Today, world leaders are implementing their economic and political decisions based on the sustainable development goals. While countries continue their economic growth and development processes, they focus on ways and techniques that are less harming nature and the environment and using natural resources more efficiently. 2030 Sustainable Development Goals are an important and good guide for sustainable development. These goals put forward by United Miller in 2015 started to guide the world countries by offering 17 very detailed targets. 2030 Sustainable Development Goals specify what goals need to be achieved to achieve sustainability across a wide range of themes. Regarding seas and underwater life, the aim of Goal -14 shows the guiding elements of the conservation of the seas, the continuity of underwater life and the protection of diversity. In this context, the purpose of the study is to present a profile for Turkish seas and seafood through investigating the current status of Turkish seas and seafood according to sustainable development goals.
