 3) The prevalence of internal strategic management within enterprises and the optimization level of resource allocation play a pivotal role in measuring the innovation quotient of internal planning management. Simultaneously, this paper places significant emphasis on the analysis of organizational innovation structures, indicating that enterprises should establish sound management systems to enhance internal efficiency and competitiveness. Moreover, enterprises should align themselves with market dynamics and trends, avoiding risky behaviors to ensure the long-term success of economic management practices. Additionally, enterprises must continually innovate and adjust organizational structures to adapt to market changes and development requirements, thereby achieving sustained growth.

This article examines the concept of integrated sustainability management and its relationship with corporate social responsibility (CSR) and environmental, social and corporate governance (ESG). Although CSR is a normative concept that requires companies to be responsible for their participation in society from an ethical perspective, ESG helps measure and quantify these efforts, primarily through investment criteria. The paper identifies that sustainability reporting (SDR) can bring financial, reputational, risk management and strategic benefits to companies, and more companies recognize the importance of sustainability reporting and making it a priority in their business practices. This study presented grouped classifications of the benefits of ESG disclosure in corporate reporting. The main problems faced by Ukrainian companies during the implementation of ESG criteria in their activities are highlighted, in particular: limited awareness and lack of understanding of ESG issues, lack of standardized ESG reporting, improper disclosure of ESG information, weak compliance with existing regulations, insufficient coverage of ESG issues in mass media information, etc. This article also suggests some measures that should be taken to solve the mentioned problems. The paper highlights the relationship between sustainability and financial performance, a widely debated topic. Some argue that implementing sustainability practices can have a positive impact on a company's financial performance in the long term, while others argue that sustainability practices can have a negative short-term impact on financial performance. In addition, the analysis of major meta-reviews that analyze and summarize research findings on the relationship between ESG reporting and financial performance is highlighted. These meta-reviews show that there is indeed a positive relationship between these metrics, although the strength of the relationship may vary depending on a number of factors, including industry, geographic location, and company size.

With economic and social progress, the focus of regional unbalanced development has evolved. In the new era of socialism with Chinese characteristics, people’s aspirations for a better life are no longer limited to material and cultural necessities; the notion of a better life has become increasingly diversified, transcending individual or family micro-level welfare to embrace a comprehensive perspective of societal development. Focusing on the ethnic regions of Southwest China, this paper examines the fundamental characteristics of their coordinated economic and social development and offers relevant policy recommendations that provide a theoretical framework for scholars studying balanced regional economic growth. This study describes the characteristics of balanced economic and social development in Southwest China’s ethnic regions in four dimensions: sustainable economic growth, social stability, ecological civilization construction, and people-centered development ideology. Through comparative analysis, it presents a synthesis of domestic and international research, and summarizes the theoretical foundations and practical experiences essential for the future development of Southwest China’s ethnic regions. This paper examines four key elements for the development of ethnic regions in Southwest China. First, it emphasizes high-quality economic growth, which increases total factor productivity through supply-side structural reform and promotes the establishment of a modern industrial system. Second, social stability, a crucial component in realizing a better life, requires strengthening social justice and strengthening the social security system while maintaining national unity. Third, the paper stresses the importance of building an ecological civilization and advocates green technology, green industry and green consumption to achieve sustainable development. Finally, a people-centered development ideology safeguards livelihoods and focuses on education, income distribution, employment, and other areas. This paper explores the basic characteristics of coordinated economic and social progress in Southwest China’s ethnic regions, and provides a theoretical framework for scholars to explore balanced regional economic development.

