The right to personal information privacy and technological advancements in Ecuador entail significant ethical and legal challenges. While the Constitution and the Organic Law on Personal Data Protection safeguard this right, its effective implementation faces obstacles such as the absence of a privacy-oriented culture, institutional limitations, and advancing technology. The main challenge lies in achieving a balance between data protection and leveraging opportunities offered by technological advances such as Big Data, artificial intelligence (AI), and the Internet of Things (IOT), despite the risks to privacy and security. From an ethical perspective, the principle of informational self-determination should enable individuals to control their data. Therefore, Ecuador must strengthen its technical and operational capabilities, raise awareness about the significance of data confidentiality and establish governance structures with accountability mechanisms to ensure the ethical and responsible use of technological advancements, safeguarding citizens' fundamental rights. Spatial planning is positioned as a strategic public policy to articulate the spatial dimension within territorial development strategies in Latin America. This article aimed to examine the historical evolution and contemporary regulatory frameworks associated with territorial planning in the region, in order to characterize the visions of territorial development currently institutionalized. Through documentary analysis, a transition is identified from partial paradigms focused on economism, urbanism or environmentalism, towards systemic conceptions that seek to integrate the multiple territorial dimensions within a multidimensional approach. The objectives enshrined legally denote an emerging vision that aspires to sustainability, equity, institutionality and quality of territorial life. However, the implementation challenges are still substantial to effectively materialize this overcoming conception. The article proposes a review of Spanish cooperative laws in order to identify provisions that promote gender equality in the composition of the management and governing bodies of these companies. Considering that equality is one of the essential values of the cooperative identity, it would be expected that the realization of this principle in corporate governance would be -at the very least-on the expected level for capitalist companies, especially publicly traded companies, with which cooperative societies share a similar corporate structure. However, further analysis reveals that, while some autonomous laws are notable for having included significant measures in these generic, corporate, economic, and promotional aspects, the majority still lack explicit commitments regarding gender equality. Therefore, it is deemed advisable to formulate a set of guidelines and recommendations on this matter, aligned with those provided in the Good Governance Code of Listed Companies, to which the entire cooperative movement should adhere, subject to the comply or explain approach. Introduction. The effect of policies to improve residents’ well-being, in terms of professional burnout and work commitment is controversial, and its result after the implementation of the “residents’ law” (1917/2018) in Colombia is unknown. This study explores the effect of this law on Colombian surgical residents. Methods. Explanatory sequential mixed methods study. Initially, all surgical residents in the country were invited to self-complete the UWES-17 and MBI-HSS questionnaires to evaluate work commitment (vigor, dedication, and absorption) and professional burnout (emotional exhaustion, depersonalization, and low personal accomplishment) before (2019) and after (2022) the implementation of the law. Different hypotheses were tested using structural equation models. The results were explored with surgeons through focus groups. Qualitative information was analyzed manually and by artificial intelligence, and reported into main themes. Results. 400 residents participated in the study. Burnout rates were 24.8% before and 15.8% after (p=0.032). The structural equations analysis confirmed that emotional exhaustion over professional burnout was lower in 2022 (p=0.022). No significant changes in work commitment were identified. The main explanation was attributed to the economic benefits of the law. Conclusion. The burnout rate in Colombian surgical residents was significantly reduced after the implementation of the “residents’ law”. The work refers to the design of a specific procedure, so that it constitutes a methodology, in the process of evaluation and analysis of non-constructive and assembly investments with the insertion of technological components in the province of Villa Clara, and in this way fill a gap within the regulatory activity of the Office of Regulation and Environmental Safety (ORSA) of said province. In the same way, broaden the spectrum of its specialists and promote multidisciplinary work based on decision-making when granting the technological opinion, as a governing document in the authorization process. This non-experimental, structured, cross-sectional research seeks to provide an overview of the teaching of laws and regulations that affect the library profession, taking as an example the library science career at the Universidad de Buenos Aires. The research approach is mixed: quantitative (graduate surveys) and qualitative (interviews with different professionals) methods were combined. It contains a brief review of the laws involved and provides advice for their inclusion in the degree study plans. The Draft Bill aims to amend the State legislature liability framework for breach of European Union law provided in Spanish Law 39/2015 of 1 October on the common administrative procedure for public authorities, Spanish Law 40/2015 of 1 October on the legal system governing the public sector and Spanish Law 29/1998 of 13 July governing administrative court proceedings. This article analyzed the application of the law of agricultural centers of 1887 in the Buenos Aires province. For this, the agricultural center La Constancia, in the Ayacucho district, located in the southeast of the