Leadership issues in shadow education are under-researched in national, regional and international contexts. In China, local and central governments have imposed stringent control on academic K9 paid tutorial lessons, provided by cram schools under the new double reduction policy (DRP). Many large-scale cram schools have undergone drastic changes in their organizational structure, marketing strategies and the working environment under the COVID-19 attack and DRP. This study aims to conceptualize how their academic managers in some regions of China exhibited traits of entrepreneurial leadership involving competence and resilience. Qualitative research methods included content analysis of policy documents, observation of tutorial lessons and semi-structured interviews with academic managers. Without overgeneralization, this study merely acts as a motivational guide for complementing the existing research literature on cram schools in China and enriching the international research literature on entrepreneurial leadership in mass tutoring. The development of ceramic art as an aesthetic medium in Chinese education is significant aspect of contemporary fine arts education system. This study explored the status of contemporary status of ceramic arts in education and its linkage with aesthetic pleasure within the context of China. The dimensions considered in this study included integration of ceramic arts in the curriculum of Chinese universities, edu-communicative function of ceramic arts, the aesthetic characteristics of ceramic art and role of modern digital tools in spreading the art and craft associated with clay. To fulfill the aims of study and to reach an efficient conclusion, this study employed a qualitative approach. Using this approach, an overview of Chinese ceramic education was presented using both primary and secondary data, where the primary data was derived from interviews with informants from relevant universities. The findings of the study highlight that ceramic art is a significant aspect of contemporary Chinese arts education in its universities, which has the dual objective of develop artistic skills of students and also enhance the edu-communicative function of the ceramic art representing the Chinese culture. The findings revealed that ceramic art not only caried aesthetic elements but it was also a prime source of creating aesthetic pleasure as it played the role of aesthetic medium in education. It was evident that due to its aesthetic purpose, ceramic art demonstrated the notions of 'Art for Art's sake'. It has also been found that digital tools play a significant role in bringing innovation in ceramic art education and spread the skills of clay-art. The findings of this paper have numerous implications for the personnel and practitioners of Chinese fine arts institutions especially those who have curriculum related to ceramic art. Romance of the Three Kingdoms is an important literature masterpiece and is worthy of studying from multiple angles. The translation is one of them. The objectives of the present article are, firstly, to introduce the translations of the book into different languages with special attention to Spanish; secondly, to analyze the repercussion of the novel beyond the literary ambit; and, thirdly and lastly, to revise the translation studies about the historic work. To reach the first two objectives, a revision of the translation of the book has been done. The products derived from the novel and translated into Spanish, such as films and videogames, have also been studied. The bibliographical revision has been accomplished by using the database Reference and Advice Coalition of National Libraries (全国图书馆参 考咨询联盟, Quanguo Tushuguan Cankao Zixun Lianmeng). The results show that the work has been translated into many languages of the world; however, there are only a few translations into Spanish. Despite the translation shortage, products based on the novel, such as films and videogames, have been detected and they have had a great popularity in Spain. Finally, among the analyzed studies (books, articles, doctoral thesis and masters’ thesis), only a small part focuses on the Chinese-Spanish combination. Los inhibidores de puntos de control inmunitarios mejoran enormemente el pronóstico del cáncer; sin embargo, los eventos adversos graves relacionados con el sistema inmunitario pueden causar la muerte de manera prematura. Las recomendaciones actuales para el tratamiento de neumonitis inducida por inhibidores de puntos de control (CIP) se basan principalmente en terapias inmunosupresoras, y también se requieren agentes antifibróticos, especialmente en pacientes con mala respuesta a los corticosteroides y curso más prolongado de neumonitis. Esto se debe a que los cambios fibróticos tienen un papel importante