This article aims to present a bibliometric analysis of publications on platform work and explore the intellectual structure of the field. Bibliometric analysis: It overviews academic research, identifying leading trends in magazines, citations, authors, keywords, and institutions. It is, therefore, essential to understand current scientific production and developments in future lines of research. As a result of scanning the Web of Science Core Collection database with the "platform study" concept, 266 documents were reached. Bibliometric data from 203 papers published between 2017 and July 2023 were used as the unit of analysis. The data set was examined regarding various bibliometric indicators such as authors, journals, institutions, countries, texts, and co-authors. Research findings show that considering the number of citations, the most influential author is Schor, the most influential nation is the USA, and the most influential journal is the Annual Review of Sociology. The most influential institution is Boston University. The most significant article is Vallas (2020). The first three concepts most frequently used in publications about platform work are algorithmic management, Uber and insecurity, respectively. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

The aim of this study is to examine the studies on teacher supervision published in international journals. For this purpose, studies on teacher supervision published in international journals indexed in Scopus index were examined by bibliometric analysis method. In the selection of the studies, it was paid attention that they were related to teacher supervision, they were in English and Turkish, they were in the article category and they were open access. While the related publications followed a constant trend until 2008, they started to increase after 2008, and the highest number of publications was made in 2023 with 62 publications. It is understood that the relevant publications are concentrated in the journals "BMC Medical Education", "Universal Journal of Educational Research", "Australian Journal of Teacher Education", "Cogent Education", "National Education", the Netherlands is at the forefront of inter-country co-authorship, the prominent co-authors are chansa-kabali, tamara, jacqueline, the most used keywords are teacher education, social network service, teacher candidate, student teaching partnership, student teaching context, university supervision, supervision. Since human capital is the factor that creates and disseminates knowledge and develops and produces technology, it is considered as one of the most important factors affecting growth and development today. On the other hand, universities are one of the most important cornerstones of human capital, knowledge creation and diffusion. In the international and national literature, only citations are used to measure university-based knowledge spillovers and other factors are neglected. To fill this gap in the literature, this study proposes an analogy for the measurement of spillovers created by academic staff, taking into account the literature on knowledge and technology spillovers in the industrial sector. Knowledge spillovers are categorized into explicit and implicit knowledge spillovers under university-to-university and private sector spillovers. Explicit knowledge spillovers from the university to other universities include publications, citations, patents, co-authored works, while tacit knowledge spillovers include conferences, graduate and doctoral students, academic mobility and projects. This study aims to evaluate the development of nationalism academic literature in the world through bibliometric analysis. The absence of a similar study -a bibliometric study on the nationalism literature in Turkey-, which seeks to answer the question of how the development of nationalism is shaped in academic literature, makes this study more meaningful. In this context, contributing to the Turkish political science literature constitutes another goal of this study. This study examines 9175 articles between 1975-2021 on nationalism and related concepts and theories according to the development of the literature in the Web of Science database. There were discussed through co-author analysis on country basis, co-citation analysis on country basis, co-author analysis, co-entity analysis, and bibliometric mapping. According to the results of this study, it has been determined that the concepts of nationalism, racism, ethnicity and modernism have been studied intensively in the nationalism literature, which has a multidisciplinary and interdisciplinary nature, today as well as in the past, and that nationalism continues its potential existence as a field of study in the future. Objective: This paper aims to find out the factors that are likely to increase the citation impact of Turkey-addressed international papers. Method: For this purpose, we downloaded bibliographic records of some 226,000 TR-addressed papers that were published between 2006 and 2015, there from selected a sample (2%) using stratified probabilistic sampling technique, and obtained relevant data from various sources such as the number of citations and coauthors, journal impact factors (JIF) and journal quartiles pertaining to each paper in the sample. We then identified 19 independent variables on article, journal, cooperation, support and access levels and analyzed the data using the hurdle model. Findings: The strongest factors increasing the number of citations of TR-addressed papers are five-year JIFs and journal quartiles (Q1) in which TR-addressed papers appeared and the number of references in papers' reference lists. These factors also reduce the number of papers with zero citations. Papers published in cooperation with other countries collect higher numbers of citations. Factors such as the subjects of papers, whether papers received monetary support or not, and methods by which papers can be accessed (open or closed access) have no impact on the number of citations received. Implications: Findings indicate that academic promotion and support policies encouraging publishing in high impact journals while forestalling publishing in low impact journals should be developed in order to increase the scientific impact of TR-addressed papers. Originality: This is the first study using hurdle model to investigate the direct impact of several article, journal, collaboration, monetary support and access level explanatory variables on the number of citations that TR-addressed papers receive. When we look into the existing literature on Ottoman Armenians, it is seen that one of the main problems we encounter is the scarcity of the academic publications on the Ottoman Armenian community's literary, cultural, historical and philological works. Especially when it comes to Armenian epigraphic works, there has been negligible academic work. In order to fill this gap, this article examines the Armenian tombstones found in the Ottoman Empire since the second half of the 19th century. It first briefly discusses the related works in the field of epigraphy in Turkey. Then, it looks into the epigraphic works held in Turkey in the field of Armenian to find out the problems in the area. The article demonstrates the density of the Armenian tombstones in Turkey and provides examples of Armenian tombstones found in provinces such as Ankara, Mardin, Aydin, Afyonkarahisar and in various museums. In doing so, it includes a brief information on how these tombstones should be examined. Finally, the article provides the Turkish translation of Armenian texts on tombstones and analyses the content of these articles. