Critical thinking is a vital skill in professional settings, contributing to increased efficiency and innovation. Recognizing its importance, this study aims to explore how critical thinking is developed and applied across various industries. It is based on qualitative interviews with professionals in Education, Health, Logistics, Tourism, and Media. The analysis utilizes thematic, comparative, and content analysis to provide a sophisticated insight into the conceptualization, learning, and practice of critical thinking skills in each industry. By examining industry-specific differences, the study emphasizes the necessity for specialized training programs tailored to the unique demands of each sector. The uniqueness of this study lies in its comprehensive cross-sectoral analysis, offering a detailed comparative perspective on the role and impact of critical thinking across diverse professional landscapes. The results highlight critical thinking as a cornerstone of professional competence, supporting the development of the "Critical Reflections" program, which aims to provide intensive training adapted to sector-specific needs. Ultimately, this research underscores the importance of critical thinking in fostering adaptability, strategic decision-making, and innovative problem-solving across diverse professional landscapes, ensuring that professionals are equipped to meet contemporary challenges effectively.

In the contemporary business environment, a significant challenge is the talent shortage, particularly prevalent in logistics and supply chain management, where there is a marked deficiency of employees with the necessary skills for fundamental operations. Despite the strategic importance of women in this sector, the work environments in this field largely continue to maintain a male-dominated structure. The participation of women is crucial for developing innovative and effective supply chain solutions, yet the scarcity of experienced professionals not only compromises operational efficiency but also limits the development of new talent. In the existing literature, there are a limited number of academic studies concerning the role and importance of women in supply chain management. The aim of this study is to examine the research conducted on gender awareness in the supply chain industry through a systematic literature review and to present the current situation in this field. Employing MAXQDA for thematic analysis, this research identifies sectoral trends and thoroughly examines the content of the studies. The findings highlight the strategic significance of women in supply chain management, emphasizing that the lack of experienced female professionals poses considerable obstacles to both operational effectiveness and the cultivation of new talent. Consequently, this study advocates for increased research on gender diversity in the sector, suggesting that such efforts could substantially enhance supply chain management practices. Purpose: For all people, the acquisition of knowledge is essential. Libraries serve as critical institutions that enable individuals to become informed. This study aims to gather insights and perspectives from library staff on the use of libraries by individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and their families. It also seeks to understand the views and experiences of parents of children with ASD and their interactions with library staff. Method: The study was conducted as a case study, a qualitative research method, and involved using multiple case analyses to achieve the abovementioned aim. Seven librarians and eight parents of children diagnosed with ASD volunteered to participate in the study. Data was collected through semi-structured interviews. The information collected was analyzed using thematic analysis. Findings: The data obtained in the research, which are the seven fundamental principles of children's libraries, are "mission and purposes of children's libraries, human resources, competencies and knowledge, collection development, and management, programs, and community outreach activities. Design of the space and creating a welcoming place, marketing, promotion, evaluation, and impact" was evaluated. As a result of the analysis revealed the presence of ten themes and subthemes, which were identified as follows: "perception of the library," "obstacles to the use of the library," "expectations about the work of the libraries," "perception of the staff," "type and characteristics of the material," "expectations about the programs and activities," "services provided in the library," "inclusive interior," information and awareness," "holistic and multiple evaluation." Implications: The perspectives of parents and library staff regarding the identified themes from the data were presented comparatively, and the findings concerning existing literature were discussed. Subsequently, considering the research findings, recommendations are provided regarding potential initiatives libraries can undertake to serve children with ASD and their parents better. Originality: This study highlights potential library benefits for children with ASD and their parents. The findings of this research will likely make an original contribution to the field of library services. The study's findings are anticipated to help improve library services so that children with ASD and their families can benefit from them. s. Health management literature is critical in facilitating effective leadership and management in the health sector by imparting the knowledge and understanding required in health service planning, organization, coordination, and management. Through an exhaustive bibliometric examination, the current state of the “healthcare management” literature was assessed in this study, illuminating potential future developments in the field. By utilizing an extensive compilation of articles from the Web of Science (WoS) database, this study endeavors to scrutinize patterns in scientific inquiry, assess advancements made on subjects, and underscore significant fields of cooperation and scholarly input. An in-depth, extensive analysis revealed that three decades of research yielded over 46,000 publications; the number of publications has increased by six, particularly in the last ten years, and the United States and the United Kingdom produced most of the publications. Analysis identifying influential journals and authors in the field revealed that it is the focus of attention of health professionals, especially nurses. Although the COVID-19 pandemic has been recognized as the primary public health concern, scholarly attention has shifted towards a sustainable health system incorporating technology-supported preventive health practices and intelligence. To thoroughly comprehend the theoretical progression of health management research, its capacity to tackle worldwide issues, and its growth potential, the study’s findings are a valuable scholarly resource that offers practitioners, policymakers, and researchers a comprehensive overview.

