The aim of this study is to examine the opinions of primary school 4th grade students on the subject of Traffic Safety. In the study, independent word association test and drawing and writing technique were used to reveal the cognitive structures of the students towards the concept of traffic. Qualitative research model and case study design were used in the research, and the study group consisted of 250 (112 boys and 138 girls), 4th grade students studying in 10 different primary schools affiliated to the Directorate of National Education in Yenimahalle district of Ankara province. In order to create the test, the word traffic was chosen as a key concept. As a result of the test, the reliability coefficient was determined as %90.36 in the independent word association test and %90.58 in the drawing and writing method, and a frequency table was created based on the data obtained. According to the results of the study, the students associated the concept of traffic with various words both in the independent word association test and in the drawing and writing technique. When the words produced were examined, the words collected in the categories of road, human, stimulant were the common answer. This shows that students follow current events related to traffic. In addition, as a result of this study, it was seen that the students associated the words traffic and safety with each other. This shows that students have gained an important awareness about the concept of traffic. As a result, it can be said that the independent word association test and the drawing and writing technique are techniques that can be easily used to understand students' knowledge levels, thoughts, relationships between concepts and misconceptions. In this research, the effects of the opportunities and innovations offered by digital design technologies commonly used in the field of design on the creativity / originality, integration, conceptualization and application skills that constitute the performance of the designers were investigated. In the study, the effects of manual drawing (MD) and computer aided design (CAD) techniques used in the design process on the performance of designers in design studios affected by digital technology were examined. In the research questionnaire, there are 34 questions in total with three options to learn the effects of drawing techniques on design performance of design educators and students. The results obtained from the questionnaire show that when MD + CAD techniques are used together in design studios, students may have more positive effects on design performance.

DRAWING techniques , *TURKS , *RESIDENTIAL areas , *ORAL history , *RURAL geography , *DEMOGRAPHIC change - Abstract
Particularly in rural areas, "deserted/depopulated" settlements are frequently encountered. The underlying factors can be political, geographical, economic, or demographic. Emigration is one of the most frequently mentioned factors among all these. Mobility of people with different motivations, in most cases, creates residential areas that have become depopulated. The emigrations experienced in Western Thrace have created a large number of depopulated settlements. The nature of this process, its causes, and the number of settlements currently lying in ruins top the list of issues ignored by studies on Western Thrace. In this study, Western Thrace Turks are dealt with the “depopulated” places they left behind in the post-migration period. The issue of depopulated villages in Western Thrace and their reasons are examined through a representative example. Dağkaramusa village and its process of “depopulation” are the research subject. Oral history interviews were held with two participants who emigrated from Dağkaramusa on different dates. During the interviews, the sketch drawing technique was used. Explanations in the field claim that the Greek state has been following policies and implementing practices aimed at cleansing the region from the Turkish population. Similarly, findings show that Greece directly intervened to depopulate Dağkaramusa. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

DRAWING techniques , *FOURTEENTH century , *GEOMETRY - Abstract
In this study, the subject of regular star polygons, which is one of the important topics of geometry and which has taken place in many works since the fourteenth century, is discussed. A significant number of new definitions and features were added at the end of the process to the known definitions and features related to the subject. Based on the basic logic of regular star polygons, a new drawing technique has been developed, which is different from the known drawing technique using regular polygons. Equivalent parts of regular star polygons connecting the corner points are called formation lines and the study is dealt with around this scope. The lines of formation are classified as acute and obtuse according to the angles they form with the horizontal axis and important results are obtained. The angular arrangement of the layout of acute and obtuse formation lines on regular star polygons and the number of acute and obtuse formation lines are generalized according to mode 4. The circles connecting the points formed by the intersection of the formation lines on any regular star polygon are called the circle layers and the intersection points of the formation lines are called star coordinates and their properties are examined. A method in which we can determine the position of the star coordinates in any regular star polygon in four steps without drawing shapes has been developed and supported by applications. The determination of the position of the star coordinates for all star polygons without the need for drawing will prepare the ground for new studies. Conceptually, the fact that all regular polygons are also regular star polygons puts a special emphasis on the subject. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

The jewel, which is the follower of the historical adventure of humanity from the first ages to the present; by experiencing changes and developments over time, its current meaning is reached. The main point of the production phase is jewelery design, and the most important part of the jewelery design phase; they are drawing techniques in which a subjective, tactile, three-dimensional illusion is given to jewelry. In order for the design to be produced correctly and easily, all the dimensions and details on the jewelery design must be seen by the craftsmen who produced the model. Therefore pattern techniques, the roadmap of the production process, together with the development of computer programs and machine technologies used to make jewelry, reveal orginal, creative designs. In this study, designers are intended to contibute to both the sectoral and academic space by being examined with the pattern techniques applications they use. This research is divided into four parts, in the first part, the definition of jewelery and the concept of design are mentioned and the history of jewelery design from ancient times to the nineteenth century is examined. In the second part, the names that were influential in the shaping of the twentieth century jewelery design are discussed and the pattern techniques of the world jewelery brands are emphasized. In the third chapter, it is focused on pattern techniques in jewelry designs, the place and importance of pattern in jewelry design is mentioned, and the findings about jewelry patterns from past to present are examined. In the conclusion part, the jewelery design process and pattern creation stages are shown with applications in line with the findings.

Projecting emerged with the period when human started to create by designing and is a process consisting of certain phases. Selling stage that we call project presentation became a part of this process.Materials and techniques used in project presentation changed depending on varying expectations and progresses in the technology throughout the history and gained today?s status. When project presentation techniques are examined in historical process, data take us about 4000 years ago. Many phases were experienced from drawings on sandstone tablet to large marble plates, animal skins and papyrus to paper and computer introduced to our life to projecting on giant screens with big projections.Variations in drawing and modeling materials in these phases, transition processes from 2-dimension drawings to 3-dimension drawings, measure, scale perception, unit of measures showed variations among civilizations before and then achieved to have a common language as much as possible with globalization. In addition to a good design, the success in linear, written and oral presentation determines the success of that project. Right material and techniques chosen for presentation are the factors effecting expression style and body language of the designer during the presentation are the factors effecting the presentation of the project.Presentation methods changes and develops directly proportional with improving visions of designers, expectations of the society and fast developing technology.Presentation techniques to be foreseen and realized in the future depend on examining historical process and evaluating today well. 125
