In this study, an algorithm to assess the collapse load of single span circular masonry arch bridges according to the lower-bound theorem of limit analysis is developed. The algorithm uses techniques of linear programming and converges to the true collapse load from below; ie. predicts the safe collapse load. The algorithm is implemented in Matlab environment. The results compare well with those available in the literature.

Bu çalışmada, tek açıklıklı dairesel kâgir kemer köprülerin göçme yüklerinin limit analizin alt-limit teoremine göre belirlenmesine yönelik bir algoritma geliştirilmiştir. Algoritma, doğrusal programlama tekniklerini kullanmakta ve gerçek göçme yükü değerine alttan yakınsamakta, yani güvenli tarafta kalmaktadır. Algoritma, Matlab ortamında programlanmıştır. Elde edilen sonuçlar, literatürdeki mevcut sonuçlarla uyumludur.