The purpose of this study is to examine the experiences of university juniors and seniors on the career distress they experience in their career development. The study design is the phenomenological design, one of the qualitative research designs. The study data were collected using a structured interview form. The study group was made up of 37 university juniors and seniors (19 females, 18 males) majoring in various fields. The data of the study were collected by means of focus group interviews. The thematic analysis method was utilized in data analysis. University students' career distress was grouped under three themes, namely sectoral/professional factors, future anxiety and discovering carrier barriers. Every year, 1.1 million traffic accidents occur in Türkiye, resulting in over 6,000 fatalities and 280,000 injuries. The aim of this study was to examine the traffic accidents that cause such losses and injuries from the perspectives of traffic psychology and accident survivors. Nine individuals who reported being affected by a traffic accident within the previous five years were interviewed. The thematic analysis yielded 4 super-ordinate themes. These were the "pre-accident and duringaccident situations", "the effects of the accident", "ways of coping with the accident", and "postaccident changes". The "pre-accident and during-accident situation" theme consisted of the subthemes of psychological and physiological state before the accident, emotions at the moment of the accident, and behavior at the time of the accident; the theme of "the effects of the accident" consisted of the sub-themes of the psychological effects of the accident, the physical effects of the accident, and the material effects of the accident; "ways of coping with the accident" consisted of the subthemes such as self-suggestion, social or professional support, and dealing with various activities; and "post-accident changes" theme consisted of attitude and attribution changes, and behavioral changes sub-themes. According to the findings, the traumatic accident experience overshadowed the pre-accident phase. The accident moment not only affected the survivors traumatically, but also provided growth. It was concluded that the participants did not adopt safe driving practices generally; instead, they focused on and changed the behavior that they believed caused the accident. The aim of this research is to reveal the current situation of the articles published in Turkey between the years 2017-2021 on the field of science education in the preschool period through meta-synthesis. While scanning the relevant literature, the conditions for inclusion in the study were determined. As a result of the scans, 74 articles that met the conditions for inclusion were examined within the scope of this research. The analysis of these articles was carried out through thematic content analysis (meta-synthesis) method. The results of the research show that the researches in the field of pre-school science education mostly aim to determine the situation. It was observed that most of the studies were conducted in the case study pattern methodologically, however, methods such as phenomenology, scanning method and document analysis were also used. When the results of the research were examined; situation regarding science teaching process, general situation regarding science education, deficiency/insufficiency, positive effect, situation regarding science/science concepts, situation regarding environment/nature, preschool program/MEB preschool education activity book, perception, self-efficacy and activity/module development the subjects were mentioned. The objective of this study is to catalogue and assess research pertaining to communication education in Türkiye, categorising them according to thematic focus. A descriptive content analysis method was employed for this research. From the DergiPark platform, 52 articles concerning communication education were chosen for analysis. These articles were procured using the search term “communication education” and subsequently scrutinised based on themes posited by Wilson et al. (2023), namely: educator resources, teacher behaviour, K-12 education, ethics in conjunction with free speech, public oration and debate, technological advances, communicative interaction, cultural and individual identity, and evaluative methods. Our findings suggest that nearly half of these articles centred around evaluative methodologies. The body of work published between 1998 and 2023 predominantly reflects upon seven decades of evolution in communication education. The prevailing challenges identified encompass an overabundance of faculties and alumni and a palpable deficiency in requisite resources. Two salient issues emerged from the discourse: firstly, the debate over whether the emphasis should be on training individuals for media-specific roles or cultivating critically-minded individuals enriched with a comprehensive cultural understanding capable of societal analysis. Secondly, there was significant deliberation regarding the formulation and periodic revision of curricula. Moreover, the accreditation and qualification protocols as mandated by YÖK are perceived to have a consequential impact on communication education. Bu araştırmanın amacı, Türkiye’deki okullarda bürokratik yapı ile ilgili yapılan araştırmaların genel bir görünümü ile bu araştırma bulgularının tematik bir analizini sunmaktır. Sistematik inceleme metodu kullanılarak yürütülen araştırma, 2004-2020 yılları arasında Türkiye’de yapılan akademik çalışmaların topografik ve tematik bir analizini kapsamaktadır. Belirlenen dahil etme ve hariç tutma kriterlerine göre, Google Akademik ve Yüksek Öğretim Kurulu Ulusal Tez Merkezi’nin taranması sonucu araştırmaya onyedi lisans üstü tez, onbir araştırma makalesi olmak üzere toplam yirmi sekiz araştırma dahil edilmiştir. Araştırma mevcut çalışmaların büyük çoğunluğunun lisansüstü tez olduğunu ve nicel araştırma metotlarının araştırmacıların büyük çoğunluğu tarafından tercih edildiğini göstermektedir. Seçilen bu araştırmaların tematik analizi sonucunda, a) bürokratik yapı ve okul liderliği, b) bürokratik yapı, görüşler, tutum ve örgütsel davranış, c) bürokratik yapı ve mesleki öğrenme olmak üzere üç ana tema oluşturulmuş ve araştırma bulguları bu ana temalara göre tartışılmıştır. Araştırma, Türkiye’de okullardaki bürokratik yapının engelleyici bir unsur olarak görülmesinin yanında kolaylaştırıcı ve bireyleri olumlu etkileyici yönlerinin olduğunu da ortaya koymaktadır.

Being an agricultural society Turkey Turkish dialect speakers have the concept of "soil" at the core of their lives both spiritually and materially. People of this society who work on soil in their daily lives and live intertwined with the soil have connected the creation, death, and earning of their "livelihood" to God through the soil due to their religious beliefs. Therefore, they expect it to come through the soil while praying, making good wishes, asking for divine grace for themselves or others. In this study, which made to understand how the relationship between Turkey Turkish dialect speakers and soil is expressed through words of prayer, prayer words about soil which were compiled from the transcribed dialect texts found in the works of dialect researchers were analysed through Thematic Content Analysis method by taking their contexts into consideration. First of all prayer words containing soil phrases were tagged and collected with their contexts by scanning transcribed dialect texts line by line. Afterwards eight common themes have detected by coding the data in the prayings in accordance with three identified research questions. The determined themes reveal in which situations, for whom and for what intentions prayers were said. Thematically categorized prayers have analyzed semantically and meanings and functions of soil phrases which are the focal point of the research are tried to be explained under relevant headings. It was evaluated within which themes the soil was mentioned in prayers, in which contexts which words were chosen when mentioning the soil, and which concepts were meant by these soil phrases.
