The socioeconomic importance of tourism worldwide, truncated by the COVID-19 health crisis, has led to a commitment to innovation to survive the new environment. Given that the entrepreneurship literature highlights the presence of a gender bias inentrepreneurial endeavors, the aim of this study is to ascertain the current state of knowledge regarding theexistence, or absence, of a gender component in innovation among those involved in entrepreneurial activitieswithin the tourism. The research, a systematic analysis of the literature, searching for bibliographic references in the Web of Science and Scopus databases, as well as a manual search for any other that may exist in international organizations such as the UNWTO or the WTTC and through reverse references. This article identifies the main risks that could generate crises in the Latin American tourism industry for the 2020-2022 triennium, based on a literature review and a think tank with 38 security experts, within the framework of the 2020 Congress of the Latin American Security Association in Punta Cana. A list of 20 main risks was established o which the group of experts was questioned. A Likert scale was used to define their importance according to their probability or consequences. As a result, it was determined that the main risks that could impact tourism are viruses and pests, natural hazards, sabotage to critical infrastructure, public insecurity, and scandals and rumors. The relationship between cultural heritage and economic development of a territory is explained when the tourism value chain, endogenous factors of the destination -such as cultural tradition-, and supporting factors - infrastructure and political conditions- intervene. In this context, it is important to recognize the dynamics that are particular to the destinations, as these allow creating competitive advantages to take the lead over direct competitors when attracting tourists. This article presents a methodological review of the Regional Tourism Competitiveness Index in Colombia for capital cities, with the purpose of evaluating the performance of cities and the existing relationships between endogenous factors, the tourism value chain, and the economic and social conditions. This is carried out by using the Partial Least Squares-Path Modeling method, with a view to establish relationships among unobservable variables based on values that were evaluated on a Likert scale. The results show that there is a positive relationship between the use of cultural heritage and the competitiveness of a tourist destination. Bogota, Medellin, and Cartagena are the cities with the best overall performance, due to the good support structure given to the tourism chain and political conditions. Cities with a high level of heritage, such as Tunja or Popayán, signal performance problems attributed the conditions of infrastructure, marketing, and destination management, which prevent them from taking advantage of their capabilities. This document presents a symbiotic tourist model for Caño Cristales which is located in the municipality of La Macarena, Colombia, and known as the most beautiful river in the world. The characteristics of the tourism model developed is analysed as a successful strategy of the implementation of the peace agreements. As a methodology, the application of the biological organizational metaphor is used to understand the cooperation processes in the tourist chain. The symbiotic model allows for innovative coevolutionary processes in the region. In this proposal, sustainable development is the main foundation of social, economic and environmental development. It is concluded that the strategies which permit the construction of social fabric, transformation and development in environments of peace and sustainable development make the success of the model possible, both in terms of tourism as well as in the process of consolidation of peace and citizen culture. This article presents part of the results of the research project "Strategies for Increasing Competitiveness through the Conformation of the Health Tourism Cluster in the Metropolitan Area of Bucaramanga -AMB", required to qualify for the Master's degree in Business Development of the Faculty of Business Sciences of Universidad del Magdalena. The objective of this paper is to demonstrate the progress of the autonomous conformation of the health tourism cluster in Colombia. In this regard, we assess, in a methodological and rigorous way, the prospects of the health tourism market, from bibliographic review in English and Spanish -of a public, private and scientific institutional nature- by business initiative, as well as from studies carried out in regions of Colombia and worldwide, that have implemented this line as a development option by exploiting surrounding competitive advantages. Among the obtained results, the angles or dimensions of this phenomenon, in the economic and social context, become clear. In addition, the tourism patterns are highlighted, as well as the reasons why progress has been made in the conformation of the different clusters at a national level.
