Amaç: Mamografi meme kanseri taramasında yaygın olarak kullanılmasına ragmen yanlış negatiflik oranı %35 dir. Meme Ultrosonografisi en sık kullanılan ek tarama metodudur. Mamografi ile birlikte rutin meme usg’si yapılması halen tartışmalıdır. Çalışmamızda şüpheli meme kitlelerinde meme USG eklenmesinin değerini belirlemek amaçlanmıştır.Gereç ve Yöntemler: Çalışmamıza 104 hastadaki toplam 121 meme lezyonu değerlendirildi. Mamografi ve ultrasonography (USG) görüntüleme yapılan hastalar çalışmaya dahil edildi. Lezyonlar Breast Imaging Reporting and Data System (BIRADS) sınıflamasına gore categorize edildi. Malign kitlelerden bahsedilmedi. Meme ultrasonography (USG) 9 hastada malignite taşıyan kitleyi saptayamadı. Meme ultrasonography (USG) ile 3 hastada yanlış pozitiflik saptandı. Hastalar 45 yaş altı ve üstü olarak iki gruba ayrıldığında meme ultrasonography (USG)’sinin 45 yaş altı grupta daha duyarlı olduğu, mamografininise 45 yaş üstünde daha spesifik olduğu bulundu (p, Background: Mammography has been used widely for breast cancer screening. However, the false-negative rate of mammography is 35%. Breast ultrasonography (USG) is the most common method used for additional screening. Performing routine breast ultrasonography (USG) with mammography is still a matter of debate. In our study, it has been aimed to determine the value of adding breast ultrasonography (USG) on the suspicious breast masses.Material and Methods: In our study, 121 breast lesions were evaluated in 104 patients. Files and images of patients were analyzed retrospectively. Patients who underwent mammography and ultrasound imaging were included in the study. Lesions were categorized in accordance with the Breast Imaging Reporting and Data System (BIRADS) classification. Patients were divided into two groups (under and above 45 years of age), and sensitivity and specificity rates of mammography and USG were compared. Results: Mammography of 27 patients with malignant masses was reported as BIRADS 1, 2 and 3, respectively and nothing was mentioned about malignant masses. Breast ultrasonography (USG) was not able to detect the malignant masses in 9 patients. Three patients were detected as false-positive in the breast ultrasonography (USG). patients were divided into two groups as; those older than 45 and younger than 45, were divided into two groups; it has been observed that patients who are under 45 are more sensitive, and mammography is more specific for the other group, who are above 45 years old (p

Sultansazlığı Wetland is located at 70 km south of Kayseri city and it is placed at the center of Develi Closed Basin. South (Örtülüakar) and North (Kepir) Reedfields, Yay Lake and Çöl Lake are placed at Sultansazlığı Wetland. South and North reedfields have fresh water, Yay Lake has salty water, Çöl Lake which is placed at the Northwest of Sultansazlığı has very salty water. Aim of this study is to compare the evaporation from Sultansazlığı Wetland by using the different evaporation calculation methods and to compare the evaporation observations from fresh water and salty water. In the content of the study; evaporation from free water surface of Sultansazlığı had been computed by using Penman and Artificial Neural Network Model then the evaporation results were compared with the real evaporation observations. Additionally evaporations from salty and fresh water at Yay Lake (Yenihayat) Station are compared and it is determined that total annual evaporation of fresh water is 5.1% more than the total annual evaporation of salty water, Sultansazlığı Sulak Alanı Kayseri ilinin 70 km güneyinde bulunmakta olup, Develi Kapalı Havzası’nın ortasında yer almaktadır.

