Paratuberculosis is an infectious disease in domestic and wild ruminants characterized by chronic diarrhea and granulomatous enteritis. The aim of the study is to determine some acute phase protein and biochemical parameter levels in cattle infected with paratuberculosis. In the study, 15 paratuberculosis-infected and 15 antibody-negative healthy bovine serums were used according to ELISA test results. The sera were used for the measurement of haptoglobin, ceruloplasmin, serum amyloid A (SAA), alkaline phosphatase (ALP), gamma-glutamyl transferase (GGT), total protein, urea, creatinine and iron. When the cattle with paratuberculosis and the animals in the control group were compared, it was determined that haptoglobin, SAA (P, Paratüberkülozis, kronik diyare ve granülomatöz enteritis ile karakterize evcil ve vahşi ruminantlarda görülen bulaşıcı bir hastalıktır. Çalışmanın amacı paratüberküloz ile enfekte sığırlarda bazı akut faz protein ve biyokimyasal parametre düzeylerinin belirlenmesidir. Amaç: COVID-19 pandemisinde yetişkinlerin gıda tercihlerindeki davranışları incelemek ve algıladıkları stres durumlarını etkileyen faktörleri saptamak amaçlandı.Yöntem: Tanımlayıcı tipteki bu araştırma ikinci kapanma sonrasında 40-64 yaş arası 372 yetişkin ile Türkiye’de e-survey olarak gerçekleştirildi. Çalışmada Algılanan Stres Ölçeği (ASÖ) ve tanımlayıcı form kullanıldı.Bulgular: COVID-19 pandemi sürecinde grubun %59.1’i hiç sipariş ile gıda alışverişi yapmamıştı. Bu süreçte en fazla tercih edilen gıdalar yumurta (%86.3), et ve et ürünleri (%85.8), süt ve süt ürünleri (%85.5), taze sebze (%84.4) ve taze meyveydi (%83.3). Katılımcıların %58.9’unun market, pazar gibi kalabalık yerlerde alışveriş yapmak istemediği, %79.6’sının gıda fiyatlarının artmasından endişe ettiği, %78.8’inin panikle gıda satın aldığı, %90.1’inin yiyecek stokladığı belirlendi. COVID-19 pandemi sürecinde en fazla stoklanan gıdalar kuru baklagiller (%58.9) ve tahıllardı (%52.2). Katılımcıların %38.7’si yeterli gıda bulunabilirliği endişesinin ve %27.7’si gıda güvenliği endişesinin arttığını belirtti. COVID-19 pandemi sürecinde panikle satın alma yapan (p=0.018) ve gıda güvenliği endişesi artan (p=0.000) katılımcıların ASÖ toplam puan ortalamalarının daha yüksek olduğu saptandı. Gıda israfı farkındalığı (p=0.003), evde yemek hazırlama davranışı (p=0.024), yeterli gıda bulunabilirliği endişesi (p=0.034) ve gıda güvenliği endişesi (p=0.000) artan katılımcıların yetersiz özyeterlilik alt boyut puan ortalamaları düşük saptandı. COVID-19 pandemi sürecinde hem kendisi hem de sipariş ile alışveriş yapan (p=0.015), panikle satın alma davranışı gösteren (p=0.000), internet aracılığı ile sipariş yapma davranışı artan (p=0.002), gıda israfı farkındalığı artan (p=0.000), evde yemek hazırlama davranışı artan (p=0.000), yeterli gıda bulunabilirliği endişesi yaşayan (p=0.000) ve gıda güvenliği endişesi yaşayan (p=0.000) katılımcıların stres/rahatsızlık alt boyut puan ortalamaları yüksekti.Sonuç: COVID-19 pandemisi gibi olağan dışı durumlarda gıda tüketicilerinin davranışlarının incelenmesi hem sağlık hem de sosyal boyutuyla önem taşımakta olup, gıda ve ekonomi politikalarının planlanmasını daha kolaylaştıracaktır., Objective: It was aimed to examinethe behaviours of adults in food preferences and to determine the factors affecting the perceived stress situations of adults during the COVID-19 pandemic.Method: This descriptive study was conducted as an e-survey in Turkeywith 372 adultsaged 40-64 years after the second closure. Perceived Stress Scale and survey with descriptive questions was used in the study.Results: During the COVID-19 pandemic, 59.1% of the group did not shop for food with any orders. In this process, the most preferred foods are eggs (86.3%), meat and meat products (85.8%), milk and dairy products (85.5%), fresh vegetables (84.4%) and fresh fruit (83.3%).58.9% of the participants do not want to shop in crowded places such as markets and bazaars. It was determined that 79.6% of them were worried about the increase in food prices, 78.8% of them bought food in panic, and 90.1% of them stocked up on food. The most stocked foods during the COVID-19 pandemic were legumes (58.9%) and cereals (52.2%). 38.7% of the participants stated that the concern about adequate food availability and 27.7% of them stated that the concern about food safety has increased. It was determined that the PSS total score averages of the participants who made panic purchases during the COVID-19 pandemic (p=0.018) and who had increased food safety concerns (p=0.000) were higher. Participants with increased awareness of food waste (p=0.003), food preparation behaviour at home (p=0.024), concern for adequate food availability (p=0.034) and food safety concerns (p=0.000) had low insufficient self-efficacy sub-dimension mean scores. Duringthe COVID-19 pandemic process, the stress/discomfort sub-dimension score averages of the participants who shopped both on-site and on order (p=0.015), showed panicky buying behaviour (p=0.000), had increased ordering behaviour via the internet (p=0.002), had increased awareness of food waste (p=0.000), had increased food preparation behaviour at home (p=0.000), was worried about adequate food availability (p=0.000), and had food safety concerns (p=0.000) were found to be high.Conclusion: Examining the behaviour of food consumers in extraordinary situations such as the COVID-19 pandemic is essential both in terms of health and social aspects and will facilitate the planning of food and economic policies.

