Temperature increase by AuNPs irradiated with laser, was evaluated to determine the differences generated useful in photonic plasmon photothermal therapy or multiphoton plasmon photothermal therapy respectively. AuNPs were synthesized by the Turkevitch method and characterized by spectroscopic techniques. The AuNPs were irradiated by a Nd:YAG laser for 210 s, with 532 and 1064 nm wavelength at 5, 10 and 15 Hz pulse repetition rate frequency. Temperature recording was carried out every second by a type-K thermocouple bounded to an ARDUINO® card. AuNPs showed spherical shape, size of 20.7+0.2 nm and a maximum absorption peak of 520.16+0.93 nm. AuNPs irradiated at 1064 nm wavelength showed the greater temperature increase.
