In this study, the development of TiO2/SiO2/GLYMO based nanocomposite solution by sol-gel method and the improvement of the fastness properties of the garment leathers by using the nanocomposite on leather in finishing process with lacquer have been investigated. The results show that the films of TiO2/SiO2/GLYMO based nanocomposite solution on the leather samples are homogeneous and even. When the fastness properties of the films were evaluated, it was observed that dry rubbing and wet rubbing fastness, color fastness to water and perspiration of the leather surfaces finished with the nanocomposite were improved and the best results were obtained from the KL group of leathers which was treated with the nanocomposite together with lacquer. In addition, it was proposed that the improvement of color fastness to light and UV light of the TiO2/SiO2/GLYMO based nanocomposite treated leathers was probably resulted from UV-absorbing properties of TiO2. As a result, the application of TiO2/SiO2/GLYMO based nanocomposite solution with lacquer coating on garment leathers improved their fastness and thus garment leathers with longer wear life were obtained in this study., Bu çalışmada, sol-jel yöntemi ile TiO2/SiO2/GLYMO esaslı nanokompozit çözeltisi üretimi ve finisaj işleminde deri üzerine uygulanarak lak kaplaması ile giysilik derinin haslık özelliklerinin iyileştirilmesi incelenmiştir. Çalışma sonucunda, TiO2/SiO2/GLYMO esaslı nanokompozit çözeltisi uygulanan deri örneklerinin üzerindeki filmlerin homojen ve düzgün olduğu gözlemlenmiştir. Derilerin haslık özellikleri değerlendirildiğinde, nanokompozit ile finisajlanmış deri yüzeylerin kuru sürtme ve yaş sürtme haslığı, su ve tere karşı renk haslığı değerlerinin artırıldığı ve en iyi sonuçların söz konusu nanokompozitin lak ile birlikte uygulandığı KL grubu derilerden elde edildiği tespit edilmiştir. Buna ek olarak, TiO2/SiO2/GLYMO esaslı nanokompozit çözeltisi uygulanan derilerin ışık ve UV ışığına karşı renk haslığı değerlerinin de iyileştirilmesinin büyük olasılıkla TiO2'nin UV-absorbe edici özelliğinden kaynaklandığı ileri sürülmüştür. Sonuç olarak, bu çalışmada TiO2/SiO2/GLYMO esaslı nanokompozit çözeltisi ve lak kaplamasının uygulanması ile haslık değerleri iyileştirilmiş ve bu nedenle daha uzun ömürlü giysilik deriler elde edilmiştir.

Poly (Trimethilene Terephtalate) (PTT), which is an elastic aromatic polyester, can be dyed with disperse dyes at atmospheric conditions without the need of carriers due to its low glass transition temperature (Tg). PTT fibers can exhibit good fastness properties in spite of its low Tg. This study, which is Part II of a review study, gives information on the wet processing (pretreatment, dyeing, clearing, subsequent finishing treatments etc.) of PTT fiber and its effects on the fiber. This was accomplished through a broad literature survey including recent researches and developments in the area.

Bu makalede, reaktif ink jet baskı için uygulanan ön emdirme işlemlerinde kullanılan çeşitli kıvamlaştırıcıların baskı kalitesi üzerine etkileri araştırılmıştır. Bu amaçla, öncelikle ağartılmış %100 pamuklu kumaş numuneleri yüksek, orta ve düşük viskoz alginat kıvamlaştırıcıları yanında sentetik kıvamlaştırıcılar kullanılarak hazırlanan ön işlem banyoları uygulanarak kurutulmuşlardır. Daha sonra, ink jet baskıda temel proses renkleri olan Siyan, Magenta, Sarı ve Siyah (CMYK renkleri) ile ön işlemli kumaşlar üzerine baskılar yapılarak renk verimi (K/S değeri), penetrasyon derecesi, kontür netliği, yıkama haslığı ve sürtme haslığı test edilerek sonuçlar değerlendirilmiştir. Elde edilen sonuçlar, en uygun kıvamlaştırıcı tipinin yüksek viskoz alginat olduğunu ortaya koymuştur. In this article, the effects of various thickeners used in the pre-padding processes for reactive ink jet printing were investigated. For this purpose, firstly, bleached 100% cotton fabric samples were pre-padded with pre-treatment liquors prepared using high, medium and low viscosity alginates and a synthetic thickener. Afterwards, the pre-padded fabric samples were dried. Then, printings were carried out on the pre-padded fabric samples using Cyan, Magenta, Yellow and Black colours (CMYK colours) which are basic process colours in the ink jet printing. Finally, colour strength (K/S values), colour penetration, contour sharpness, wash fastness and crock fastness properties were tested and evaluated. The results showed that the most suitable thickener type is the high viscosity alginate.

ÖZET Bu çalışmada Politrimetilen Teraftalat (PTT)/Elastan kanşımı kumaşlann boyanma özellikleri araştırılmıştır. Çalışmada öncelikle PTT/Elastan karışımı kumaşlann ısıl fiksaj özellikleri ve ön fiksaj sıcaklığının renk değerleri üzerine etkisi incelenmiştir. Ardından PTT/Elastan ve PET/Elastan karışımı kumaşlann çeşitli yumuşatıcılarla renk ve haslık değerlerindeki değişimler incelenmiştir. Yapılan deneysel çalışmalar sonucunda, PTT/Elastan karışımı kumaşların fıksajı için 160 °C'nin uygun olduğu ve ön fiksaj sıcaklığının renk ve haslık değerlerini önemli derecede etkilemediği sonucu bulunmuştur. Ayrıca PTT/Elastan karışımı kumaşlardaki elastan kısım, PET/Elastan karışımındakine oranla daha az kirlenmektedir. Yapılan çalışmada elde edilen diğer bir sonuçta, PTT/Elastan karışımı kumaşlar ve PET/Elastan karışımı kumaşlar için en uygun yumuşatıcı tipinin mikro silikon yumuşatıcılar olduğu, en uygun kurutma sıcaklığının da PTT/Elastan karışımları için 140 °C, PET/Elastan karışımları için 160 °C olduğu sonucuna vanlmıştır. In this study, dyeing properties of PTT/Elasthane fabrics were investigated. For this aim, the effects of pre-fixation on dyeing and fastness properties of PTT/Elasthane fabrics were evaluated. Then the dyeing properties of elastane part of the fabric both in PTT/Elasthane and PET/Elasthane fabrics were investigated. Also, the effects of drying temperatures after treatment with different softeners were evaluated. As a result, the optimum fixation temperature was found at 160 °C for PTT/Elasthane fabrics. In addition, the results showed that the elasthane part take more dye up in comparison to elasthane part of PET/Elasthane fabrics and therefore the K/S values are higher of elasthane yarns in PTT/Elasthane fabrics. Finally, the best softener was found micro silicone type for both PTT/Elasthane and PET/Elasthane fabrics.