Tekirdağ il merkezinde park, fidanlık ve yeşil alanlarda bulunan süs bitkilerinde, yaprağını döken ağaçlarda ve çalımsı bitkilerde (47 bitki türü) zararlı, avcı ve nötr akar türleri (Acari) tespit edilmiştir. Survey sonuçlarına göre Tetranychidae familyasına ait 2 tür (Tetranychus urticae Koch, Panonychus ulmi Koch); Tenuipalpidae familyasına ait 8 tür (Cenopalpus spinosus Donnadieu, C. irani Dosse (1971), C. bakeri Düzgüneş, C.pennasitesus Wainstein, Pentamerismus oregonensis McGregor, P. taxi Haller, Brevipalpus lewisi McGregor); Phytoseiidae familyasına ait 7 tür (Phytoseius finitimus Ribaga, Kampimadromus aberrans Oudemans, Euseius finlandicus Oudemans, Amblyseius andersoni Chant, Typhlodromus athiasae Porath and Swisrki, Paraseiulus triporus Chant and Yoshida-Shaul ve P.soleigner Ribaga); Tydeiidae familyasından 2 tür (Tydeus californicus Banks, T.caudatus Duges), Ascidae’den Blattisocius tarsalis Berlese ve Acaridae’den Tyrophagus putrescentiae Schrank olmak üzere toplam 20 akar türü tespit edilmiştir.Çalışmada Tetranychus urticae %47 bulunuş oranı ile en yaygın zararlı tür olarak belirlenmiştir. T.urticae’nin en çok tercih ettiği konukçuların ateş dikeni (Pyracantha coccinea) ve gül (Rosa gallica) olduğu tespit edilmiştir. Cenopalpus bakeri ikinci en sık görülen fitofag türdür (%30). Predatör ve nötr akarların bulunuş oranı %57’dir. En yaygın pradatör akar türü 172 birey ve % 56.21 bulunuş oranı ile Kampimodromus aberrans‘tır ve 17 farklı bitki türünden toplanmıştır. Catalpa bignonioides, Fraxinus excelsior, Aesculus hippocastanum ve Tilia tometosa akarın en çok kolonize olduğu bitkiler olmuştur. K. aberrans’ı avcı akar türleri Euseius finlandicus ve Phytoseius finitimus takip etmiştir.Araştırmada Tekirdağ merkezindeki yeşil alanlarda bulunan park ve süs bitkilerinin zararlı akarlarla bulaşık oldukları, bununla birlikte ciddi sayıda olmadıkları için daha yüksek populasyona sahip avcı akarlar tarafından kontrol altına alabilecekleri kanısına varılmıştır., Harmful, predatory and neutral mites were identified of ornamental plants, defoliant trees, shrubs (47 plant species) of in parks, nurseries and green areas in centre of Tekirdag province. According to the survey results, totally 20 mite species were identified as follows: two species belonged to the Tetranychidae family (Tetranychus urticae Koch, Panonychus ulmi Koch), eight species belonged to the Tenuipalpidae family (Cenopalpus spinosus Donnadieu, C.irani Dosse (1971), C.bakeri Düzgüneş, C.pennasitesus Wainstein, Pentamerismus oregonensis McGregor, P. taxi Haller, Brevipalpus lewisi McGregor); 8 species belonged to the Phytoseiidae family (Phytoseus finitimus Ribaga, Kampimadromus aberrans Oudemans, Euseius finlandicus Oudemans, Amblyseius andersoni Chant, Typhlodromus athiasae Porath and Swisrki, Paraseiulus triporus Chant and Yoshida-Shaul ve P.soleigner Ribaga); 2 species belonged to the Tydeiidae family (Tydeus californicus Banks, T.caudatus Duges), Blattisocius tarsalis Berlese from Ascidae and Tyrophagus putrescentiae Schrank from Acaridae. Tetranychus urticae was found as the most common harmful mite species with 47% prevalance rate in the study. Firethorn (Pyracantcha coccinea) and the rose (Rosa gallica) were determined as the most preferred host plants by T.urticae. Cenopalpus bakeri was the second common phytophagus species (30%). Prevalance rate of predatory and neutral mites was estimated as 57%. The most common predatory mite species found as Kampimodromus aberrans, with 172 individuals and 56.21% frequency and they were collected from 17 different plant species. Catalpa bignonioides, Fraxinus excelsior, Aesculus hippocastanum and Tilia tometosa were the most preferred hosts to colonise by this species. K. aberrans was followed by predatory mite species Euseius finlandicus and Phytoseius finitimus.The study showed that park and ornamental plants, in green areas in centre of Tekirdag are infested with harmful mite species; however, since they were not in substantial numbers, it was believed that predatory mite their higher population species might probably control them because of densities.

