This papers aims to explore some working conditions and transformations that affect the work of teachers and negatively impact their health and wellbeing. We offer a theoretical revision of the concepts of work team and cooperation, in order to understand why it is a critical condition for human work and for health in the individual agents. Later we examine how teaching teams that work in institutions suffer from the emerging conflict between group internal regulations and institucional external regulations, and suffering that is caused by the external control of the activity of teams. "New management" dispositives are also revised, which promote an individualization and responsabilization logic at work, pointing to values such as competitiveness, and affecting the health of workers. At the end, some specific conditions that cause suffering in teachers are described. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
