Popüler aşk romanları, edebiyat sahasında uzun süre `kadınsı eğlence` için kurgulanmış ucuz kurgular olarak ele alınsa da toplumsal gelişmelerin özellikle kadınlar için ne ifade ettiğine dair fikir veren, toplumsal cinsiyet rejimini etkileyen kültür ürünleridir. Bu çalışmada, çevrimiçi ortamda hikâye üretme ve yayınlama imkânı sunan Wattpad adlı uygulamada muhafazakâr genç kadınların ürettikleri aşk romanlarını, yeni muhafazakârlık ve toplumsal cinsiyet kurguları açısından feminist edebiyat eleştirisi yöntemiyle değerlendirdik. Özellikle 1970 sonrası ortaya çıkan hidayet romanlarındaki muhafazakârlıkla günümüz Wattpad romanlarındaki muhafazakârlığı karşılaştırarak hidayetin dönüşümünü anlamaya çalıştık. Bu anlamda neoliberalizmle yeni muhafazakârlığın ittifakının bir yansıması olarak Wattpad romanslarında din ve kapitalist tüketim alışkanlıklarının iç içe geçtiğini; bir yandan namaz, kurban kesme, camiye gitme gibi dini ritüeller tasvir edilirken diğer yandan lüks villaların, son model arabaların, zengin ve çeşitli kıyafet betimlemelerinin, kısaca üst sınıf bir hayat tarzının arzu edilir şekilde temsil edildiğini gözlemledik. Wattpad romanslarındaki ideal erkeğin eğitiminin önemsiz olduğunu; düşünsel ya da sanatsal yeteneklerinden çok beden gücünün ve cinsel anlamda çekici fiziksel görünümünün ön plana çıkarıldığını; işkenceye varan şiddet gösterilerinin meşru görüldüğü bir hegemonik erkeklik inşasının asker, polis, özel harekât ve holding sahibi erkekler üzerinden kurgulandığını gözlemledik. Wattpad romanlarında gençler, eğitim ya da meslek sahibi olmanın, zenginlik için yeterli olamayacağını; köklü bir aile mirası yahut karanlık mafyatik bağlantılar olmaksızın refah bir hayat sürmenin mümkün olmadığını düşünmektedir. Özellikle genç kadınlar için bu durum, `bir holdingin tek varisi` ya da `mafya` bir genç erkekle evlenmenin kurtuluş olarak görülmesine neden olmaktadır. Üstelik mafyatik şiddet, meşru görülmekte; çeteleşme, adaletin temini için tek yol olarak kabullenilmektedir. Aşk hikâyelerinin, özellikle asker, polis ve mafyatik erkekliğin idealize edildiği ve kurgu içinde milliyetçi muhafazakâr söylemin önemli bir yer tuttuğu popüler edebiyat ürünleri olması, 21. yüzyılın duygu temelli, dış tehditlere karşı öfke, korku ve nefret gibi hislere odaklanan yeni muhafazakâr söyleminin bir sonucu olarak okunabilir. Even though popular romance novels have long been considered as cheap fiction for `feminine entertainment` in the field of literature, they are cultural products that give an idea about what social developments mean especially for women and also affect the gender regime. In this study, we evaluated the romances produced by conservative young women in the Wattpad application, which offers the opportunity to produce and publish stories online, with the method of feminist literary criticism in terms of neoconservatism and gender construction. In particular, we tried to understand the transformation of `hidayet` (the right way) by comparing the conservatism in the `hidayet` (right way) novels that emerged after 1980 with the conservatism of today's Wattpad novels. In this sense, in Wattpad romances, religion and capitalist consumption habits are intertwined as a reflection of the alliance of neoliberalism and neoconservatism. On the one hand, religious rituals such as prayer, sacrifice and going to the mosque were depicted; on the other hand, we observed that luxury villas, top model cars, rich and varied descriptions of clothes, in short, a high-class lifestyle were desirable. The education of the ideal man in Wattpad romances is insignificant; his body strength and sexually attractive physical appearance are emphasized rather than his intellectual or artistic abilities. We have observed