Introduction: the application of tense logic to the verbal expressions of patients has provided interesting conclusions that allow for a better understanding of the psychopathology of time. Material and methods: the approach to subjectivity Method (Mas) was used with the patients and afterwards the tense logic. Results: once the analysis was carried out two variants were found: a) the logical-temporal forms that the studied subjects adopt when they are under the absolute control of a particular temporality (past, present or future), where rigidity is shown and fluency is not allowed. here a combinatorial of affirmations and negations of the different temporal predicates has been demonstrated, altering the "effective presentification". b) other forms, considered discordant, that are capable of profoundly modifying the conditions that temporal rationality requires. Large logical errors have been recorded in this group, such as: invasion, detention, confusion, investment or time gaps. the "accumulated temporalities", the "propositional functions" or the use of "universal quantifiers" have provided the tools required to symbolize such errors. Conclusions: finding an "implicit logic" of these disorders has made it possible to better understand how categories of time are de-structured in pathological conditions and, furthermore, to make inferences towards normalized temporality, avoiding paradoxes and philosophical discussions. in such a case, the clinic appears as a safe platform from which normality can be studied.