en la evolución patológica de la CIP. Presentamos un caso que demuestra que el nintedanib es un candidato prometedor para tratar o prevenir la CIP, por su potente efecto antifibrótico y su perfil de seguridad. Por otra parte, el nintedanib podría inhibir parcialmente el crecimiento tumoral en pacientes con cáncer de pulmón no-microcítico, y su eficacia puede mejorar aún más si se le combina con otras terapias antitumorales. Background: Hyperglycemia is an independent risk factor for the poor prognosis in patients with traumatic brain injury (TBI), and stress-induced impaired insulin function is the major factor of hyperglycemia in non-diabetic patients with TBI. Several types of research suggested that insulin resistance (IR) is related to the poor prognosis of neurocritical ill patients; here we focused on the role of IR in non-diabetic patients after TBI. Methods: We performed a prospective observational study with the approval of the Ethics Committee of our institute. IR was accessed via the update Homeostasis Model Assessment (HOMA2) of IR, a computer-calculated index by glucose and insulin level. HOMA2 - 1.4 was considered as the threshold of IR according to the previous studies. The glycemic variability (GV) indices were calculated by fingertip blood glucose concentration at an interval of 2 h within 24 h to explore the relationship between IR and GV. The outcome was the 6-month neurological outcome evaluated with the Glasgow outcome scale. Results: A total of 85 patients with isolatedmoderate-to-severe TBI (admission GCS = 12) were finally included in our study, 34 (40%) were diagnosed with IR with HOMA2 = 1.4. After propensity score matching (PSM), 22 patients in IR group were matched to 34 patients in non-IR group. Patients with IR suffered increased systemic glycemic variation after isolated moderate-to-severe TBI. IR was a significant factor for the poor prognosis after TBI (OR = 3.25, 95% CI 1.03-10.31, p = 0.041). Conclusions: The IR estimated by HOMA2 was associated with greater GV and an unfavorable outcome after isolated moderate-to-severe TBI. The corpus, being an effective tool, is utilized in multiple fields. One of them is the Translation. However, this resource isn't used frequently in translation studies when one of the languages in question is classical chinese (written language used anciently in China). And when it comes to an ad hoc parallel corpus, the steps of how to create it are usually omitted by researchers who make such investigations. The objective of this article is to present how to elaborate a classic Chinese-Spanish parallel corpus taking as example the historic novel Romance of the Three Kingdoms and its two translations into Spanish. To reach the objective, we have described the problem of creation and exploitation of this type of corpus, following the order of the phases of the process. We've found that some of the phases are universal while other phases are unique for old languages and for the linguistic combination Chinese-other language. And in this latter case, there's a lack of effective applications. With the current work, we hope to offer useful information to those scholars who are willing to carry out their own investigations based on self-built parallel corpus and at the same time related to the classic Chinese works. SARS-CoV-2 is a newly discovered beta coronavirus at the end of 2019, which is highly pathogenic and poses a serious threat to human health. In this paper, 1875 SARS-CoV-2 whole genome sequences and the sequence coding spike protein (S gene) sampled from the United States were used for bioinformatics analysis to study the molecular evolutionary characteristics of its genome and spike protein. The MCMC method was used to calculate the evolution rate of the whole genome sequence and the nucleotide mutation rate of the S gene. The results showed that the nucleotide mutation rate of the whole genome was 6.677 × 10-4 substitution per site per year, and the nucleotide mutation rate of the S gene was 8.066 × 10-4 substitution per site per year, which was at a medium level compared with other RNA viruses. Our findings confirmed the scientific hypothesis that the rate of evolution of the virus gradually decreases over time. We also found 13 statistically significant positive selection sites in the SARS-CoV-2 genome. In addition, the results showed that there were 101 nonsynonymous mutation sites in the amino acid sequence of S protein, including seven putative harmful mutation sites. This paper has preliminarily clarified the evolutionary characteristics of SARS-CoV-2 in the United States, providing a scientific basis for future surveillance and prevention of virus variants. For the spatial notion, there are three dimensions: front-back, up-down, left-right. And the temporal concept is