that the construction of hegemonic masculinity where act of violence up to torture are seen as legitimate, is constructed through male characters as soldiers, police, special operation force and the owner of a holding. In Wattpad novels, adolescents say that having an education or a profession cannot be enough for wealth; it is also impossible to lead a life of prosperity without long-established family legacy or dark mafiotic connections. Especially for young women, this situation leads to the fact that marrying a `sole heir of a holding` or a `mafia` young man is seen as salvation. Moreover, mob violence is seen as legitimate, becoming a gang is the only way to ensure justice. The fact that love stories are popular literary works in which military, police and mafiotic masculinity are idealized and nationalist conservative discourse occupies an important place in fiction, as a result of the neoconservative discourse of the 21st century by focusing on emotions such as anger, fear and hate against external threat. 254

Araştırmamızın ana unsuru olan Wattpad, 2006 yılında geliştirilmiş bir kitap okuma uygulamasıdır. Ülkemizde ve dünyada çoğunlukla çocuk ve gençler tarafından tercih edilen Wattpad uygulamasında, kullanıcılar özgün hikâyelerini bölüm bölüm yayınlamaktadır. Ülkemizde 2015 yılından itibaren, Wattpad'deki kullanıcılar tarafından ilgi gören hikâyeler kitap olarak basılmaktadır. Wattpad'de milyonlarca kez görüntülenen hikâyeler, kitap olarak basıldıklarında onlarca baskı yapmaktadır. Wattpad aracılığıyla basılan kitaplardan bazıları ise film veya dizi olarak çekilmektedir. Araştırmanın amacı, yüksek baskı sayılarına ulaşan Wattpad kitaplarının içeriklerini, dinî ve ahlâkî unsurlar açısından incelemektir. Araştırma içerik analizi yöntemi kullanılarak yapılmıştır. Araştırma için dini ve ahlaki unsurlara yönelik ana ve alt kategorilerden oluşan bir kodlama kılavuzu geliştirilmiş, uygulama sırasında gerekli görülen yerlerde kılavuza ekleme ve çıkarmalar yapılmıştır. Araştırmada en yüksek baskı sayısına sahip 15 Wattpad kitabından 5'i dini ve ahlaki unsurlar açısından içerik analizi yöntemiyle incelenmiştir. Buna göre, Wattpad kitaplarının çoğunlukla olumsuz ahlaki unsurlar içeren metinler olduğu tespit edilmiştir. İnanca yönelik dini unsurlar, ibadetlere yönelik dini unsurlar ve olumlu ahlaki unsurların, Wattpad kitaplarında son derece az tekrar ettiği gözlenmiştir. Wattpad, which is the main element of our research, is a book reading application developed in 2006. In Wattpad application, which is mostly preferred by children and young people in our country and in the world, users publish their original stories section by section. The stories that readers are interested in Wattpad have been published as books in our country since 2015. Stories viewed millions of times on Wattpad make dozens of prints when printed as books. Some of those books are turned into movies or series. The aim of the research is to examine the contents of Wattpad books, which reach high numbers of prints, in terms of religious and moral aspects. The research is carried out by using the content analysis method. A coding guideline consisting of main and sub-categories for religious and moral elements has been developed for the research. When needed during the examination, some additions and deletions have been done in the guideline. In the research, 5 of the 15 Wattpad books with the highest number of prints were examined by content analysis method in terms of religious and moral factors. Accordingly, it has been found that Wattpad books are mostly texts with negative moral elements. Religious elements of faith, religious elements of worship and positive moral elements are observed to be extremely rare in Wattpad books.

