Smart homes are based on connecting different parts and components of the household through sensors and the use of the internet. The interconnection of the household enables control and remote control of the home. The factors behind consumer adoption of the smart home have been studied but there are still questions regarding the value propositions of smart homes. This study presents material that can provide insights into what value propositions young adults demand in smart home products. The methods used to produce the study results were, a survey and a questionnaire. The results from the survey showed that smart voice assistants were appreciated by the participants. However, all the participants believed the functional value of the smart voice assistants was limited. After participating in the survey, they felt no real need for the smart voice assistant in their home. The results from the questionnaire’s 112 answers showed that a large majority of the respondents did not own a smart voice assistant. Many did however, express a positive opinion towards voice assistants and were open to the purchase of a smart voice assistant in the future. The small number of respondents that did own a smart voice assistant were all satisfied with their purchase of a smart voice assistant

Utifrån min egen skolgång och känslan av att musikskapande aktiviteter bortprioriterats för att skapa utrymme för sådana moment som ger ”mest kunskap” har jag med denna studie valt att undersöka just användandet av musikskapande aktiviteter i grundskolans musikundervisning. Den tidigare forskning som lyfts fram visar att kreativa arbetssätt och skapande aktiviteter främjar elevers musikaliska kunskaper och sociala färdigheter. Trots detta visar statliga utvärderingar av musikämnet att musikskapande aktiviteter är eftersatt på många skolor i landet samt att musiklärare saknar självförtroende och kompetens att undervisa i momentet. Genom en webbenkät som datainsamlingsmetod syftar föreliggande studie till att studera musiklärares arbete med musikskapande aktiviteter. Forskningsfrågorna som ligger till grund för arbetet berör musiklärares definition av musikskapande aktiviteter, attityd till och prioritering av momentet samt eventuella samband mellan olika faktorer och användandet av musikskapande aktiviteter i undervisning. Metodmässigt tar studien en medelväg och med avstamp i ett explorativt perspektiv kan studien anses ha sin grund i den kvantitativa ansatsen tillsammans med vissa kvalitativa tolkande inslag. Resultatet av studien visar att de medverkande informanterna har en övervägande positiv attityd till musikskapande aktiviteter samt enligt sin egen uppfattning prioriterar momentet i relativt hög grad i sin undervisning. Musikskapande som komposition, musikskapande som digital produktion och musikskapande som gestaltande kommunikation är tre övergripande innebörder av begreppet musikskapande som framträder ur resultatet, dock anser många informanter att begreppet är svårdefinierat och att det snarare är ett sammanfattande begrepp för flera moment i undervisningen. Ytterligare resultat visar att faktorer som kön, yrkeserfarenhet, attityder och vilken del av landet informanten undervisar i pekar på tydliga samband i förhållande till attityd och prioritering av musikskapande aktiviteter. Avslutningsvis förs en diskussion kring studiens resultat och huruvida musikskapande aktiviteter bör ses som ett genomsyrande förhållningssätt i musikundervisningen snarare än ett enskilt moment. Based on my own schooling and the feeling that music-creating activities have been de-prioritized to create space for elements of music that provides "the most knowledge", I have with this study chosen to investigate the use of music-creating activities in primary school music education. Previous research that highlights shows that creative thinking and creative activities promote students' musical knowledge and social skills. Despite this, evaluations of Swedish music education shows that music-creating activities are neglected in many schools and that music teachers lack the self-confidence and competence to teach the element. Through a web survey as a collection method of data, this essay aims to study music teachers’ usage of music-creating activities in their practice. The research questions that form the basis of the study concern music teachers' definition of music-creating activities, attitudes to and inclusion of the element and possible connections between different factors. Methodologically, the study takes a middle ground and with a starting point in an exploratory perspective the study is considered to have its basis in the quantitative approach together with certain qualitative interpretive elements. The result of the study shows that the participating informants have a predominantly positive attitude towards music-creating activities as well as recurring use of it in their teaching. Music creation as composition, music creation as digital production and music creation as formative communication are three main definitions of the concept of music creation that emerges from the survey answers, however, many informants believe that the concept is difficult to define and that it is rather a summary concept for several moments in teaching. Further results show that factors such as gender, professional experience, attitude and which part of the country the informants teach point to clear connections in relation to the use of music-creating activities. Finally, there is a discussion about the results of the study and whether music-creating activities should be seen as a permeating approach in music teaching rather than an individual element.

Bakgrund: HBTQ-personer har en förhöjd risk för ohälsa jämfört med befolkningen i övrigt. En teori som ibland används som förklaring till ojämlikheten är minoritetsstress, en ökad stress till följd av fördomar, stigmatisering och diskriminering. Det finns brister i kunskap om HBTQ-personer hos personal i samhällsverksamheter, vilket bland annat leder till sämre bemötande. Därför har region Gotland gjort en informationskampanj för att öka kunskapen om HBTQ-frågor. Syfte: Att ta reda på huruvida personer som jobbar inom samhällsverksamheter i region Gotland tycker att de har nytta av informationsmaterial om HBTQ-frågor i deras dagliga arbete. Metod: En onlineenkät med 13 frågor, med fasta svarsalternativ, en skattningsskala och frågor med öppna svar skickades ut till anställda inom region Gotland. Deskriptiv statistisk gjordes för att bearbeta den kvantitativa datan, de öppna svaren sammanställdes till ett resultat. Resultat: 1402 svar erhölls (26 % svarsfrekvens). Drygt hälften, 56 % av respondenterna angav att de känner till informationsmaterialet. Det finns inga större skillnader i kännedom av materialet baserat på könsidentitet. Färre av de yngre respondenterna känner till materialet. De flesta fick reda på materialet genom sin arbetsplats. 77 % av respondenterna anser att kunskaper inom HBTQ+ är viktigt för bemötandet av människor. Informationen ansågs vara av värde för kunskap, för att bli bekant med begrepp och benämningar. En ökad medvetenhet om HBTQ-personers situation lyftes som värdefullt. Mer praktiska exempel på bra bemötande önskades. Slutsats: Resultaten i den här studien tyder på att informationsmaterialet har nått ut och bidragit till en bättre förståelse för och bättre bemötandet av HBTQ-personer, och också identifierat önskemål om praktiska exempel på bra bemötande. Background: Lack of knowledge and awareness for LGBTQ-issues among social services personnel may lead to unprofessional attitude and services. This may cause minority stress and increased risk for health disparities of LGBTQ-people. Region Gotland identified the need for improved LGBTQ-knowledge in its social services in an interview study with LGBTQ-people. Therefore, region Gotland launched an information campaign to educate social service personnel on LGBTQ-issues. Aim: This study investigated whether increased knowledge about LGBTQ-issues benefits social service workers in Gotland in their daily work. Method: An online survey with 13 questions with fixed alternatives, rating scale or open answers was sent to employees of region Gotland. Descriptive statistics were used to analyze the quantitative data and the open answers were collected to summarize a result. Results: 1402 answers were collected (26 % response rate) obtained. About half of the respondents (56 %) were aware of the information campaign. Knowledge of the campaign did not differ by gender identity. Less of the younger respondents were familiar with the campaign. Most respondents received information about the campaign through their workplace. Seventy-seven percent considered knowledge about LGBTQ-topics important for the treatment of LGBTQ-people. The main learnings from the information campaign were LGBTQ-topics knowledge and terminology as well as increased awareness of the life situation of LGBTQ-people. Participants expressed need for more best-practice guidance on meeting LGBTQ-individuals. Conclusion: The results of this study suggest that the provided information material improved understanding for and attitudes towards LGBTQ-people and identified the need for further best-practice guidance.