In the past, there was a lot of traditional enterprises of a great success for a long time, but today, under the rapid development of the social economy, they have to change to cope better with the possibility of the problem, they must be in information technology and digital technology put more money on, they need to combine information technology and management activities. Agriculture is the basis of the sustainable development of the national economy, the necessary demand of human beings, and the basis of human survival. Therefore, the construction and application of information technology have become an important research topic in the new era. Through the research of this paper, we can understand better how to combine digital information technology with enterprise management. The current research applies such analyses as: logical generalization and сomparison that include clarifying and simplifying the concepts of digital technology and enterprise management; expert evaluation, statistical analysis, data grouping and summary aiming at the research on enterprise market situation, identification, and development of digital technology; factor comprehensive analysis as the method of improving efficiency and productivity by applying digital technology in management; and economic mathematical modeling competitiveness model analysis. The application of computer technology can make information digitization. All the information generated in the operation of enterprises, such as enterprise personnel files, enterprise customer resource information, business financial situation, etc., this huge information, if according to the traditional method, will undoubtedly need to consume more human, material, and financial resources, and low efficiency, increase the cost of work. If computer technology is used to process enterprise information, it will be faster and better to digitize information, facilitate information integration and improve work efficiency, and this information will be very easy to be invoked later, avoiding wasting time to search, and greatly saving human resources. The results analyzed and compared by the author are very useful for the empirical evaluation of the survival and development of Chinese enterprises and even the sustainable economic development of the whole country, and can also provide a reference for the future development and transformation of Chinese traditional enterprises. Based on this, the paper puts forward the methods, and the countermeasures of sustainable economic development in the face of the rapid economic development today. The method proposed by the author can achieve the following results: it can better promote the development of China's economy and can provide substantial help for the transformation of traditional enterprises.

Purpose. This research aims to quantify the willingness to pay (WTP) of urban residents in the Mekong Delta for the environmental and social benefits associated with renewable energy projects. By analysing their preferences and priorities regarding renewable energy implementation, this study aims to contribute to the increasing knowledge on the drivers of sustainable energy transitions in developing regions. Methodology / approach. This paper leverages a choice modeling (CM) framework to analyse the economic viability of renewable energy investments in Vietnam. The CM technique is advantageous for its ability to capture individual preferences for complex goods or services characterised by multiple attributes and trade-offs. This enables a detailed assessment of the diverse economic values associated with renewable energy sources, beyond their traditional energy generation capacity, including environmental externalities, social impacts, and potential synergies with other sectors. Results. Residents showed significant WTP for renewable energy initiatives improving landscape aesthetics, wildlife habitats, air quality, and job opportunities. Higher income, education, and knowledge level are positively associated with greater WTP. Younger respondents showed a strong position in favor of renewable energy sources. Households with more children were less likely to support the status quo, and married respondents were more pro-renewable. Perceived community involvement emerged as a significant factor in supporting renewable energy policies. Originality / scientific novelty. This study represents a novel application of CM within the Vietnamese context, providing valuable quantitative data for policymakers and stakeholders. By estimating WTP for specific renewable energy attributes, we inform cost-benefit assessments and support the development of efficient policies for managing renewable energy investments. This data facilitates resource allocation and prioritisation of projects with the highest societal value. Practical value / implications. Our findings underscore the crucial role of public awareness and education in driving renewable energy implementation. Residents with a clear understanding of the benefits demonstrate a higher WTP. Hence, we recommend a multifaceted communication strategy to educate the public about the environmental, social, and economic benefits of renewable energy. This involves utilising diverse channels like community meetings, media outreach, online platforms, and expert engagement to disseminate accurate and engaging information. By fostering knowledge and understanding, we can cultivate a strong public mandate for renewable energy investment, facilitating informed decision-making and accelerating the transition to a sustainable energy future in the Mekong Delta.

Theoretical concepts and applied possibilities concerning the feasibility of introducing resource-saving technologies in a construction company under the influence of an unstable market environment and limited resources are determined. The article considers the dependence of construction production on many factors of the external and internal environment: natural and climatic, engineering and geological, economic, suppliers, sub-suppliers. This leads to the existence of a variety of projected cost and time indicators for a given construction project. This is due to the impossibility of obtaining accurate information on the conditions of project implementation. In the authors’ opinion, the limited availability of raw materials and the threat of their depletion are the reason for the constant rational use of raw materials and the search for new energy sources. The authors argue that in an unstable market environment and with limited resources, introducing resource-saving technologies can have a significant economic impact. Economic benefits, reduction of negative impact on the environment, improvement of the company’s image and status are the main advantages of introducing such technologies. It is necessary to compare the economic benefits of implementing resource-saving technologies with the costs of their installation and operation in order to determine the economic feasibility constant. Economic benefits include increased productivity, reduced costs due to resource savings and improved product quality. Costs are related to the installation of new technology, replacement of equipment, staff training and other factors. Economic feasibility is an economic assessment that helps determine whether introducing resource-saving technologies is economically viable. It can help construction companies make decisions about investing in new technologies in the context of an unstable market environment and limited resources. The article gives examples of the use of cost-effective resource-saving technologies: the reconstruction of Maidan Nezalezhnosti (Independence Square) – the use of inventory shuttering in the complex use of softeners and chemical additives to concrete; the rationale for types of individual housing construction using recycled materials and the introduction of energy-saving technologies; the concept of “smart building”; the use of recycled materials such as bottles, paper, plastic and other materials in the construction of buildings. The article concludes that the use of resource-saving technologies can be an effective tool for ensuring the competitiveness and sustainable development of a construction company in an unstable market environment and with limited resources.

