Carbon, which is known to play a improvement role on the superconductivity properties of MgB2, was doped into MgB2 by CVD (chemical vapor deposition) method, and the change of structural and magnetic properties observed in MgB2 in relation to the change of reaction temperature was investigated. In this context, in the sample preparation step, amorphous nano boron powders with carbon added by chemical vapor deposition method were mixed with magnesium powders at certain mass ratios and sintered at four different temperatures (700-800- 900-1000 0C) with the classical solid state reaction method and converted into carbon-added MgB2 samples. SEM photographs of amorphous nano-boron powders with carbon added were taken and subjected to elemental analysis. The structural and magnetic properties of the samples obtained were examined. X-ray diffraction graph, magnetization values and Magnetic Field-Magnetic Moment (M-H) graphs of the samples obtained by XRD method and the critical current density values with Bean Method were found and Magnetic Field-Critical Current Density (Jc-H) graph was created. It was determined that, in all the samples obtained, the MgB2 superconductor structure was formed and the carbon structures included in the structure caused changes in the lattice parameters due to the ion radius difference, that fracture occurred in the magnetization curve of the sample prepared by sintered at 1000 0C due to the intense impurities caused by the phase transitions due to the high temperature, in samples prepared at low temperatures, and that magnetization curves that could not expand sufficiently were observed, flux jumping occurs in the magnetization curve and this also affected the critical current density. In addition, the change in the critical current density value from 7.0x103 A/cm2 to 2.8x104 A/cm2 showed that the reaction temperature was an effective parameter on the experimental results. As a result of the examinations, when compared between the 4 different sintering temperature values used, it was found that the sintering temperature of 900 0C was the temperature at which the best physical results were obtained in MgB2.

Kobalt, nikel ve CoNi alaşım ince film kaplamalar elektrodepolama yöntemiyle elektrolit içerisindeki kobalt ve nikel madde miktarı oranları değiştirilerek alüminyum altlıklar üzerine depolandı. Üretime etki eden pH, sıcaklık, üretim süresi, üretim akımı, karıştırma gibi parametreler sabit alındı. Yapısal ve manyetik özelliklerin bulunması için, dönüşümlü voltametri (CV), indüktif eşleşmiş plazma (ICP), taramalı elektron mikroskobu (SEM), X-ışını kırınımı (XRD) ve titreşimli örnek manyetometresi (VSM) deneyleri yapıldı. ICP analizleriyle CoNi alaşım film içeriğindeki kobalt nikel madde miktarı oranları belirlendi ve anormal depolanma davranışı sergilendiği görüldü. XRD analizlerinde; kobaltın kristal yapısının hacim merkezli kübik (hcp) yapıda ve α fazında, nikelin (fcc) yapıda ve β fazında, CoNi alaşımların (fcc) yapıda ve β fazında oldukları tespit edildi. Film içeriğindeki kobalt ve nikel madde miktarının, ince filmlerin kristal yönelimleri, tane büyüklükleri ve latis parametrelerine büyük etki ettiği görüldü. Manyetik ölçüm (VSM) sonuçları grafik olarak gösterildiğinde histerezis eğrileri elde edildi ve bütün filmlerin ferromanyetik malzeme davranışı sergilediği tespit edildi. Histerezis eğrilerinden, koersivite (Hc), doyum manyetizasyonu (Ms) ve kalıcı manyetizasyon (Mr) değerleri bulundu. Kobalt madde miktarı ve tane büyüklüğünün koersivite, doyum manyetizasyonu ve kalıcı manyetizasyon üzerine büyük etki ettiği görüldü. CoNi alaşım film içerisindeki kobalt ve nikel madde miktarının banyo kompozisyonu ile kontrol edilerek, istenilen sert manyetik ve yumuşak manyetik özelliğe sahip malzemelerin üretilebileceği görüldü. Cobalt, nickel and CoNi alloy thin film coatings were deposited on aluminum substrate by varying the ratio of cobalt and nickel content in electrolyte by electrodeposition method. Affecting production; The parameters such as pH, temperature, production time, production current and mixing were fixed. In order to find the structural and magnetic properties, cyclic voltammetry (CV), inductively coupled plasma (ICP), scanning electron microscopy (SEM), X-ray diffraction (XRD) and vibrating sample magnetometer (VSM) experiments were performed. The ratio of cobalt nickel content in CoNi alloy film was determined by ICP analysis and it showed abnormal deposited behavior. The XRD analysis revealed that the cobalt crystal structure was in the volume-centered cubic (hcp) and α phase, nickel (fcc) structure and β phase, CoNi alloys (fcc) and β phase. It was observed that the amount of cobalt and nickel material in the film had a great effect on the crystal orientations, grain sizes and lattice parameters of thin films. When the magnetic measurement (VSM) results were shown graphically, hysteresis curves were obtained and all films were found to show ferromagnetic material behavior. From the hysteresis curves, coercivity (Hc), saturation magnetization (Ms) and permanent magnetization (Mr) values were found. The amount of cobalt material and grain size were found to have a major effect on coercivity, saturation magnetization, and permanent magnetization. It was seen that the amount of cobalt and nickel material in CoNi alloy film was controlled by the bath composition, and the desired hard magnetic and soft magnetic properties could be produced. 151

