Investing in a machinery park is a crucial decision process for businesses, as it requires significant resources and subsequently affects all production activities. Proper utilization of machinery improves production processes, increases efficiency and reliability, and enables flexibility and effectiveness in manufacturing. This process, which requires experience and knowledge, encompasses multiple criteria and involves various departments. This research aims to solve the printing machine selection problem using fuzzy multi-criteria decision-making methods, for an investment in a newspaper printing facility. Fuzzy AHP is employed to determine the importance weights of criteria, while fuzzy EDAS is used to evaluate alternatives based on criteria. The criteria considered in the study, based on expert opinions and literature review, are as follows: cost, efficiency, and flexibility. Four different printing machines that are deemed suitable for the process and feasible for purchase are selected as machine alternatives. The decision-making group consists of the printing manager, business development manager, technical manager, and electrical and mechanical maintenance engineers. Sensitivity analysis results conducted to assess the impact of linguistic expression variations on the analysis outcomes demonstrate a high level of validity in the research. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