Dagens sjukvård förändras och utvecklas i snabb takt. Vårdtiderna kortas och allt fler ingrepp, mer och mer avancerade, övergår till att utföras under lokalanestesi med vakna patienter. En vaken patient får en upplevelse kring omvårdnaden under ett ingrepp. I vården är tid en bristvara, det kan finnas risk för att mötet mellan patient och sjuksköterska går väldigt fort. För patienten är det av stor betydelse att omhändertagandet blir bra för att upplevelsen under hela ingreppet ska bli så bra som möjligt. Omvårdnad är sjuksköterskans specifika kompetens. En viktig uppgift är att kontinuerligt arbeta med utvärdering och utveckling av olika arbetsmetoder. Att beforska patienters upplevelser inom vården är viktigt, det kan ge en indikation på om det finns behov av förbättring. Alla förändringar bör följas upp och utvärderas. Syftet med studien är att undersöka hur vakna patienter under en kardiologisk intervention upplever omvårdnaden. Metoden som användes var en kvantitativ enkätstudie. Instrumentet som användes var Kvalitet ur Patientens Perspektiv (KUPP). Resultatet visar på att respondenterna överlag upplever de faktiska förhållandena som mycket bra. Drygt 70% av respondenterna svarade på frågan om vad de var särskilt nöjda med och det handlade till största del om positivt bemötande. I enkäten påvisades ingen brist som kräver åtgärd men i förbättringsförslag framkom önskemål om varma filtar vilket åtgärdats. Slutsatsen är att vakna patienter som genomgår en kardiologisk intervention är nöjda med omvårdnaden och omhändertagande under hela ingreppet. Studiens resultat är begränsat till den utvalda patientgruppen av polikliniska stabila svensktalande kardiologiska patienter. För att kunna dra mer generella slutsatser krävs ett större underlag med studier av andra patientgrupper. The health care of today is rapidly changing and developing. An increasing number of interventions, more and more advanced, are performed during local, instead of general anaesthesia, whereby inpatient times are reduced. The patients are awake and aware of the surrounding activities, including nursing. With time in short supply, the meeting between patient and nurse may go very quickly, which might be hazardous. In order to maintain a good patient experience during the procedure, it is important that the nursing care is not set aside. Nursing is the specific competence of the registered nurses, who must work continuously with development and evaluation of the quality of different working methods. Investigating patient experiences in health care is important, in order to high-light needs for improvement. Any changes should be followed-up and evaluated. The purpose of this study was to investigate the experience of nursing during a cardiological intervention in awake patients. The method used was a quantitative survey study. The instrument was Quality from the Patient's Perspective, (KUPP). The results show that patients generally experience the investigated conditions as very good. The free-text question asking for particularly positive experiences was answered by 70% of the patients, mainly high-lighting good care-giving conduct. The questionnaire did not reveal any significant shortcomings requiring to be acted upon, although a free-text answer proposing warm blankets has been addressed. The conclusion of the study is that awake patients undergoing a cardiological intervention are satisfied with the nursing and the care throughout the procedure. This result is limited to the current study group comprising of cardiologically relatively stable Swedish-speaking out-patients. An expanded survey group including other patient categories is necessary in order to draw more general conclusions.

Bakgrund: Den 11 mars 2020 tillkännagav världshälsoorganisationen covid-19 som en pandemi. Röntgenavdelningen är en central del i patientflödet på ett sjukhus inte minst under pandemin. Till röntgenavdelningen kommer misstänkta eller bekräftade covid-19 patienter. Detta gör att röntgensjuksköterskor utsätts för en stor risk att bli smittade på sitt arbete. Syfte: Syftet med enkätstudien var att undersöka röntgensjuksköterskors upplevelser av sin arbetsmiljö under covid-19 pandemin. Metod: Kvantitativ enkätstudie med 197 deltagande röntgensjuksköterskor från Sverige. Resultat: Över hälften av de svarande kände oro för att smittas av covid-19 på arbetsplatsen. Majoriteten ansåg att deras kollegor tog covid-19 på allvar samtidigt som över hälften svarade att deras kollegor inte tog emot covid-19 patienter, den vanligaste orsaken var att de tillhörde en riskgrupp. Mer än tre fjärdedelar uppgav att patienter med misstänkt covid-19 hade anlänt till röntgenavdelningen utan förvarning. Gällande skyddsutrustning ansåg nästan alla att det fanns helt eller delvis tillgång till på arbetsplatsen och endast en bråkdel valde att själva införskaffa egen. Mer än hälften upplevde att det fanns klara rutiner för omhändertagande av covid-19 patienter och en tiondel upplevde att det inte fanns några klara hygienrutiner för covid-19 patienter. Slutsats: Enkätstudien visar på betydelsen av tydliga riktlinjer för hur arbetet ska bedrivas under en pandemi. Det visar även på betydelsen av att det finns adekvat skyddsutrustning vilket de allra flesta uppgav att det fanns. Vanligt förekommande var att patienter med misstänkt covid-19 anlände till röntgenavdelningen utan förvarning. Bristfälliga remisser var också förekommande, detta är något som måste förbättras. För att få mer kunskap om röntgensjuksköterskors upplevelse av att arbeta under covid-19 pandemin ser vi ett framtida behov av forskning i form av kvalitativa intervjustudier. Background: On March 11, 2020, the World Health Organization announced covid-19 as a pandemic. The radiology department is a central part of the patient flow in a hospital, not least during the pandemic. Suspected or confirmed covid-19 patients arrive daily to the radiology department. This exposes radiographers for a great risk of becoming infected at work.Aim: The aim of the survey study was to investigate radiographers' experiences of their work environment during the covid-19 pandemic.Method: Quantitative survey study with 197 participating radiographers from Sweden.Results: More than half of the respondents felt anxious about being infected with covid-19 in their work. The majority considered that their colleagues took covid-19 seriously, while more than half answered that their colleagues did not receive covid-19 patients, mainly because they belonged to a risk group. More than three quarters stated that patients with suspected covid-19 had arrived in the radiology department without warning. Regarding personal protective equipment (PPE), almost everyone considered that there was full or partial access to PPE and only a fraction chose to acquire their own PPE. More than half felt that there were clear routines for the care of covid-19 patients and a tenth felt that there were no clear hygiene routines for covid-19 patients.Conclusion: The survey study shows the importance of clear guidelines for how the work should be conducted during a pandemic. It also shows the importance of having adequate PPE, which the vast majority stated was sufficient. It was common that patients with suspected covid-19 arrived in the radiology department without warning. Inadequate referrals were also common, which is something that needs to be improved. To gain more knowledge about radiographers' experience of working during the covid-19 pandemic, we see a future need to investigate this with qualitative interview studies.