Amaç: Çalışmanın amacı, epigenetik regülatörlerden lizin demetilaz 6A (KDM6A) ve/veya lizin demetilaz 6B’nin (KDM6B) prostat kanseri oluşumu ve progresyonunda rol oynayan C Terminal bağlayıcı protein1 (CTBP1) ve Nörofibromatozis Tip2 (NF2) ekspresyonlarının regülasyonu üzerindeki modüle edici rolünün aydınlatılmasıdır. Yöntemler: Prostat kanseri metastatik hücreleri LNCaP’lere KDM6 ailesi selektif inhibitörü GSK-J4 uygulanıp, total RNA izolasyonu ve cDNA sentezi yapılarak; CTBP1 ve NF2 mRNA düzeylerindeki değişiklikler reverse transcription quantitative real time PCR (RT-qPCR) ile gösterilmiştir. Saptanan değişikliklerin transkripsiyonel inhibisyondan kaynaklanıp kaynaklanmadığını araştırmak üzere CTBP1 ve NF2 pre-spliced mRNA düzeylerindeki değişiklikler RT qPCR ile ölçülmüştür. KDM6A ve/veya KDM6B’nin (KDM6A/B) small interfering RNA (siRNA) aracılı susturulduğu hücrelerde CTBP1 ve NF2 mRNA düzeylerindeki değişiklikler RT-qPCR ile gösterilerek bu genlerin KDM6 enzimlerinin hangisi tarafından regüle edildiği belirlenmiştir. Bulgular: CTBP1 ve NF2 rölatif mRNA düzeyleri GSK-J4 ile %45 ve %49 azalmıştır. Saptanan azalmaların CTBP1 ve NF2 mRNA ekspresyonlarının GSK-J4 tarafından transkripsiyonel baskılanmasıyla ilişkili olup olmadığını belirlemek üzere yapılan RT-qPCR deneylerinde CTBP1 ve NF2 pre-spliced mRNA düzeyleri de %43, %29 azalmıştır. GSK-J4’ün KDM6 ailesine selektif bir inhibitör olması nedeniyle CTBP1 ve NF2 mRNA ekspresyonlarının hangi KDM6 enzimi tarafından kontrol edildiğini belirlemek amacıyla KDM6A ve/veya KDM6B susturulduğunda; KDM6A ve KDM6B dual inhibisyonunda CTBP1 ve NF2 mRNA düzeyleri %56, %39 azalmıştır. Sonuç: Özetle; GSK-J4 uygulanmasıyla CTBP1 ve NF2 mRNA düzeylerinde saptadığımız azalmaların transkripsiyondaki değişiklikten kaynaklandığı pre-spliced mRNA verilerimizle güçlü bir şekilde desteklenmiştir. KDM6A ve KDM6B’nin her ikisinin de CTBP1 ve NF2 ekspresyonlarının prostat kanserindeki regülasyonunda kontrol edici rollerinin olduğunun gösterilmesi; terapötik olarak hedeflenebilecek, KDM6A ve KDM6B aracılığıyla CTBP1 ve NF2 ekspresyonlarını modüle eden yeni bir mekanizmanın aydınlatılmasına katkı sağlayabilir.

Objective: In this study, we aimed to evaluate the impact of Covid-19 pandemic on children with neurodevelopmental disorders through Tele-Medicine system. Method: Children aged between 7-18 years old with neurodevelopmental disorders were evaluated. On the routine control visit day, they and their parents were called by phone via the Tele-Medicine system and a questionnaire prepared by the researchers was applied to evaluate the compliance process to the pandemic. The disease severity of the cases was evaluated by the Clinical Global Impression Scale. Results: In our study, 17.6% of the cases were girls and 82.4% were boys. The average age is 11.66 +/- 3.46 years. In this study 51% of the cases were diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder; 47.1% with Intellectual Disability and 17.6% with Special Learning Disorder. The comorbidity of Attention Deficit and Hyperactivity Disorder was found to be 49%. Increased anxiety is reported by 25.5% of the cases, appetite and nutritional problems by %37.3 and sleep pattern changes by 62.7%. Pre-pandemic score of Clinical Global Impression Scale was evaluated as 3.82 +/- 0.81, and the score during the pandemic as 4.09 +/- 0.87. Discussion: It was found that, in the early period of the Covid-19 pandemic, the most common problems of the cases with neurodevelopmental disorder were the sleep pattern changes, appetite and nutritional problems and increased anxiety. It is thought that our findings will guide psychosocial support interventions for children and adolescents with developmental problems during the pandemic.

For most of the history of epistemology, a central, perhaps central, issue has been the problem of the external world. When asked about our knowledge of the outside world, two things are usually presupposed: the first is the concept of knowledge, the second is the concept of the external World, no matter how vague and schematic. How do we know the existence of external objects? In other words, how do our perceptions ensure which objects we perceive and that they can exist even when we do not perceive them? The question pointed out can be answered with the perceptual representation theory of empiricism. Because empiricism relates certain pieces of information to certain situations of deception. John Locke, considered an empiricist, goes to the distinction between appearance and reality, basing the outside world on his theory of representation. Thus, he has to admit that his perception is consistent with certain exceptions. This study, on the one hand, searches for an answer to the question of how it is possible to justify belief in the existence of objects in the external world and to be accepted as knowledge from an empiricist point of view, on the other hand, it will present an analysis by applying the principles of empiricism in Locken's epistemology to the problem of the external world.

