Health encompasses subjective aspects, such as physical, mental and social well-being, determined by the human being's capacity to function and adapt, which enable a good experiential relationship. In this sense, a study was carried out with the objective of determining the risk factors that affect the physical and mental health of nursing teachers. An Action-Research-Participation methodology was used, which allowed a diagnosis of the needs and problems in the daily spaces of their activity as participants. The problems were listed and defined according to magnitude, transcendence, seriousness, impact and finally prioritized, emphasizing causes, effects, and consequences. Subsequently, an action plan was drawn up within an FCI project. The population was confirmed by 10 teachers of nursing of the university of Guayaquil, who have been working for more than 2 years in the career and lived the experience of assuming the telework in pandemic. It is concluded that the risk factors that affect the physical and mental health of the teachers of nursing of the University of Guayaquil are related to the excess of activities that they must realize in front of a computer, the same ones that alter patterns life of each one of those involved. The present study aims to develop an automated ergonomic evaluation system, based on the OWAS method, for assessing a steel bar bending process performed at a construction company in Mexico. The system evaluates production operators' postures and movements by using Microsoft's Kinect sensor. To perform each ergonomic evaluation, the software processes information captured by the sensor, which detects movement of human body joints. The proposed methodology specifies the creation, development, and testing of the system during a repetitive operation, which is known historically for causing the highest number of injuries and work-related disabilities. The result is an automated tool capable of developing ergonomic evaluations in real time. Reliability and effectiveness is demonstrated statistically (95% confidence) by comparing the software's automated evaluation with that of an expert (traditional evaluation). It is concluded that the automated system developed here delivers ergonomic evaluations that yield reliable and safe results that can improve decisionmaking processes. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Clear evidence that dynamic seats positively influences productivity is presented in this work. Twenty-eight voluntary women participated in an experiment involving two situations: a) with tilting seat motion and b) without tilting seat motion. Then, four common office tasks were assessed: reading, handwriting, internet browsing and keyboard writing. Two aspects were measured during the experiments: productive time and number of mistakes. It was found that a dynamic seat does not significantly affect office workers performance. On the contrary, the descriptive analysis shows higher productive time and lower number of mistakes. It is suggested that these dynamic seat configurations should be a requirement in the design of office seats. It has been shown that they reduce discomfort due to lumbar pain and contribute to increase work productivity. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Women nowadays develop in different areas, in which professional excellence is combined with the personal presentation. In this last aspect, the footwear is a fundamental and indispensable element. With the purpose to offer women not only an aesthetically Acceptable footwear, but also light and flexible, this Work was developed in two stages: the first validated the need to design comfortable and esthetic shoes for the woman of today, By means of a survey of 50 women of different Professions, which travel long distances in their Daily routine and to which were counted the number Of steps that they regularly execute in the day, through an intelligent adjustment band. As a result, it was identified that the heel height and the number of steps in a day are the relevant factors that influence in the pain level of these women's feet at the end of the working day. In this way, in a second stage Ergonomic women's casual shoes were designed to relieve pain and combine the development of a new sole and a Characteristic shoe of a commercial company. For this article the literature was taken from scientific databases as Pub- Med and ClinicalKey, also in journals such as The Journal of the American Medical Association and The American Journal of kidney diseases, of the 58 bibliographies that were found, 50 articles and publications were useful based on the content of the title and the abstract, in which it was found that stay in a sitting position for long periods of time has been regarded as sedentary lifestyle, this creates discomfort on bone and muscles and also has implications for the cardiovascular, renal and musculoskeletal system, beside metabolic alterations and even compromise the patient's mental status. Many solutions have been raised to this problem, as increased physical activity and improvements in ergonomics places of study, work or general environments where patients remain seated for more than 8 hours. Making changes against the postural activity and the extension of it, not only avoid the risks mentioned above, but also reduces fatigue levels, postprandial glucose values can be reduce by 16% and prevent atherosclerotic activity, all of this providing a better quality of life.