This study examines how priests and congregation representatives within the Church of Sweden and the Roman Catholic Church interpret the Bible. The aim of this study is to make a contribution to the academic discussion of the differences between christian denominations by examining the way priests and congregation representatives interpret the Bible. This study has been broken down into three research questions where the first question examines how the respondents from the Roman Catholic Church and the Church of Sweden interpret the Bible. The second question aims to categorize the christian denominations according to some given statements about the Bible. The third and final question examines how to interpret the source material based on theories on three main direction of interpretation called ”free”, ”functional” and ”formal” interpretations. This study is based on a survey of 21 questions about biblical interpretation. The survey was answered by 38 priests and congregation representatives working within the Church of Sweden and the Roman Catholic Church in Sweden. The results from the survey were interpreted by using both quantitive and qualitative interpretation methods. The findings of this study revealed that respondents from the Roman Catholic Church obtain a more formal view of the Bible than that of the respondents from the Church of Sweden. The results also showed that there were some differences amongst the respondents’ biblical interpretations within, as well as between, the christian denominations. In addition to these findings the results showed that the respondents from the Roman Catholic Church and the respondents from the Church of Sweden were both fit in the same category for biblical interpretation. Furthermore, this study has shown how to interpret the source material based on theories on ”free”, ”functional” and ”formal” interpretations.

Syftet med föreliggande kvantitativa studie har varit att ta reda på i vilken utsträckning musik- studerande elever och studenter upplever att de kan öva strukturerat och effektivt samt om sång- och instrumentallärare, inom ramen för sin undervisning, lär sina elever detta. Avsikten var också att ta reda på om det med anknytning till detta finns samband eller variationer bland respondenterna kopplat till någon av bakgrundsfaktorerna kön, instrument, genre eller skol- form. Med positivism och objektivism som vetenskaps- och kunskapsteoretiska utgångspunkter valdes enkät som forskningsmetod där två olika enkäter konstruerades, en till elever och stu- denter och en till lärare. Enkäterna distribuerades sedan till gymnasieskolor, folkhögskolor och musikhögskolor runt om i Sverige. Resultatet visar att lärarnas svar och eleverna och studen- ternas svar skiljer sig markant, där lärarna i högre utsträckning anger att de bistår sina elever med övningsmetoder och vägledning. Tidigare forskning pekar på att lärare tenderar att tro att de lär sina elever att öva i högre utsträckning än vad de faktiskt gör, vilket är något som disku- teras i förhållande till föreliggande studies resultat. Vidare visar resultatet att genre kan vara den mest avgörande faktorn för i vilken utsträckning elever och studenter får möjlighet att lära sig att öva inom ramen för sång- och instrumentalundervisningen. Elever och studenter inom den klassiska genren anger nämligen i signifikant högre utsträckning att de får vägledning i sin övning jämfört med elever och studenter inom genren jazz/pop/rock. Av resultatet framgår också att majoriteten av eleverna och studenterna önskar mer stöd och vägledning i sin övning. Avslutningsvis förs därför en diskussion om huruvida utlärning av övning är ett moment som tydligare bör framhävas i kursplaner och styrdokument. The purpose of the present quantitative study has been to investigate the extent to which stu- dents feel that they can practice in a manner that is structured and effective. Additionally, the purpose was to examine whether song and instrumental teachers, within their regular teaching, also teach their students how to practice. The intention was furthermore to find out whether there are any connections or variations among the respondents linked to any of the background factors: gender, instrument, genre or school form. Based on positivism and objectivism as the- ories of science and knowledge, questionnaires were chosen as research method, in which one questionnaire was designed for students and one for teachers. The questionnaires were then distributed to upper secondary schools, folk high schools and music colleges around Sweden. The result shows that the teachers' answers and the students' answers differ markedly, where the teachers, to a greater extent, indicate that they assist their students with practice methods and guidance. Previous research indicates that teachers tend to think that they teach their stu- dents to practice to a greater extent than they actually do, which is something that is discussed in relation to the results of the present study. Furthermore, the results show that genre can be the most decisive factor for the extent to which students are given the opportunity to learn to practice within their lesson. Students in the classical genre indicate to a much greater extent that they receive guidance in their practice compared to students in the jazz/pop/rock genre. The result also shows that the majority of the students wants more support and guidance in their practice. Therefore, a final discussion is held about the aspect of teaching students how to prac- tice and whether this aspect maybe need to be clarified in syllabuses and steering documents.

