- Abstract
The purpose of this study is to develop a Teachers' Autonomy on Curriculum Scale. For this aim, an item pool consisted of 50-item was prepared for the study. These scale items were reduced to 29 items after expert review and pilot implementation. This preliminary form was applied to 178 science teachers working in secondary schools in Izmir, Turkey. Validity and reliability studies have been done and Cronbach's Alpha internal consistency coefficient was calculated as 0.82. The scale is four-dimensional and reveals 67.4% of the total variance. The scale has four sub-scales (Professional Autonomy, Process Autonomy, Assessment Autonomy, and Planning Autonomy). Confirmatory factor analysis results support that the scale consisted of four subscales (RMSEA= 0.05, CFI= 0.98, AGFI= 0.89, RMR= 0.05, GFI= 0.93, SRMR= 0.06).

- Abstract
The aim is to develop a scale to demonstrate the instructional approaches that teachers apply in inclusive preschool classrooms, where typically developed and talented/gifted children are educated together. A total of 156 teachers working in inclusive preschools in Ankara formed the study group. The scale consists of 22 five-point, Likert-type items. Both exploratory and confirmatory factor analyses were performed. As a result of the exploratory factor analysis, a structure consisting of three factors and 18 items was obtained. The first factor termed as 'Differentiation' consists of seven items, while the second factor, 'Detection and Development of Potential' consists of eight items, and the third factor of the scale, 'Motivation' consists of three items. The scale accounts for 44.61% of the total variance. As a result of the confirmatory factor analysis, it determined that the scale was in good agreement with the model in general. The Cronbach alpha internal consistency coefficient of the scale is defined as .88 and the reliability of the subscales is determined between 0.76 and 0.83. In addition, the correlation coefficients of the items in each factor are higher than 0.30. In general, it is found that the three-factor structure of the scale is valid and reliable.

- Abstract
The purpose of this study was to develop a valid and reliable scale to identify the perception management tactics used by school administrators. For this purpose, a 42-item measurement tool, which was developed based on interviews with 6 School Principals, 11 Assistant Principals and 28 Teachers from different branches, was presented to eight domain experts to verify the content validity. The remaining 35-item measuring instrument was applied to 295 teachers working in the Turkish provinces during the 2017-2018 school year. The reliability coefficient (Cronbach [alpha]) of the scale was calculated, and factor-based discrimination procedures, item-remaining and item-total correlations, and relationship analysis between factors were performed. As a result, 13 items with low correlation than 0.30 were subtracted. A 22-item scale consisting of one factor was obtained. Subsequently, CFAs were conducted (n=368) to assess the dimensionality and to identify the latent factors that accounted for the variation in the set of indicators. At the end of the study, the CFA revealed that the model had an acceptable fit to data according to most indices: X[subscript 2] = 498,213, p < 0.05, TLI=0.93, CFI = 0.95, GFI= 0.865, RMSEA = 0.68, SRMR = 0.032. Ultimately, determining perception management tactics used by school administrators scale can be said to be a valid and reliable measuring tool.

- Abstract
The aim of the study is to investigate how university students perceive academicians' democratic values, and whether their perceptions on it differ significantly according to certain variables. Designed as a descriptive quantitative research, this study employs of 248 students studying at the Faculty of Education and Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences in Usak University as its participants. "The Scale of Students' Perceptions of the Academicians' Democratic Values" was developed and utilized for the study by the researcher. The resulting 6-dimension structure explains 62,831% of the phenomenon in total. In addition to the construct validity, Cronbach's Alpha Internal Consistency Coefficient was calculated and it was found, 927. The academicians' perceived level of having democratic values was found to be 2,43. The findings indicated that the academicians had democratic attitudes at low levels based on the students' perceptions. They attributed much more importance to "respecting institutional rules and regulations" and "giving importance to equality" compared to other four dimensions. The academicians give least importance to the "democratic role modelling behaviours." Furthermore, the results indicated that there were statistically significant differences according to some demographic "variables."

