A therapeutic intervention study of 20 patients with vulgar psoriasis, belonging to San Fernando Parish, in Montes, Sucre State (Venezuela), was carried out from May to December, 2013 who were randomly selected and assigned in 2 groups of identical quantity of members: a control group which used conventional medication with triamcinolone, and the study group which received topical treatment with Aloe vera cream (sabila) with inert base; in order to determine the effectiveness of the last one. To establish the comparison between both groups, non parametrical techniques were used due to the reduced number of patients, and a significance level of 0.05 was always considered. It was obtained that the therapeutic modality with sabila cream was as effective as the triamcinolone use, but unlike this last drug, it showed no adverse reactions. Thus, it could be concluded that the therapy with Aloe vera is effective to treat patients with vulgar psoriasis. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

The tobacco is criticized by its negative incidence in the human health, although it understands each other the importance it has for the economy of the country and for the consumer's preferences, because of it, it is not suspend from the national production but we are conscious of the necessity to develop a less aggressive product to the environment. It was carried out an investigation in the central region of Cuba, in the period of the 2002-2009, with the purpose of promoting the environmental education in the tobacco sector, by means of the training and the agricultural extension, to contribute to obtain the sustainable productions. Theoretical and empiric methods were used, with them a diagnosis of the learning necessities was obtained on the topic and a program of pertinent training was applied through the agricultural extension. The obtained results indicated advances in the environmental education that were evidenced in the academic preparation of the professionals, the participation in events and development of projects referred to the environmental topic. Also the technical attendance to producers, the introduction and extension of scientific achievements, they propitiated the application of agroecological practices in the tobacco production with the purpose of obtaining high yield and quality with less noxious effects to the environment. It was carried out an evaluation of the behavior of the postgraduate preparation in ten companies dedicated to the tobacco production in their phases: agricultural, pre-industrial and industrial located in the central territory of Cuba, during the period 2002 at the 2009, with the objective of valuing their contribution to the individual development and the good acting of the professionals in the sector. For they were used it the methods: historical - logical, induction - deduction, analysis-synthesis and systemic that allowed the qualitative valuation of the trajectory of the superación, the reasoning of the particular problem and the generalizations at country level, the analysis of the facts that happen in the process, the elements that conform the system and the relationships among them. Also the direct observation of the preparation process and the interviews to the professionals. As a result it was identified that most of the professionals occupy directive positions and technicians and the received superación it propitiated the individual development, the good acting and positive productive results. Another important result was the progressive and stable increase in actions of the graduate degree modalities, graduate and the academic superación, I didn't seize in the obtaining of scientific degrees. The superación of the professionals contributed to the improvement in the execution of its functions, with the transmission of knowledge and experiences to the tobacco production and in turn to the effect regulator of the activity.