Objective: This study aimed to evaluate the effect of seeing relatives before the coronary angiography procedure on the anxiety level of the patients.Method: The study used a pretest-posttest control group quasi-experimental design and was carried out between September 2016- April 2017 with 79 patients who were planned to undergo coronary angiography for the first time in the angiography laboratory of an university hospital. The data were collected based on the self-report of the patients the face-to-face interview technique using a "Descriptive Information Form" and "State-Trait Anxiety Scale" (STAI). The patients in the experimental group were allowed to wait with their relatives in a separate room until the angiography procedure started, the control group patients were not intervened. The SPSS 22 software package was employed to evaluate the data. The analyses included numbers, percentage distributions, chi-square, and t-test. Results: The mean age of the patients in the study was 61.21 + 1.01, and 63.3% were male. The pre and post-angiography mean state anxiety scores of the intervention group were 58.52 + 9.03 and 60.30 + 6.84 and the control group were 56.53 + 9.98; 52.51 + 6.30. The difference between the mean pre and post-procedure scale scores of the intervention group was found to be statistically significant. The difference between the mean of the post-angiography STAI scores of the intervention and control groups was found statistically significant. Conclusion: As a result of the study, it was found that family support wasn’t effective in reducing the acute period anxiety during the coronary angiography procedure., Amaç: Bu araştırmada koroner anjiografi işlemi öncesinde hastaların yakınları ile görüşmelerinin anksiyete düzeyine etkisinin değerlendirilmesi amaçlanmıştır.Yöntem: Araştırma bir üniversite hastanesi anjiografi laboratuvarında, Eylül 2016- Nisan 2017 tarihleri arasında ilk kez koroner anjiografi olacak 79 hasta ile ön test-son test yarı deneysel olarak yapılmıştır. Veriler “Tanıtıcı Bilgi Formu” ve “Durumluluk-Süreklilik Anksiyete Ölçeği” (STAI) kullanılarak yüz yüze görüşme tekniği ile hastaların öz bildirimine dayalı olarak toplanmıştır. Deney grubundaki hastalar ayrı bir odada yakınları ile anjiografi işlemi başlayıncaya kadar beklemesi sağlanmış, kontrol grubu hastalara ise müdahale edilmemiş normal bekleme prosedürü uygulanmıştır. Verilerin değerlendirilmesinde SPSS 22 programı kullanılmıştır. Sayı, yüzde dağılımları ki kare, t test analizleri yapılmıştır.Bulgular: Araştırmaya katılan hastaların yaş ortalaması 61.21+1.01 ve %63.3’ü erkektir. Deney grubunun anjiografi öncesi durumluluk anksiyete puan ortalaması 58.52+9.03; işlem sonrası 60.30+6.84, kontrol grubunun ise işlem öncesi 56.53+9.98; işlem sonrası 52.51+6.30 bulunmuştur. AMAÇ: Son yıllarda nötrofil/lenfosit oranı (NLO), platelet/lenfosit oranı (PLO) ve lenfosit/monosit oranı (LMO) oranları inflamasyonun bir göstergesi olarak çeşitli hastalıkların tanı ve takibinde kullanılmaktadır. Çalışmamızda da kronik otit hastalarında, inflamasyonla yakından ilişkili olduğu gösterilmiş olan kolesteatomun NLO, PLO ve LMO ile ilişkisinin incelenmesi amaçlanmıştır. GEREÇ ve YÖNTEM: Kliniğimizde 2013-2019 yılları arasında kronik otit nedeniyle ameliyat edilen 138 hastanın dosyaları retrospektif olarak incelendi. Hastalar grup 1: kolesteatomlu kronik otit, grup 2: kolesteatomsuz kronik otit olarak sınıflandırıldı. Tüm hastaların yaş, cinsiyet, NLO, PLO, LMO verileri incelenerek kaydedildi ve gruplar arasında karşılaştırıldı. BULGULAR: Grup 1’de 61 grup 2’de 77 hasta vardı. Gruplar arasında yaş ortalamaları açısından fark yoktu. Grup 1’de bayan hasta oranı grup 2 ye oranla daha düşüktü (p=0,042). Gruplar arasında kan hücrelerinin birbirine oranları incelendiğinde NLO, grup 1'de grup 2'ye göre anlamlı düzeyde yüksek izlenirken (p=0,006), PLO ve LMO da gruplar arasında istatistiksel açıdan anlamlı fark izlenmedi (sırasıyla p=0,913, p=0,111). NLO ≥1,734 kesme (cut-off) değeri, kolesteatom varlığını göstermede %75,4 duyarlılık ve %46,8 özgüllükte anlamlı olarak izlendi. SONUÇ: Çalışmamızda farklı hastalıkların tanı ve takiplerinde inflamasyon göstergesi olarak anlamlı bilgiler verdiği gösterilen NLO’nın kolesteatom varlığını tahmin etmede de anlamlı olduğu görülmüştür. Kronik otit ve eşlik eden retraksiyon, adezyon veya sık enfeksiyon şikâyeti olan ve timpanoplasti sonrası nüks veya rezidü kolesteatom açısından risk taşıyan bireylerin takiplerinde NLO’nın değerlendirilmesinin hastaların takipleri açısından faydalı olabileceğini düşünmekteyiz.

Bu çalışmada, Sazan Balığı (Cyprinus carpio) pullu derisinden elde edilen kollajen içerikli sıvı özütün teke spermasının dondurulabilirliği üzerine etkisinin belirlenmesi amaçlandı. Çalışmada, toplam 36 ejakülat altı baş tekeden gün aşırı elektro-ejakülatör ile alındı. En az +++ mass aktivite, %70 motilite ve 2x109 spermatozoon/mL özelliğe sahip sperma örnekleri birleştirilerek her grup için 4 eşit kısma bölündü. Sperma iki aşamalı sulandırma methodu ile final konsantrasyonu 1/5 (sperma/sulandırıcı) olacak şekilde; kollajen içermeyen kontrol grubu (K)ve farklı konsantrasyonda kollajen içeren (%1, %5 ve %10; sırasıyla K1, K5 ve K10) Tris-Na sitrat sulandırıcısı ile sulandırıldı. Payetlerprogramlanabilir dondurma makinasında donduruldu ve daha sonra sıvı azot içine aktarıldı. Her gruptan en az 3 payet 37ºC/30sn’de eritilerek eritme sonrası değerlendirmeler yapıldı. Sperma taze ve dondurma sonrası aşamalarda; motilite, plazma membran bütünlüğü Hypo-Osmotic Swelling Test (HOST) ve akrozom hasarı yönünden FITC-Pisum sativum agglutinin (FITC-PSA) boyama ile değerlendirildi. Eritmesonrası deney gruplarının motilite değerleri karşılaştırıldığında, kollajen içeren grupların motilitelerinin kollajen içermeyen kontrol grubuna göre daha yüksek olduğu gözlemlendi (P0.05). Sonuç olarak; teke spermasının dondurulmasında kullanılan sulandırıcılara%1, %5 ve %10 oranında kollajenin katılmasının motilite ve plazma membran bütünlüğü üzerine olumlu etkisi gözlemlendi., Bu çalışmada, Sazan Balığı (Cyprinus carpio) pullu derisinden elde edilen kollajen içerikli sıvı özütün teke spermasının dondurulabilirliği üzerine etkisinin belirlenmesi amaçlandı. Programlanabilir dondurma makinasında dondurulan payetler sıvı azot içine aktarıldı. Her gruptan en az 3 payet 37ºC/30sn’de eritilerek eritme sonrası değerlendirmeler yapıldı. Sperma taze aşamada ve eritme sonrası aşamalarda; motilite, plazma membran bütünlüğü Hypo-Osmotic Swelling Test (HOST) ve akrozom hasarı yönünden FITC-Pisum sativum agglutinin (FITC-PSA) boyama ile değerlendirildi. Eritme sonrası sulandırıcı gruplarının motilite değerleri karşılaştırıldığında, kollajen içeren grupların motilitelerinin kollajen içermeyen kontrol grubuna göre daha yüksek olduğu (P0.05). Motilite ile paralellik gösteren plazma membran bütünlüğünün, kollajen ilave edilen gruplarda kontrol grubuna göre daha yüksek olduğu tespit edildi (P0.05).Sonuç olarak; teke spermasının dondrulumasında kullanılan sulandırıcılara %1, %5 ve %10 oranında kollajenin katılmasının motilite, plazma membran ve akrozom bütünlüğü üzerine olumlu etkisi gözlemlendi.

