In this study it was aimed to investigate the psychological factors related with regularly drinking university students’ substance use in a social perspective. Among 1720 students selected with convenience sampling who consumed alcohol with a frequency of at least once a month during the past year were selected as “regular drinkers” (n=586). The Sociotropy and Autonomy Scale, the Beck Hopelessness Scale, the Stress Audit Scale, and the Locus of Control Scale were administrated for data collection. Then, the relationship between ever use of an illicit substance and the aforementioned psychological factors was investigated in high- and low-income groups separately. A low level of Vulnerability to Stress and scoring lower in the Sociotropy Scale were found to be significantly related with a higher risk of substance use among low-income regularly drinking students. In the context of disadvantegous socioeconomic conditions, a low level of sociotropy and a low level of motivation indicate lack of attachment to the society, thus leading to a higher risk for substance use., Bu çalışmada düzenli alkol kullanımı olan üniversite öğrencilerinde madde kullanımı ile ilişkili psikolojik faktörleri araştırmak amaçlanmıştır. Kolay örnekleme yöntemiyle belirlenen 1720 öğrenci arasından, son bir yılda ayda en az bir kez alkol kullananlar “düzenli içici” olarak seçilmiştir (n=586). Sosyotropi-Otonomi Ölçeği, Beck Umutsuzluk Ölçeği, Strese Yatkınlık Ölçeği ve Kontrol Odağı Ölçeği veri toplamak amacıyla uygulanmıştır. Düşük ve yüksek gelirli aileye sahip öğrenciler arasında psikolojik faktörler ve yasa dışı madde kullanımı arasındaki ilişki lojistik regresyon analizi ile incelenmiştir. Yüksek ve düşük gelir gruplarında, yaşam boyu en az bir kez madde kullanımı ve çeşitli psikolojik faktörlerle ilişkisi ayrı ayrı araştırılmıştır. Düzenli alkol kullanımı olan düşük gelire sahip öğrencilerde, düşük seviyede Strese Yatkınlık ve düşük Sosyotropi Ölçeği puanları, yüksek madde kullanma riski ile anlamlı derecede ilişkili bulunmuştur. Bu çalışmanın sonucuna göre, olumsuz sosyoekonomik şartlar altında; düşük düzeydeki sosyotropi ve motivasyon eksikliği, madde kullanımı için yüksek riske yol açtığını göstermektedir.

This field study was conducted to investigate the effect of Arbuscular Mycorrhizal Fungus (AMF) Glomus intraradices on the growth, tuber size distribution and yield of potato (Solanum tuberosum L.) under different doses potassium fertilizer in the Bitlis-Ahlat district of Eastern Anatolia region of Turkey in 2007 and 2008. Experiment was set up as factorial completely randomized block design with three replicates, four different potassium levels (0, 10, 20 and 30 kg KSO /da) and mycorrhizal fungi with AMF (+) and AMF (-) applications were factors. The AMF inoculation, alone or in combination with potassium application, increased the total tuber yield of potato in both years. Besides, the highest tuber yields were obtained from GI+K in 2007 and 2008 by 3476,1 and 4354.4 kg/da, respectively. It was also found that AMF inoculation decreased the proportion of small tubers but increased proportion of mid and larg size tubers. The results of this study indicated that the AMF inoculation has a great potential to decrease potassium fertilizer levels in potato., Çalışma, farklı potasyum dozlarında Arbusküler Mikorhizal Fungus (AMF) uygulamalarının patatesin yumru verimi ve yumru iriliği dağılımına etkisini belirlemek amacıyla 2007 ve 2008 yıllarında Bitlis-Ahlat ekolojisinde tarla koşullarında yürütülmüş, tesadüf bloklarında faktöriyel deneme desenine göre üç tekerrürlü olarak kurulmuştur. Denemede faktör olarak 4 potasyumlu gübre dozu (0, 10, 20 ve 30 kg K SO /da) ile AMF (+) ve AMF (-) uygulamaları ele alınmıştır. Yapılan çalışmada AM fungusunun yalnız ve potasyumlu gübre ile birlikte uygulanması patatesin yumru verimlerini arttırmıştır. Bununla birlikte, en yüksek toplam yumru verimi her iki yılda da GI+K uygulamasından, birinci yıl 3476,1 kg/da, ikinci yıl 4354.4 kg/da olarak elde edilmiştir. AM fungusunun kullanımı küçük yumru oranını azaltırken, orta ve büyük yumru oranını arttırmıştır. AMF Glomus intraradices uygulamasının patateste potasyum gübresi kullanımını azaltmak için büyük bir potansiyele sahip olduğu sonucuna varılmıştır.

Retropharyngeal abscess is a rare but serious disease, which is seen especially in childhood. It may lead to symptoms like neck swelling, sudden airway obstruction and etc. The most common findings are fever, neck swelling, swallowing and feeding problems. The duration of symptoms and signs can be variable. Diagnosis is confirmed by lateral neck radiographs. The most helpful diagnostic means are direct visualization and computerized tomography scan of the cervical area. Early diagnosis and surgical treatment prevents serious complications such as mediastinal spread, aspiration of pus, airway obstruction or erosion into a major vessel. In this paper, we present a seventy four-year-old case with retropharyngeal abscess who admitted with severe respiratory distress and severe feeding problems.