composed of the past, the present and the future. In the worlds' languages, it is very common for us to use spatial terms in order to express temporal concepts. In this study, we will study the linguistic manifestations of the metaphor THE TIME AS SPACE by Lakoff (1980) in Chinese, Spanish and English. The objective of the research is to analyze the images the Other Chinese shows in book covers of contemporary Chinese narrative translated to Spanish and Catalan between 1949 and 2019. In the field of translation, the paratexts can be as important as text itself when delivering cultural information. Nonetheless, the content of paratexts offers more flexibility for the editors and translators to display their own ideology and stereotypes based on the book covers. Having analyzed 197 samples, it is discovered that the image of the Other Chinese in translated book covers make them closer to readers' expects instead of portraying the real image of China. From the viewpoints of the temporality, gender, and the cultural markedness, it is concluded that the translation of paratexts have the tendency of distorting Chinese people in the book covers instead of depicting the theme objectively. The teaching and learning of foreign languages in China do not escape the influences of the traditional Confucianist system. To study this phenomenon, it is necessary to distinguish between Confucian philosophy and Confucianism in order to identify the cultural substrate that prevents the teaching system from adopting an open attitude to the communicative approach. This article shows the originality of Confucian philosophy and the keys that lead to the reinterpretation of certain limitations and induce the exploration of cultural aspects that do not conflict with the foundations of communicative teaching. The objective is to analyze the primordial elements of Confucian philosophy, its deviations and the guidelines of a communicative teaching established in the higher courses for the teaching of Spanish in the Republic of China. Purpose: miR-150-5p is associated with several diseases but its relation with cardiac hypertrophy (CH) is yet to be unveiled. However, long intergenic non-protein coding RNA 174 (LINC00174) is implicated in CH. The purpose of this study was to investigate the roles of LINC00174 and miR-150-5p in relation to CH progression. Methods: A mechanical cyclic stretch was applied to create 4 groups of H9 cardiomyocytes: 15% 7, 15, 24 and 48 hr stretches, as well as unstretched control. Transfection method was used to up-regulate expression levels of LINC00174 and miR-150-5p in H9 cardiomyocytes. RT-qPCR and Western blot were used to determine the effect of LINC00174 on mRNA expression levels of miR-150-5p, proliferation and apoptosis biomarkers. Cell proliferation was determined by CCK-8 assay and the target gene of LINC00174 was detected by luciferase reporter assay. Results: Expression level of LINC00174 was high in H9 stretched cardiomyocytes. When overexpressed, it enhanced the mRNA expression of proliferation biomarkers and down-regulated apoptosis biomarkers. More so, miR-150-5p was down-regulated in H9 stretched cardiomyocytes and it was a direct target of LINC00174. Furthermore, miR-1505p restoration reversed the effects of LINC00174 overexpression on proliferation and apoptosis biomarkers. Purpose: To examine the role of microRNAs (miRNAs), miR-331-5p, in gastric cancer (GC). Methods: The mRNA level of miR-331-5p and protein level of 6-phosphofructo-2-kinase/fructose-2,6- bisphosphatase-3 (PFKFB3) were determined using quantitative real-time reverse transcription- polymerase chain reaction (qRT-PCR) and western blotting, respectively. The cell viability and proliferation of the two GC cell lines (AGS and MKN45) were evaluated using Cell Counting Kit-8 (CCK- 8) and bromodeoxyuridine (BrdU) assays. Cell migration and invasion of AGS and MKN45 were evaluated using wound healing and invasion assays, respectively. Potential interactions between miR- 331-5p and PFKFB3 were assessed by luciferase activity assay, while the effects of the interactions on cell physiology and metabolism were investigated in cells overexpressing both miR-331-5p and PFKFB3. Results: MiR-331-5p overexpression inhibited cell proliferation, suppressed migration and invasion, and inhibited glycolysis in AGS and MKN45 cells. The mRNA for the glycolytic regulatory enzyme PFKFB3 was shown to be a direct target of miR-331-5p and modulated by miR-331-5p. In rescue experiments, PFKFB3 reversed the miR-331-5p-induced inhibition of proliferation, migration, invasion, and glycolysis in AGS cells. Conclusion: This work supports a role for miR-331-5p through the modulation of PFKFB3 activity in GC in vivo, thus providing insight into novel potential therapies for the treatment of GC.