In this study, milling tests were carried out oncommercially pure molybdenum. The tests were conducted at various cuttingparameters using carbide cutting tools without coolant. The cutting forcesacting on the workpiece during the milling tests were measured. In addition,the cutting forces were aimed to be determined through finite element analysis(FEA) method. Deform-3D software was used for finite element analysis. Thecutting tool was modelled through reverse engineering approach using GeomagicDesign X software. The measured cutting force results were compared with thefinite element analysis results and a good correlation (a 10 % difference) wasseen between the measured and modelled results., Bu çalışmada, ticari saflıktakimolibden sementit karbür kesici takım kullanılarak farklı işlem değişkenlerindefrezeleme işlemine tabi tutulmuştur. İşleme esnasında oluşan kesme kuvvetleriölçülmüştür. Ayrıca, kesme kuvvetlerinin sonlu elemanlar analizi (SEA)kullanılarak belirlenmesi amaçlanmıştır. Sonlu elemanlar analizi için Deform-3Dyazılımı kullanılmıştır. Kesici takım, tersine mühendislik teknikleri ileGeomagic Design X yazılımında modellenmiştir. Farklı işlem değişkenleri ve kuruişleme şartları altında yapılan deneyler sonucu elde edilen veriler ile sonluelemanlar analizi ile elde edilen sonuçlar karşılaştırılmıştır. Deneyselçalışmalar sonucu elde edilen kesme kuvvetleri ile sonlu elemanlar analizsonucu elde edilen sonuçlar karşılaştırıldığında %10 mertebelerinde bir farkile sonuçların tutarlı olduğu görülmüştür.

ÖZETAmaç: İnfantil hemanjiomlar (İH) endotel hücrelerinin benign proliferasyonlarıdır. Çocukluk çağının en sık görülen benign tümörleridir. İH’ın çoğu kendiliğinden gerilerken, yaklaşık %10'u medikal tedavi gerektirir. İH’ın medikal tedavisinde kortikosteroidler, interferon ve vinkristin eskiden beri kullanılan ajanlardır. Son yıllarda topikal beta-blokörler teröpatik etkinliklerinin gösterilmesi ve sistemik yan etkilerin daha az görülmesi nedeniyle IH tedavisinde alternatif bir tedavi yöntemi olarak kullanılmaya başlanmıştır. Bu çalışmada, topikal beta-bloker kullanılan yüzeyel İH hastalarının epidemiyolojik özellikleri ve tedavi etkinliğinin değerlendirilmesi amaçlanmıştır. Gereç ve yöntem: Erzurum Bölge Eğitim ve Araştırma Hastanesi Çocuk Hematoloji-Onkoloji polikliniğine Nisan 2015 ile Mayıs 2017 tarihleri arasında başvuran, yaşları 0-36 ay arasında olan 30 hasta çalışmaya dahil edildi. This study aims to find out the effects of a suburban railway investment on population change. Based on this quest, we hypothesize that reliable and fast rail transit service, which connects main destinations in an urban region has a significant role in population increase nearby its stations. In this vein, we use IZBAN Suburban rail as fast rail transit service in Izmir urban region as case study. Accordingly, population changes between 2013 and 2018 in the neighborhoods, where there is direct access to IZBAN stations, are examined in relation to other neighborhoods by Analysis of Covariance (ANCOVA) statistical models. Two model groups are devised in the study. Basic Models examine the impact of IZBAN Neighborhoods considering Izmir sub-regions, i.e., North, Metropolitan Area and South Sub-Region, while Expanded Models estimate interaction variables to account for spatial variation in population changes. We find significant relative increase in the populations of non-metropolitan neighbourhoods served by IZBAN stations. There is high variation between different sub-regions and IZBAN sections. Population increase is higher in the Northern and Southern sub-regions, which leads us to reach IZBAN-induced decentralization in the metropolitan area. Although, IZBAN exemplify an incipient transit-oriented development in Turkey, it falls short of its counterparts in the world. Strategic planning decisions are needed to support transit-oriented development around IZBAN stations.