CLUSTER analysis (Statistics) , *FACTOR analysis , *HIERARCHICAL clustering (Cluster analysis) , *NEW business enterprises , *SOCIOECONOMIC factors - Abstract
At the beginning of the Vojvodina Economic Development Program, which supports the local prosperity of the Hungarian community in Vojvodina, the need to support start-ups and start new businesses arose. Bringing the unemployed back into the world of work, through the acquisition of entrepreneurial competences and the encouragement of starting an independent business, are clearly measures that provide a perspective and a liveable vision of the future for the most economically endangered social groups, that are highly exposed to emigration (KOMS 2023). The possibility of getting back into the world of work and ensuring the development path of micro-enterprises significantly and directly contributes to the formation of a positive vision of the future and the strengthening of the possibility of prosperity locally. The main goal of this study is to investigate the effect of the territorial inequalities of Vojvodina municipalities on business launching, to determine the socio-economic indicators that encourage successful business launching, as well as to exploring the professional differences between start-ups and launching businesses based on the analysis of domestic and international literature. The complex phenomenon of the development potential of start-up businesses, the incubation potential of the municipalities, and the competitiveness of the start-ups were examined using factor analysis during this research. The hierarchical cluster analysis was made using the WARD'S method. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

CONFIRMATORY factor analysis , *EXPLORATORY factor analysis , *EMERGENCY management , *FACTOR analysis , *FACTOR structure , *HEALTH Belief Model - Abstract
Earthquakes are natural hazards that can lead to adverse outcomes. However, it is possible to prevent such hazards from turning into disasters through efficient disaster risk management. Therefore, the aim of the current study is to develop a measurement tool based on the Health Belief Model (HBM). We conducted item analysis and exploratory factor analysis in the first stage of the study, followed by confirmatory factor analysis in the second stage. In the two stages, the sample sizes were 176 and 577, respectively. In the first stage, we removed three items from the scale. The analyses revealed that the scale, comprising five factors and 11 items, explained 72% of the total variance. We named the factors perceived threat, perceived benefits, perceived barriers, cues to action, and health motivation. The Cronbach Alpha internal consistency of the total scale was .70. The confirmatory factor analysis findings showed that χ2/df and RMSEA were within the acceptable fit range, while SRMR, CFI, GFI, and AGFI were within the good fit range. The confirmatory factor analysis confirmed the factor structure obtained from the exploratory factor analysis. In summary, the present study demonstrates that the Beliefs About Earthquake Preparedness Scale is a valid and reliable measurement tool. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Objective: In this study, a clear Turkish translation of "the Tayside children's sleep questionnaire", the original language of which was English, under the name of "the Tayside child sleep assessment form", made it suitable for Turkish culture, internal consistency score, validity reliability and the evaluation form is intended to be suitable for use. Materials and Methods: The data of the study were obtained by applying the online data collection method between 01.08.2022-31.09.2022 with the participation of 294 mothers. "Sociodemographic information form" and "Tayside child sleep evaluation form" were applied to the parents. Results: Spearman-Brown correlation was made for the linguistic equivalence suitability of the Tayside child sleep evaluation form and a high statistically significant correlation was found with p<0.50 and r=0.764. For item-total correlation, it was determined that a sufficient correlation coefficient was provided between 0.41 and 0.63 (r>0.30). The scale was found to be highly reliable, with a Cronbach's alpha internal consistency coefficient of 0.807 (>0.7). As a result of the factor analysis, it was determined that selection was a good measure because the factor loads of the first factor were (>0.45), and the factor loads of the second factor were (>0.45). Item factor loads were examined, and it was determined that the factor loads were at an acceptable level because they were (>0.30). As a result of the independent samples t-test for item discrimination, it was determined that the t values of all items were significant (p<0.001). Conclusion: The results obtained in our study show that the validity of all the information in the screening tool was high and that it could measure sleep disturbance. This shows that a data transfer tool dealing with adaptations from Turkish is a viable transfer tool suitable for Turkish and text. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

EXPLORATORY factor analysis , *FACTOR structure , *MIDDLE school students , *CRONBACH'S alpha , *FACTOR analysis - Abstract
The purpose of this study is to develop a valid and reliable measurement tool to determine the motivation of middle school students towards grammar. The study group consists of a total of 500 7th-grade students, including 264 girls and 236 boys, studying in various middle schools in the city center of Kars. Exploratory factor analysis (EFA) was initially conducted on the data collected to determine the factorial structure and validity study of the scale. As a result of the factor analysis, it was observed that the scale has a twofactor structure. Therefore, the scale data were limited to two factors and analyzed using the principal components method. The Kaiser-Meyer-Olkin (KMO) statistic value of the scale was found to be 0.919, and the Bartlett's Test of Sphericity statistic value was χ2=6310.22; df=1081, p=0.000, indicating that it was significant and suitable for factor analysis. Item-total test correlations were calculated as evidence of item validity. It was determined that the item-test correlations ranged from 0.308 to 0.710. The Cronbach's alpha internal consistency coefficient calculated to determine the reliability of the scale was found to be 0.948 for the total scale. The internal consistency coefficient of the high motivation factor of the scale was found to be 0.946, and the internal consistency coefficient of the low motivation factor was found to be 0.874, indicating high internal consistency. In light of these findings, it was concluded that the grammar motivation scale is valid and reliable. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