Purpose. The purpose of the study is to analyse and systematise the smart priorities of the territories of Central and Eastern Europe with a focus on the sustainable development of the agricultural sector and to identify current trends in the innovative development of agriculture. Methodology / approach. The main research method is benchmarking which includes identification, comparative analysis, generalisation and application of best practices in various fields of activity. The authors’ methodology of regional benchmarking has been tried out in the work. The methodology provides implementation of a set of scientific and analytical measures at the following stages: (1) mapping and identification of smart priorities in focal economic activities; (2) analysis of regional priorities according to the European goals of smart specialisation policy including the structure of their selection; (3) studying the content and goals of the regional priorities establishing cross-sectoral links; (4) examination of the exploit of established and emerging clusters in the regional smart specialisation with identification of their localisation and selected priority areas; (5) analysis of interregional cooperation in smart specialisation domains; (6) processing and formalisation of the obtained research results. Results. We identified and analysed 44 priorities involving the agricultural sector, which belongs to 12 Central and Eastern European countries. The dominant policy objectives of smart specialisation of these territories are Sustainable Innovation, Public Health & Security and Key Enabling Technologies, which are mainly focused on achieving sustainable agriculture, establishing bioeconomy and providing food security & safety. These smart specialisation domains at the national and sub-national levels clearly contribute to the attainment of the Sustainable Development Goals. Priorities were grouped according to their internal goals and content, which allowed identifying key trends of innovative development of the territories with the involvement of the agricultural sector. It is concluded that the regions combine knowledge and assets through the intensification of cross-sectoral, interregional cooperation and the use of clusters. We determined that cross-sectoral links within smart priorities are mostly formed within existing value chains, but recently, new cross-sectoral and interregional partnerships emerge and actively develop. They are mainly focused on the diffusion of innovative bio- and digital technologies in agro-food systems. We highlighted the key issues that need to be addressed by regional working groups while selecting the smart priorities of the Ukraine’s regions. Originality / scientific novelty. This paper presents the results of the thematic research in a new understudied direction – Smart Specialisation Strategies for Sustainability. Based on the authors’ methodology of regional benchmarking, the smart priorities in the agricultural sector of Central and Eastern European countries have been analysed. Practical value / implications. The results of the study can be used by regional working groups of the Entrepreneurial discovery process to draw up possible ways of agricultural development. The obtained results may also be of interest to researchers from different countries involved in the implementation of smart specialisation approach and the improvement of its methodology.

The article focuses on the state program-targeted strategic management of regional development, which is proposed to be considered in the form of a management cycle that ensures consistent interaction of the development program, which aims at qualitative changes in the socio-economic system, and program-targeted budgeting. the object of public administration - the executive branch - to these transformations. The domestic experience of state management of regional development is considered. It is established that since the early 1990s in Ukraine, the budget process becomes the main tool for the state to implement planned functions. Given the high degree of centralization of budget and tax powers, as well as low budget security of most domestic regions, the state regional policy is mainly to equalize the levels of socio-economic development. However, as a review of research papers on regional research has shown, the policy of the center, implemented through intergovernmental transfers, does not have a significant impact on the socio-economic development of the regions of Ukraine. It is consistently revealed that with the help of such interaction a very important institutional function of the regional development program is realized, which consists not only in achieving, but also in further regular reproduction of its results. It is substantiated that tax decentralization is an essential condition for creating a platform for effective solvency of regions and local self-government, sustainable economic and social development of territorial communities, quality and efficient provision of public services to their residents. The basic provisions have been developed that the successful implementation of expenditure obligations of local budgets in the current conditions of tax decentralization requires further reform of the budget process and fiscal system, which will allow for predictability of financial resources of local governments.

