School-hospital cooperation is based on the fact that theorical knowledge which are accepted with scentific development are transformed into practice in clinical area and that teaching staffs, student nurses and service nurses make adequate cooperation and thus professional quality is increased. Our study was done descriptively to examine (the points of) views of the nurses working in Burdur State Hospital into the clinical practices of student nurses and into cooperation with teaching staffs. Our research was performed over 71 nurses working in Burdur State Hospital between 6th and 17th of November, 2005. The nurses view Burdur State Hospital, where our student nurses have been practicing as partly suitable or middle-level suitable as regards with physical structure, patient capacity and ease variety. 29,6% of the nurses stated that the most positive sides of working together with student nurses were the facts that their contribution to the education of their colleagues in future increased their professional satisfaction and develoment of their nursing care practices. Nurses while working with student nurses, were concerned that student nurses might do defective practice (69%). 54,4% of the nurses stated that they might contribute into their practice together with their teaching staffs, 26,8% of them to theorical and practical applications and 12,7% to theorical lessons. Service nurses wanted to work together with student nurses but not separately. That service nurses are willing to contribute to the education of student nurses provides looking at future hopefully. Service nurses should be given planned, structured and comprehensive education towards student education. Nurses who are in cooperation with student nurses in clinical area should at least have bachelor's degree or graduate degree. Institutions should grow faith in making cooperation. Service nurses should be given in-service training by teaching staff for taking responsibility in student nurses' practices and for contributing to theorical education. The problems with teaching staffs and nurses working at hospital experience in student education can only be solved in a working system in which both groups joins their stregth together.