Bu çalışmanın amacı, Web 2.0 araçlarından Wattpad uygulamasında çocuk kitabı hazırlama deneyiminin okul öncesi öğretmen adaylarının okuma ve yazmaya yönelik tutumlarını ve bilgi-iletişim teknolojilerine yönelik yeterlilik algılarını belirlemektir. Araştırmada nicel ve nitel araştırma yöntemleri kullanılmıştır. Çalışma 2018-2019 eğitim öğretim yılı güz döneminde çocuk edebiyatı dersi kapsamında 83 okul öncesi öğretmen adayı ile gerçekleştirilmiştir. Çalışmada, Wattpad uygulamasının öğretmen adaylarının okumaya ve yazmaya ilişkin tutumlarını olumlu yönde geliştirmiş olduğu görülmüştür. Wattpad uygulaması kullanarak fazla sayıda kitap okuyan ve yazanların okumaya; fazla sayıda kitap yazanların yazmaya ilişkin olumlu tutum geliştirdikleri; BİT yeterlilik algılarının iyi düzeyde olduğu sonucu elde edilmiştir. Araştırmanın nitel boyutunda öğretmen adayları okumaya yönelik olumlu bakış açısı geliştirdiklerini, çalışmayı faydalı, güzel, ilgi çekici, zevkli bulduklarını, yeni hikâyeler keşfettiklerini, uygulamanın küçük yaştan okuma alışkanlığı kazandırdığını dolayısıyla okumayı artırdığını ancak tüketimi de artırdığını dile getirmişlerdir., The aim of this study is to determine on the reading-writing attitudes and the information-communication tech-nologies competency perception of the preschool preservice teachers who experience in writing the children’s book on Wattpad application which is one of Web 2.0 tools. The study was made with 83 preschool preservice teachers within the scope of children’s literature course in the fall term of 2018-2019 academic year. At the study, it was seen that Wattpad application developed positively on the pre-service teachers’ attitudes related to the reading and writ-ing. It was concluded with the use of Wattpad application that those who write and read many books developed a positive atttude to read and write many books. It was deter-mined that their ICT competency perceptions are at the good level. It was mentioned in the study’s qualitative as-pect that the preservice teachers develop a positive view-point related to read, it is beneficial, nice, interesting and pleasant, they discover the new stories, the application provides the reading habit from the small ages so it in-crease the reading but the consumption.

Geleneksel anlatılardaki kahramanların popüler romanlardaki dönüşümünün üç Wattpad romanındaki kötü erkek ve masum kız tipleri üzerinden incelendiği bu çalışmada,kahramanın dönüşümü siyasi, sosyal, fikri ve ekonomik bağlamında değerlendirilmiş ve bireyleşmiş roman kahramanının yeniden tipleşmeye başlayışı bu doğrultuda açıklanmaya çalışılmıştır. Antik Yunan'daki geleneksel anlatı kahramanlarının modern zamanlarda roman kahramanına dönüşümünde din ve mitoloji temelli ideal tasavvurundaki parçalanmanın köklü bir etkisi olduğu sonucuna ulaşılmıştır. Mutlak değerlerin yitirilişi bütüncül yapının bozulmasına sebep olmuş ve bireyselleşmenin önünü açmıştır. Bireyselleşen kahraman ise artık geleneksel anlatılardaki kahramanların aksine kendi mutluluğunu hedeflemiş ve bu amacına ulaşabilmek için olumsuz davranışlardan kaçınmamıştır. Bu doğrultuda popüler roman kahramanları da her ne kadar geleneksel anlatı kahramanları gibi tipleşmiş olsalar da bir ideal tasavvurundan yoksun oluşları ve benmerkezci karakterleri sebebiyle farklılıklar gösterirler. This work examines the transformation of heroes of taditional narratives into those of popular novel as observed in the bad-boy and innocent- girl character types of three Watpadd novels, as well as the transformation of the hero of the individualized novel and the begining of its subsequent standardization in the context of the political, the social, the espistomological/intellectual and the economic. The disintegration of the ideal description of the hero being one based in religion