The increased interest in the conception of circular economy is caused by predictable advantages in the context of sustainable development. However, the generally accepted monitoring system does not exist, and the scientific world relies on a significant number of approaches to measuring the efficiency of circular economy strategies. This is caused by the introduction of circular economy principles at the level of current regulations in the policy of China, Africa, the European Union and the United States. Accordingly, the studied list of indicators that allow to evaluate its efficiency is quite wide and takes into account the development peculiarities of both economy and its sectors. Of particular interest to this study is the agrarian sector. The analysis of scientific papers allowed to distinguish in the agricultural sector strategies for narrowing, closure and recovery of resource cycles, the evaluation of which requires appropriate indicator systems in the context of various dimensions of sustainable development. Efficient strategies of circular economy in agriculture can potentially include a set of indicators that are able to assess the level of impact of production on the environment, take into account social aspects, determine the level of informatization, material capacity and energy capacity of products. As a result of the research, an overview of the existing systems of indicators of circular economy in the agrarian sector was carried out, which were divided according to strategies for narrowing, closure and recovery of resource cycles in the context of technical, ecological, economic and social dimensions of sustainability. Further researches are related to the review of existing business models of agricultural enterprises, referred to the indicators based on circular economy strategies and measurements of sustainable development.

Purpose. The purpose of this paper was to determine motivational factors of structural changes in the agro-industrial sector of Ukraine, which will strengthen the ability of business entities to generate larger added value flows and increase efficiency through the development of strategic network partnerships. Methodology / approach. While writing the article the following methods were used: methods of economic and statistical analysis – to study the dynamic of indicators that reflect the results of sectoral structural changes of the enterprises’ activities in the sector of agriculture, forestry and fisheries of Ukraine during 2016–2019; critical analysis – to identify shortcomings in the legislative field of Ukraine, which deform motivational vectors, negatively affect the development of agro-industrial complex; morphological analysis and synthesis – to prove the feasibility of interpreting the term “network capital” in a narrow and broad sense; scientific abstraction and graphic visualization – to build the model of formation of network capital and use in the processes of organizational interaction of participants in a strategic business partnership; mathematical modelling – to formalize the conditions under which the network partnership participants will avoid manipulation by the expert environment in the apportionment of the costs and revenues from the implementation of business projects. Results. It has been studied the dynamic of indicators that reflect the results of the sectoral and structural changes in activities of Ukrainian enterprises in the agriculture, forestry, and fisheries sector during 2016–2019. It has been highlighted shortcomings in the legislative field of Ukraine, which distort the vectors of motivational influence on the development of agro-industrial complex, causing the corruption schemes spread in the decisions and actions of economic agents. The essential content of the term “network capital” in a narrow and broad interpretation has been differentiated and the motivational basis for its increase by the business network participants has been highlighted. The processes of formation and use of network capital in the inter-organizational interaction of participants of strategic business partnership have been modelled. Nash equilibrium theory has been applied to increase the reliability of the position assessment of business network participants in the total costs and revenues apportionment and it has been proved that this forms the motivational basis for long-term cooperation. Originality / scientific novelty. The author’s interpretation of the term “network capital” in a broad and narrow sense with emphasis on motivational aspects of this capital increasing in the agro-industrial business network has been proposed. The model of network capital formation and use in the processes of organizational interaction of participants in a strategic business partnership has been constructed. There have been modelled the conditions under which the participants of the network partnership will avoid manipulation by the expert environment in the apportionment processes of costs and revenues from the business projects implementation, which will improve their motivation to cooperate. Practical value / implications. The main results of the study can be used for (i) elimination of some gaps in the institutional environment of Ukraine, which distort the motivational vectors of agricultural development; (ii) managing growth processes of network capital to increase the aggregate ability of business network participants to create new consumer value with high added value; (iii) improving the motivational basis for long-term cooperation of business network participants by increasing the reliability of their positions assessment in the total costs and revenues apportionment.

