Information and communication Technologies (ICT) have significantly changed the workplace environment. The rise of remote work and online business processes, especially in the post-pandemic period, has blurred the boundary between work and life balance for many employees, especially academics. The need to respond quickly to messages, e-mails, and work using information and communication technologies has led to an increase in Workplace Telepressure on academics. Increasing demand for information and networks to mitigate the impact of telepressure has led to an increase in workplace FOMO. These two sources of stress have contributed to the burnout experienced by academicians. In this study, the relationship between academicians' WPT, WFOMO, and burnout levels was examined. Data were collected from 286 academicians working in public and private universities using the convenience sampling method. The data were analyzed using SPSS 22 and Smart PLS 4 programs. The study results reveal that the Workplace Telepressure (WPT) levels of academicians have a significant effect on Burnout and Workplace-Fear of Missing Out (WFOMO). Additionally, WFOMO acts as a mediator role in the relationship between WPT and Burnout. These findings expand the existing literature on WPT and WFOMO, two emerging stress factors in the workplace, and provide recommendations for managers and policymakers.

Agricultural developments mostly depend on rapidly increasing world population. Tomato is a highly nutritious vegetable. Post-harvest technologies are often applied to prolong the consumption periods of tomato. Drying is one of the oldest methods of conservation. In this study, five different drying methods (oven drying, vacuum oven drying, sensitive drying, shaded-open atmosphere drying and sun drying) was used. Drying processes were carried out with dryers at 55°C, 60°C, 65°C and 70°C temperatures. All drying trials were performed in three replications. Drying performance (drying duration, final moisture content), drying kinetics, colour analysis, energy consumption, chemical analyses were performed for all drying methods. Fresh samples reached to desired moisture contents in 20-300 hours. To define time-dependent changes in moisture contents, Page, Logarithmic and Midilli-Küçük equations were used. Page equation yielded the worst estimations. There were not significant differences in “a” redness values of fresh samples, 65-70C of oven dryer and all temperatures of sensitive dryer. Sensitive dryer yielded the closet pH values to fresh samples. Based on current findings, it was concluded that oven drying, and sensitive drying were suitable for drying Selinus tomato variety.

Communication in organizations, within the limits specified and configured in accordance with certain rules arising from the formal channels of communication and interpersonal relationships, and are not included in any configuration takes place through informal channels of communication. Known as the world's oldest media rumor and gossip is the size of the informal communication process. Kalınamayan everyday life, away from the gossip and rumors, sometimes complained, but in a way, sometimes including the Red Crescent owned social media. In fact, rumor and gossip is a way of communication. Despite being one of the most common activities in organizations gossip much studied in the literature of the Turkish government issue. Examine this issue, a descriptive framework in order to contribute to the relevant literature is presented. In this study, informal and non-viral rumor that the perception of a means of communication, the functions of individual and organizational point of view, attitudes were assessed on individual merits.

The second section includes competetion and competitiveness.İn the context, swot analysis technique, the most preferred method, was utilized for assesing the competetion.And then, swot analysis is done chrome mining lastly, strategic evaluation is done in the context of assesments and analysis for chrome mining and various suppestions have been made about the strategic sense.

Mendelian susceptibility to mycobacterial diseases (MSMD) is a rare primary immune deficiency (PID). IL-12Rβ1 deficiency is the most frequently observed of more than 16 genetic defects that have been identified for MSMD. Genetic and immunological tests are remarkable in the diagnosis of PID. In this study, it was aimed to determine the expression of IFN-γR1 and IL-12Rβ1 in patients with MSMD, their relatives, and healthy individuals and to evaluate the importance of flow cytometry as a fast and reliable method in the diagnosis of MSMD. IFN-γR1 and IL-12Rβ1 expression levels were analyzed in 32 volunteers including six patients, six relatives, and 20 healthy individuals. The normal range of IFN-γR1 and IL-12Rβ1 levels among healthy individuals were determined. IL-12Rβ1 expression level in lymphocytes was found to be low in one patient's relative, and less than 1% in three patients and in one patient's relative. It was observed that the IL-12Rβ1 expression levels of the patient with STAT1 deficiency were increased compared to the healthy individuals. No difference was found in the expression levels of IFN-γR1 and IL-12Rβ1 in one patient, but IFN-γR1 expression was decreased in one patient compared to healthy individuals. Our results show that the determination of IL-12Rβ1 and IFN-γR1 deficiencies by flow cytometry can be used as a rapid and reliable method for the diagnosis of MSMD. The use of this method as a screening test will enable early diagnosis especially in patients whose genetic diagnosis has not been confirmed and clinically compatible with MSMD. In addition, it is thought that IL-12Rβ1 and IFN-γR1 range data obtained from healthy individuals will be considered as a reference source in routine and research studies to be conducted with MSMD.

