Bases of research: The present study focuses on the school as an organization. Schools offer life-preparatory education to children, the future members of a society, until they are old enough to participate effectively in the society. Thus, schools are a tool for supporting the development and socialization of individuals. The present study developed a new program by assuming that teachers would be more passionate and creative and their organizational depression would decrease if they learned to see themselves, their lives and environment in a new light and diversified their interests. Purpose of research: The aim of this research is to examine the effect of hobby therapy practice, which is integrated with cognitive-behavioral approach, on organization depression of an education institution. Method: In the study pretest-posttest experimental control group design was used. The permission was obtained to conduct the experimental study in two schools in Ankara. Which school would be experimental or control group was determined at randomly. The six-week hobby therapy practice, which is integrated with cognitive-behavioral approach, was applied to the experimental group and the knowledge on class management was given to the control group for three weeks. The experimental group consisted of 22 teachers while the control group consisted of 20 teachers. The findings were examined using the variance analysis for mixed design. Results and Conclusions: In conclusion, hobby therapy practice, which is integrated with cognitive-behavioral approach is effective in reducing depression level and its effect lasted after two months. The ODS was applied before and after the study and also was applied to all two groups after two months.The findings were discussed considering the literature on cognitive-behavioral approach and on effects of hobby therapy practice on depression and organisation depression. Suggestions:Researchers can develop similar programs for different vocational groups, hobby threapy available for different problems and groups, the effects of cognitive behavioral approaches and hobiterapi can be tested separately, experimental researchs with teachers can be made in different subjects, descriptive studies can be done about the organization depression etc. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Status of Problem: Peer helping is simply defined as the help of a friend to another friend. With this intervention, which considers that peers are mostly affected by each other, it aims to support the helping services which are inadequate to cope with the increasing and changing problems of these days. Purpose of the Study: The aims of this study was to analyze the effectiveness of peer helping intervention on comprehensive guidance program, students and peer helpers at the second grade in primary school. Method of the Study: This study carried out with the second grade students of Balıkesir Karesi Primary School. In research the roles of peer helping special friends and special assistant were used. Twenty students are selected according to their voluntaries, the advices of peers and teachers; and they are trained for two months (30 hours) and then they brought service to 370 peers. In the research, qualitative and quantitative research designs were used together. To collect quantitative data Personality Designment Inventory, Social Skills Graduation Scale, Empathy Scale for Children, and questionnaire; to collect quantitative data, observations and document analyses were used. For quantitative data analyses for pre-last test Wilcoxon Signed Rank Test was used. Frequency and percentiles of the gathered questionnaire data were calculated. As for the qualitative data analysis, a descriptional content analysis was made. Qualitative data was analyzed under theme which two main and seven inferior main. Finding and Conclusions: It was found that the peer helping interference is contributed to the Karesi Primary School's comprehensive guidance program and to the students who get service. Even though the pretests and the last tests didn't to evaluate the advantages of peer helping intervention to the peer helpers shows no significant differences, the observation and document analysis results show that it is effective for peer helpers. Yöntem: Araştırmanın çalışma grubunu, 4-6 yaş aralığındaki çocuklardan okul öncesine devam edenler oluşturmaktadır. İstanbul’da bulunan özel ve devlet okullarından 60 okul öncesi çağındaki çocuk çalışmaya alınmıştır. Araştırmanın tüm verileri Sosyodemografik Özellikler ve Bilgi Formu, Okul Öncesi Öz Düzenleme Ölçeği ve Güvenli Yer Senaryoları Testi ile toplanmıştır. Verilerin analizinde Güvenli Bağlanma Düzeyi ve Duygu Düzenleme Becerisi arasındaki ilişkiyi ölçmek için Pearson analizi duygu düzenleme becerileri ve bağlanma stilleri arasındaki ilişkiyi test etmek için bağımsız T testi ve diğer bağımsız değişkenlerin bağlanma stilleri sınıflamasına göre ilişkisini incelemek için ki kare analizi uygulanmıştır.