and mythology had a radical impact on the transformation of the hero from the traditional narratives of Greek antiquity into that of modern narratives. The disintegration of absolute values caused the deformation of the holistic construction and paved the way for individualization. İn complete contrast to the heroes of traditional narratives, the individualized hero's main aim is his own happiness and negative/unethical actions are never avoided in the quest to obtain it. Though like the heroes of traditional narratives those of popular novels have also become standard in their own right, they differ in so far as they lack the ideal description of the former and are also self-centered characters. 119

Bu araştırmanın amacı bir ekran okuma örneği olan Wattpad'de bulunan kitapları metinde bulunması gereken özellikler açısından değerlendirmektir. Araştırmalara göre Türkiye'de okuma alışkanlığının zayıf olduğu belirtilirken ekran okuma örneği olan Wattpad'de bulunan kitapların milyonlarca kez okunduğu tespit edilmiştir. Bu durum gençlerin ne kadar okuduğu probleminden ziyade nasıl kitaplar okuduğu problemini ortaya çıkarmaktadır. Bu bağlamda Wattpad kitaplarının içeriklerini araştırmak önem arz etmiştir. Çalışmada nitel araştırma yöntemlerinden doküman incelemesi tekniği kullanılmıştır. Wattpad'de bulunan 21 bölüm içerisinden sadece kurmaca metin olanlara yer verilmiştir. Kurmaca metinler arasından da kısa hikâyelerden oluşanlar alınmamış, kendi içinde bütünlük arz eden kitaplar arasından en çok okunan on kitap belirlenmiştir. Kitaplar incelenirken olay örgüsü-vaka, şahıs kadrosu, mekân, zaman, bakış açısı-anlatıcı, dil ve üslup, mesaj kategorileri belirlenmiş; ardından kitaplar doküman inceleme tekniği ile taranarak bu kategorilerle ilgili fişlemeler yapılmıştır. Her bir kategoride içerik analizi yapılmış ve ilgili kısımda doğrudan alıntılara yer verilmiştir. Araştırma sonunda kitap kahramanlarında alkol, uyuşturucu kullanmak gibi olumsuz davranışlara rastlanılmış, kitapların dil ve üslubunda argo ve küfür içerikli sözcükler saptanmıştır. En çok okunan on kitaptan dokuzu edebî dilden uzak konuşma diliyle yazılmıştır. Mekân olarak kumarhane, bar gibi mekânlar mevcuttur. Kitaplarda `Sosyal projelerde çalışmak, insanlara yardım etmek insanları mutlu eder.` gibi olumlu mesajların yanında `Suçlunun cezasını vermek adına adam öldürmek, işkence etmek doğrudur.` gibi olumsuz mesajlar da bulunmaktadır. Araştırma sonunda çok okunan Wattpad kitaplarının metnin taşıması gereken özelliklere göre son çocukluk ve ilk gençlik çağındaki öğrencilere uygun olmadığı sonucuna varılmıştır.Anahtar Kelimeler: Ekran Okuma, Wattpad, Metin İnceleme. The aim of this research is to evaluate the textbooks in Wattpad, a screen-reading example, in terms of features that should be found in the text. According to research, it is stated that the reading habits is poor in Turkey and the books on Wattpad, a screen-reading example, were read millîons of times. This situation reveals the problem of what kind of books they read rather than the problem that how much book young people read. In this context, it is important to investigate the contents of Wattpad books.In the study, document review technique which is one of the qualitative research methods, were used. Only the fictional texts are included in the 21 chapters in Wattpad. Among the fictional texts, short stories are not taken, only ten books which are read most among the books that have integrity in themselves are determined. When the books were examined, the events, language and style, and message categories were identified, and then the books were scanned with the document review technique and the related tags were made. Content analysis has been done in each category and a direct citation has been given in the relevant section.At the end of the research, book heroes were found to have negative behaviors such as alcohol and drugs, and in the language and style of the books, slang and cursive words were found. Nine of the top ten most read books were written in verbally distant language. The places used are casinos and bars. In the books, there are positive messages such as `Working in social projects and helping people make people happy` as well as negative messages such as `It is fair to commit murder and torture in order to punish criminals.