provincial territory, was taken as the object of the investigation. Through the interweaving of various sources and the approach to the existing bibliography on the subject, an attempt was made to account for the details of its implementation in a case in which, contrary to what happened at a general level, it was possible to achieve, in the early years, some objectives of the law linked to the distribution of land, the development of agricultural production and the settlement of population in rural areas. Although the center was dismantled as such at the end of 1894, as a result of the general lack of success of the law and the economic crisis that the province and its banking institutions were going through, the population settled in the area remained and shaped a community that at the beginning of the 20th century it was thriving and it still remains today, although reduced to a minimum expression. This article aims to expose how maternity protection has been structured in Colombia in light of national and international regulations, as well as legal decisions, through a documentary, qualitative, and descriptive investigation. It also seeks to highlight the effectiveness of the legal process for obtaining the Ministry of Labor’s resolution by employers, which authorizes the dismissal of pregnant women. Furthermore, it aims to identify the legal scope of Labor inspectors’ decisions regarding the termination of employment contracts for pregnant women when there is just cause and analyze the legal avenues available in Colombian law that allow for the justified dismissal of pregnant women. The goal is to verify whether these parameters set by the Ministry of Labor are met in practice concerning the role of the Labor inspector in the termination process of the employment contract with just cause for pregnant women. Legal deposit is an essential legal obligation to facilitate the preservation of a country's cultural heritage, but it is also an ideal means of protecting the freedoms of expression and information by allowing citizens access to publications. In this work, we will focus on analysing, mainly from a legal point of view, the changes introduced in the Spanish legal deposit regulations by the legislative reform enacted in 2022. The aim of this reform was to adapt the Spanish legal deposit legislation to the current editorial and market reality, a reality that is evolving very rapidly, driven by the dizzying speed with which technological innovations are currently being produced. This article analyzes the legal instruments that respond to the climate crisis at the international and national levels, focusing on Uruguay's leadership in response to climate change. It also includes an international perspective on compliance with norms and general environmental protection issues, as well as the impact of new European legislation in terms of sustainability. An illustrative overview of environmental actions carried out in Uruguay is presented, and an examination is made of how the country can integrate into the green or sustainable economy at the national and international levels. The importance of adapting to new laws on human rights and environmental due diligence is mentioned due to Uruguay's importance as a provider and exporter of goods and services to the EU and Germany. The importance of addressing global warming is also highlighted, and some solutions to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and combat climate change are mentioned. The article discusses the development of environmental law at the international level and its importance in environmental protection. International agreements on climate change, such as the Kyoto Protocol and the Paris Agreement, are mentioned. In addition, the signing of the Free Trade Agreement between Mercosur and the EU and environmental concerns related to deforestation in the Brazilian Amazon are discussed. The aim of this paper is to study the history of education in Chile in the 19th century, focusing on its institutions and fundamental actors. For the analysis, we analyse legal and educational texts, which structure the gestation and evolution of the education throughout this century More specifically, we pay attention to the aspects concerning grammar. The externalist and epihistoriographical approach adopted in this research allows us to draw essential conclusions for further general and particular research in this period, which emanate from the interdependence between education and the historical, social and cultural context. The results demonstrate both the importance given to Spanish grammar at all levels of teacher training, which would subsequently be transmitted to the students, as well as the preponderance of the figure of Bello in its theoretical bases. Computer tomography image quality control assessment take part of Cuban national legislation, which could be difficult to accomplish for many reasons. This work is part of the set-up verifications of "in house tool" (EvaCT) designed to calculate parameters of quality control of CT images (CCCT) in various manufacturer's phantoms, "at distance". For this, the behavior of the established parameters was studied in 17 studies of the stablished CCCT routine with the Mediso PET/SPECT/CT Anyscan Trio equipment, comparing the results using manufacture´s reference values, and/ or the international recommended parameter´s tolerances. The results of the system were compared numerically with those obtained by the manufacturer, for each available related parameter, in the corresponding protocol, and did not show significant differences (p≥0.05). In general, the system showed a satisfactory behavior, taking as reference the values and tolerances of the manufacturer, CECMED and IAEA. The correlation between quality descriptors established with different methodologies was analyzed. The tool showed correspondence with the manufacturer's results, making available a greater number of parameters and more operational conditions to be evaluated. The mean values ±SD characterize these parameters in the equipment and its phantom, and can be used for periodic, independent and remote CCCT verification. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