Bu deneysel çalışmada, çok ince taneli yüksek fırın cüruflu çimento (Spinor A6) ile stabilize edilmiş düşük plastisiteli killi zeminin bazı mühendislik özelliklerinin belirlenmesi amaçlanmıştır. Öncelikle, %8, %10 ve %12 oranlarında Spinor A6 karıştırılarak elde edilen killi zemin numunelerinin temel geoteknik özellikleri deneysel olarak tespit edilmiştir. Daha sonra, optimum su muhtevası ve maksimum kuru birim hacim ağırlığında sıkıştırılmış Spinor A6 katkılı killi zemin numuneler üzerinde tek eksenli serbest basınç, sıkışabilirlik ve şişme deneyleri yapılmıştır. Deneysel veriler, düşük plastisiteli killi zeminin Spinor A6 ile stabilize edilme sonrası, 90. gün sonunda dayanımının açık ortamda bekletilen numunelerde 9 ile 14 kat, streçe sarılı halde bekletilmiş numunelerde 9 ile 12 kat arasında arttığını göstermiştir. Ayrıca 90. gün sonunda sıkışabilirliğin açık ortamda bekletilen numunelerde 18,3 ile 19,2 kat arasında, streçe sarılı halde bekletilmiş numunelerde ise 17,6 ile 18,5 kat arasında azaldığı tespit edilmiştir. Son olarak, şişme potansiyelinin ise 90. gün sonunda açık ortamda bekletilen numunelerde 67,5 ile 270,0 kat arasında, streçe sarılı halde bekletilmiş numunelerde ise 54,0 ile 101,2 kat arasında azaldığı belirlenmiştir.

Background: In order to improve the quality of life of newborns, it isimportant to detect the earliest visual problems. This study aimed to determinethe refractive status in healthy term babies and to investigate whether thereis a correlation between refractive status and birth weightMaterials and Methods: Two hundred and three healthy full-term babiesat an age of postnatal 8 weeks were included in the study. In order to evaluaterefractive status handheld autorefractometer device was used in all subjects.The types of refractive errors were analyzed both in right and left eyesseparately. Measurements taken under cycloplegic condition were analyzed forspherical equivalent, astigmatism and anisometropia.Results: Hypermetropia was found as the most common refractive erroramong the participants (65% in right eyes, 62% in left eyes). With the ruleastigmatism is found to be the most common astigmatic pattern in both eyes (75%in right eyes, 70% in left eyes). Anisometropia incidence was found to be 8%. Nocorrelation between refractive status and birth weight (p=0.105 r=-0.280)Conclusion: Hypermetropia and with the rule astigmatism is the mostcommon refractive error in term babies and there is no relationship betweenrefractive status and birth weight in healthy infants born in term., Amaç: Yenidoğanların yaşam kalitesini arttırmak için en erkengörsel problemleri tespit etmek önemlidir. Bu çalışmada sağlıklı termbebeklerde refraktif durumun belirlenmesi ve refraktif durum ile doğum ağırlığıarasında bir korelasyon olup olmadığı araştırıldı.Gereç ve Yöntem: Çalışmaya doğum sonrası 8haftalık term doğan iki yüz üç sağlıklı bebek alındı. Kırılma durumunudeğerlendirmek için tüm olgularda el otorefraktometre cihazı kullanıldı.Kırılma kusurları hem sağ hem de sol gözde ayrı ayrı analiz edildi. Sikloplejikkoşullar altında yapılan ölçümler, sferik eşdeğer, astigmatizma ve anizometropiaçısından analiz edildi.Bulgular: Hipermetropi, katılımcılararasında en sık kırılma kusuru olarak saptadı(sağ gözlerde % 65, sol gözlerde %62). Kurala uygun astigmatizma her iki gözde de en sık rastlanan astigmatikpatern tespit edildi (sağ gözlerde % 75, sol gözlerde % 70). Anizometriinsidansı% 8 olarak bulundu. Kırılma durumu ile doğum ağırlığı arasındakorelasyon bulunmadı (p = 0.105 r = -0.280).Sonuç: Hipermetropi ve kurala uygun astigmatizmaterm doğan sağlıklı türk bebeklerde en sık görülen kırma kusuru olup, bubebeklerde kırılma kusuru ile doğum ağırlığı arasında bir ilişki yoktur.

AmaçAltıncı sinir felci tanısıyla takip ve tedavi edilen hastaların etiyolojik nedenleri, klinik özellikleri ve uygulanantedavi yaklaşımlarını değerlendirmek.Gereç ve YöntemGülhane Eğitim ve Araştırma Hastanesi şaşılık biriminde altıncı sinir felci nedeniyle Ocak 1999 - Mayıs2016 tarihleri arasında takip edilen 53 hastanın dosyaları retrospektif olarak incelendi. Olgular tıbbi öykü,yaş, cinsiyet, lateralite, etyoloji, tedavi öncesi kaymave kısıtlılık miktarı, uygulanan tedavi şekli, tedavi vetakip sonucu ve takip süresi açısından değerlendirildi.BulgularTakip edilen toplam 53 hastanın 28’i erkek (%52.8’i),25’i kadın (%47.2) ve yaş ortalamaları 38.98 ± 20.74yıl idi. Etiyolojik neden olarak 16 travma (%30.2), 10tümörler ve onların cerrahi çıkarımı (%18.9), 8 idiopatik (%15.1), 7 serebrovasküler olaylar (%13.2), 3doğumsal sebepler (%5.7), 3 diyabet (%5.7), 3 hipertansiyon (%5.7), 3 diğer sebepler (%5.7) tespit edildi.Ortalama takip süresi 11.4 ± 7.97 ay idi. Hastaların37’sine (%69.8) konservatif tedavi, 16’sına (%30.2)cerrahi tedavi uygulandı. Amaç: Bu çalışmada Duchenne Musküler Distrofi (DMD)’li çocukların alt ekstremite fonksiyonel seviyesi ile gövde kontrolü ve solunum fonksiyonları arasındaki ilişkinin incelenmesi amaçlandı.Yöntem: Çalışmamıza yaşları 6-16 yıl arasında, 23 Duchenne Musküler Distrofi’li çocuk dahil edildi. Çocukların alt ekstremite fonksiyonel seviyesi (Brooke Alt Ekstremite Fonksiyonel Sınıflandırması), gövde kontrolü, (Gövde Kontrol Ölçüm Skalası), kas kuvveti (manuel kuvvet ölçüm cihazı) ve solunum fonksiyonları (Solunum Fonksiyon Testi) değerlendirildi.Bulgular: Çalışmamızda Brooke Alt Ekstremite Fonksiyonel Sınıflandırması’nın, Gövde Kontrol Ölçüm Skalası’nın statik oturma dengesi, dinamik oturma dengesi, dinamik uzanma (denge reaksiyonları) alt başlıkları ve toplam puanı ve solunum fonksiyonlarının FVC ve PEF beklenen yüzde değerleri ile anlamlı düzeyde ilişkili olduğu (p0,05).Tartışma: Çalışmamızda Duchenne Musküler Distrofi’de, gövde kontrolü ve solunum fonksiyonlarının alt ekstremite fonksiyonel seviyesi üzerinde önemli rol oynadığı gösterildi. Functional classification of lower extremities in children (Brooke Lower Extremity Functional Classification), trunk control (Trunk Control Measurement Scale), muscle strength (handheld dynamometer) and respiratory functions (Respiratory Function Test) was evaluated.Results: In our study, it was shown that Brooke Lower Extremity Functional Classification was significantly associated with static sitting balance, dynamic sitting balance, dynamic reach (balance reactions) parameters and total score of Trunk Control Measurement Scale, and FVC and PEF expected percentage values (p 0.05).Conclusion: In our study, it was shown that trunk control and pulmonary functions play an important role on lower extremity functional level in Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy. These results suggested that the trunk can be effective in determining the functional level of the children together with the respiratory parameters, and that trunk control should be added to the evaluation approaches for Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy from the early stage.

