Larsen syndrome is an inherited condition characterized by multiple joint dislocations and typical facial features including depressed nasal bridge with hypertelorism and a prominent forehead. There are only several cases reported since its first report by Larsen in 1950’s. With the advancements in the field of dentistry, new treatment protocols are budding day by day to combat human ailments in a much natural better and simpler way. One such advancement is the application of ozone in dentistry. Ozone is a natural element protects us from ultraviolet rays. It has several properties including analgesics, immunostimulant and antimicrobial properties. In Dentistry its uses are abundance from gingival diseases, infection control, temporomandibular disorders, radiation and chemotherapy induced mucositis, lichen planus etc. Researchers believe that this therapy is in state of equilibrium with benefit and drawback. This review throws light on the history, properties, methods of administration, uses in the field of medicine and dentistry, toxicity, contraindications of ozone., Diş hekimliğindeki gelişmelere paralel olarak insanlardaki hastalıklarla başetmek için çeşitli alternatif doğal ve basit çözümler üretilmiştir. Ozon terapisinin dişhekimliğinde kullanımı bu yöndeki uygulamalardan biridir. Ozon insanları ultraviole ışınlarından koruyan doğal bir elmenttir. Analjezik, immun sistemi uyarıcı ve antimikrobiyal birçok özelliği bulunmaktadır. Diş hekimliğinde gingival hastalıklarda, enfeksiyon kontrolünde, temporomandibular hatsalıklarda, radyasyon ve kemoterapiye bağlı mukozitte, liken planusta kullanım alanı bulmuştur. Araştırmacılar bu terapi yönteminin yarar-zarar oranının dengeli olduğunu bildirmişlerdir. Bu yazıda ozon terapisinin tarihçesi, özellikleri, uygulama yöntemleri, tıpta ve dış hekimliğinde kullanım alanları, toksisitesi, kontrendikasyonları gözden geçirilmiştir.

Turner syndrome is a genetic disorder that affects mostly females. Affected females have characteristic features such as short stature, premature ovarian failure, and several other features. Oral manifestations of this condition are not much discussed in the literature. But reported literature includes teeth, palate, periodontal and salivary changes. So the aim of this review is to illustrate the general manifestations, and especially the oral manifestations of Turner syndrome and evaluate their possible management. Bu yazının amacı, Larsen sendromunun patogenezi, klinik özellikleri, tanı ve ayırıcı tanısı hakkında bilgi vermektir.

Etkilenen kadınların başlıca karakteristik özellikleri kısa boy, premature over yetmezliği, ve diğer bazı özelliklerdir .Literatürde bu durumun oral özellikleri çok fazla tartışılmamıştır. Bununla birlikte literatürde bu hastalarda diş, damak, periodontal ve salyada değişiklikler olabileceği bildirilmiştir. Bu gözden geçirmede, Turner sendromunun genel ve oral (ağızla ilgili) belirtilerinin vurgulanarak, bunların yönetinin değerlendirilmesi amaçlanmıştır.

Fabry's disease is a X linked Lysosomal storage disorder caused by a defect in α-galactosidase enzyme. This defect causes accumulation of lipids progressively in the vasculature and internal organs resulting in multiple complications and life threatening situation. It is characterized by pain, neurological, gastrointestinal, renal, cardiovascular, dermatological, rheumatological and oral manifestations. This review renders the pathophysiology, clinical features, diagnostic criteria's, differential diagnosis and management. This review also portrays the recent advancements that have been proposed for the management for this disorder., Fabry hastalığı α-galactosidaz enzimindeki bir eksiklikten kaynaklanan X’e bağlı bir lizozomal depo hastalığıdır. Bu enzim eksikliği damar sistemi ve iç organlarda lipid birikiminde yol açarak hastayı çoğul komplikasyonlar ve yaşamı tehdit edici bir duruma sürükler. Hastalık ağrı, nörolojik, gastrointestinal, romatolojik ve ağızla ilgili belirtilerle karakterizedir. Bu yazıda Fabry hastalığının patofizyolojisi, klinik özellikleri, ayırıcı tanısı ve yönetimi gözden geçirilmiştir. Bunların yanısıra hastalığı tedavisindeki son gelişmelere de vurgu yapılmıştır.
