This reflection is the producto of a series of questions about the current situation.It starts first by analyzing the necrophilic and suicidal tendencias established in modern epistemology. After this, from the tools of decolonial thought, the modern/colonial epistemological development is analyzed an how it introduces the existential contradictions of both contempt for the human species and anthropocentric relationships and the phenomenological void in which the current civilizational crisis rests. conclude with a debate between the concept of liberation and the decolonial theory. This research paper aims at providing some elements of analysis on the complex issue of the colonization of nature. In it a descriptive argument is carried out based on theoretical findings on the relationships between extractivism, which is a proper practice of the colonial device, and what is here called colonization of nature. The article initially presents an assessment of the impact on the configuration of the ancestral vision and appropriation of the territory and its cultural contents, as a result of the imposition of a new semantics, in reference to the device of the colonial powers. Then, the relationship between extractivism and the process of colonization of nature is analyzed; to finally sketch a brief reflection, by linking contemporary issues and contexts. Body is a cultural experience. The social, political and religious transformations of the XVI and XVII centuries altered the relation of the body to mysticism. A narrative field in which this change was fell were the Baroque biographies, in which corporeity enriched the spirituality: trances, maladies and mortifications appeared on the scene in a way different from that treated in medieval hagiographies. The narratives found in the exemplary lives of the colonial period of New Granada about people who died with a reputation of sanctity assumed this new experience of the body. In these texts, addressed to lay readers, one can observe the place held by mortification and penance in relation with this new experience in the colonial period. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