- Abstract
In this study, it was aimed to examine the sustainable agriculture perceptions of paddy farmers using factor analysis. The main material of the study consisted of primary data obtained through a survey method from 89 paddy farmers operating in the İpsala district of Edirne province, located in the Thrace part of the Marmara Region of Türkiye. In order to determine the factors affecting the sustainable agriculture perceptions of paddy farmers, 60 propositions were presented to the farmers and the degree of agreement with each proposition was determined using a likert scale. As a result of the preliminary analysis, factor analysis was conducted with 30 propositions with factor loadings greater than 0.50. According to the results of the factor analysis, it has been determined that the eigenvalues for 9 factors are greater than 1 among the eigenvalues of 30 variables. For this reason, factor analysis results were examined taking into account 9 factors. These 9 factors explain % 72.35 of the total variance. These factors and their total variance explanation ratios were determined as; Factor1 "Environmental sensitivity factor (15.97%)", Factor2 "Education and awareness factor (11.64%)", Factor3 "Paddy production and women factor (8.47%)", Factor4 "Seed preference and risk management factor (7.01%)", Factor5 "Use of financial resources obtained for agricultural purposes in paddy production factor (6.60%)", Factor6 "Cooperation and environmental improvement factor (6.44%)", Factor7 "Environmental degradation and productivity factor (6.08%)", Factor8 "Health factor (5.38%)", Factor9 "Productivity factor (4.77%)", respectively. These results obtained from the study indicate that in order to ensure sustainability in paddy production; It provides important data for policy makers and decision makers regarding the promotion of environmentally friendly sustainable agricultural techniques by the government and the training of farmers on sustainable agricultural techniques. - Abstract
In this study, using monthly data measured between 2002 and 2019 at the Anamur station number 17320, operated by the General Directorate of Meteorology, the change in the character of the dominant phenomena in the study area was examined within the framework of climate change over time. For this purpose, Factor Analysis (FA) was dynamically applied to the data to monitor temporal changes and the findings were interpreted within the framework of climate change. As a result of the study, it was concluded that there are two dominant phenomena in the study area, namely temperature, and wind and that these two phenomena increase their effects over time. On the other hand, in line with the findings obtained from the study, it was observed that the Temperature, Open Surface Evaporation, Wind Speed and Relative Humidity parameters increased their effects by %2.61, %3.32, %3.38 and %13.60, respectively, between 2011 and 2019. Again, the findings show that there is an impact of climate change. The dynamic application of FA has created a very productive approach to examining the change in the characters of the phenomena, and this approach represents the innovative and original aspect of the current study. The aim of study is to reveal the factors affecting the knowledge sources used by melon farmers in Hatay province, and their attitudes towards input use. In addition, the research also investigated farmers’ attitudes towards plant protection knowledge and support policies. In the study was surveyed with melon farmers. The data were obtained through face to face interviews during the period of Summer-2022. In the study, factor analysis was used to determine farmers’ the factors affecting the knowledge sources. Factors affecting the knowledge sources used by farmers were determined as two-way and one-way communication. The factors affecting the sources that farmers depend on in dose adjustment were determined as internal and external factors. Besides, farmers think that the knowledge sources should be understandable and accessible. On the other hand, farmers think that the sources they depend on should be accurate and reliable. In melon cultivation, chemicals are used excessively to combat diseases and pests. Also, farmers stated that if precautions are not taken while spraying, poisoning may occur. Moreover, it is thought that empty pesticide containers should be destroyed and excessive use of fertilizers and pesticides may harm products and the environment. Furthermore, farmers claimed that support policies for melon production were not sufficient. As a result, it has been understood that melon farmers have a good level of education and are conscious individuals. However, it is thought that the training and extension activities will help farmers increase their income and environmental awareness.