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Suffixes enabling the verb to be used as an adverb in a sentence are referred to as verbal adverb suffixes. In literature, other terms such as gerund, verbal adverb, gerundial suffixes, category term (katmaçlık siygası) are used instead of the term gerundium. Gerundium is one of the most studied subjects in Turkish language. However, the subject of "quasi gerundiums" is relatively understudied. Gülsevin in his article on Quasi Gerundiums in Turkey's Turkish drew attention on this particular subject as he specialized quasi gerundiums known until now yet not denominated by a grammar term. Since the publication of the article in 2000, studies bearing the title quasi gerundiums have gradually emerged. It is possible to argue that there are more studies on them especially in the field of contemporary dialects and less so on the historical dialects of Turkish However, it is clear that many of the modern dialects also are not studied in detail. This article focuses on the period of Orkhun Turkish, a dialect in the Old Turkish period. In order to carry out the analysis of this period in detail, Gülsevin's article was used as a model and the data was limited only to texts consisting of the Kül Tigin, Bilge Kağan and Tonyukuk Inscriptions, briefly known as Orkhun Inscriptions. In conclusion, 12 compound gerundium structures were discovered and the quasi gerundium in Orkhon Inscriptions, just like in modern Turkish used in Turkey, are constructed on the suffix+postposition and suffix+suffix rule. In the present study, 243 academic studies of Süleyman Demirel University were published in the field of Social Sciences between 2003 and 2017 were analyzed bibliometrically by social network analysis. The aim of this study is to evaluate the relationships of author collaboration, institution and research areas published in citation indices in the field of Social Sciences. It is also aimed to contribute Suleyman Demirel University's scientific publication policy-making process by identifying institutions, academicians and research areas that have a strong position within the network structures according to the centrality measures. In order to evaluate the publications of Süleyman Demirel University in the field of social sciences, jointly published institutions, joint author networks, authorcitation network structure and clusters of research areas were visualized and analyzed through CiteSpace and Ucinet social network software. The results show that Education and Educational Research field is prominent in social sciences. In the evaluation of the cooperation analysis of the institution, it is seen that the institution that Suleyman Demirel University cooperates most in the field of Social Sciences is Hacettepe University. The century-long process, which ran from the Mutaferrika Printing House to the Bulak Printing House, followed a course that showed that basic interests and concerns had changed, and that the printed works had shifted from East to West or from inside to outside and from Islamic subjects to modern scientific/technical issues. Although the activities in Istanbul and Cairo indicate partial similarities, they have great differences. In order to better understand and make sense of the issue, the main developments in the establishment of the printing press and the publication field in the time of the Ottomans are briefly described. This article examines the printing press and the publications in Egypt. The establishment of the printing press in Egypt reveals a quite different picture showing the intensive publishing of books and their distribution. This article argues that the main factor in the establishment of the printing press in Egypt and the start of publication is based on technical-military motives. It shows that the printing and translation activities carried out in the field of history have the characteristics that reveal the main tendency of the administration in Egypt. The distribution of selected works highlights the interest of the political power, Muhammad Ali Pasha and his retinue in Cairo toward understanding and recognizing the West and clearly revealing the motives behind the translation activities. Therefore, this article states that the historical works translated and published in this process should be seen as an integral part of the reforms that have been carried out. The bibliographic studies in Arabic, English and Turkish that have been carried out so far have been utilized in determining the works in our study. Our research suggests that the main focus of translation and publication activities of mentioned history books in Cairo is the West. The process of written and music-based music press in Anatolia started with the Ottoman Empire. During this period, a limited number of newspaper and magazine articles were published on music. Alem-i Musiki, the first Turkish music magazine with the old lettered, was published on 1 October 1919 in Bursa. The magazine, which was edited and co-authored by Mehmed Baha Pars, could be issued sixteen numbers. With its feature as the first and comprehensive music publication in Bursa, Alem-I Musiki is the only work with the source information and work of both Turkey and Bursa in this field. In order to determine and evaluate the music understanding of the period with the point of view of musikişinas (music-lover, the person who deals with the music, musician), an examination was made on the series of articles titled Menakıb-ı Musikişinasan. A total of twelve articles were identified and analyzed, including various issues of the journal about the musikişinas. Based on the magazine articles that provide information about musikişinas, the music culture, perception and level of interest of the country in this period were tried to be revealed.
