This paper analyses the backgrounds of LGBT+ migrants living in Chile, and considers the various types of violence they experience at the intersection of vectors of differentiation: national origin, sexual orientation-gender identity and socioeconomic position, as well as markers of ethnicity and racialisation. The results show that many LGBT+ migrants leave their place of origin not only because of social and economic factors, but also due to the discrimination and violence they experience due to their sexual or gender identity, which is known as sexile. These forms of violence occur throughout their migrant experience in ways that vary but are nevertheless constant. In the context of migrant reception in Chile, the presence of these people poses a double threat to the State's hetero(cis)patriarchal order, on the one hand, and the national order, on the other, straining the conventional idea of citizenship. Based on a corpus composed of normative texts from Chile referring, on the one hand, to international migrations (1975 and 2021) and, on the other, to sexgender diversity (2012 and 2018), this article aims to analyze the way in which prefigurations of the migrant subject and of the subject of gender-sexual dissidence and diversities are constructed, in addition to its implications for lgtbi+ migrants. The approach is made from the critical analysis of feminist discourse. The analysis allows us to observe prefigurations that adopt a position of unidimensional identity reification, conceiving this subject, on the one hand, exclusively as a hetero-cis normed economic migrant, and on the other, as a vulnerable gender-sexual minority, thus implying an erasure of lgtbi+ migrants and the specific inequalities that affect them. With the end of the civil-military dictatorship, Chile began a socio-political transition marked by a rhetoric of "consensus," which resulted in the neutralization of differences, leading LGBTI+ and migrant experiences to situate themselves in a place of non-contradiction. This article aims to observe the tension in understanding citizenship in the post-dictatorship period based on the demands of LGTBI+ and migrants in the country. We present a critical documentary analysis --from a queer feminist approach-- of sexuality and migration policies, which show a clear assimilationist slant based on an idea of "citizen" that does not disrupt transitional peace. Emphasis is placed on the contradictions between the grand narrative of the peace agreement and post-dictatorship cohesion and the invisibilizations that LGBTI+ and migrant collectives went through. Likewise, the generalist uses of diversity as a renewed form of assimilation are highlighted. The originality of this analysis lies in the fact that it provides an intersectional review of how policies are usually thought of under a single vector of difference --class, origin, or sexuality-- without bringing to the forefront the articulation of differentiating social structures in which the new transitional process is structured. We conclude that, in the processes of differentiation that reified these norms, dissidents and migrants were labeled as a "problematic otherness," over which government was exercised, mainly to avoid a deviation from the frameworks accepted as "normal" for the security of the recent Chilean democracy. This article deals with gender-sex violence as a significant expression of the structural nature of gender and sexuality in migratory processes. From the biographical approach, expressions of the multiple forms that this violence acquires (direct, structural, cultural) are addressed in the narratives of ten cis and trans migrant women of Latin American origin who reside in the cities of Antofagasta and Santiago, located in the north and central Chile, respectively, and who have an active participation in social organizations that carry out community care tasks, although these labours are not part of the purposes and main actions of these organizations. The approach is carried out around the idea of politicization in two senses: first, from the proposal to politicize sex-gender violence —that is, to make visible the power relations that make it possible and the historical processes that have led to the construction of “violent” bodies and lives from the framework that intersects gender and sexuality with foreignness, ethnicity, “race” and class, among other dimensions—; and, second, from the analysis of experiences of politicization of some of these migrant women in which this sex-gender violence is re-signified as the engine of their social participation, a re-signification crossed by the tensions and contradictions that this channeling of participatory action in tasks characterized by sex-gender inequality such as care implies. Although it is concluded that the scope of these experiences in the transformation of this sex-gender violence is fundamentally limited to the individual scale of intradomestic violence, it is proposed that these organizational experiences, in their daily actions and practices, silently and in the long run term undermine the liminality of the foreigner in relation to the recognition of rights by the State of residence, which harbors transformative potentialities of the idea of citizenship, at least from that practical dimension. This article presents the results of a qualitative study carried out in some communes of the city of Santiago de Chile, and in Antofagasta, in northern Chile. The analysis shows how the articulation between foreignness -which refers both to the migratory situation and to processes of ethnicization and racialization- and a deregulated real estate market and a subsidiary neoliberal State, create informality and precariousness in access to housing, which materializes in at least three situations: abusive rent conditions, overcrowding and self-construction in camps. When studying the built heritage reality from a historical perspective, a historical rather than an architectural perspective is usually expressed as a result. It proposes an ontologicalexistential tool-instrument that integrates open readings and feeds back the traditional ways of observing and studying heritage built objects from a phenomenological approach and in three temporal instances: from today to the past, then back to the present. Along with the growth of the international migration over the last 20 years in Chile, there has been a steady increase in scientific research and publications. This academic interest has allowed the development of a field of studies that is characterized, as every field is, by a certain accumulation of knowledge, thematic diversification, theoretical discussion, approaches from different disciplines and delimitation of particular forms. The interest of this article is to analyze the scientific production on migration in Chile during this period, using two approaches: one thematic and the other analytical. In the results of this work, a reflection on the way in which the category of migration is constructed from the field of social sciences in the country and a possible thematic agenda is presented for future research.