The importance of communication in social life is increasing rapidly day by day. It's crucial to assess the impact of language tone on in-school communication, identify communication barriers, and promote healthy communication between teachers and school administrators. The aim of this study is to examine the perceptions of communication barriers in schools from the perspective of teachers and administrators. This study was carried out to determine the problems and solution suggestions by revealing the communication barriers in schools according to the perceptions of teachers and administrators with quantitative data. The study found that, on point average, sociopolitical barriers were the most prominent among communication barriers in schools. It can be stated that communication barriers in schools are caused by sociopolitical barriers rather than psychological barriers, technical and semantic barriers. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

The purpose of this study is to adapt the Online Shopping Convenience Scale developed by Jiang et al. (2013) into Turkish. The study group for the research consists of 732 consumers who have engaged in online shopping in the last 6 months. Exploratory and confirmatory factor analysis techniques were employed to test the construct validity of the scale. In terms of reliability analysis, Cronbach's alpha and McDonald's omega (ω) reliability coefficients were calculated. Exploratory factor analysis revealed that the items in the online shopping convenience scale were grouped into five factors, similar to the original form, with item factor loadings ranging from .57 to .86. Additionally, the total variance explained by the five factors is 65.61%. In the confirmatory factor analysis, fit indices were calculated to assess the model-data fit, resulting in χ2= 358.12, sd = 109, p <.05; CFI = .956; TLI = .954; RMSEA = .057, [%90 GA-0.051, 0.064]; SRMR = .041. It was found that the standardized factor loadings of the items in the five-factor online shopping convenience scale ranged from .585 to .828. In addtion, the average variance extracted (AVE) values of the factors were found to range from .50 to .59. In terms of reliability analysis, Cronbach's alpha coefficients ranged from .736 to .841, and McDonald's omega composite reliability coefficients ranged from .746 to .855. As a result of the research, it was concluded that the Turkish version of the Online Shopping Convenience Scale is a valid and reliable instrument that can be used to assess consumers' perceptions of the convenience of online shopping. LAND consolidation , *WATER distribution , *WATER levels , *FACTOR analysis , *SATISFACTION - Abstract
Land consolidation is defined as the arrangement of water and road networks in these fields by combining fragmented and scattered parcels, that is, fields. It is also necessary to carry out adequate social and cultural studies. However, consolidation is not at the desired level in Turkey. In the study, it is aimed to examine the ongoing land consolidation process in the Yörük village of Tekirdağ Province Malkara district, the thoughts before and after the consolidation, the effective factors in adopting the consolidation and the problems arising from the consolidation. The information before and after parcellation, road and irrigation connections, relations between production resources, where producers' perspectives on land consolidation were also evaluated. The data used in this study were obtained from the survey data made with 50 enterprises from the Yörük village of Tekirdağ Province Malkara district, and the data obtained from the relevant institutions. Consequently, it was determined that the average number of parcels decreased from 10.14 to 8.24 after land consolidation. In addition, it was understood that 32 of the enterprises had irrigation networks before consolidation, but the distribution of water at network level after consolidation has not been completed yet. In the study, it was determined that although 66% of the people attended the information meeting, As a result of the factor analysis, farmers' judgments about land consolidation are grouped under five headings: "information", "economic satisfaction", "structural satisfaction", "social changes" and "agricultural satisfaction". 90% did not give their consent. It can be thought that this situation could be affected by the fact that most of the information is made by friends, neighbors and demarch. For this reason, it was observed that to provide better and long-term training and information to the authorized institutions in land consolidation is necessary. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

BUSINESS enterprises , *DECISION making , *FACTOR analysis , *MULTIPLE criteria decision making , *BUSINESS planning - Abstract
The success of a company with its collaborating suppliers plays an essential role in the realization of business plans. Working with the most appropriate and correct suppliers in this role is an important decision process for businesses. In this study, the supplier selection problem of a leading company in the retail sector was evaluated with SWARA and VIKOR methods, which are among the Multi-Criteria Decision Making (MCDM) techniques. The application was applied to suppliers that the company had constant problems during procurement processes. In the first stage of the study, statistical hypotheses were formed based on the most used criteria in the literature to determine the evaluation criteria suitable for the company's dynamics, and the survey prepared on these hypotheses was applied to the experts who were in direct contact with the suppliers. Explanatory Factor Analysis and Confirmatory Factor Analysis methods were used to evaluate validity and reliability analyzes of the survey. The importance levels determined as a result of the survey were calculated with the SWARA method, and in the final evaluation, supplier ranking was obtained by comparing the suppliers with the VIKOR method, and these findings were discussed in the conclusion part. When the hypotheses in this study were compared with similar ones in the literature, it was seen that they were used with different MCDM methods, but the ones with SWARA and VIKOR methods were not found. Thus, it has been shown that the combination of Explanatory Factor Analysis and Confirmatory Factor Analysis, SWARA and VIKOR methods can be successfully applied in supplier selection process and it is aimed to gain a innovative perspective on the literature.