Parents' perceptions of the meeting with Child Health Nurse A survey study Background: All children are entitled to a fair and equal Child Health Care with a focus on the best possible physical, mental and social health. The Child Health Nurse must encounter each family and try to create an alliance together with the parents. Family-centred care can increase the opportunities for cooperation with the parents. Purpose: The purpose was to elucidate parents' perceptions of the meeting with the Child Health Nurse with focus on trust, information, participation and the nurses caring approach. Method: Data were collected using a web-based survey and analysis of collected material was done using the IBM SPSS Statistics version 26 computer program, with Chi2-analyses. Results: The results showed that parents have a positive view of the meeting with the Child Health Nurse. One significant difference emerged; parents with lower education considered the Child Health Nurse more comforting than parents with higher education. Conclusion: Parents have a positive view of the meeting with the Child Health Nurse and feel that they have been involved, had the opportunity to ask questions and received information that they understood, which is central to family-centered nursing and furthermore important to establish a good relationship to the parents. During the past couple of years an extensive restructure towards increased digitization, has affected Swedish schools. Some investments aim towards teachers training, whilst others prioritise hardware. Some intend to transact radical, groundbreaking changes, whilst some care to integrate information and communication technology (ICT) successively in the current education model. The methods for digitization are many and contested. Previous research focuses on investigating what effects digitization has on student learning and how the digitization mission has been interpreted and executed in school context. Teachers and students attitudes towards digitization are too fields that have been explored, though most studies are made outside of Sweden, which causes a certain knowledge gap. Music education in Sweden lacks creative elements, which has been noted in research. According to previous research ICT is also considered missing the most within the creation field. Underlying causes for the slow progress of digitization in Swedish schools however, belong to a less researched field. Initially, this study seeks to chart both in what context and extent music teachers in secondary school tend to use ICT and to investigate if any connections show between ICT usage and personal or workplace related variables. The research questions define which variables that are being investigated by dint of the web-based questionnaire that constitutes the foundation for the research. The result indicates that the informants of younger age us ICT for other purposes than the older ones, to some degree. Some differences in ICT usage between men and women also showed, where women for example tend to search online for teaching inspiration more frequently than men. The result also showed that the music teachers that participated in this study use ICT mostly for simple tasks that support the traditional education, as opposed to more advanced functions that demands a higher level competence, which are used less frequently. As the title reveals, the result also show that the informants experience a lack of reources that affects the prequisites for implementing digitization, in various ways. The most missing resource is according to this study time. The end diskussion of this study report mentions that the question ”how?” ought to be relevant for making the implementation of ICT in school context as smooth as possible.

The Swedish forestry industry has since the beginning of the mechanization in the 1950´s had a technology development that streamlined the industry and reduced costs. The role of lumberjacks has changed a lot since hand tools were replaced by high-tech forestry machines. Previous studies indicate that the profession suffers from a poor working environment and poor organizational governance, in terms of lack work management, working hours and high demands and stress levels. This has led forest machine operators choosing to quit their jobs. The purpose of the study was to identify key factors that motivate forest machine operators and how their attitude is to monetary rewards. The survey was carried out as a survey study at the forest industry company SCA, where a questionnaire on motivation factors was sent to all forest machine operators. Swedish Cellulose is one of Sweden´s largest forest companies and Europe´s largest private forest owner. 48 machine operators responded to the questionnaire, the number of respondents to the whole brand was small, but a total survey for SCA. For a more generalizable result at brand level, more respondents had been desirable. Most of all work task and colleagues motivates the forest machine operators. Their motivation is disturbed by the lack of career opportunities and the lack of opportunities to influence decisions. The forest machine operators would get more motivation through more varied tasks and they think the most important thing about their work is to develop and become more professionally skilled. Performance-based monetary rewards motivate forest machine operators. Additional pay motivates them more than other forms of rewards, and they positively endorse the performance-based payroll system that exists at SCA today. Suggestions to needed measures to make forest machine operators motivated are more feedback from the leadership as well as involving the machine operators in decisions that are made. Communication between the leadership and machine operators needs to be improved to increase job satisfaction and maintain the motivation of employees. In order to increase their motivation, their work and duties need to vary more than they do today. What the responds consider would increase the variation in their work is unclear, and needs to be explored more closely. Skogsbruket i Sverige har sedan mekaniseringens början under 1950- talet haft en teknikutveckling som effektiviserat branschen och sänkt kostnaderna. Rollen som skogsarbetare har gått från yxa och såg till att idag som skogsmaskinförare manövrera högteknologiska skogsmaskiner. Tidigare studier pekar på att yrket lider av bristfällig arbetsmiljö och dålig organisatorisk styrning, i form av bristande arbetsledning, långa arbetstider samt höga krav och stressnivåer. Detta har lett till att skogsmaskinförare valt att sluta. Syftet med studien var att identifiera nyckelfaktorer som motiverar skogsmaskinförare och hur deras inställning är till monetära belöningar. Undersökningen gjordes som en surveyundersökning hos skogsindustriföretaget Svenska Cellulosa AB där en enkät med frågor om motivationsfaktorer skickades ut till alla anställda skogsmaskinförare. SCA är ett av Sveriges största skogsbolag och Europas största privata skogsägare. 48 maskinförare besvarade enkäten, antal respondenter sett till hela branschen var litet, men ändå en totalundersökning för SCA. För ett mer generaliserbart resultat på branschnivå hade fler respondenter varit önskvärt. Det som motiverar skogsmaskinförarna mest är arbetsuppgifter och kollegorna. Deras motivation störs av bristen på karriärsmöjligheter och bristen på möjligheter att kunna påverka beslut. Skogsmaskinförarna skulle få ökad motivation genom mer varierande arbetsuppgifter och de anser att det viktigaste på arbetet för dem är att utvecklas och bli yrkesmässigt skickligare. Prestationsbaserade monetära belöningar motiverar skogsmaskinförarna. Pengar motiverar dem mer än andra former av belöningar och de ställer sig positiva till det prestationsbaserade lönepremiesystem som finns idag hos SCA. De åtgärder som behöver vidtas för att skogsmaskinförare ska vara motiverade är mer återkoppling eller feedback från arbetsledningen samt involvera maskinförarna mer i beslut som fattas. Kommunikationen mellan arbetsledning och maskinförare behöver förbättras för att öka arbetsglädjen och behålla motivationen hos de anställda. För att öka deras motivation behöver arbetet och arbetsuppgifterna variera mer än de gör idag. Vad respondenterna anser skulle öka variationen i deras arbete är oklart, och behöver undersökas närmare.

