• Objective: The results of sacrocolpopexy operation for treatment of vaginal vault prolapsus were evaluated. • Material and Method: Fourty-seven patients with vaginal vault prolapsus were included into the study group. Patients with descensus uteri, total prolapsus, subtotal prolapsus and stumpf prolapsus were underwent sacrocolpopexy operation by abdominal route with mersilene sutures or prolene meshs. Burch operations were performed because of urinary stress incontinence in five patients. Patients were reevaluated for postoperative complaints. • Results: Post operative relaps occu red in one (2%) patient. Post operative complaints included; cystocele (6 patients, 12%), dysparaunia (7 patients, 14%), pelvic pain (10 patients, 21%). • Conclusion: We conclude that sacrocolpopexy operation for vaginal vault prolapsus can be accepted as a safe and effective operative treatment.