The snowballing economic growth has reached the level where the energy industry has a crucial impact on the future pace of development. National energy security influences the adequate performance of all economic spheres and stable government processes. Systematization of the relevant scientific treatises showed that comprehensive national energy security assessment involves institutional, ecological, and behavioral determinants as crucial pillars of national energy security. Besides, the financial conditions play a pivotal role in ensuring national energy security since the undisturbed operations in the energy industry require investing in equipment modernization, implementing modern technologies and innovations, research and development, etc. Under the above mentioned, the scholars worldwide consider the financial determinants under elaborating on the improvements of national energy security. This study aims to interpret and visualize the bibliometric data of the scientific background related to exploring the role of financial determinants in national energy security. The bibliometric data for analysis were retrieved from the Scopus, and Web of Science interdisciplinary bibliographic databases. The collected data cover 770 publications indexed by the keywords: 'energy', 'security, and 'finance' in the titles, keywords, and abstracts of publications. The publication period covers 2000-2021. The VOSviewer software, Scopus and Web of Science toolkits for search results analysis were applied. The procedures of bibliographic analysis employed evaluative and relational techniques. The obtained results revealed publication activity's annual and relative growth rates, the main research directions by term co-occurrence, co-authorship, citation network, the most productive authors, journals, affiliations, and the geographical distribution of analyzed papers. The findings of this study give the theoretical contributions to the further development of the comprehensive assessment model of national energy security toward the carbon-free economy.

Purpose: To substantiate the place and role of the responsible investment in the structure of the stock exchange market. Methods: Structure-functional in order to form an idea of the structure of the stock exchange market, determining the place and role of responsible investment elements in the stock market organization; systematic analysis to identify current trends and patterns in the functioning of the socially responsible investment segment by geographical regions of the world; statistical and graphical methods for quantitative and visual presentation of the results of the stock market sectors analysis, represented by responsible investment elements. Findings: The definition of «responsible investment» and «stock market» has been clarified; a number of subjects, objects and forms of responsible investment, which are elements of the stock market, are singled out and substantiated; the generalization of activities of stock exchanges in the field of responsible investing is carried out; the dynamics of stock market sector indicators, which are represented by elements of responsible investment, are analyzed; key reporting standards used by stock exchanges in disclosing ESG issues are analyzed. Theoretical Implications: A comprehensive assessment of the functioning of socially responsible investment segment as part of the stock market is carried out, the place and role of responsible investing in the stock market structure are substantiated, which creates a basis for the development of effective measures to increase the stock market efficiency of Ukraine and its transformation into an effective and stable source of investment resources. Future Research: The results can be used in the context of further study of the stock market transformation in Ukraine on the basis of a socially responsible trajectory and fractal analysis. Purpose: To test the hypothesis of the relationship between the degree of business greening on the basis of a circular economy and indicators that determine the level of international tourism attractiveness of European countries in the context of sustainable tourism. Findings: The author puts forward a hypothesis about the existence of a stable relationship between the business greening degree, which based on the principles of a circular economy, and the level of tourist attractiveness of the country. Based on the analysis of the basic provisions of the circular economy concept and the principles of sustainable development, the author provides a theoretical substantiation of this relationship. The author testes the hypothesis by clustering European countries according to the Environmental Performance Index and, based on correlation analysis, determines a close relationship between economic and environmental indicators within each of the clusters. Calculations show that in some regions of Europe there is a positive impact of the spread of the circular economy on the intensification of migration flows to the country. Practical Implications: The results of the research can be used in the practice of international companies when justifying the feasibility of investments in circular projects and programs for the transition to environmental development of territories, as well as for public administration in the development of a positive tourist image of the country. Originality/Value: For the first time, the author proposes a methodological approach to assessing the tourist attractiveness of a country in the context of business greening based on a circular economy. Future Research: Image-making of territories based on a circular economy, systematization of world experience in tourist consumption greening, the formation of tourist clusters in countries with a high level of development of the circular economy.