The agriculture and livestock sectors increased their production capacities by the increasing population. Thus, the environmental risks arising from the farms and agricultural areas that are generating more waste are also increased. Especially, animal wastes cannot be taken under control and unconsciously thrown into rivers, estuaries, open areas or irrigation canals, resulting in the destruction of the biological structure of the region soil and the endangered environmental health of insect, mosquito and odor problems. Surface and groundwater exposure to nitrogen and phosphorus pollution affects the health of all living things in the region. In addition, various gases resulting from waste accumulation rapidly pollute the regional air and cause the propagation of harmful microorganisms. From the environmental problems created by the wastewater, the treatment of the livestock wastewater sequential anaerobic upflow sludge bed reactor / aerobic continuous stirred tank reactor has been investigated. An aerobic CSTR reactor was used to break down the residual organic pollution following the anaerobic UASB reactor. The chemical oxygen demand (COD) removal and the amount of methane gas were measured at different organic loading rates (3.53-10.59 kg COD/m(3)day) in the system. In study, the highest COD removal efficiency in anaerobic UASB reactor was reached as 90.3% at an organic loading rate of 7.06 kgCOD/m(3)day. The highest measured methane gas rate in the biogas formed in the anaerobic treatment section was 65%. The results show that the treatability of the livestock wastewater is a good alternative anaerobic upflow sludge bed reactor / aerobic continuous mixing tank reactor.

Many different methods have been used for treatment of functional insufficiency in upper stroke for post stroke patients. Recently, mirror therapy has also been used for stroke rehabilitation as well as conventional treatment. In this study, a haptic glove located in a sensitive to different stimuli and externally controllable is designed In order to improve the effectiveness of mirror therapy. The designed haptic glove is manufactured using 3D printing technology., İnme sonrası, üst ekstremite de görülen fonksiyonel yetersizliğintedavisinde birçok farklı yöntem kullanılmaktadır. Son yıllarda, inmerehabilitasyonunda alışılmış tedavilerin yanında ayna tedavisi dekullanılmaktadır. Klasikayna terapisi tedavilerinde düz bir ayna yardımıyla aktif kullanılan uzuvhareketi ayna görüntüsüyle felçli uzuv hareket ediyormuş gibi hastayagösterilmektedir. Bu çalışmada ayna terapisininetkinliğini geliştirmek amacıyla tasarlanan haptik eldiven tanıtılmaktadır.Tasarlanan eldiven, sağlam elden uyarıcılar aracılığıyla alınan sinyali, inmeliel parmaklarına aktarmaktadır. Dışarıdan denetlenebilen ve üzerinde çeşitliuyarıcıların olduğu haptik eldiven, 3D yazıcı teknolojisi kullanılarak imaledilmiştir.