In this study it is aimed to examine state-trait anxiety points of elite athletes prior to and after competition in terms of several variables. 64 athletes, who competed in the branches of Judo, taekwondo and weightlifting of Turkish National Team during Mediterranean Games, attended this study. The data of the study is obtained by using the State-Trait Anxiety Inventory-STAI which is developed by Spielberger, Gorsuch, Lushene and later adapted by Oner and Le Compte. Scales are applied to athletes prior to and after the tournament. The state anxiety points of athletes after the competition are found to be significantly low compared to the points prior to the competition. This study demonstrates parallelism with our results. In conclusion, it would not be wrong to say that the ages of athletes affect trait anxiety level. When age variable is taken into consideration trait anxiety has become effective again. Thus, increasing age of elite athletes affects trait anxiety formation, In this study it is aimed to examine state-trait anxiety points of elite athletes prior to and after competition in terms of several variables. 64 athletes, who competed in the branches of Judo, taekwondo and weightlifting of Turkish National Team during Mediterranean Games, attended this study. skin and connective tissue diseases - Abstract
Isotretinoin is used for the treatment of severe forms of acne and those resistant to therapy with systemic antibiotics and topical treatment. Although isotretinoin is very effective in the treatment of acne vulgaris, isotretinoin has been associated with various adverse effects. Since its approval and widespread use, there have been case reports and retrospective studies suggesting a possible association between isotretinoin and inflammatory bowel disease. This review summarizes the recent literature data on the possible association between isotretinoin and inflammatory bowel disease.

- Abstract
The significant part of annual runoff volume of the basins located at high altitudes with great snow potential is produced by melting of the accumulated snow in spring months. Modeling of hydrograph accumulation during melting seasons of snow is important for the operation of water resources as efficient and sustainable as possible. In this study, the simulation of hydrographs of Sariz Creek watershed in Seyhan Basin was studied for the snow melting seasons (March-April) of 2004 and 2005. Snowmelt Runoff Model (SRM), which is widely used in hydrological modeling, was applied together with Remote Sensing (RS) and Geographic Information Systems (GIS) technologies for determination of snowmelt runoff volume. SRM requires some daily climatologic variables of temperature, precipitation and snow covered area. Daily snow covered area values were determined by analyzing of MODIS satellite images with GIS. In the simulation studies, two cases were assessed. Solution has been provided as two alternatives. The simulated and observed hydrographs were compared and found in harmony. To make better and more reliable models, some improvements starting from the field observation are proposed.

Mountainous regions have a global importance with their potentials like difficult topography, changing climate, biological, cultural and ethnical diversities, unique landscape values. However, despite to all the positive qualities, mountainous areas less developed in many parts of the world due to some limitations caused by above listed values. There are too many researches done on how the sustainable development, particularly in mountainous areas can be realized, and different development models for mountainous areas are proposed. Within the content of this article, the arguments on the subject of economic development of mountainous regions and the efficiency of tourism sector on this development with its positive and negative impacts are valued by measuring the sustainability indicators, and the findings of these studies were evaluated with the “multi criteria decision making method”. The preferential development parameters were tried to be defined with the comparable results of the each province independently. Accordingly; “improving the accessibility of the region”, “supporting of foreign investments and technical cooperation”, “rates of current touristic entrepreneurs and managed by local actors” and “know-how network, structure and spreading level” parameters can be listed as having priority. For the economic development of mountainous regions, existence of local economic activities and the participatory planning processes for local people are the important steps for improving regional welfare., Dağlık alanlar, sahip oldukları potansiyeller (topografik yapı, iklim özellikleri, biyolojik çeşitlilik, kültürel veetnik çeşitlilik, eşsiz peyzaj değerleri vb.) ile dünya genelinde küresel öneme sahip alanlardır.

- Abstract
Psoriasis is a chronic inflammatory skin disorder affecting 1-3% of the population and psoriatic patients constitute 6-8% of the attendants of outpatient dermatology polyclinics. Though it is a common disease with well known clinical features, current studies have focused on the pathogenesis and the treatment of the disease while little research has focused on epidemiologic characteristics of the disease. The etiopathogenesis of psoriasis is related with immunologic, autoimmune, and genetic factors. Currently psoriasis has been considered as a disease spectrum or a systemic disease and there is a growing body of research on the pathogenesis, associating disorders and treatment of the disease.