` At the end of the study, it can be inferred that Wattpad books, which are widely read, that the text is not suitable for the last childhood and the first youth according to the properties that the text should carry.Keywords: Screen Reading, Wattpad, Text Review. 179

Bu araştırmada ortaokul öğrencilerinin dijital okuma ve yazma sitesi Wattpad'i kullanma alışkanlıkları ile Wattpad'in ortaokul öğrencilerinin okuma ve yazma öz yeterliklerine etkisi incelenmeye çalışılmıştır. Araştırmada belirlenen amaca ulaşmak için nitel araştırma yöntemlerinden ilişkisel tarama yöntemi kullanılmıştır. İlişkisel tarama modeli iki veya daha fazla değişken arasında birlikte değişim varlığını, derecesini tespit etmeyi hedeflemektedir. Araştırma, MEB'e bağlı Bitlis il merkezinde bulunan ve Wattpad'in yaygın olarak kullanıldığı tespit edilen `100. Yıl Atatürk Ortaokulu, `Selahaddin Eyyübi Ortaokulu` ve `Şehit Mahir Ayabak Ortaokulu`nda 2016-2017 eğitim-öğretim yılının ikinci döneminde gerçekleştirilmiştir. Araştırmada öncelikle Wattpad kullandığı tespit edilen 60 ortaokul öğrencisine `Kişisel Bilgi Formu` uygulanmış. `Kişisel Bilgi Formu`ndan elde edilen veriler incelenerek Türkçe ders notu ortalaması, cinsiyet ve sınıf seviyesi denk tutulmaya çalışılarak Wattpad kullanmayan 60 ortaokul öğrencisi belirlenmiştir. Araştırmada veri toplama aracı olarak `Kişisel Bilgi Formu`, `Okur Öz Yeterlik Ölçeği` ve `Yazma Öz Yeterlik Ölçek` inden yararlanılmıştır. Araştırmada verilerin analizinde SPSS 24 for Mac kullanılmıştır. Çalışma verileri değerlendirilirken tanımlayıcı istatistiksel metodları (Ortalama, Standart sapma, frekans) kullanılmıştır. Cinsiyet ve Wattpad kullanım durumunun bağımsız değişken olduğu karşılaştırmalarda iki yönlü ANOVA ve iki yönlü MANOVA, farkın hangi gruplardan kaynaklandığının tespitinde Post-Hoc test olarak Bonferroni testi, niteliksel verilerin karşılaştırılmasında Ki-Kare testi, nitel ve nicel ilişkilerin değerlendirilmesinde normal dağılım gösteren verilerde Pearson Momentler Çarpımı Korelasyon Katsayısı ve normal dağılmayan verilerin karşılaştırılmasında ise Sperarman's rho kullanılmıştır.Araştırma sonucunda elde edilen bulgulara göre Wattpad'den kitap okuyan ve yazan ortaokul öğrencilerinin bu siteyi kullanım alışkanlıklarına yönelik olarak Wattpad'i kullanan kız öğrencilerin sayısının erkek öğrencilerden fazla olduğu, Wattpad'i okuma ve yazma amacıyla kullanan ortaokul öğrencilerinin büyük bir bölümünün bu siteyi arkadaşı vasıtasıyla tanıdığı, bu sitede günlük bir saat geçirdiği, bu siteye erişimi en çok cep telefonuyla sağladığı, mekân olarak genellikle evde bu siteyi kullandığı, Wattpad katılımcıların tamamının bu siteyi kitap okuma amacıyla kullandığı, bir bölümünün de hem okuma hem de yazma amacıyla kullandığı, öğrencilerin en çok macera türündeki kitapları okumayı tercih ettikleri, genç kurgu türünde kitap okuyan kız katılımcıların oranının erkek katılımcılardan yüksek olduğu tespit edilmiştir. Öğrencilerin Wattpad'de geçirdikleri vakit ile okur öz yeterlikleri ve yazma öz yeterlikleri arasında bir ilişki bulunmadığı, Wattpad sitesini kullanan ortaokul öğrencileri ile kullanmayan ortaokul öğrencilerinin okur ve yazma öz yeterliklerinin karşılaştırılması sonucunda iki grup arasında ve cinsiyetler arasında bir ilişki bulunmadığı, her iki grubun da