Studiens syfte var att undersöka den psykosociala arbetsmiljöns betydelse när anställda bestämmer sig för att säga upp sina arbeten i en industriell organisation. Samt att undersöka om anställningstid inom organisationen och ålder hade betydelse för avsikt att lämna. En kvantitativ forskningsstrategi användes för studien, där en webbaserad enkätundersökning genomfördes hos en organisation inom den industriella sektorn. Ett representativt urval genererade 138 svar, vilket resulterade i en svarsfrekvens på 57%. Mätinstrument för studien bestod av verktyget Intention to Leave Scale (Kelloway, Gottlieb & Barham, 1999) samt delar av Copenhagen Psychological Questionnaire(Kristensen, Hannerz, Høgh & Borg, 2005). För denna studie uppnåddes en Cronbach’salfa reliabilitetskoefficient för Intention to Leave Scale på α = .86 samt α = .89 för dimensionen samarbete och ledning, α = .82 för dimensionen arbetstillfredsställelse samtα = .90 för dimensionen värderingar på arbetsplatsen från Copenhagen Psychological Questionnaire. Pearson’s korrelationsanalys samt envägs-ANOVA användes för att analysera insamlad data. Analysresultaten påvisade signifikanta samband mellan avsikt att lämna och psykosocial arbetsmiljö. Det visades inga signifikanta skillnader avseende avsikt att lämna sett till anställningstid och ålder. Utifrån presenterade resultat drogs slutsatsen att det i linje med tidigare studier även fanns samband inom den industriella sektorn. För framtida forskning ansågs det finnas behov av kausalitetsstudier av ämnet. The purpose of this study was to investigate the importance of the psychosocial work environment when employees decide to terminate their employment within an industrial organization. The purpose was also to investigate whether or not tenure and age was of importance for intentions to leave. A quantitative design was used for the study, where a web-based survey was conducted at an organization within the industrial sector. A representative selection generated 138 responses, resulting in a response rate of 57%. The instruments used were the Intention to Leave Scale (Kelloway, Gottlieb & Barham, 1999) and parts of the Copenhagen Psychological Questionnaire (Kristensen, Hannerz, Høgh & Borg, 2005). For this study, Cronbach's alpha reliability coefficient for the Intention to Leave Scale was α = .86 and for the Copenhagen Psychological Questionnairedimensions; α = .89 for Interpersonal relations and leadership, α = .82 for Job satisfaction, and α = .90 for Values at the workplace. Pearson's correlation analysis and One-Way ANOVA were used to analyze collected data. The results show significant relationships between intention to leave and psychosocial work environment. There were no significant differences regarding the intention to leave based on age or tenure. The findings of the study were in line with previous research, therefore it was concluded that a correlation existed within the industrial sector as well. For future research, it was implied that a need for causality studies of the subject was apparent.

Bakgrund: Tidigare forskning visar att många ungdomar är missnöjda med sin kropp. Ungdomstiden innebär sociala, psykiska och emotionella förändringar. Under denna tid blir kroppens utseende viktigt, där samhällets normer och ideal påverkar ungdomens uppfattning om hur deras kropp skall se ut. Det är under denna tid som kroppsuppfattningen hos ungdomar påverkas mest. Syfte: Syftet med denna studie var att undersöka kroppsuppfattning, självbild, välbefinnande och isoBMI hos flickor som går på högstadiet. Metod: En tvärsnittsstudie med kvantitativ design genomfördes utifrån en hälsoenkät som används i samband med hälsobesök hos skolsköterskan för elever på högstadiet. Frågor avseende kroppsuppfattning, självbild, välbefinnande och Body Mass Index (BMI) har analyserats och jämförts. Resultatet redovisas både deskriptivt och analytiskt, där skillnader mellan variabler har undersökts. Resultat: Merparten av flickorna upplever ett högt välbefinnande och är nöjda med sin kropp och sig själva. Dock framkommer att en stor andel av flickorna önskar väga mindre och har försökt att förändra sin vikt och att missnöjet kring kroppen ökar vid stigande isoBMI. Resultatet visar också att flickornas kroppsuppfattning och självbild har betydelse för deras upplevelse av hälsa och välbefinnande. Slutsats: Det är av stor vikt att belysa detta ämne då det finns ett behov av att främja ett positivt tankesätt kring kroppsuppfattning hos unga flickor. Barnsjuksköterskan kan utifrån ett öppet förhållningssätt i sitt hälsofrämjande arbete uppmärksamma och stödja dessa flickor i ett tidigt skede Background: Previous research shows that many adolescents are dissatisfied with their body. Youth time means social, mental and emotional changes. During this time, the appearance of the body becomes important, where society's norms and ideals affect the youth's perception of how their body looks. It is during this time that the body perception of adolescents is most affected. Aim: The aim of this study was to investigate body perception, self-image, well-being and isoBMI in girls at high school. Method: A cross-sectional study with quantitative design was conducted based on a health survey used in connection with health visits to the school nurse for high school students. Questions regarding body perception, self-image, well-being and Body Mass Index (BMI) have been analyzed and compared. The result is presented both descriptively and analytically, where differences between variables have been investigated. Result: Most of the girls experience a high well-being and are satisfied with their body and themselves. Though, it appears that a large proportion of girls want to weigh less and have tried to change their weight and that the discomfort around the body increases with increasing isoBMI. The result also shows that the girls' body perception and self-image is important for their experience of health and well-being. Conclusion: It is of great importance to illustrate this topic as there is a need to promote a positive mindset about body perception in young girls. The pediatric nurse may pay attention to and support these girls in an early stage, based on an open approach in their health promotion work.