Siğiller, deri üzerinde HPV virüsünün sebep olduğu bir rahatsızlıktır. Belli bir süre sonra kendiliğinden geçmesine rağmen, görüntüsünün kötü olması ve günlük yaşamı olumsuz etkilemesinden dolayı hastalar genellikle tedavi olmayı tercih etmektedirler. Siğil tedavisinde belirli bir yöntem olmadığından, uzmanlar tedavi yöntemi seçiminde siğil türü ve hastanın fizyolojik özelliklerini dikkate almaktadırlar. Bu çalışmada, birçok türü bulunan siğillerden, plantar ve common siğiller için tedavi yöntemlerinin seçimi üzerinde durulmaktadır. Bu siğil türlerinin tedavisinde, İmmünoterapi ve Kriyoterapi yaygın olarak kullanılan yöntemlerdendir. Kriyoterapi, uygulaması kolay ve etkili bir tedavi yöntemi olup, İmmünoterapi ise son zamanlarda yaygınlaşan ve siğil tedavisinde yüksek oranda başarı elde edilen bir yöntemdir. Bu makalede amaç, tedavi seçiminde uzmanlara yardımcı olmak ve hastalara uygun tedavi yönteminin belirlenmesi için, veri madenciliği algoritmalarını uygun bir şekilde kullanmaktır. Bibliotherapy can be used to help individuals cope with people’s problems by gaining inside themselves through books. Bibliotherapy can be divided into two classes as “clinical” and “developmental bibliotherapy”. Clinical bibliotherapy is used by mental health professionals in problem situations. Developmental bibliotherapy is also used by specialists or trainers to prevent or address daily life problems that may be encountered during normal development. The aim of this study is to theoretically evaluate and exemplify the use of bibliotherapy with preschool children., Bibliyoterapi, insanların okudukları yazılı kaynakların davranış ve tutumlarını etkilemesi, bunların etkisi ile şekillenmesi ya da değişmesine dayanmaktadır. Bibliyoterapinin kullanım amacı kitaplar aracılığı ile bireyin kendisini tanıyıp iç görü kazanabilmesine, problemleri ile baş etmesine yardımcı olabilmektir. WOS: 000458655400014 In the present study, the physical, chemical, thermal and mechanical properties of polyesters used in the production of composite materials were investigated by using initiators at different ratios. In scope of the study, orthophtalic and isophtalic resins were used. Methyl ethyl keton peroxide (MEKP) has been used as initiator with different ratio; 1,0%, 1,5%, 2,0% and 2,5% (v/v). Cobalt octaoate (C16H30CoO4) was added as catalyst in the rate of 1% to increase curing rate and yield of polymerization. Gelation temperature, gelation time, peak exotherm temperature and viscosity analysis were carried out to determine those physical parameters. Thermal stabilities were determined with Thermogravimetric analyzes (TGA). Fourier transform Infrared Spectroscopy (FT-IR) was used to investigate the molecular interaction in the end of the polymerization. Mechanical properties (tensile strength, elastic modulus, flexture strength and flexture modulus) were determined with the Universal Test Machine. As the result, the mechanical properties of the unsaturated polyester resin changed based on the initiator ratio. When the relation between initiator ratio and the mechanical properties is examined, mechanical strengths of the composites composed of the isophthalic resin have generally higher than the composites composed of the orthophtalic resin. Optimum initiator ratio for mechanical strength values were determined as 1% for the composites obtained from isophtalic and orthophtalic resins. Günümüz teknolojilerindeki gelişmeler, yüksekbant genişliğine sahip haberleşme kanallarının varlığı ve büyük video servissağlayıcılarının tüketici piyasasına girmesi 3 Boyutlu (3B) videoteknolojilerinin hızlı gelişim göstermesine neden olmuştur. 3B videoteknolojilerine geri bildirim oluşturabilmesi ve bu gelişime destek olmasıdolayısı ile 3B Video Kalite Değerlendirmesi (VKD) günümüzde 3B video servissağlayıcıları için oldukça bir ihtiyaç haline gelmiştir. Literatürde zamanalıcı ve maliyetli öznel testlerin yerini alabilecek, verimli, güvenilir veyaygın olarak kullanılan nesnel bir 3B VKD metriği bulunmadığından 3B VKDyerine kullanılan 2 Boyutlu (2B) VKD metriklerinin çoğu Tam Referanslı (TR) yada Azaltılmış Referanslı (AR) metriklerdir. Bu metriklerin hem gerçek zamanlıkalite ölçümü gerçekleştirmelerindeki eksiklikten hem de 3B videoların iletimiiçin yüksek bant genişliğine ihtiyaç duyulmasından ötürü bu yöntemlerin verimliolmadığı anlaşılmıştır. Dolayısıyla orijinal videodan ek bir bilgi gerekmedenalıcı tarafta sadece sıkıştırılmış 3B videoyu kullanarak değerlendirme yapanreferanssız bir 3B VKD metriğinin kullanılması elzem olmuştur. Geliştirilen bu metrik kullanılarak elde edilenverimli sonuçlar metriğin 3B video servislerinin geliştirilmesine büyük katkısağlayabileceğini göstermiştir., 3-Dimensional (3D) video technologies present rapidimprovement due the development of today’s technologies, the presence of thecommunication channels having high bandwidth capacities, and the entrance ofthe powerful video service providers into the consumer electronics market. 3DVideo Quality Assessment (VQA) becomes a must for the 3D video serviceproviders via feedback it provides to the 3D video technologies and its supportto this improvement. There is currently lack of an efficient, reliable, andcommonly utilized objective 3D VQA metric that is preferable than thetime-consuming and costly subjective tests. The 2-Dimensional (2D) VQA metricsused instead of the 3D VQA metrics to fulfill this lack are mostly FullReference (FR) metrics or Reduced Reference (RR) metrics. These metrics areconsidered inefficient due to their insufficiency at online quality evaluationand requirement of high bandwidth capacity during the 3D video transmission.Therefore, there becomes a need for a No Reference (NR) 3D VQA metric that doesnot require any information related to the original video but only uses thecompressed 3D video for the assessment. In this study, a NR 3D VQA metric whichis based on Structural Complexity (SC) formed using edge information of theobjects existing in a 3D video is developed. The efficient results obtainedusing the proposed metric prove that tremendous support can be provided toimprove the 3D video services using the proposed metric.

WOS: 000407104500010, Bellini duct carcinoma is highly aggressive tumor with poor prognosis. Metastases develop in most patients. Early diagnosis is very important and might increase the patient's life span. Various treatment protocols including radiotherapy, chemotherapy and immunotherapy have been adopted. However, these treatments do not create satisfactory results. We aimed to present an 80-year-old female patient who underwent left radical nephrectomy due to the presence of a cystic mass with the dimensions of 96x91x118 mm that was located in the upper pole of the left kidney. Pathology resulted as "collecting duct carcinoma" with lymph node metastasis. Metastatic lesions were observed in bilateral cerebellar hemispheres, cerebral hemispheres and brain stem of the patient on the magnetic resonance images that were obtained when the patient was admitted to the emergency service at the postoperative 10th day with hemifacial paralysis. Bellini duct carcinoma is a rare and aggressive type of kidney tumor with a low survival rate. A curative treatment option is still not available in the contemporary literature for this tumor which is mostly locally advanced or metastatic at the time of diagnosis.