okuma ve yazma öz yeterlik sonuçlarının iyi düzeyde ve birbirine yakın çıktığı, Wattpad'den kitap okuyan ortaokul öğrencilerinin anne-baba eğitim düzeyi dijital ortamdan kitap okumayan ortaokul öğrencilerinin anne-baba eğitim düzeyinden anlamlı derece yüksek çıktığı sonucuna ulaşılmıştır. Anahtar Kelimeler: Wattpad, dijital okuma, dijital yazma, öz yeterlik In this study, it was tried to examine the habits of middle school students' use of Wattpad, a digital reading and writing site, and the effect of Wattpad on middle school students' reading and writing self-efficacy.Relational Screening Method, one of the qualitative research methods, was used in order to achieve the purpose determined in the research. The Relational Screening Model aims at determining the covariance existence and its degree between two or more variables. The study was carried out in the second semester of 2016-2017 academic year, in `100th Anniversary Atatürk Secondary School`, `Salahaddin Eyyübi Secondary School` and `Mahir Ayabak Secondary School`, located in the Bitlis City Center, which is connected to MEB, and in which it's been determined that Wattpad is widely used. In the study, `Personal Information Form` was applied to 60 middle school students who were found to use Wattpad first and by evaluating the data collected from the `Personal Information Form`, 60 middle school students who do not use Wattpad were determined by trying to equate Turkish grade point average, gender and grade level. In the research, `Personal Information Form`, `Reader's Self-Efficacy Scale` and `Writing Self-Efficacy Scale` were used as data collection tool and SPSS 24 for Mac was used in the analysis of the data. Descriptive statistical methods(average, standard deviation, frequency) were used when study data were evaluated. Two-way ANOVA and two-way MANOVA in comparison of gender and Wattpad use status as independent variables; Bonferroni test as Post-Hoc test in determining which group the difference originated from; Ki-Square test as comparison of qualitative data; Pearson Moments Multiplication Correlation Coefficient in normal distribution of data in the evaluation of qualitative and quantitative relations; Sperarman's rho was used to compare normal non-dispersed data.According to the findings obtained in the research, it was ascertained that the number of female students using Wattpad is higher than that of male students for secondary school students reading and writing books on Wattpad; and the majority of middle school students using Wattpad for reading and writing meet this site through their friends and spend an hour per day on this site; have access to this site mostly via mobile phones; use this site at home generally as a venue, entire Wattpad participants use this site for reading, and some of the Wattpad participants also use it for both reading and writing; students prefer to read adventure books most, and it was determined that the ratio of female participants who read books in the type of young fiction was higher than male participants. It's been found that there is no relationship between the time spent by students in Wattpad and the readers' self-efficacy and writing self-efficacy; as a result of comparing the literacy and the writing self-efficacy of the middle school students who use the Wattpad site and those who do not use it, there is no relationship between the two groups and the genders; reading and writing self-efficacy results of both of the two groups were at a good level and close to each other; the education level of the parents of middle school students who read books from Wattpad was significantly higher than that of the parents of middle school students who do not read books in digital environment.Keywords: Wattpad, digital reading, digital writing, self-efficacy 131