Pharyngitis in most cases is due to viral microorganisms however drug therapy without the detection of etiological agent leads to unnecessary use of antibiotics. On the other hand, when the etiologic agent is group A beta-hemolytic streptococci (GAS) it is important to identify the etiologic agent rapidly which will guide the treatment with appropriate antibiotics. The use of highly sensitive rapid tests will contribute significantly to early diagnosis and appropriate therapy. The aim of this study is to evaluate the efficacy of Mascia Brunelli rapid antigen test for the detection of GAS in throat swab samples. A total of 833 throat swab samples submitted to our laboratory with pre-diagnosis of pharyngitis were assessed between June 2016 and August 2016. The samples were simultaneously cultured and tested by rapid Mascia Brunelli Strep-A Card (Mascia Brunelli S.p.a, Italy). For identification, bacitracin sensitivity, PYR test and latex agglutination test in addition to Bruker MALDI-TOF MS (Daltonics, Germany) system were used. The density of GAS growth in the culture was noted. The samples that were false negative with Mascia Brunelli test were re-tested with QuickVue + Strep A Test (Quidel Corporation, San Diego, USA) rapid antigen test. A total of 833 patients, 376 (45.2%) female and 457 (54.8%) male were included in the study. The age range was between 0-94 years with a mean value of 7.86 ± 6.72. 125 (15%) and 94 (11.28%) of the samples were positive with culture and rapid antigen test, respectively. Mascia Brunelli antigen test gave negative results for 31 culture positive samples. Of these 31 samples, 28 were found positive by QuickVue + Strep A antigen test. As a result, the sensitivity of the test was found to be independent of the inoculum effect. The culture positivity rate in patients between 5-15 years was 18.4%. The sensitivity, specificity, positive predictive value, negative predictive value and the accuracy of Mascia Brunelli antigen test, with respect to culture, were 75.2%, 100%, 100%, 95.81% and 96.28%, respectively. In conclusion, the selection of rapid antigen tests with high sensitivity in the diagnosis of GAS pharyngitis will contribute to the prevention of resistance development by appropriate use of antibiotics as well as early diagnosis and appropriate treatment. However, confirmation of negative rapid antigen test results by culture is very important in terms of false diagnosis and prevention of incomplete treatment.

Objectives: We aimed to assess the sedative effects of midazolam and dexmedetomidine and their effects on hemodynamics and the cardiovascular system under epidural anesthesia., Methods: This study included 50 patients. Approval of the ethics committee and written consent from patients were obtained. The patients were separated into two groups to receive dexmedetomidine (D group) or midazolam (M group). Perifix no. 18 was placed in the epidural space from the L(3-4) interspace. After lidocaine 60 mg/3 ml was applied, isobaric bupivacaine 0.5% was given as 1 ml per segment. After block reached the T10 level, midazolam was given to the M group as a bolus of 0.015 mg kg(-1) in 10 minutes until beginning the operation, followed by continuous infusion as 0.1-0.2 mg kg(-1)h(-1) dosage. Dexmedetomidine 1 mcq kg(-1) was given to the D group as a bolus dosage in 10 minutes until beginning the operation, followed by continuous infusion as 0.4-0.7 mcq kg(-1) h(-1) dosage. Systolic arterial pressure (SAP), diastolic arterial pressure (DAP), mean arterial pressure (MAP), heart rate (HR), SpO(2), Ramsay Sedation Score (RSS), bispectral index (BIS), and respiratory rate (RR) were recorded. Sedative infusion was stopped when skin suture was closed. Adverse effects were also recorded., Results: In group D, MAP was significantly higher and HR was significantly lower than in group M (p<0.05)., Conclusion: We concluded that both drugs provided good sedation with no respiratory depression, stable hemodynamics and alertness with good cooperation. However, we consider midazolam as the first option due to its cost benefit.

Objectives: We evaluated the efficacy of laser-assisted uvulopalatoplasty in the treatment of snoring and obstructive sleep apnea syndrome (OSAS)., Patients and Methods: Laser-assisted uvulopalatoplasty was performed in 34 patients (30 males, 4 females; mean age 45.7 years; range 17 to 70 years) with simple snoring and mild OSAS. The patients were evaluated preoperatively and in the first and sixth months postoperatively with the use of the Epworth sleepiness scale, polysomnography, and snoring scores. A questionnaire was administered to assess patient satisfaction., Results: All patients had decreased snoring. The quality of sleep increased in 79%. The clinical improvement seen in the first month continued through the sixth postoperative month. Satisfaction rates for the patients and their families were 88% and 85%, respectively. Significant decreases were found in the Epworth sleepiness scale (p=0.000) and visual snoring scores (p<0.001). In addition, postoperative desaturation indices decreased and minimal desaturation levels increased. However, no significant decreases occurred in the apnea/hypopnea index. No complications were encountered during and after operation., Conclusion: Laser-assisted uvulopalatoplasty has high efficacy in the treatment of snoring and mild OSAS, with such additional advantages as ease, low complication rate, and no need for hospitalization.