In this research, we have investigated the magnetic properties of the spin-1 Ising model on the Shastry Sutherland lattice with the crystal field interaction by using the effective-field theory with correlations. The effects of the applied field on the magnetization are examined in detail in order to obtain the magnetization plateaus, thus different types of magnetization plateaus, such as 1/4, 1/3, 1/2, 3/5, 2/3 and 7/9 of the saturation, are obtained for strong enough magnetic fields (h). Magnetization plateaus exhibit single, triple, quintuplet and sextuple forms according to the interaction parameters, hence the magnetization plateaus originate from the competition between the crystal field (D) and exchange interaction parameters (J, J′). The ground-state phase diagrams of the system are presented in three varied planes, namely (h/J, J′/J), (h/J, D/J) and (D/J, J′/J) planes. These phase diagrams display the Neel (N), collinear (C) and ferromagnetic (F) phases for certain values of the model parameters. The obtained results are in good agreement with some theoretical and experimental studies.

In this study, a Two-dimesional electron gas which is formed in d –doped GaAlAs/GaAs/GaAlAs and in a AlGaN/GaN/AlGaN quantum well are considered. First, for both systems the results of self-consistent calculations are used. A magnetic field is applied on 2DEG in the growth direction which is perpendicular to the plane in which the electrons move freely. The direction of the field in our study is the z-direction and the plane on which the electrons move freely is the xy plane. When the effect of the magnetic field is considered, first of all, the density of states (DOS) of the systems is considered. In the absence of magnetic field, 2DEG has a constant DOS but in the presence of magnetic field DOS shows delta like singularities (at Landau levels) and these singularities change because of defects in the system. Scattering and defects of the system result in the expansion of these levels. In the present study the level broadening is assumed to be Gaussian like and DOS is calculated numerically. It is seen that the variation of DOS as a function of magnetic field is effective for all properties of 2DEG. First the behaviour of Fermi energy is examined and calculated for different electron concentrations as a function of applied magnetic field. In the next step, magnetization of the system is obtained as a change in internal energy with respect to magnetic field B. And also heat capacity of 2DEG is studied as a temperature rate of change of internal energy. It is shown that these thermodynamic properties of the system make oscillations together with the Fermi energy. We observed many oscillations for low field values, in high field region we observe only few oscillations but they became very clear. Bu çalışma Ç.Ü. Mg0.5Cu0.5YxFe2-xO4 ferrites were prepared by the solid state reaction method and were characterized by X-ray diffraction and magnetization measurements. A single spinel phase was obtained in the range 0 \le x \le 0.08. The lattice parameter was found to increase with the increase of x except at x = 0.08, which may indicate a distortion in the spinel lattice. The saturation magnetization was found to decrease with increasing x due to replacement of the magnetic Fe3+ ions by the nonmagnetic Y3+ ions.

In this paper, the temperature dependence for synthetic magnetization ¯ M of a rotating Bose gas in harmonic trap and the magnetic field dependence of the critical temperature are investigated. A simple semiclassical approximation for the density of state approach is used in this study. The suggested approach simultaneously gives corrections to quantities which arise from the finite size and interatomic interaction effects. The calculated results show that the critical temperature decreases due to the increase of the synthetic magnetic field. The synthetic magnetization also exhibits a characteristic temperature dependence. It is proportional to T 3 if ¯ T ¯ Tc . The calculated results provide a solid theoretical foundation of the current experiments.