The MURCS (MUllerian duct aplasia, Renal aplasia, Cervicothoracic Somite dysplasia) association is a rare and sporadic disease. The etiology is unknown. We present a patient with short stature, absence of uterus, tubes, left ovary, left renal agenesis, servical block vertebra.

In this study, the effects of some important citrus rootstocks such as local sour orange (Citrus aurantium L. var. "Brasilian"), Taiwanica (Citrus taiwanica Tan. and Shim.). Volcameriana (Citrus volkameriana Tan. and Pasq.), Rough lemon (Citrus jambhiri Lush.). Yuzu (Citrus junos Sieb. ex. Ten.). Cleopatra mandarin (Citrus reshni Tan.) Benecke trifoliata (Poncirus trifoliata Raf. var. "Benecke"). Citrumelo 1452 (Poncirus trifoliata Raf. x Citrus paradis Macf. var. "1452"). Carizzo and Troyer citranges (Poncirus trifoliata Raf. x Citrus sinensis Osb. var. "Troyer" and "Carrizo") on fruit yield and quality of Washington Navel and Moro blood orange were investigated. The experiment was carried out during 1987-1994 at the Department of Horticulture, Faculty of Agriculture, University of Çukurova on the trees planted as 7×7 m in "Citrus Rootstocks Trial Parcels" in 1982. Rootstocks effected significantly the fruit yuiled and the qualities of the cultivars. The highest fruit yields of Washington Navel orange were obtained from the trees on Carizzo citrange and Volkameriana, both of citranges effected positively on fruit quality of Washington Navel orange. Volkameriana effected negatively on the fruit quality, although the yield has been increased. Brasilian sour orange and Yuzu effected negatively on the fruit quality like Volkameriana. In consider of the yield of Moro blood, the best results were taken from the trees on Volkameriana, however the best fruit quality were determined on the citranges. Local sour orange and Yuzu effected negatively both of fruit yield and quality of Moro blood orange like Washington Navel.

Taiwanica and Yuzu made the most negative effect on fruit yield and quality. Carrizo citrange was found to be the best one for fruit yield of Shamouti orange. Carrizo citrange had the most positive effect on the fruit quality. However local sour orange and Cleopatra mandarin rootstocks had been a negative effect on the fruit yield. In addition. Yuzu had negative effect on the fruit quality.

Alacaklar kaleminin bu artışı sonucunda kredili satış yapan firmalar açısından müşteri finansmanı problemi daha büyük önem arzetmeye başlamıştır. Öte yandan müşteri finansmanı amacıyla kullanılan kaynakların maliyetlerindeki artışlar bu sorunu daha da ağırlaştırmaktadır. Ülkemizde kredili satış yapan firmaların müşteri finansmanı amacıyla kullanabilecekleri teknikler, yeterli görülmemekle birlikte 1980 öncesi döneme göre büyük ölçüde gelişme göstermiş ve çeşitlenmiştir. Along with this trend, increases in the rate of receivables oc total assets have also been observed. Due to this increase in the receivables, customer financing of firms with credit sales is becoming an important issue. Furthermore, increasing the cost of resources allocated to finance customers is complicating the credit sales more. Since 1980s variety of techniques have been developed to finance customer credits in this country, though we believe it is still insufficient. The purpose of this study is threefold: First, to examine the relationship between customer financing and management of credit sales. Second, to determine other financial techniques which may have direct or indirect relation to credit sales. Finally, to help firms find out the best technique considering their needs. To accomplish the three purposes we used data concerning receivables management and customer financing, obtained from the largest 500- Industrial Firms in Turkey. 284

ÖZET Takdim edilen çalışmada, plazmada ve trombos itlerde bolca bulunan ve trombosit fonksiyonlarında tetik mekaniz malardan biri sayılan esterazları inhibe edip^ ve/veya hücre içi cAMP miktarını arttırarak trombosit agregasyonunu önle diği bilinen proteaz inhibitor ler inin trombopoez üzerine an lamlı etkilerinin olup olmadığı araştırıldı. Bu amaçla bir grup tavşanda total kan hacminin 1/4 ü alınarak trombopoez stimule edildi ve hayvanlar dört! gün süresince trombopoez ve eritropoez yönünden izlendi. îkinci - bir tavşan grubunda ise aynı miktar kanatılmayı takiben ® proteaz inhibitörü Trasylol' uygulanarak aynı şekilde iz- ® lend i. Elde edilen bulgular Trasylol' uygulanan grupta trom bopoez in daha erken ve daha kuvvetle aktive olduğunu göster di. Böylece trombosit fonksiyonlarının trombopoez regülas- yonunda önemli rolü olabileceği görüşü kuvvetle desteklen miş oldu. Çalışmamızdan elde edilen bulgular literatür ışığında tartışılarak proteaz inhibitörlerinin trombopoez i stimule edici etkilerinin trombosit agregasyonu ve sekresyonunu in hibe ederek olabileceği, trombosit fonksiyonlarındaki inhi- bisyonun trombosit yapımını stimule edici etkisinin ise muh temelen trombosit sekresyonu sırasında açığa çıkan ve trom- bopoezi inhibe edici etkinliği olan madde veya maddelerin salınımının azalmasına bağlı olduğu, trombosit yapımının kont rolünde aktive edici etkinlik yanında inhibe edici etkinli ğin de önemli role sahip olabileceği sonucuna ulaşıldı. 61