Under utbildningen motiveras studenter av olika faktorer under olika tidpunkter. Syftet med studien är således att undersöka vilka motivationsskillnader det finns bland socionomstudenter vid Högskolan i Jönköping under olika terminer i relation till Herzbergs motivationsteori och altruism. Studien undersöker skillnader i kön, ålder, civilstatus, tidigare erfarenhet eller kontakt med socialarbetare, vilken termin studenten befinner sig i och studiemotivation i relation till hygienfaktor, motivator samt altruism. Denna kvantitativa enkätstudie med tvärsnittsdesign genomförs under handledning av Mats Granlund, professor i handikappvetenskap samt psykologi, med 110 socionomstudenter i Jönköping University som deltagare. Resultatet påvisar att det finns skillnader i hur tilltalande hygienfaktor, motivatorer och altruism är som motivation är i relation till kön och vilken termin man befinner sig i. Det fanns inga skillnader i studenternas egna generella uppskattning av studiemotivation i relation till deras kön, ålder, civilstatus, tidigare erfarenhet eller kontakt med socialarbetare och vilken termin studenten befinner sig i. En slutsats är att socionomstudenters upplevelse av hygienfaktor, motivator och altruism varierar mellan olika terminer. During their education students are motivated by different factors at different times. The purpose of the study is thus to investigate the motivational differences that exist among social education students at Högskolan in Jönköping in different semesters concerning to Herzberg motivational theory and altruism. The study examines differences in sex, age, civil status, previous experience or contact with social workers, what semester the student is in and study motivation in relation to altruism, motivator and hygiene factor. This cross-sectional quantitative survey study is conducted under the supervision of Mats Granlund, professor of disability sciences and psychology, and with the assistance of 110 social work students at Jönköping University as a participant. The results reveal differences in how appealing hygiene factors, motivators and altruism are as motivating factors in relation to gender and the semester the student is in. However we found no differences in students’ self-appreciation of their overall study motivation concerning to their gender, age, civil status, past experience or contact with social workers and what semester the student is in. One conclusion is that the importance given to social experiences of hygiene factor, motivator and altruism are probably varied dependent on semester.

Background Based on the writers’ experiences, the ear thermometer is the most common method for temperature measurements, even though patients usually not are asked if they prefer it. No previous research about patients’ experiences of measurements with different thermometers was found. Aim The aim of the study was to assess and compare patients' inconvenience and expected inconvenience, and preferences of different thermometers, totally and divided by gender and age. Method A survey with 31 hospitalized patients in Central Sweden was conducted. The questionnaire contained questions about experienced and expected inconveniences from different types of thermometers. Data were analyzed using the Mann Whitney U-test and the results are descriptively presented. Results Compared to oral and rectal thermometers, the ear thermometer was considered the least unpleasant. It was also the most preferred thermometer. The patients ranked the methods’ correctness as the most important characteristic. Regarding the different methods and also regarding experienced and expected inconveniences there were no statistically significant differences between age groups or between gender. Conclusion Most participants preferred the ear thermometer before the rectal thermometer and the oral thermometer. The majority wanted a thermometer that was as precise as possible. More studies are needed to investigate differences between expectations and experiences of the thermometers. Studies that will conclude if there is a disparity between different age groups and gender are recommended. Bakgrund Enligt författarnas erfarenhet är örontermometern idag den mest förekommande mätmetoden, vilken används även om patienterna inte blivit tillfrågade om de föredrar en annan metod. Ingen forskning kring patienternas upplevelser av olika temperaturmätningsmetoder står att finna. Syfte Syftet var att undersöka patienters upplevda och förväntade obehag samt preferenser av temperaturmätningsmetoder, totalt sett och fördelat på köns- och åldersgrupper. Metod En enkätstudie med 31 patienter på sjukhus i Mellansverige genomfördes. Enkäten innehöll frågor om bl.a. patientens upplevda och förväntade obehag av olika temperaturmätningsmetoder och om vilka karakteristika som var viktigast vid valet av termometer. Data analyserades med hjälp av Mann Whitney U-test och resultatet presenteras deskriptivt. Resultat Örontermometer ansågs vara mindre obehaglig än oral och rektal temperaturmätning, och var också den mest föredragna mätmetoden. Patienterna ansåg att den viktigaste karakteristikan hos en mätmetod var att den var korrekt. Det fanns ingen statistiskt signifikant skillnad mellan ålders- eller könsgrupperna avseende obehag av de olika mätmetoderna eller mellan de som hade erfarenheter av mätmetoderna och de som skattade förväntat obehag av samma mätmetoder. Slutsats De flesta patienter föredrog örontermometern framför rektal- och oraltermometern. Majoriteten ville också ha en termometer som är så korrekt som möjligt. Ytterligare studier för att undersöka om det finns en skillnad mellan patienters förväntningar och upplevelser av olika temperaturmätningsmetoder behövs. Även studier som kan utröna om det finns skillnader mellan olika åldersgrupper och mellan kvinnor och män rekommenderas.

En kvantitativ enkätstudie har genomförts med syfte att undersöka korrelationer och prediktioner mellan vuxen anknytning och copingstrategier. Urvalet till studien är 133 studenter från olika universitet och högskolor i Sverige som besvarade en enkät. För att mäta vuxen anknytning användes Experience in close relationship (ECR-R) och för att mäta copingstrategier användes Brief COPE. Insamlad data analyserades i SPSS med Pearsons korrelationskoefficient test och multipel regressionsanalys. Resultatet från föreliggande studie visade på ett negativt signifikant samband mellan ångestladdad anknytning och problemfokuserad coping. Resultatet visade även på ett negativt signifikant samband mellan undvikande anknytning och problemfokuserad coping. Resultatet visade på ett signifikant samband mellan ångestladdad anknytning och dysfunktionell coping. Resultatet visade även på ett signifikant samband mellan undvikande anknytning och dysfunktionell coping. Föreliggande studies resultat visade att det inte fanns något samband mellan ångestladdad anknytning och emotionsfokuserad coping. Resultatet från föreliggande studie visade även att det inte fanns något samband mellan undvikande anknytning och emotionsfokuserad coping. Resultatet visade på att ångestladdad anknytning var en signifikant prediktor av problemfokuserad coping där 15 % av variansen för problemfokuserad förklarades. Ångestladdad anknytning var en signifikant prediktor för dysfunktionell coping där 22 % av variansen förklarades. Slutsatserna är att studenter med ångestladdad och undvikande anknytning använder i lägre grad problemfokuserad coping. Studenter med ångestladdad och undvikande anknytning använder i högre grad dysfunktionella copingstrategier. Slutsatsen är även att andra variabler än vuxen anknytning påverkar användande av olika copingstrategier. A quantitative survey study has been carried out to investigate possible correlations and predictions between adult attachment and coping strategies. The sample for the study was 133 students from various Universities and colleges in Sweden who answered a questionnaire. . To measure adult attachment this study used Experience in close relationship (ECR-R), and copingstrategies was measured by Brief COPE. Data collected were analyzed in SPSS using the Pearson correlationcoefficient test and multiple regression analysis. The results from the present study showed significant negative correlation between anxiety loaded attachment and problem focused coping. The results also showed a significant negative correlation between avoidance attachment and problem focused coping. The results from the present study showed a significant correlation between anxiety loaded attachment and dysfunctional coping. The results also showed a significant correlation between avoidance attachment and dysfunctional coping. The study results showed that there was no correlation between anxiety loaded attachment and emotion focused coping. The results also showed that there was no correlation between avoidance attachment and emotion focused coping. The result from the present study showed that anxiety loaded extension was a significant predictor of problem-focused coping where 15% of the variance of problem-focused was explained. Anxiety loaded attachment was a significant predictor of dysfunctional coping where 22% of the variance was explained. The conclusions are that students with anxiety loaded and avoidance attachment use lower grade of problem-focused coping. Students with anxiety and avoidance attachment uses increasingly dysfunctional coping strategies. It is concluded that variables other than adult attachment affects using various coping strategies.