In this study the structure and the magnetic properties of polymer microspheres, filled with magnetite nanoparticles are investigated. Average particle size of magnetite nanoparticles before and after being introduced into polymer microspheres, and the distance between nanoparticles in the polymer microspheres, are measured. Magnetization curve of polymer magnetic microspheres (PMMS) is determined. The magnetic susceptibility of PMMS with various diameters, and the dependence of PMMS magnetic susceptibility on diameter are determined. Magnetization occurs due to the orientation of PMMS as a magnetic moment. The total magnetic moment of PMMS is the sum of magnetic moments of PMMS sections which consist of magnetic moment chains of magnetite nanoparticles lined up along the diameter and lines parallel to the diameter of the PMMS sections. Analysis of results showed that magnetite nanoparticles are uniformly distributed all over the microspheres and do not aggregate during PMMS synthesis. PMMS is superparamagnetic. Analysis of the dependence of PMMS magnetic susceptibility on the diameter shows that for small diameters (d < 300 μm), all magnetite nanoparticles in chains are lined up along the external magnetic field. That is, all magnetite nanoparticles in chains take part in the magnetization. However, for large diameters, some parts of chains in sections are transformed into clusters, this reduces the length of chains and decreases the magnetic susceptibility of PMMS. Külçelere uygulanan sıcak deformasyon işlemi 710oC, 750oC ve 800oC ‘de argon atmosferinde yapılmıştır. Sıcak deformasyon sonrası örneklerdeki küçülme miktarı %70’in üzerindedir. Tetragonal yapıdaki Nd2Fe14B kristallerinin c ekseninin presleme yönüne paralel yönlenmeleri sıcak deformasyon uygulanmış numunenin X ışını difraksiyon analizinde görülmüştür. Nd18Tb1Fe68Co5B8 külçesinde, Nd2Fe14B ve Nd yönünden zengin fazlarının yanısıra oluşan demir fazı Al ve Cu katkılı külçelerde görülmemiştir. (004), (006), (105) ve (008) difraksiyon düzlemlerine ait pik şiddetlerin izotropik tanelere sahip külçe numuneye kıyasla artmaktadır. Presleme yönüne paralel düzlemlerden alınan mikroyapı görüntülerinde de uzunlamasına büyüyen katmanlı manyetik Nd2Fe14B taneleri görülmüştür. Örneklerin manyetik özellikleri bileşim ve sıcaklık parametresine bağlı olarak değişmektedir. Al katkılı örneklerde deformasyon sıcaklığındaki artışla birlikte Br, Hc ve (BH)max değerleri yükselmiştir. 750⁰C’de preslenmiş Cu katkılı örneklerde Al katkısıyla birlikte Br, Hc ve (BH)max değerleri önemli ölçüde artmıştır., In this study, Al and Cu were added into Nd18Tb1Fe68Co5B8 alloy at different ratios and investigated their effects on the magnetic properties of them. Hot working were applied to the ingots at the temperatures of 710oC, 750oC and 800oC under argon atmosphere. The reduction of the sample in height is above 70% after the hot working. The grain alignment along c axis after hot working in the tetragonal Nd2Fe14B grains were observed in the XRD pattern of the sample hot deformed. The iron phase formed in the Nd18Tb1Fe68Co5B8 cast ingot besides of Nd2Fe14B and Nd-rich phase was not observed in the Al and Cu added ingots. The peak insensities of (004), (006), (105) ve (008) planes increased compared with the ingot sample with isotropic Nd2Fe14B grains. In the micrographs taken from the section parallel to the pressing direction, it was observed that the lamellar Nd2Fe14B crystalls growing longitudinally. Magnetic properties of the samples changed depending on composition and hot working temperature. Br, Hc and (BH)max values enhanced by increasing hot deformation temperature for the Al added samples. As soon as an electron moving in an inner shell of atom is removed or raised to the upper shell, the hole occurred in this shell is filled with an electron transition from upper levels. At this moment, one of the characteristic X-rays of that atom ( , , , , …) is emitted. X-ray fluorescence (XRF) cross sections are described as a measure of the emitting probability of X-rays. X-ray fluorescence cross-sections are widely used in atomic, molecular and radiation physics, materials science, environmental