The use of certain techniques to impel the production brings countless affectations to the ecosystem; this happens for the lack of a true environmental culture. This work has as objective to evaluate the level of knowledge of managers, researchers, specialists and agricultural machinery personnel in the application of farming technologies and its incidence in the environment. For it was elaborated a survey directed to the checking of the environmental education, in order to evaluate the knowledge on how the agricultural machinery impact in the environment and which measures can take to diminish or to avoid it. The results indicate that although exists a general culture on the concept of environmental impact, there are not wholly knowledge aboutits effects. The entirety of those interviewed knows the different methods of soil farming and having in account its characteristics, which are the most aggressive, however 100 % of those interviewed revealed that in its radius faction it is applied the traditional technology of soil farming and all coincided that becomes necessary that before introducing a new technology in the productive process, it is necessary to evaluate its environmental impact. The use of national raw materials to enrich the new formulations of fertilizers contributes to diminish the employment of expensive chemical products. The Engineering and Chemical Research Center (CIIQ) has assumed the task of developing fertilizers using minerals, microorganisms, raw matters of national origin. The objective of this work is to show the results of the agronomicevaluation of eleven treatments, including the nine formulations given by the CIIQ, a witness without fertilizer application and a witness with a NPK formula. The work was carried out in an experimental organoponic located in the municipality Arroyo Naranjo. Each formulation was applied in little plots of 2.0 x 0.90 m, in which lettuce (variety Black seeded Simpson) was planted. The behavior was evaluated from the sowing until the crop, being determined indicators of growth (height of the plant, number of leaves, and diameter of the shaft) and the yield. In the studied indicators was observed that there are not significant differences in the treatments (1 at the 9) with relationship to the NPK (10) treatment. In the treatments 1, 4, 6, 7, 8 and 9 are an increment of the yield with relationship to the NPK treatment, more remarkable in the 1 and the 6. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

This work has as objective to validate two technologies (T1 and T2) with animal traction in soil preparation in the Experimental Unit of the Institute of Agricultural Engineering Research (IAgric) located in the farm “Pulido", Alquízar municipality, Artemisa province, Cuba, starting from the physical properties of the soil and its hardness. For this study and validation were determined the physical properties of the soil: humidity, hardness and apparent density among other, before and after the plolwing of the soil in the experimental area of study. Under conditions of exploitation were determined the following indicators: depth, width and work speed in the soil farming with the two technologies. When comparing the technologies it was obtained a decrease in the percent of the apparent density of T2 with regard to the T1 for the layers of the soil. In the layer 0-10 cm it diminishes in 3.5 %; in the layer 10-20 cm the T2 diminishes almost 5 % with regard to the T1. In the case of the hardness, the behavior is similar to that of the density, being observed a decrease when comparing the two technologies [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