Förändringar på arbetsmarknaden på grund av nedskärningar och effektiviseringar har för individen inneburit mer ansvar, tyngre arbetsbörda och högre krav i arbetsuppgiften. Med denna utveckling har stressrelaterade sjukdomar ökat i Sverige de senaste åren. Det framkommer att det sociala stödet kan fungera som en hälsofrämjande resurs i förhållande till graden av arbetsrelaterad stress. Vidare kan en hög belastning i arbetslivet och i privatlivet kan ha en negativ effekt och bidra till en högre skadlig stressnivå. Syftet med studien är därefter att undersöka i vilken utsträckning socialt stöd och dubbelbelastning kan kopplas till arbetsrelaterad stress. Resultatet har analyserats med teoretisk ansats utifrån Krav-kontroll-stödmodellen och socialt stöd som hälsofrämjande resurs. För att undersöka sambandet mellan socialt stöd och dubbelbelastning i förhållande till arbetsrelaterad stress tillämpades en kvantitativ enkätstudie. Insamlad data analyserades i univariata samt multivariata linjära regressionsanalyser. Analysen visade inte att arbetsrelaterad stress hade något signifikant samband med socialt stöd i arbetslivet, i privatlivet och dubbelbelastning. Dock framkom det att kön var associerat med graden av arbetsrelaterad stress. Changes in the labor market because of downsizing and efficiency improvements for the individual meant more responsibility, workload and the increasing demands of the job. With this development, stress-related diseases have increased in Sweden in recent years. It appears that social support can serve as a health resource in relation to the degree of work-related stress. Furthermore, a high load at work and in private life may have an adverse effect and contribute to a higher distress levels. The purpose of this study is then to examine the extent to which social support and the double burden can be linked to work-related stress. The results have been analyzed with the theoretical approach based on the Demand-Control-Support model and social support that health promotion resource. To examine the relationship between social support and the double burden in relation to work-related stress a quantitative survey has been applied. Collected data were analyzed in univariate and multivariate linear regression analyzes. The analysis revealed that work-related stress had no significant correlation with social support at work, in private and double load. However, it emerged that gender was associated with the rate of work-related stress.

I Sverige pågick under 2013 efterbehandlingsåtgärder på 1789 förorenade områden. Det nationella miljömålet ”giftfri miljö” har av regeringen angetts som det styrande miljö- målet vid efterbehandling. Efterbehandlingen syftar till att minska risken för förore- ningsspridning i mark från avslutade verksamheter som industrier, vägar med mera. Schaktning av massor utförs vid efterbehandling för att avlägsna förorenade massor från platsen men innebär samtidigt utsläpp av växthusgaser. Både vid schaktning och transport av förorenade massor samt framställande och transport av fyllnadsmaterial används fordon och maskiner som genererar växthusgasutsläpp. Efterbehandlingsarbetet riskerar alltså att ge en negativ påverkan på miljömålet ”begränsad klimatpåverkan”. I denna studie söks svar på frågorna: Kan efterbehandling av förorenade områden bedri- vas med simultan hänsyn till de båda miljömålen ”giftfri miljö” och ”begränsad klimat- påverkan”? och Hur ska ett sådant arbete bedrivas? För att besvara dessa frågor använ- des det webbaserade beräkningsverktyget Carbon footprint från efterbehandling och andra markarbeten från Svenska geotekniska föreningen, SGF, samt en enkätstudie riktad till tillsynsmyndigheter. Beräkningar med verktyget visade att det som främst påverkar växthusgasutsläppen vid efterbehandling är typ av fyllnadsmassor, sammanlagd transportsträcka samt lastkapa- citet hos fordon som transporterar massor. Ingen av de tillfrågade tillsynsmyndigheterna tar hänsyn till växthusgasutsläpp vid godkännande av efterbehandlingsåtgärd. Många ställer sig dock positiva till ett verktyg som ger möjlighet att göra en avvägning mellan miljömål och tror att det skulle underlätta deras arbete. Två strategier som tar större hänsyn till växthusgasutsläpp identifierades. Strategi 1 innebär att sanering sker enligt riktvärdena för känslig eller mindre känslig mark- användning (KM/MKM) och växthusgasutsläppen minimeras genom effektiviserings- åtgärder. Som effektiviseringsåtgärd identifierades bland annat användning av lastbilar med större lastkapacitet och användning av återvunna massor som fyllnadsmaterial. Strategi 2 innebär en avvägning mellan miljömålen ”giftfri miljö” och ”begränsad kli- matpåverkan”. Riktvärdena för KM och MKM kan i strategin överskridas för att mini- mera växthusgasutsläpp. Effektiviseringsåtgärderna från strategi 1 implementeras även i strategi 2. In Sweden, 1789 contaminated sites were remediated during 2013. The government has stated the national environmental objective “A Non-Toxic Environment” as the gov- erning environmental objective in remediation. The aim of remediation is to reduce the risk of dispersion of contamination in soils from discontinued activities such as indus- tries, roads etc. Excavation of soils takes place to remove contaminated soil from the site. However, it leads to emissions of greenhouse gases. Machines that generate emis- sions of greenhouse gases are needed in excavation, transport of contaminated soils and the production and transport of filling materials. Thus, the environmental objective “Reduced Climate Impact” is likely to be adversely affected by soil remediation. This study was conducted to answer the questions: Can soil remediation be conducted with simultaneous regard to the environmental objectives “A Non-Toxic Environment” and “Reduced Climate Impact”? and How should such efforts be conducted? Two methods were used: the web based calculation tool Carbon footprint from remediation and other soil works from the Swedish Geotechnical Society, SGF, and a survey ad- dressed to regulatory authorities. Calculations with the tool showed that the main impacts on greenhouse gas emissions were choice of filling materials, total transportation distance and carrying load of the vehicles transporting soils. None of the respondent regulatory authorities take green- house gas emissions into account when approving remediation operations. However, many of them displayed positive attitude towards a tool that would make it possible to compare impacts on environmental objectives and stated that such a tool would facili- tate their work. Two strategies that give more consideration to greenhouse gas emissions were identi- fied. In strategy 1, remediation is conducted according to the guidelines of sensitive or less sensitive land use (KM/MKM). The greenhouse gas emissions are minimized through efficiency improvement measures. Use of vehicles with a greater carrying load and recovered soils as filling material are examples of identified efficiency improve- ment measures. Strategy 2 consists of achieving a balance between the environmental objectives “A Non-Toxic Environment” and “Reduced Climate Impact”. In this strat- egy, KM and MKM can be exceeded to minimize greenhouse gas emissions. The effi- ciency improvement measures from strategy 1 can be implemented in strategy 2.