science, agriculture, forensic medicine, health physics, dosimeter calculations for cancer therapy, X-ray emission techniques of elemental analysis and nuclear physics researches. Although many researchers have been carried out on X-ray fluorescence cross-sections and their angular distributions, no study on the change on cross sections of a magnetized sample and their anisotropy has been carried out up to now. After Fe and Co samples which ferromagnetic characteristics at room temperature have magnetized in an external magnetic field, 1 tesla we measured the changes of the cross sections from different emitting angles. We have found that the magnetization increases the X-ray fluorescence cross sections of Fe. Manyetoreolojik (MR) malzemeler bir dış manyetik alanın etkisinde kaldıkları zaman kendisine ait mekanik, elastik ve/veya viskoelastik özellikleri değiştirebilme yeteneğine sahip akıllı malzemelerin bir alt sınıfını oluşturur. MR malzemeler tipik olarak manyetik olmayan bir matris içerisinde asılı vaziyette duran mikron mertebesinde manyetik partiküllerden oluşmuştur. Bu kompozitlerde parçacıklar arası manyetik etkileşimler her bir parçacığın uzaysal yerleşimine ve bu malzemelerdeki mıknatıslanma ve deformasyon alanlarının kaplingine bağlıdır. Bu çalışmada manyetoreolojik akışkanlar ve manyetoreolojik elastomerler ele alınmış ve incelenmiştir. MR akışkanlar ve MR elastomerler arasındaki farklar ve benzerlikler tespit edilmiştir.MR akışkanın davranışı sürekli ortamlar mekaniği çerçevesinde sistematik olarak incelenmiştir. Elektromanyetik alanda yer alan bir sürekli ortam için gerekli denge denklemleri yazılmıştır. Ayrıca enerji denklemi ve entropi eşitsizliği birleştirilerek genelleştirilmiş enerji denklemi elde edilmiştir. Uygun bir Legendre transformasyonu yardımıyla enerji denklemi entropi eşitsizliğinde yerine yazılarak genelleştirilmiş entropi eşitsizliği elde edilmiştir. Bu aşamadan sonra gerekli bünye aksiyomları kullanarak gerilme ve mıknatıslanma bünye denklemleri elde edilmiştir. Sonlu elemanlar metodu (SEM) kullanarak 2-boyutlu asimetrik bir MR damper ele alınmış ve incelenmiştir. MR materials typically consist of micron-sized magnetic particles suspensed in a non-magnetic matrix. The magnetic interactions between particles in these composites depend on the magnetization orientation of each particle and on their spatial relationshp, coupling the magnetic and deformation fields in these materials. In this study, MR fluids and MR elastomers are presented and analyzed. The main difference and analogous between MR fluids and MR elastomer are studied.In the frame of continuum mechanics, behaviours of MR fluids are systematically investigated. Under the influence of electromagnetic field balance equations are defined for a continuum medium. Moreover, generalized energy equation is obtained by combined with energy equation and entropy inequality. Global entropy inequality is obtained substituting instead in entropy inequality by the use of a Legendre transformation. After this stage, stress and magnetization constitutive equaitions are obtained by the use of constitutive axioms. A Finite Element model was built to analyze and examine a 2-D axisymetric MR damper. Bu çalısmada, bir boyutlu örgüdeki spin dalgaları incelenmistir. Bu amaçla manyetizasyon ifadesini türetebilmek için Değis-tokus, Zeeman ve dipol-dipol etkilesimlerinden olusan sistem hamiltoniyeni elde edilmistir. Hamiltoniyeni kösegenlestirmek için gerekli dönüsümler kullanılmıs ve Z bölüsüm fonksiyonundan yararlanılarak manyetizasyon ifadesi elde edilmistir. Elde edilen manyetizasyon ifadesinin uygulanan dıs alana bağlı olarak düsük sıcaklıklardaki değisimi incelenmistir., In this study, spin waves in one dimensional lattice have been studied. With this purpose, the exchange interaction, zeeman interaction and dipole-dipole interaction are used in order to obtain the magnetization. In order to diagonalise the Hamiltonien necessary transformations have been applied and the magnetization has been obtained by utilizing the partition function Z of the system. The low temperature variation of the so obtained magnetization with the applied external magnetic field has been investigated.

