The construction projects, in the urbanization stage, have an important construction and demolition waste (C&DW) generation, in particular, the small road construction is important due to its volume. This paper establishes a simplified procedure, already tested in building construction, in order to properly manage the waste and to meet the current legislation. The first step is to properly determine the quantities and type of waste expected following the classification system. The second step is to generate the waste management study, which includes among others: the management budget. Finally, the procedure is applied to road project, which compares two possible waste management scenarios. The model concludes that road recycling is not only environmentally better but economically as well. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