Vattnet är en livsviktig resurs för levande organismer och ekosystem. Idag används vatten i alla möjliga sammanhang vilket har lett tillatt vattnet har blivit övergött och förorenat. Utsläpp av näringsämnen i för stora mängder anses vara den största orsaken til lövergödning och detta gäller framför allt utsläpp av avloppsvatten. Syftet med denna uppsats var att undersöka Sveriges kommunerskartläggningsstrategier för enskilda avlopp och vilka åtgärder de vidtar, samt hur många enskilda avlopp det finns. För att ta reda pådetta skickades en enkät och ett följebrev ut till alla kommuner i Sverige och sedan sammanställdes dessa. Av Sveriges 290 kommunervar det 232 som deltog. De vanligaste strategierna för att kartlägga enskilda avlopp är att skicka ut enkäter eller göra inventeringar. I många fall används bådastrategierna med enkät som ett första steg och inventering som ett andra. Resultatet av enkäten visar att mellan 50-90 % av de enskildaavloppen är undermåliga eller bristfälliga och att åtgärder krävs. Kommunerna ställer krav på fastighetsägarna att åtgärda sina avloppinom en viss tidsram annars kan förbud att använda avloppen utfärdas. Undersökningen visade att det finns ungefär 813 000 enskilda avloppsanläggningar i Sverige, vilket är en ökning med cirka 71 000 sedan2006. Ökningen kan bero på att fler än hälften av Sveriges kommuner har gjort en kartläggning sedan 2006

This thesis studies teachers’ and students’ conceptions of history and history teaching and aims to explain the importance of an interest in history among teachers and students of the subject. Research on teachers’ conceptions (e.g. Martin 2005) shows that the didactical question “Why?” influences the “How?” and “Why?” questions and that teachers’ thinking about their own practice is mainly influenced by their background and their experiences from teaching. Research on students’ opinions (e.g. Youth and History, 1997) shows that they enjoy history shown in films, that they appreciate museums, and that the preferred topic is 20th century history. In this thesis learning is envisaged as something individual but it is the learners’ social context that defines what is important, meaningful and interesting to learn. The research methods consist of a survey study concerning the pupils’ attitudes towards history and history education, and an interview study with their teachers about their teaching and their opinions about history in general. Nine teachers and their 217 pupils participated. It is mainly topics from 20th century that are described as interesting by both students and teachers. The teachers had different views on the didactical whyquestion, which they described either as student oriented or subject oriented. Their views on why history is important influenced their teaching methods. The student oriented teachers stated that their pupils’ needs and wishes affect their methods while the subject oriented teachers said that they give varying lessons, and have a more student active teaching, but decide for themselves what teaching methods are to be used. The subject matter is influenced by the teachers’ personal interest in history, in most cases a Eurocentric political history. This choice of content, and the teachers own interest, are explained by the historical culture of Swedish society rather than the curriculum. The teachers state that exciting stories and dramatic events related in books or films were, and still are, important to their interest in history. Their individual interpretation of what is important and meaningful in their historical culture influences teachers’ personal interest, their knowledge, and the content of their history teaching. The students’ attitudes to history are also influenced by various factors, of which history education at school is merely one.

Rökning är en av de vanligaste riskfaktorerna för hjärtkärlsjukdom i Sverige. Det finns ett flertal vetenskapligt underbyggda metoder för att sluta röka. Rådgivning och motiverande samtal kring rökavvänjning, samt nikotinersättningsmedel är väl utarbetade metoder. Syftet är att undersöka vilket stöd till rökfrihet som rökande patienter får på avdelning 10 på UMAS. Metoden är en enkätstudie och resultatet presenteras genom kvantitativ data. Urvalet består av de patienter som befann sig på avdelningen (n = 75) de två veckor som studien genomfördes. Urvalet är ett icke slumpmässigt, ett konsekutivt, urval. Resultatet av studien visar att ett stort antal patienter inte tillfrågas i fall de är rökare. Det är också vanligare att män tillfrågas i fall de röker än kvinnor. Bland rökande patienter var nikotinersättningsmedel den vanligaste metoden som erbjudits för att vara rökfri. Vidare visar resultatet att flera av de patienter som svarat att de inte är rökare, tidigare har rökt. Då materialet som ligger till underlag för studiens resultat är litet bör slutsatserna av studien betraktas med försiktighet. Av samma anledning kan inte heller resultatet av studien anses vara generaliserbart för populationen och bör därför inte överföras på annan verksamhet. Smoking is one of the most common risk factors for heart and vascular diseases in Sweden. There are many scientifically proven methods to quit smoking. Among the well established ones are counselling and Motivational Interviewing together with different nicotine replacement therapies. The aim of this study was to investigate the support smoking patients are given not to smoke at ward 10 at UMAS. The chosen method is a survey study and the result is presented as quantitative data. The respondents are patients who were present at the ward (n = 75) during the two weeks when data was collected. It is a non-probability sample, a consecutive selection. The result shows that a large number of patients are not asked if they smoke. It is also more common to ask men than women if they smoke. Among the smoking patients nicotine replacement therapy is the most frequent method offered to stay off smoking. Further on the result shows that several of the patients who answered that they did not smoke were previous smokers. Considering the size of data collected the conclusions made in the study should be looked upon tentatively.