Bu bilimsel çalışmada iyon demeti çığalama tekniği ile üretilmiş teknolojik öneme sahip, magneto direnç özelliği gösteren, CoFe temelli nano-ölçekli tanecikli ferromanyetik (Co90 Fe10 ) 20 Ag 80 ince film sistemlerinin mıknatıslanma (histerezis) ölçümleri, küçük ve birbiri ile etkileşmeyen manyetik parçacıkların (paramanyetizim) klasik Langevin denklemi kullanılarak teorik hesaplamalar ile incelenmiştir. CoFe manyetik taneciklerin film kalınlığına bağlı gelişiminin incelenmesi amaçlanmıştır. Langevin denkleminin küçük dış manyetik alan ve oda sıcaklığı yaklaşımına göre Maple10 programı kullanılarak gerçekleştirilen hesaplamalar, CoFe manyetik taneciklerinin ortalama boyutlarının film kalınlığı arttıkça arttığını ve 1.6-2.2 nm arasında değiştiğini göstermektedir, In the present work, magnetization (hysteresis) measurements of the ion beam sputtered (Co90 Fe10 ) 20 Ag 80 nanogranular films were investigated by theoretical calculations using the Langevin Equation of paramagnetism for non-interactive magnetic particles. The purpose of the study was to investigate thickness dependent evoulution of the CoFe magnetic particles in these films. The low-magnetic-field and room temperature approach of the Langevin equation has been applied to the magnetization measurement data using a self written software by Maple10. As a result it has been found that the average size of CoFe particles increases with increasing (Co90 Fe10 ) 20 Ag 80 film thickness ranging from â 1.6 nm to 2.2 nm. i

BİLGİSAYAR KONTROLLÜ MANYETİZASYON ÖLÇÜM SİSTEMİ YAPIMI Mehmet Deniz Çalışkan OZ Sunulan çalışmada bilgisayar kontrollü manyetik duygunluk ölçüm sisteminin yapılması amaçlanmıştır. Bu doğrultuda, öncelikle farklı manyetizayon ölçüm sistemlerin yapıları, yayımlanmış dokümanlardan araştırılmış, bölümümüzdeki sistemin yapısı ile karşılaştırılmış, sistemimizin ölçüm hassasiyetini değiştiren parametreler belirlenmiş ve öncelikle uyarıcı ve algılayıcı bobinlerin yapılmalarına karar verilmiştir. Bu nedenle bobinleri yüksek simetri ile sarabilmek için bilgisayar kontrollü bir bobin sarma makinesi tasarlanmaya karar verilmiş, elimizde hazırda bulunan mekanik parçalar kullanılarak yapılabilecek makine yapıları araştırılmış ve bunun sonucunda önce elektronik, sonra mekanik ve sonra da yazılım tasarımları yapılmıştır. Yazılım tasarımı sırasında mekanik parçalarda gerekli görülen modifikasyonlar yapılmış, test amaçlı bobinler sarılmıştır. Daha sonra sistemde kullanılacak bobinlerin tasarımları yapılmış ve bu bobinler sarılmış, bobinler sisteme yerleştirilerek, sistem içi bağlantıları yapılmış ve sistemin ölçüm performansı ndaki gözlenmiştir. Sonuç olarak sistemdeki gürültü miktarı yaklaşık 25nV, offset gerilimi maksimum alan şiddetinde 190 jjV, AC alan şiddeti 11,63 Gauss (RMS), DC alan şiddeti 200 Gauss olan bir sistem ortaya çıkartılmıştır. First of all previous studies about magnetization systems are examined. It is found that first of all the excitation and pick up coils should be designed so that a machine should be designed to built the coils precisely. So the previous studies on computer controlled coil winding machines are examined and the design of our computer controlled coil machine is done. First, the electronic interfacing circuits between the computer and stepper motors are designed, then the modifications and the new parts needed for the mechanic construction are designed. And finally the software design is made and at the same time the last modifications and adjustments are done on the mechanical construction. Then the test coils are prepared and the DC bias field, pickup coils and excitation coil are designed and constructed. After winding the DC field, excitation and pick up coils, the coils placed in the system, interconnections are connected and test measurements are done. As a result, the measurements show that the system has 25 nV noise,190 yV offset voltage, 11,63 Gauss (RMS) maximum AC field strength and 200 Gauss Dc bias field.
